About this vendor
I picked up a camera and started Brad Nguyen Photography in the summer of 2013 in my small on-campus apartment at UMBC. I was getting ready to start the semester and realized that all my books for my senior year classes were MAD expensive. I needed some money to buy these books. So I picked up the camera and started to shoot some headshots, family shots and shadowed a few photography majors - and since then I've grown a lot since my days with the Canon Rebel T3i.
You’ve probably seen me take pictures at local volleyball tournaments a time or two, and through those connections, I began my journey into the wedding industry just a few years ago. Ever since that first solo wedding, I've taken every wedding as a learning experience. To learn and adapt to all sorts of situations, communicate effectively, along with ways to become a better photographer each moment.
My favorite part of being a photographer is building strong relationships. I love having the opportunity to meet so many amazing people and even grow a stronger bond with people I've spent time playing volleyball with and against! The world is a small place and I am truly honored to be able to share in such an intimate and important moment as witness to true acts of love.
I also love the editing process. Every time I look back as I edit the pictures - it takes me back to that day. Where we were, what was said, and the feeling and energy emitted by the couple I was shooting.
There’s so much more I could tell you about myself, but I want to learn more about you and what I can do to make your day as special as can be! So feel free to browse the albums and social media and reach out for any questions!

fortable in front of the camera.
When our reception was unexpectedly impacted by a power outage, Brad never missed a beat. Despite the circumstances, he remained calm, positive, and continued documenting the day beautifully. At a time when we were overwhelmed and disappointed, he helped us stay present and reminded us what the day was really about.
He captured every emotion, every detail, and all the moments we never want to forget. Looking back, we know that the photographs will be one of the greatest gifts from our wedding day, and we are so grateful they were in Brad’s hands.
If you’re looking for a photographer who is talented, kind, professional, and truly invested in his couples, look no further than Brad Nguyen Photography. We cannot recommend him highly enough.

him before the wedding, and he really knows his stuff! He helped us choose our poses, and his photograph style was just beautiful. He made us feel comfortable, and is an easy person to talk to. After our ceremony on the way to the reception, we requested some photos and poses, and he fit them in no problem! He is very flexible, and you can really depend on him. If you ever have a nice event, Brad is the perfect photographer. 10/10

always responsive, clear, and attentive to our needs. Thanks to the guidance from Brad we structured our timeline to give us flexibility and time to breath and enjoy the moment. Brad was key in ensuring everything ran smoothly and that we captured every important moment.
Brad’s attention to detail and ability to make us feel comfortable in front of the camera was evident as soon as we shot engagement photos. Both sets of photos he delivered were beyond our expectations. They were not only beautifully composed, but also captured the true essence of our relationship, from the candid moments to the stunning portraits.
He made the entire process so easy, and we felt completely at ease with him. We’re so thankful to have these memories to cherish, and we highly recommend Brad to anyone!

on our big day and you couldn’t even tell by the photos. Given we were on a tight timeline Brad came early in the morning outside of his booking window to film some of our details photos to allow for more photo time later on. This professionalism and commitment to the day was seen throughout the day and into the evening. Brad’s quick turnaround of not only our sneak peaks but also our full album was incredible. I’d highly recommend Brad’s services for any Frederick wedding and beyond!

guests too. Not only did Brad take amazing pictures, but he gave us an awesome wedding planning guide, checked-in on us during our planning period, talked to our wedding guests, was organized (even when I wasn't), and made our engagement photoshoot so much fun. He went above and beyond at our wedding and made sure we got all the shots we wanted and then some! We also received multiple compliments from our guests about Brad’s top notch professionalism. hout the covid season. Day of, he was punctual, organized, and got us all the shots we wanted and more!! He was also so quick in getting us our engagement and wedding photos to us - edited beautifully and with so many shots! We would choose him over and over again!
Brad is an absolute blast to work with. We did our engagement and wedding photos with him. He made us feel so natural and at ease in both. It didn’t feel forced or awkward at all (...
which for me taking photos almost always does). Brad took our idea and vision for our engagement and wedding photos and brought them to life in the most beautiful way. I seriously cannot get over how beautiful our photos turned out. He is so organized and captured everything we wanted! He kept us on track but didn’t rush us or didn’t miss a moment to use his creativity to seize a moment and capture a beautiful picture. I seriously cannot recommend him enough. He is so worth the price and is so thoughtful. It was freezing on my wedding day and in between shots he gave me his jacket to stay warm. It’s the little things on a big day that can be super stressful let him take care of your photography you will not be disappointed and he took a huge weight off of us and put us at ease! He stayed in contact with us and was super organized and flexible. Covid threw us for some loops but he always remained helpful and gave us some good ideas as well.
My husband and I decided to forego a big wedding because of the pandemic. So we opted for courthouse nuptials. In order to make the day special we hired Brad to be our photographer...
. We were honored to be Brad's first same-sex couple in-front of the lens. Though a bit nervous, Brad made us feel at ease with his confident, calm demeanor and great direction. The shots turned out fantastic and now we have amazing memories to remind us that 2020 was not all bad :) Thank you, Brad!

