I wouldn't use them, not impressed at all.

Their photos are impressive, but their company rhetoric is appalling. The owner is extremely condescending. The more money you spend is the only way she'll treat you decently. After hearing about how the owner Shari treated a client who happens to be a good friend of mine, I will NEVER in a million years consider BM for my wedding day. Being a bride under normal circumstances is hard enough, during a global pandemic its even harder. For the owner to bully a client, and keep/take money for services that were not performed is nothing short of disgusting and bad business practices.

Sheri and the entire Brett Matthews team are beyond incredible!!!! Hiring them for my wedding day was the BEST decision I ever made. Sheri is a true master of her craft. She makes you feel comfortable, beautiful, and happy, which is certainly reflected in all of her photos, and manages to capture every second of your wedding without you even realizing it. She did our engagement photos which were also flawless. The videographers were also wonderful and a pleasure to work with; I can't wait to see the footage when it comes in. I only wish I had another event coming up that I could hire them for again. Thank you to Sheri, Chris, and the entire Brett Matthews team!!!!!!!!

We hired Sheri and she was great! We absolutely love the photos. She did an incredible job with all of the photos - capturing great posted and candid pictures. Our wedding was at The Pierre and she knew the space so well -- she guided us to the best places in the hotel and in Central Park so we didn't lose time in our jammed pack day looking for good backgrounds. Her staff was so nice and easy to work with. Highly recommend!

Brett Matthews is the best! Every member of Brett Matthews is very talented and their photography is perfection. They are very organized and communicate regularly prior to your event. Chris was our photographer for our engagement photos in Central Park and our wedding on 9/5/15 at Coindre Hall. He is very professional and efficient. He captures every moment and his work is fantastic. He is also a lot of fun to work with! Our wedding photos are so beautiful and our guests were very impressed with their work.

Brett Matthews Photography is an excellent choice!!! Bride to bride Chris is just such a professional and will get the job done and you will be pleased with the results!!!!! I am extremely critical when it came down to choosing our wedding photographer, when I met Chris I knew we found THE BEST!!!! We got married in August 2015, we also took our engagement pictures in August at the Garden City Hotel and received them super quick!!!!!! They are now located on fifth avenue which shows that they're the photographers to choose!!!!!

I cannot wait to see our wedding pictures! Our photographer called me a week or so in advance to go over the schedule for the day of our wedding & to discuss which pictures I'd definitely like them to get. The team of photographers knew how to divide their efforts to ensure that we got all of our pictures. They were patient, flexible, friendly and I don't remember seeing them at the reception (but they were definitely there!). Their organization and expertise put me at ease and helped our day go so smoothly. They even arranged everything so my new husband and I could attend our cocktail hour. They grabbed us & got the standards pictures out of the way so we could enjoy the party with our friends & family. While I haven't seen my wedding pics yet, we are obsessed with our engagement pics. Their work is amazing!

We used Brett Matthews as our wedding photographer. An engagement shoot was also included. They were timely at each event and were incredibly professional. The team was very knowledgeable about our venue and knew exactly where to go for the best pictures. Our photographer was wonderfully sarcastic and funny making sitting in front of the lens for hours much easier (we did pictures before the ceremony). We can't say enough about their staff or their pictures. We received our engagement session photos which were all in a great photo journalistic style. We can't wait to get our wedding pictures back.

In Long Island, everything is expensive. This was a very fair price for QUALITY photography. Yes, we could have found someone cheaper but I truly believe that quality pictures of your wedding day is worth spending a little more money. After all, the pictures are all we will have after the day is over! Chris was amazing, funny, and very very talented. The team that helped us put together our album was also fantastic. Unfortunately, they do not give you a CD of the images... they want you to purchase everything through them. We get our album and some enlargements included with our package, and we will wait 3 years to be given the rights to the images to make any other copies that we want. I know that some less expensive photographers will give you all the images right off the bat, but not Brett Matthews. For the album, anything extra you want will cost extra money, and the album takes 6-8 months to make because they have so many clients, so do this right away! Did not use them for videography.

My husband and I chose to use the videographers that Brett Matthews has because we used them for our wedding photography. We loved the convenience of having one point of contact. Their videos were great and the videographers were so nice.

Sheri LaMagna from Brett Matthews photographed our wedding on July 26, 2014 at Gotham Hall. We wanted a photographer and videographer who not only had a beautiful and creative finish to their work, but also who we "clicked" with on a personality level and would have fun with on our wedding day. From the moment we had our first meeting with Sheri, we immediately knew that she was the right fit for us. Sheri was fun, easy going, energetic and had a truly kind and compassionate personality. Her portfolio really speaks for itself and blew us away as her work is truly exquisite. We immediately felt confident that she would capture our wedding day exactly how we wanted it. Throughout our entire wedding process, Sheri was always easily reachable and prompt in answering our questions. One of the most impressive things about Sheri, aside from taking incredible photographs and video, is how service-oriented she is. She promptly delivered our raw footage or our video and proofs and answered all of our questions. For our wedding photos, our proofs were ready for us to view in less than 3 weeks from the wedding (and she took over 2000 photos)! Every photo captured something special and unique and it will be extremely difficult to choose a select number of photos for our album because they are all truly artistic! Sheri has an eye for lighting and angles, and her photographs have a finish that clearly sets her apart from others. Throughout our entire wedding day Sheri and her team did a wonderful job at taking photos in all settings (from the Walforf Astoria, to the streets of New York, to Gotham Hall, both in the day and night and through two dress changes). They made us feel comfortable, at ease, and were just simply fun to be around! They not only captured all the important moments, but added to our wedding day in their own right with their kindness. Sheri, we can't thank you enough for capturing every moment of our wedding day perfectly, and for being such a thoughtful and wonderful person to spend our special day with! We had Chris as our main photographer and we loved him! He made the day so fun, and he made us very comfortable. He took all the pictures I asked and way more. We got lots of compliments because Chris and his team were so nice and weren't in anybody's face and didn't really pull us away from anything. He fixed my hair when it was out of place and even helped me get my dress unpacked with paper and ready to put on! He made us a great schedule so everyone knew what was going to happen that day and we ran exactly on schedule! They were a little more pricey than other photographers, but well worth it! Loved Chris and wouldn't have used anyone else! We can't wait to see our pictures, we know they are going to come out great!!

