About this vendor
The Brad Thompson Band is a wedding band based in the Dallas / Fort Worth, TX area that can help you curate an unforgettable experience for all your guests. Led by musician Brad Thompson, this highly skilled band has elevated countless special events since 1992. They have traveled around the state of Texas, the country, and even Mexico and Puerto Rico, playing for some of the most remarkable and genuine people.
The Brad Thompson Band primarily plays weddings, but they also play fundraisers, corporate shows, and private events. When you book The BTB is all about one-of-kind experiences, like the sound of a live band playing your favorite song from The Killers while you and your friends shout along to the chorus. Or the sound of a live band playing that precious song from childhood while you dance with your parents on your wedding night. It's even the sound of YOU singing live karaoke while they back you up with top-notch accompaniment. The BTB has been creating these special moments with people for years now. Most of them, like yourself, start as perfect strangers and soon become dear friends and fans!
We're incredibly proud that the group and everyone in our organization are inclusive. The Brad Thompson Band has worked with people of all races, ethnicities, religions, and sexual identities. And it's always a beautiful adventure to learn of someone else's culture, customs, musical tastes, and of course, their food!
We're so happy that you have found us in this giant ocean of wedding bands, and I hope you'll see something extra special here. Our story has been going on for over 32 years, and it's still going. Now we would love to hear about your big event and how we can join your story.

We had some wild weather on our wedding day, but Brad and his band were absolutely amazing through it all. Total troopers—they rolled with the chaos and lifted everyone’s spirits. ...
They brought great energy, played an awesome variety of music that kept everyone on the dance floor, and turned the night into something unforgettable!
Even a year out from the wedding, their communication was awesome—super responsive and easy to work with.
Since then, we’ve heard nothing but compliments from our guests—they definitely gained some fans! We seriously couldn’t recommend them more. Couldn’t have asked for anything better!
Brad Thompson was so easy to communicate with, very professional, and overall made hiring a band the easiest thing I had to do while planning my wedding. He kept it all about the b...
ride and groom and allowed us a lot of say in our setlist. He performed at the ceremony and the reception for my wedding. He played beautifully for the ceremony and brought the energy for the reception. The band brings such a fun and electric vibe, bringing everyone out on the dance floor. Our guests (and even my husband and I) still talk about how great this band was months after the wedding. My husband and I cannot recommend the Brad Thompson Band enough! This band delivers!
Brad Thompson ROCKS! Brad and his band made our wedding so memorable and I could not reccommend him more! Brad and another singer played our ceremony and cocktail hour - he literal...
ly sang us down the aisle. He set the tone for the entire evening. Then his band came out and rocked the place - we were on the dance floor the entire night. Everyone even chanted 'One More Song!' like we were at a rock concert!! He was so easy to work with leading up to our wedding and learned the songs that were important to us. He even made wonderful recommendations when we talked through what our big day looked like. I cannot recommend him enough - and if you're in the Fort Worth area, check out his social media and find where he's playing locally. You won't be disappointed!!! Thank you Brad and your Undulating Band!!
I've seen them play at 2 of my Fiance's Christmas parties...they're awesome, fun and love their range of music.