orced. He had given his jacket to my wife to keep her warm in between taking pictures because of course we got a cold front on our day. You couldnt ask for a better person to do your wedding photos. Hes an incredible photographer and we will always be using Brad for our events.

lled her big wedding and decided to elope instead. I’m so thankful brad was able to come to my sisters wedding because he did such an exceptional job! He is such an expert at his craft. He was able to give us a couple sneak peaks the day of, and then delivered the entire portfolio a few weeks later. He gave my sister hundred of beautiful photographs that we will cherish forever. I am SO happy he was able to shoot her wedding and look forward to working with him in the future! Do yourself a favor and book this man you won’t regret it. Thanks so much brad!!!!
I cannot day enough good things about Brad! We had to cancel our big wedding due to COVID and planned a simple elopement instead, but you wouldn’t know it was simple from the photo...
s. Brad was great at making us comfortable while taking photos, and he made a local park look like a woodland fairytale. We now have hundreds of beautiful photos, which he gave to us only a few weeks after our wedding. Our biggest problem is choosing only a couple of favorites to frame!
Brad is truly an artist of his craft. His photography skills are very unique. Starting with pre development to post, he is able to envision the creative shots, the most beautiful s...
hots, being able to incorporate the setting and follow up with matching the taste of each client. Unlike many photographers in the business, Brad is able to make you feel calm through his way of engaging you and the camera. No yearbook photo poses, he is able to make you feel comfortable in any way that makes you feel best in within your own skin. Brad is our wedding photographer, but I consider him our lifetime photographer because he is just that good!
Brad was AWESOME! Highly recommend! As a photographer you'd expect him to be able to capture the perfect moments and he did not disappoint. I was confident that he was able to help...
guide us through each shot or even be able to capture a the best candid photo. We ended up booking him for our engagement photos each season of the year and it came out even better than I could've imagine.

agement photos, or working an extra couple of hours on the wedding day to capture all of the great memories. Brad had such a great eye for capturing special moments, and was more than happy to work with any request. We recently printed some of our favorite photos, and couldn't be more happy with the results! The resolution of the photos is perfect, even when printed from home, and they bring us joy every day. If anyone is looking for a modern, talented, and professional photographer in the Maryland area for their special day, than look no further than Brad.
If you want photos of exceptional quality of the best moments of your wedding from a photographer who can, if you want, be independent and still capture the most memorable moments,...
go with Brad. There’s a lot of things to worry about and meticulously track and plan when you’re putting together a wedding. Thanks to Brad, the quality and variety of the photos was not one of them. Having no guidance (or mental space left) to direct or suggest the types of pictures I wanted, Brad took that burden mercifully off my shoulders. He professionally directed and suggested photos that captured the essence and joy of the day. He was open to and listened to our ideas, politely and deftly handled imposing family members, and had a great and welcoming attitude. We were thrilled with our photos and could not have asked for a more qualified and collegial professional.
We split our wedding over the course of 2 days. Brad was a champion! He had a high level of energy, and effervescence that was contagious. He not only made our wedding weekend uniq...
ue—but though it all—every picture he took captured the spirit of the event. I was never one for fairytale weddings, but Brad made sure that our wedding was one of a kind. My family absolutely loved him, and his expertise. The simple fact that Brad put up with my family alone deserves an academy award. He was professional, and had an unlimited amount of creative ideas, and different poses based on the different venues. He put up with the weather, which was at first not particularly favorable, We not only had an awesome wedding experience, but we gained a friend which is a testament in itself. Thank you Brad for your high level of commitment to our wedding, and for exceeding our expectations!
Brad is just WOW! I saw his pictures and I could tell he could tell a story and make a picture give you feelings. He photographed my engagement pictures and wedding pictures and I ...
have been asked by so many people who took them. He is quality but not as pricy as some photographers. He listened to me as a stressed out bride and he took my options to heart and made my vision come true. He truly was the best for my wedding day. If I could give more stars I would, honestly.

After reviewing Brad's portfolio on his website, we decided to reach out to him for engagement photos in the DC area. We wanted someone that was local and were really just looking ...
for a few nice photos for future save the dates, etc. We were very happy with our engagement photos. We also wanted to get some photos around the cherry blossoms, which are somewhat unpredictable with the weather, and Brad was flexible and open to working with ambiguous dates. All in all, we were very happy with our engagement photos and thought Brad did a fantastic job!
