Brett Alison Photography

orning for our engagement photos and was patient with our less than obedient dog who we wanted in the photos. We got exactly what we were looking for! For our wedding photos, the experience was wonderful- we got every shot we were looking for. The photos are stunning, bright and truly capture our wedding day. They were delivered to us exactly on time, we didn’t have to track anything down. Brett added personal touches throughout the process including sending us baked goods, a personalized ornament and our usb drive in a personalized box. We would absolutely recommend Brett to anyone else and would love to work with her in the future

made working with her a breeze, and communication was always easy and efficient. She was quick to respond and offered helpful guidance every step of the way. During our engagement shoot, we instantly felt at ease with her. Brett knows how to suggest poses and provide direction in a way that never feels forced or overly staged. She made us feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera, and the photos truly captured our personalities and the essence of our relationship. On the day of the wedding, Brett was able to capture so many beautiful, candid moments without being intrusive. She perfectly balanced taking stunning shots while allowing us to enjoy our day. We were also blown away by her turnaround time. Brett shared sneak peeks the very next morning, and within just a few days, we had even more photos. Less than a month after the wedding, we had our full gallery! Brett’s thoughtfulness goes above and beyond. A month before our wedding, we received a surprise care package from her, and after the wedding, she sent us a personalized USB with all our photos and an ornament featuring one of our favorite images. We are so thankful for Brett's amazing work and her kind, personal touch throughout the entire experience. She made our wedding memories last forever in such a meaningful way! Thank you Brett!

t’s laid back attitude helped us feel comfortable and excited to be taking photos at our wedding!

nd wedding day, it means we don’t have any immediate plans to work with her again. Brett was extremely helpful throughout the entire process, from booking to our wedding day. Any questions or concerns I had she put me at ease. And not to mention the photos are simply gorgeous, just my style and really capture my now-husband and I naturally but still beautifully. Brett will work with you to capture exactly what you want and is so great to work with, you forget you’ve never done this before. Working with her was an absolute pleasure, 10/5 stars, 15/10 would recommend. Thank you, Brett!

out the wedding planning process from the engagement photos to the day of. On the actual wedding, we were able to enjoy every single aspect of the day without spending tons of time taking pictures and it was still captured perfectly. The delivery of the photos was so timely and we will cherish them for years to come. If you’re looking for a laid back photographer who uses her time efficiently, delivers the most beautiful photos, and genuinely cares about her clients, then Brett should be your first choice!

ather. Before the wedding she sent us a questionnaire to get all the details and wishes for our big day which she exceeded. We would highly recommend Brett,.

reat eye for detail, and shot so many candid photos, which was exactly what we wanted. Throughout the process she was professional and easygoing, as well as sending us wonderful personalized gifts on more than one occasion. Really there are so many reasons to recommend Brett and you would be very happy with the results!

geous photos she produces, but in her ability to truly listen to her clients desires. Her photos creatively capture the emotions of her subjects. Every person is caught in their natural expressions, providing a level of authenticity that is lacking in our everyday consumption of media. Brett Alison Photography--while harnessing a muted presence during the hustle and bustle of your event--is able to manage difficult personalities of your guests, effectively putting them in their place and re-establishing the attention back on her clients. Her protective nature was very much appreciated in navigating the family drama that undoubtedly surfaces during a wedding or during wedding planning. Furthermore, there is no better person to document the true union of two people bringing their lives together. The momentous nature of a wedding day warrants the art that Brett Alison Photography presents in every moment she captures. Look no further than Brett Alison Photography for your wedding day or other joyous event.

wedding, which I highly recommend. Doing the engagement shoot with her really helped my husband and I get comfortable in front of the camera and seeing how she worked really calmed our nerves for the wedding – we knew we were in great hands! She is kind, and extremely communicative throughout the entire process – we never had to wait more than a day to hear back from her whether it was a question related to the wedding or asking for copies of our engagement photos. She was also able to provide a lot of information to us regarding what to expect, how to think about what we’d like to see in our photos, planning for the engagement shoot, etc. One of the main reasons we were enamored with Brett is her photography style. Brett’s photos are always so warm, and you can feel the joy radiating off everyone she captures. I felt true happiness going through her gallery and in that moment, we knew she was the photographer for us – we didn’t have to look around for anyone else! I also want to mention that she has an INCREDIBLE turn around time! She would give us an ETA and blow it out of the water – I’d see an email from her and be surprised she already had our photos ready for review. I can honestly say that going with Brett was one of the best decisions we made, I go through our wedding photos fondly and I’m ecstatic to see all the joyful moments she was able to capture. Another thing about Brett is that she has a cool head on her shoulders. On the day of the wedding, we arrived to the venue ~30 minutes behind schedule so we were a bit stressed. Brett was extremely calm, but direct when needed to be. Her laid backness and professionalism helped calm me down and before I knew it, I was getting ready and forgot she was there – which honestly helped with the nerves as well. She lets you really live and soak in the moment which, in my opinion, helped create the best photos. Lastly, I feel like what really makes Brett great is how much she cares. As I’ve mentioned before she was very kind and helpful throughout the entire process, and she’s also extremely thoughtful. About a month before the wedding we received a small care package in the mail completely by surprise. It was the sweetest gesture we had received from anyone and really helped us get excited for the wedding – thank you again Brett!!! I feel like I’ve been rambling for a bit, but I just want to shout from the rooftops how much I love Brett and recommend that you have her capture your special day. She is definitely someone I am recommending to anyone I know who gets married and I hope that whoever you are reading this, you’ll trust my review and the plethora of others who with their whole heart trusts Brett and can vouch for what a wonderful job she does.

