Breakdown Shakedown

We were very excited about having a live band at our wedding, especially one that is so good and has a great reputation. My husband and I waited behind our reception building during the cocktail hour and even got a chance to chat with most of the members and they were really cool guys. We had hired the band to play for 3 hours with two 15 minute breaks. However, the night of our wedding they performed for about an hour then on mic said they were going to take a "quick break," and took a break that was over 45 minutes long. It was so long the majority of our guests left, thinking the reception was over. My aunt even encountered the lead female singer in the bathroom and let her go ahead in line, but she said she was in "no rush" to get back on stage, then someone else saw her yelling on the phone outside. When we reached out to the agency to ask what happened, they said the lead singer had a sore throat and they decided to put combine their two breaks into one (without telling us, and with adding extra time on it). I also spent several days filling out the song form about what to and what not to play, and they played songs we asked them not to, and then didn't play the only song we asked them to play during the break. Their performance when they were on stage was great, so the band was definitely both the best and the worst part of the night. I couldn't in good conscience recommend them to anyone, however.

My family are all talented musicians so selecting the right wedding band was critical for us. Hands down...choosing Breakdown Shakedown was the best decision we made. After the wedding, many of our guests kept inquiring where we found them and stated they were the highlight of our reception. The agency was also very responsive to my emails and phone calls so I was put at ease throughout the whole planning process. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed! Highly recommend!!!

If you are looking for a band, this is the one! I did lots of research on my bands and ended up with Breakdown Shakedown. They are amazing and worth every penny! My guests raved about my band all night long. They continually told me they hadn't heard a band that good in ages. The singer has an amazing voice and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. They did everything just right.

Book Them!!! McLovin made our wedding reception a dream come true! Their music touched all ages and got almost an entire reception size of over 240 folks out on the dance floor ( Something I have never seen before.) McLovin was extremely professional to work with, attentive, and quick to respond. From the moment we booked them, we felt confident that they were going to give it their all, and we can say now that they excelled all expectations we had! They let us choose songs we wanted to hear prior to the wedding and EVEN learned a new song during our reception at their break to perform knowing how much it meant to may family and I (Still blown away by this!) They were able to get a sense of what the crowd loved and chose songs that made everyone want to get up and dance! I've never seen a more engaging band at a wedding. They made our entire group feel like family by connecting with folks on the dance floor and in the crowd. Not only was the music spectacular; the band's presence, MCing ability and ease working with them throughout the entire wedding planning process and the day of was top notch! My husband and I are searching for another event we can put on just to book them again! :) We can proudly say was are McLovin fans for life!!
