Bread Art is owned and operated by husband-and-wife duo Chris and Heather Peterson. Having spent years working as a professional pastry chef, Chris had always dreamed of opening an independent bakery. In 2005, he and Heather decided to turn that dream into a reality and have never looked back. Since then, they have earned a reputation throughout Minnesota for their baked goods, which are prepared daily and are free of all additives and preservatives. Bread Art is available to provide delectable homemade treats to celebrations throughout the city of Minneapolis and the surrounding areas. In your complimentary tasting, you will outline your vision for your wedding cake and discuss any specific taste preferences and dietary requirements. From there, Chris and Heather will craft a baking package that fits your needs and desires and will also provide full delivery and setup.

Heather at Bread Art made us an INCREDIBLE wedding cake. I cannot tell you how many compliments we received. Who knew almond buttercream could be so delicious!? Heather is kind and incredibly generous-- even offering us cake stands when we totally neglected the thought. I would buy every dessert I'd ever need from this bakery if I lived close enough. 10/10

BreadArt blew us away! We went to their cake testing and the owner personally brought out our items and checked in on us. We also ended up ordering some of their mini bars for our reception. We ordered twice as many as we thought we needed and they were all eaten by the end of the night. The cake was also beautiful and delicious. Please go to BreadArt (and try their other baked goods while you're there!)

Heather made it SO easy for me and the desserts were delicious. We got lots of compliments on the creativity of the desserts. Highly recommend!! Taste fantastic for a very reasonable price

We wanted to use a local bakery for our wedding and are so glad we picked Bread Art! Heather was so easy to work with and made the whole process simple. We told her our vision of a simple cutting cake and 300 mini cupcakes and she was all over it! Also, every single flavor of cake was AMAZING- we could barely narrow it down. All 300 of our cupcakes were gobbled up by guests within a few hours. Bread art also delivered beautiful cake stands along with the cupcakes and they fit our vision perfectly.

We searched forever to find a place that made cakes that tasted good, looked good, were affordable, and had a friendly baker. We tried probably seven places in the Twin Cities including Buttercream, and once we tried bread art we knew it was the right place to go with. We had a great experience and had several guests mention it was the best cake they've had.

This bakery did an amazing job on our wedding cake!! We did sheet cakes from our venue for most of our guests, but we wanted a small cake to cut for the head table, preferably one without eggs since my husband is allergic. Heather was so helpful from the very start! She helped me choose what size cake would work best for my head table, as well as ordered flowers herself to put on it since my florist wasn’t able to. We chose a chocolate cake with raspberry filling and white buttercream. The cake was absolutely DELICIOUS and my husband and I are already talking about getting another one for our first anniversary!

Heather and her team at Bread Art did an AMAZING job on the desserts for our wedding in September :) We ordered mini cupcakes, donut holes, and one small cake and everything turned out both beautifully and delicious!! Heather was also super great to work with and really responsive whenever we had questions. I can't recommend Bread Art enough!

Heather was so easy to work with! When we went for our meeting with her, she had so many pictures to give us ideas and tons of samples to try! Loved the cupcakes and loved how she delivered everything with ease!

Great taste. Was able to work within our budget and time frame. Worked together so well with my caterer and reception host that I didn't have to worry about anything when it came to delivery, setup, etc. The wedding was two weekends ago and we are still enjoying our cake!!

Heather was Awesome. She did everything we asked for. She also kept in touch with us and was able to accommodate our event with ease. Her cake stands were just wonderful to be able to add that little something extra for the event! People just raved about our selection of items. They enjoyed being able to have more than just 1 option and so it was fun for us to be able to do that by her having so many options available.

Heather was great to work with! The tasting was so fun and we picked out a variety of cupcakes, bars, cookies and a cake to have at our wedding at the Loft at Studio J. I wish I had been able to eat more of the dessert on my wedding day because our guests kept raving about how good they were! Bread Art did an incredible job on our wedding cake and cupcakes. We went into the initial consultation with a few elementary ideas and through that meeting, they transformed those ideas into the cake of our dreams. Everything tasted absolutely delicious and looked incredible on the day of.

Our dessert buffet from BreadArt was AMAZING! We received many compliments on our desserts from our guests. The leftovers I tried were fantastic too - I only wish we'd ordered more mini-eclairs so I could have tried one! Not only was everything delicious and beautifully set up, the price was very reasonable! Thank you Heather & BreadArt!

I would give more than 5 stars if I could! Heather at Breadart is AMAZING! From our first meeting, she helped bring our vision to life. Our wedding cake and dessert bar was phenomenal. I've never seen such a long line of guests waiting for dessert. So many raves from our wedding guests, and our cutting cake couldn't have been better! Heather is reliable, did a great job with set up, and managed tear down with the venue. Would recommend time and time again!