Brad and his band were easily the best part of our reception and I got countless comments about how amazing they were. He kept our guests on the dance floor all night and also anno...
unced all events throughout the evening. They also did the lighting throughout the venue and it looked fabulous. They played all the songs we requested plus lots of other classics that fit into our vibe. Brad was so helpful and responsive throughout the wedding planning process, especially when we had to postpone due to COVID. Highly highly recommend for weddings, parties, or any event where you want your guests to have the best time! Thank you Brad!!
My husband and I recently got married at Springs McKinney Stone Hall. We had originally seen Brad and his band at a friends' wedding the year before. We couldn't get over how enter...
taining and talented they were. So, when we got engaged I obviously had to contact Brad to see if they were available. From the beginning, he was super responsive and helpful. I had about a million questions for him over a 4 month period and he never hesitated to answer in detail. Fast forward to the big day and Brad and his guys made the reception one to remember. Pretty much all of my guests commented on how great the band was over anything else. My family also had a couple weird requests during the reception and they totally just went with the flow. They also did a special private song for us right before our exit that was so special. They had been playing for hours at that point and it was still amazing...I would say it was my favorite part of the night. I promise you will be so happy with these guys on your big day!
Brad and his band did an excellent job. Communication was consistently on point. Reponses were fast and he was always accessible. His business demeanor is excellent as well - he...
understands the importance of customer service and makings sure he gets all the details right.
We ended up picking Brad since he was a referral of someone that we knew in the Ft. Worth area that said this is "our guy." We listened and previewed a bunch of bands and I'd say that Brad's band sounded great and was definitely on the high energy side. They play a bit of everything (Modern Pop, Country, Rock, Classic Rock, Big Band, etc...) and you pick from a set list on the songs that you'd like them to play. Add to that, they'll learn 5 songs of your choosing. I absolutely loved it...we had his band learn two acoustic Foo Fighters songs and a couple country songs and he hit it on the mark. We ended up going with a five piece.
Aside from just the band, Brad has all the gear to DJ and queue songs up (i.e. bridal party enters reception room, cutting the cake music, whatever it may be...) and he will also MC for you.
Would I do it all over again if I could? Absolutely. His band was stellar I plan on referring him to any other couples I know getting married. Heck if we have any family parties that are big enough I'd consider hiring him for those too.
Brad - you and your band rocked it...especially our private dance song. Can't believe you got that song down cold the way you did. Thank you for everything!!

Totally worth the money we enjoyed the band so much.

d and I had the entire band (with the horn section) and they were worth every penny. Not only did the band engage with the guest on stage, but the horns would come out on the dance floor and join in while playing.
On the other side, Brad's kindness and professionalism were outstanding. I must say, out of all my vendors hired, he was the most accessible and professional. Brad went out of his way to make sure that either plan (inside or out) of our wedding day went perfect, which it did.
We cannot express our gratitude to Brand and his band and would highly recommend them if you are considering a live band at your wedding. OH--did I mention that Brad also DJ while the band isn't playing! Yep--just amazing.
I've had the great privilege of backing Brad Thompson as drummer for the 11:11 service at FUMC Fort Worth. Brad nails what I call the "5 or 5000" rule impeccably. He brings it hu...
ge whether for 5 people or 5000. His Undulating Band I have seen many times and had the great pleasure of video recording one of their Dallas weddings. They brought the fire for several hours solid; the party NEVER cooled off. Brad and this band will do the same for your event guaranteed.
Brad is a SUPER nice guy and his band is amazing. I've been a fan for 17 years, and he shows no signs of slowing down!

odating! Their breadth of knowledge and experience can help you create the perfect "set list" for your big day/event. They can play just about anything you want to hear. They can play as guests arrive, during the ceremony, and at the reception. This means you only have to hire one group of musicians, which is a huge cost savings! I am speaking from experience when I say you will be amazed at the professionalism and talent they bring to your event. Definitely the best.
Brad Thompson and his band are the best in the metroplex and in the whole state of Texas! They play all kinds of music.. and they do it well!! You will not be disappointed. Alw...

y, extraordinarily talented and will pull from his amazing original material, wonderful remasterings of your favorite tunes, and straight up covers to make your reception even better than you thought it could be.
The only problem having Brad play your wedding is that the likelihood of me crashing your reception goes through the roof.
Brad's band played my wedding in 2005. It's good to see they're still at it. Such a fun time. They can play almost anything.
Brad and his band can make any event fun. Highly recommend. #weddingband

any events and they never disappoint. I've known Brad since 199 something (groupie?) and him and his band continue to put out great music and most importantly, they care about the bride/groom having the best time during the most important day of their lives! The can rock, roll, funk it up, mellow it down, throw curveballs and even bring obscure to the party. There literally is nothing they can't play!
Brad and the band always deliver! Great music and energy!
