s especially important as our was an LGBTQ+ wedding. She was incredibly easy to work with, communicated well, and helped make sure our day ran smoothly. The weather was iffy leading up to our wedding date and we felt comfort knowing we had a plan for rain or shine. We had the absolute best day and have Lauren and all the incredible staff at BB to thank for that!

nt were set up perfectly and we managed to get 160 people in the tent, with a dance floor!! It was a beautiful day and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. The reason I’m giving 4 stars is because the communication wasn’t the best. Our wedding coordinator was brought in half way through to replace the other wedding coordinator for health reasons. I understand something like this can happen, however, even with the first wedding coordinator it would take weeks to hear back from her, which isn’t ideal with a destination wedding. The new wedding coordinator, Lauren, was great, and made the best of a crazy situation. She really did try, and gave us a beautiful day, but it was still stressful figuring things out because she wouldn’t even know the answers due to her being thrown in. Also, if you want a full liquor bar, don’t come here. This was so hard to figure out and more expensive than any other place we looked!! Even after finally getting a quote on liquor, and confirmed with Ed, one of the mangers about our bar 2 weeks before the wedding, I got a text from Lauren 3 days before the wedding asking if we wanted liquor! This was just really stressful to deal with, AND we put a cap on where we wanted our open bar to stop, and they didn’t abide by it. So if they finally get a full menu and quote on their bar this can all be solved, but till then, just stick with the wine. All in all it was the best day. The venue itself is gorgeous in every way and if they work out the quirks of their bar and communication errors, it is the number one place to get married in my book!

We chose not to have our ceremony at the winery, but everything was set up perfectly when we arrived for cocktail hour. The bartenders were ready to serve and the owners were even there helping to direct parking traffic. We have one complaint (like some other reviews) regarding communication leading up to the wedding. The venue’s coordinator was changed part way through our planning process and it was much harder for us and our wedding coordinator to get responses to questions after that happened. Regarding the bar package, the wine was easy (and very very good!), but determining the mixed drinks and beer was a challenge. This could have been avoided with more communication. After loosely deciding what we wanted, we never got a formal quote or agreement which made for an uneasy feeling. We were more than happy when it all worked out! The bartenders were great and our guests loved the signature drinks, and of course the wine. We DID NOT appreciate the venue coordinator approaching us at the end of the reception as if we would be ready to pay the bill without seeing it before that or ever agreeing to pay the night of. Another frustration for vendors that could’ve been avoided is trash removal at the end of the night. All vendors must remove their own trash. This could have easily been avoided if it was clearly said to our wedding coordinator. The venue coordinator should make things like this very clear to the vendors and our coordinator PRIOR to the wedding day. Since they have been doing weddings for awhile now, it seems like a system should be in place or a fee to remove it should be added for convenience to avoid confusion. Even though the two restrooms inside the tasting room were very nice, we chose to have a restroom trailer brought in (one unit with flushing toilet and sink). We recommend that if your party is 125 people or more you do the same. None of this affected our celebration negatively, but is why we gave 4 stars instead of 5. It really was a perfect reception venue. It seems like the bad communication can easily get better so I definitely recommend the venue to anyone planning a Traverse City winery wedding. If you do, I highly recommend hiring a wedding coordinator because it was lacking from the venue.

room was clean, well maintained, and enjoyable. Your wine is excellent! Most of your staff was very professional and accommodating. Although our wedding ceremony and reception at Brengman Brothers was fabulous I do recommend that communication between Rose, the event coordinator, and the bride/groom be better. At times we would call or email and not get a response for days. I know it can be difficult to respond during 'wedding season' but I would have expected a better response time. We are all busy. Also although Rose was very helpful in accommodating MOST of our needs she was at times difficult to work with in terms of the planning for our big day. There was a lot of unnecessary 'back and forth' that made planning more difficult. Even though my husband nor I experienced this the day of, our guests complained to us after about the unprofessionalism of Rose on our wedding day. I did however notice a huge difference in her demeanor on that day. I understand that big events like weddings can be stressful but as a vendor that offers to host events such as weddings and as an 'event coordinator' I would have expected more. Guests and/or the bride/groom should never feel as if they are 'an inconvenience'. This unfortunately is our one disappointment with Brengman Brothers. Despite all this none of it stopped us from enjoying our wedding so we do thank you. We still would recommend Brengman Brothers Vineyard.