edding planning process and on our wedding day! We first met Brett during our engagement shoot! Brett was super flexible with our schedule and even did a small hike with all her gear to make our engagement photo dreams come true! My husband and I don’t love being photographed but Brett immediately put us at ease. The photos she took were absolutely gorgeous which made us so excited for her to capture our wedding day. A couple weeks before our wedding Brett sent us the sweetest gift which really proved how kind she was and how much she cares about all her clients. On our wedding day Brett arrived on time (or possibly early). She was extremly calm but direct when needed to be. Her laid backness made the day super stress free. Brett captured every moment in our day without us even noticing she was there! The morning after our wedding we received sneak peeks from Brett even after her almost 2 hour drive home! Within a few days we received even more sneak peeks and then the entire wedding gallery of 1000+ photos within a month (even during the busiest season)! Not only did we receive our USB gallery quickly but Brett customized the USB and USB holder (so kind of her). And if you think Brett didn’t already go above and beyond… we just received the cutest ornament with a photo from our wedding day! We are so thankful we found Brett and couldn’t have picked anyone better to capture our favorite day! We hope you give her the opportunity to capture your day too!

We originally reached out to Brett because she had photographed a wedding at our venue before and the photos were so gorgeous that we knew that we were hiring someone who would do a phenomenal job. We were proven right when we received the photos from our engagement shoot, so we were confident going into the wedding! One of our favorite things about working with Brett was that she really focused on capturing the day rather than directing people. Her presence was very calm and laid back - everything felt really natural. She’s a great choice if you’re looking for a documentary style, but also want to capture some portraits. Brett shared a couple of super sneak peeks before we even woke up the day after our wedding and then posted a selection of beautiful shots a couple days later. We could not have been happier with the gallery of photos that we received while we were on our honeymoon and we’re looking forward to getting the album that we worked with her to design!

me for getting us all of our wedding photos was also amazing! She even was able to incorporate our very high energy dog into our photos. Brett is great with capturing authentic and genuine photos without making pictures look posey. The day went perfect and Brett did amazing capturing all of our most important moments and all of our guests in attendance.

uick to respond and answer any questions we had along the way. On the day of our wedding, she ensured that we got all the formals we wanted in addition to so many beautiful candids! Her style is very unobtrusive, yet she captured so many amazing photos. We are absolutely in love with our photos, and the turnaround time was so much quicker than I would’ve imagined. One we got our photos in, she continued to support us with selecting photos and creating our album. She was seriously the best to work with and we would highly recommend her to anyone!

nication. We would highly recommend her to couples looking for beautiful, candid, wedding photos

hrough the process. Day of she was like a fly on the wall and at the same time gave me and my husband all the right poses that fit our personalities. The photos are super beautiful, and she has been so helpful to me and my family in ordering pictures and albums. She sent us a USB with the photos on them and reminded me and my husband multiple times to download the photos anywhere and everywhere we can. I think she was the best of all our vendors (not that the others weren't great).

tos.

photos were beautiful, and there were so many great candids! Turn around time and pricing were also great.

would give ten stars if I could.

ight away — are so grateful to have found her. Brett did our wedding photos for both our small ceremony in 2020 and then again at our reception in 2021. The photos from both events were absolutely stunning — she took many candid shots that truly captured our emotions and were positioned in front of creative and beautiful backdrops. Although we took thousands of photos, the experience was quite organic / natural and fun — Brett has a relaxed personality and goes with the flow of the day. In addition to the photography itself, we were very impressed by Brett’s professionalism, responsiveness, and flexibility as we planned our event; we had to move our wedding by 13 months due to the pandemic, and Brett was completely understanding and flexible. She also sent us the photos afterwards in a very timely manner both through a portal and on a USB. Thanks Brett for helping to capture our special day!