Bread Art catered our wedding with cupcakes and a small wedding cake. The chocolate cupcakes were especially good as they were not overly sweet. We have vanilla cake filled with raspberry jelly and topped with almond buttercream cupcakes, as well. As an added bonus Heather was great to work with and had very affordable prices! She was flexible for set up time and was able to accommodate when I switched up the day of timing the day before our wedding. We will be back!

We had a small tiered cake and a few sheets cakes, all different flavors. I did not have much for expectations, and had many ideas of what would look good for cake decoration. Bread Art went above and beyond, finding a way to include everything I suggested and it made a beautiful cake. Heather even put a few cartoon characters at the bottom of my cake, a unique idea I found and really wanted. The cake was so good, we had nothing left over! The cost was the most fair out of all the bakeries we visited, and the cake tasted tons better too!

We wanted a cupcake display so we could have a variety of flavors and keep the cost down. Heather worked with us to get the design and flavors we wanted. She was able to find us cupcake liners that matched our wedding perfectly. She also made us a cake to cut and an awesome, surprise groom's cake.

Heather(the owner at BreadArt) is very friendly, open to your ideas, great with communication. I was an out of town bride so couldn't easily pop over for meetings and Heather worked with me via phone and email, with only one in-person meeting to achieve the look I wanted. The cakes were all so tasty. The hardest part was picking flavors, since all the ones I tried were amazing! Heather delivers the cake for an additional $10 and sets it up at the site for you. It is a locally owned baker, and not some big chain, so it is a more personal feel!

The bakery we were going to use actually closed very suddenly, but fortunately Bread Art took us on at the last minute. So, I didn't actually get to go through the planning process with Heather, but she did exactly what we wanted (and had already planned with our original bakery) and did a wonderful job. We got a 3-tier cake that was beautifully decorated, and 170 cupcakes. The filled cupcakes were DELICIOUS, but a little bit on the small side. Otherwise, Heather was great to work with, responsive to my emails, and the final product and delivery were great. She also put flowers from our florist on the cake, which was very sweet. Prices were pretty good (the tiered cake was a great deal), although I would argue that the cupcakes were overpriced for their size.

Oh so good!!! Heather made us the perfect dessert bar! It was delicious! We did mini cupcakes and various cakes, and we had plenty of leftovers. Anything I asked for, she totally came through on - my sprinkle cake, peanut butter cup cupcakes, everything was phenomenal! Very reasonably priced as well. I will be back for seconds and thirds! Perfect little bakery, nothing mass-produced, yours will be one of a kind!

We have totally and completely fallen in love with Heather's cakes. They are divine! She made us a custom filling for our wedding cake and our cupcakes and sent us home with a few samples to make sure we got what we wanted. We have completely converted to her cakes even for other holidays and will make the drive to her store. Please try her! Every other sampling we did tasted like cardboard compared to Bread Art. You won't be disappointed!

We used Bread Art for our cake and cupcakes for our wedding. Heather was a great help and offered various options during our planning process. The cupcakes were delicious and we have gotten nothing but positive reviews about them! I would definitely recommend Bread Art to my family and friends!

Heather was wonderful! I came in twice to taste the cakes- once with my mom and sister to decide if we would book here for our wedding, and then once again when my fiance could make the trip. She was very flexible with arranging times to meet with us as we were planning the wedding from out of state. She created a delicious wedding cake that was beautiful and just what we wanted :)

Super pleasant to work with. She let us come in twice for samples to make sure we decided on the cake we wanted. Important to note: Most delicious vanilla buttercream ever!! The cake was beautiful and we loved it! She even special ordered cases of chocolate swirls because we asked!! Also, Bread Art was by far cheaper than all other bakeries we looked at and the cake tasted better!

My husband and I met with Heather and she was incredibly helpful. The cupcakes were great and my husband was very pleased. The guests loved them as they weren't messy or required a plate and fork.

Heather was so easy to work with and did a great job on my wedding cake. She knew we were on a budget and she did a great job to respect that. After the cake testing, I knew this was the right place! The buttercream frosting is amazing. Definetly would recommend Bread Art to any other bride!

I met Heather, Bread Art owner, at a small local wedding expo. After looking through her photographs and studying her price list, as well as sampling her cupcakes, we didn't bother ordering from anywhere else. My cake was absolutely beautiful... The 4 tiers served all 180 guests and then some and was under $250 including delivery. I really appreciated the high-end results from a small family-owned business.

I did cupcakes at the wedding. They were wonderful. The price was right! Not only did I not have a cake cutting fee but we didn't have to break the bank to have good cake!
