Their responsiveness to our questions and concerns was always timely, and their assistance in coordinating our wedding ceremony made the planning process seamless. One particularly memorable moment was when Lynwood, despite the rain, skillfully got a fire started for our fire ceremony, ensuring that even Mother Nature couldn’t dampen our special ritual. Adding to the allure of Brenwood Lake Weddings were the beautiful two cabins on the property. Conveniently located in close proximity to the main venue, these cabins were immaculate and provided a perfect staging area for us to prepare for our big day. aesthetic perfectly! When touring venues, we were struggling to find somewhere that captured our love of the outdoors that wasn't the typical rustic barn... thankfully, we found Brenwood! Rustic, mountain perfection! We loved that they offered a weekend-long package and had cabins we could stay in, which we took full advantage of. Our total guest count was 125 people and the indoor venue space was more than accommodating for all of them AND a sizable dance floor! Additionally, we loved the extra elements the grounds offer -- making smores with the firepit, the lawn games, and the gorgeous scenery. The outdoor space allowed folks who didn't want to be on the dance floor to have a good time at our wedding without feeling trapped in their seats. In terms of prep, Brenda was amazing to work with. She was always quick to respond to questions and accommodated us with a final walk-through a couple of weeks before our big day, which we so appreciated. She is also super knowledgeable about other vendors in the area and was a great help to recommend good vendors who they'd had great experiences with previously -- which in turn helped our big day happen exactly as we'd planned! We are so happy with Brenwood Lake, and would highly recommend to any other couple looking for more of a rustic-outdoorsy log cabin vibe for their wedding as we were!

I never felt like anything was unclear; Brenda took the time to explain everything included in the package options, and she always alerted us to when a payment was due. And in terms of decorating, they largely let us decorate the space however we wanted, with only a few commonsense rules/prohibited items. They also allowed us to use some of the decorations they keep in stock, which definitely helped us keep costs down. The venue and its outside space are beautiful to say the VERY least. The natural beauty of the Shenandoah Valley shows, and the owners keep Brenwood Lake looking very tidy and organized. We received so many compliments from guests about the venue. Everyone loved how tucked away it was and how it felt like we had this little wooded glen to ourselves. It really helped the night feel like an enchanted forest. Aside from that, the kitchen space is very large and can accommodate a full catering team. All of the appliances are new and in great condition. There's also a bar that connects the kitchen to the rest of the inside venue, which makes it easy to serve drinks. They also having a movable bar cart that came in handy since we used the inside space and the outdoor patio. There are large changing rooms for both the bride/bridesmaids and groom/groomsmen - plenty of space for everyone to change and get ready. Their bathrooms are also very nice and spacious - multiple stalls so folks aren't kept waiting for long. I could go on and on, but I think I've hit all the main points that any interested couple would be interested in hearing about. In short: if you're looking to get married in the Shenandoah Valley, you won't find a better location or better people to work with than Brenwood Lake. They gave my husband and I - as well as our friends and family - memories to last a lifetime.