tural. And the fact that she is such a friendly, calming person to be around was an added bonus! She made both the engagement shoot and the wedding day a fun experience, and I have no regrets with hiring her. I've already recommended her to a friend and will continue to do so with others in the future. Thank you, Brett! (and Alison)

s get through our wedding day with wonderful pictures that came shortly after the big day. Cannot recommend Brett enough!

y comfortable working with her despite being a bit camera-shy. We were completely blown away when we saw the photos- absolutely stunning shots, vivid colors, and most importantly, they really evoke the atmosphere and joy of the event. Brett somehow managed to be everywhere at once and capture some really unique angles. We couldn't have been happier working with Brett. She is lovely, responsive, and very professional, not to mention extremely talented! We cannot recommend her enough!

ate in 2020, and ended up pushing back to 2021, so we ended up working together for almost 2 years. Brett was thoughtful, competent, and made the whole process smooth and simple. She provided more than I expected, including very helpful guidance on the wedding day timeline. She wasn't pushy, but quietly made sure we got the photos we wanted, reminding us to take a moment for posed photos at our rehearsal dinner, golden hour at our wedding, and even getting a series of couple photos that we love and don't remember taking. Most importantly, we are very happy with the photos - but we really appreciated the ease of working with Brett too.

pleasure to work with her, and I would highly recommend considering her for your event!

pportive and excels at her job. She captures small moments and candids which remind you of how special and enjoyable the day was. I highly recommend her as a photographer regardless of the occasion.

got loads of candid shots which I personally LOVE because the photos come across as so genuine. I would absolutely recommend hiring Brett for your event!

there that day, but obviously she was everywhere because we had so many amazing photos! Definitely would recommend her!

that we got a super sneak preview just a day after the wedding. The final result was so many beautiful photos that we will treasure forever! We would definitely recommend Brett for your wedding photographs.

us with a special panorama style photo that is one of our most commented on (and treasured) photos hanging in our house. We loved worked with her and would hire her again in a heart beat.

cently went to a wedding where the photographer was all flustered. Trust me! You don't want that on your wedding day. You want Brett!

at else she has in store for us! I would definitely recommend Brett to anyone looking for a great photographer!

at candid photos. She did an amazing job of capturing our emotions and the emotional moments of our guests. She had a quick turnaround on our pictures. We would highly recommend Brett!

9 months prior to our wedding to talk about our vision, and about a month before the wedding she even sent us a care package. HIGHLY recommend her if you like candid, natural wedding photos that do not look 'staged'.

e surrounded by paparazzi, Brett filled that position perfectly! She made us feel special prior to our wedding by sending us helpful tips and even chocolate chip cookies! The day of the wedding I barely saw her as she moved around taking pictures but she was able to capture our wedding from every angle. I chose Brett because I loved her editing style of focusing on the natural beauty of a picture without too much touch up. Overall, Brett was calm, professional, prompt, and go with the flow, so happy we chose her!

help! She was very flexible and easy going. She blended right into our wedding and we barely noticed her because we were so busy celebrating! Come to find out she was there at every special moment and captured so many emotions from so many of our guests! We did a few posed pictures that came out very nice but it was the candid, natural pictures we love the most! This is why we chose her originally and she did not disappoint! Our pictures are stunning and so real! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

ate and natural reflection of the evening.

tely ourselves while she was taking pictures, and she got so many amazing shots while completely blending into the background of the festivities. Brett is extremely professional and puts a personal touch on everything she does, from the photos themselves to our interactions with her. She's a lovely person and we felt she truly cared and valued us as clients throughout the process.

ly. If the rest of your wedding planning is stressful, working with Brett is a no-stress situation. :-)

make a Pinterest of my ideas I was wanting and sent me really cute gifts! It didn’t just feel like a vendor and her bride, it felt like she really did care and understood the ups and downs of all the wedding planning! On my wedding day she was on top of everything and my photos came out beautiful. Fast, friendly and sweet I am so happy with the results and the experience of Brett Alison Photography! P.s the cookies were so yummy- thank you - Briana

ns of being photographed (unless it’s a planned selfie, of course) and the way Brett captured our day was perfect. We didn’t feel forced at all and a lot of our shots are just us being ourselves. She calls herself a photo ninja extraordinaire and we can attest to that! A few of our guests commented how they didn’t even see her taking pictures during our ceremony. Brett was great to work with and the added touches that she did along the wedding timeline were really nice. Not to mention she was quick to give us a preview of our day, which was fantastic!

