Ladies, finding a wedding photographer you love is hard work. Like you'd probably rather squeeze yourself into a pair of Spanx on a Texas day in July than spend hours googling Austin wedding photographers. If they aren't already booked two years out, then they are insanely expensive. At least that is how I felt when I began the search for the perfect wedding photographer. I think I can make the generalization that most of us feel like the wedding photographer is about as important as the dress. After all the food is eaten and alcohol is consumed, all you're left with are the pictures...and you want them to look amazing. I looked at around twenty Austin wedding photographer's websites. After weeding out the unreasonably expensive ones, I had my list narrowed down to just a handful. I kept looking at Brandon's website and sighing at how lovely his photographs were. I had my fingers crossed that my husband had the same love affair with his photos as I did. One evening I made my husband sit and look through the list of wedding photographers I'd bookmarked. It went something like this: "yuck, those are too posed." "They look silly staring at each other." "How many sunset kissing photos are there?" "Really? Just no." And then we made it to Brandon's website. My husband looked at his photographs and replied "wow, these are really fantastic." That was all we needed. I emailed Brandon and set up a meeting. Brandon met us at a local coffee shop. He made us feel relaxed and took time getting to know our story. It was very clear he loves photography and loves capturing the uniqueness of each wedding. Brandon brought photographs for us to look at, and as we thumbed through his portfolio we became more excited that we'd found our guy. He was attentive and personal, professional, and his pricing is completely reasonable. He also does videography and the video samples on his blog are beautiful. We absolutely loved working with Brandon on our wedding day. We opted to do a first look before the ceremony. Talk about an emotional time. Brandon was so relaxed and calm and did an amazing job talking us through it. He took the opportunity to snap some portraits of us after our first look. He guided us into natural poses and asked us to walk and move so he could capture some candid moments. During the ceremony and reception Brandon bounced all over the place to capture pictures of us, our guests, and our decor. Brandon worked quickly to edit our images and send them to us. He uses a great website, which makes it easy to share the images with family and friends and download high resolution images. Brandon also puts together and makes wedding albums, which are awesome. We are so happy Brandon was there to capture our big day. His photography is beautiful and authentic and he truly captured our story.