t idea. We did a first look, and receiving line. This time saver also gave us time to enjoy our guests, and for her to take great photos of behind the scenes of us with them. She is extemely skilled at being at the right place, at the right time to capture those truly great moments! Brett is a pleasure to work with, she is prompt, calm cool and collected ( where as I was a very overwhelmed bride) and she truly made this experience easy for us! Thank you Brett for your kindness, your patience, your talent, and for helping us remember these memories that we will have for a lifetime!! Love, The Kellys

to find a photographer that fit all our criteria. Brett Alison was initially our favorite – she had the best editing & the best photos and her work includes great candids, which is something we wanted. From a quick look, we sadly thought she was out of our price range; however, I reached out to her via email and Brett was flexible with mixing and matching her photography packages to fit our budget. Once we signed a contract with her, we quickly received a package in the mail with homemade cookies and a nice book of quotes. The personal touch of that gift assured us that we made the right choice. We planned our wedding from out-of-town, so communication with Brett took place primarily via email or telephone. Brett was extremely responsive to emails and phone calls, and as wedding service professionals go, she is very organized. If ever we were late getting her paperwork, she sent a friendly email reminder after we had incurred a respectful amount of delay :) Also, when my husband and I were in town briefly to meet with our vendors, Brett drove ~1 hour to meet us. At the reception, Brett was perfect. Whenever we got off our schedule, Brett got us back on track in an extremely calm way, just as we had asked her to do. Whenever we needed family members present for a photo, Brett called them over, just as we had asked her to do. She captured all of the details we said we wanted and didn’t waste time photographing things we told her we didn’t care about. When we told her we wanted some posed photos--but not too many--she found the perfect balance. When we told her we had twice as many bridesmaids as groomsmen, she found great ways to arrange the formal photos. Otherwise, she faded to the background & captured all of the moments that we wanted without us noticing that she was there. She asked for our input and preferences during the planning process & then used that information to be the perfect photographer for us, meeting every single need and request that we had. After the ceremony & before the reception, my husband & I decided to make a stop at a local park to take more photos. Brett was flexible & took great photos on the spot without ever having been there. At the end of the reception, Brett even offered to stay a little longer to photograph our exit. After the wedding, Brett posted a Facebook album of some of the photos within 4 days of the wedding. She posted our full gallery less than 30 days after the wedding and sent a package with a USB of digital prints just a few weeks after the wedding. We can't make a stronger recommendation for a photographer. Brett’s professionalism and level of service is the best you can find--at every step, she helped lower our stress levels. Wedding planning is tough because of all the things a bride and groom DON'T realize can happen. Having a photographer who knows how to prepare for and handle the unexpected goes a really long way. Finding someone like Brett, who does all of that at an incredibly affordable price, helped make it a perfect night for us. NOTE: We came across some photography companies with long contracts that included absurd stipulations. Be wary! Brett’s contract was straightforward and succinct, another nod to her personal and inviting style.

have family and friends who have shown me their wedding photos and I knew what I was looking for... photo-journalistic but still capturing the emotion of the moment without being forced cold or corny. I have to agree with the others that the engagement session was key and she includes it in her package because it does help establish the tone for what to expect on your wedding day and also for her to see what your chemistry is with your partner since every couple is different. We were impressed by her professionalism from the get-go during our first meeting with Brett in Newport, Ri. Since she was fortunately still available on our date, we asked her to capture our day right away. I actually was referred to her from one of her former clients whose photos I already knew I loved. She was very flexible on where she would travel, from Newport for engagement photos to Buzzards Bay, Ma for the wedding. She may not be at the lowest end of the price point but think about what you are trying to do - capture images that you will look at over and over for the REST of your life! Plus she gives you an amazing deal on purchasing with her after. The actual wedding day was fantastic - she has a calming presence and already had established a rapport with my husband so he knew how to put him at ease as well. I valued her for her ability to be frank with her advice so she can get you to look your best. She was able to direct my very large family and she also makes sure she is well staffed. Just look at his website's photo gallery and you'll see endless examples of her talents and skills! This is what I mean by memorable photography! We will no doubt join her following of other couples who come back for anniversary photos or photos with our future kids!

ty photos of "moments" in addition to the posed, arranged photos (although we had all the standard wedding photos like all the bridesmaids, groomsman, wedding party, dress, etc.) Brett solicited our input about what "set up" photos we wanted, and then captured moments that made the day come alive whenever we look at the photos. The best part, though, is that I found an amazing photo on Pinterest and asked her if she could possibly capture a photo like it. (It was a night time photo, with a backlight of us kissing in the snow.) Thankfully, Mother Nature provided the snow fall, and Brett captured the moment perfectly. I tear up just thinking about how she made my photo dream come true. Brett also got great shots of all of us, the decor and many moments that passed us by as we were flitting from person to person. We lived our special day all over again looking at her proofs. And we got a sneak peak just days after our wedding, and the proofs came in a timely fashion. Every step of the way she worked with us to understand the process, and now we have ordered the photos and she is still there to answer our questions. Brett is amicable, easy going, calm (even though we were crazy that day, in the freezing cold and snow, and she was very pregnant!) You will get exactly what you ask for, and then some. Highly recommended!

ce without being intrusive. Many wonderful shots and the price was right!