Amazing photography and videography crew! They were very respectful and didn't pull me away at any point- I haven't seen our pictures yet but from the poses and groups of people that they grouped together I have no doubt they will be amazing!!!

Sheri and Toni are both amazing! Toni took my engagement photos and I liked almost every single one. Sheri was the photographer for my wedding and although I haven't seen the photos yet I'm 100% confident I'm going to love them as well. They do wonderful work and make you feel extremely comfortable.

They shot my wedding a few weeks ago and our engagement shoot a few months ago. They have been very accommodating, making sure that we are very happy and taken care of. We needed an engagement shoot early enough to make a guest book out of the photos and they sped up the process so we could do so. When we asked for a rush on a few of the photos so we could start sending thank you notes, they agreed to our request just to make our lives easier. It's been great!

It was so great working with Chris from Brett Matthews. From start to finish he knew exactly what we wanted and we had such a great time both the day of the wedding and during our engagement shoot. They are always available for questions, etc... I can't wait to get my proofs back.

From start to finish Brett Matthews photography did a stupendous job on our wedding. We love our engagement photos, the video came out beautifully and we cannot wait to see our wedding photo proofs!! All the photographers, lighting assistants and videographers were wonderfully professional, nice and detail oriented. Highly creative photos and great at giving direction :) I highly recommend them for any wedding!!

I LOVED my photographer Joe! My wedding fell in the middle of a heat wave and we were all dying of heat, but he toughed it out and took awesome pictures! He was fun to work with and made it easy for us to pose to pictures. We can not wait to see all the proofs!

The photographers at Brett Matthews are very talented. However, a week before my wedding, I received a phone call letting me know that the photographer (Chris) who I was told would be shooting our wedding would in fact not be the photographer. He made up an excuse saying he thought he had made it clear to us during our engagement photo shoot but that wasn't true. During the engagement photo shoot he referred to himself as the photographer at the wedding. After I asked Chris to have our new photographer (Toni) reach out to me before the wedding, she never did and I had to hunt her down. While I'm sure the pictures will come out fine, I'm not confident they will be great.

I have always been a big fan of the work that Brett Matthews does - so it was a no brainer that we chose them for our wedding. We had a little trouble right from the start since we wanted to to our engagement photos sooner, rather than later and our photographer was on maternity leave. The person we were working with was telling US that we were doing our photos so early and why didn't we wait until July? We wanted to send out save-the-date cards so it was not an option to wait until she was back. Moving forward - the first time my husband and I had ever got to meet our photographer was on our actual wedding day. She came into the room where my bridal party and I were getting ready, and I am not even sure she introduced herself, just went right to my dress, shoes and jewelry and got started - at least her assistants introduced themselves. I know that she is a professional who has been taking photos for a long time and she knows what she is doing - but our photographer was VERY pushy and kind of rude. My mom had made a suggestion to her to take pictures with my husband, my nephews and myself first so we could get them to cocktail hour and keep them happy. My mom had felt as though her suggestion was ignored and when the photographer overheard us discussing the situation she said she heard what my mom said (but never took action). And after that, the photographer almost seemed to be mocking my mom - asking her what she wanted to do next, and was it ok with her if we did certain things before we moved onto the next. I hope the pictures come out beautifully - because it was a very tense situation.

Chris and his team did an AMAZING job at our wedding!! They were fun, patient, and professional. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants an amazing experience on their wedding day. We can't wait to see the final product!!

Chris, our photographer, was amazing and soo funny. He was such a trooper too in the cold when I wanted to take photos all over the place. The photos were incredible. One of our photos was the homepage for nearly a year afterward. Can't recommend them enough- well worth the price!

I looked at many photographers in New York, but I didn't see anything special in them and they all seemed to charge so much more than Brett Matthews. Noah shot my engagement shoot and wedding photos. Both were absolutely AMAZING! He is so laid back and made me and my husband feel so comfortable. We loved that he and his team blended in during the ceremony and reception, and took candid shots that truly captured the essence of our wedding. He shot my sister's wedding too and I recommend him to all my friends. He is simply the best.

Although my wedding was in NYC - I decided to hire Brett Matthews who is located on Long Island. Some friends questioned my decision since they were not a Manhattan based company. Truth is, it was the best decision ever. Brett Matthews has some of the best talent I've ever seen. Being an amateur photographer myself, I believe I have a keen eye for photojournalistic style. After having met with Seth, he assigned Michael and Jimmy to our wedding last month in April 2012. What a fantastic mix and match. Jimmy handled all of the family portraits. He ensure each shot was captured and everyone was posed and primped. Michael was amazing at capturing the candid shots throughout the event. Brett Matthews even includes engagement photos as part of the package so you meet your team beforehand and they get to know you and put you at ease. They have a wonderful team of graphic designers and editors working hard to clean up and perfect each picture. The engagement photos were amazing and we cannot wait to see the proofs! I think they took more than 1,000 pictures. I know it will be really hard to narrow them down to 50. But that's ok because we can always buy individual enlargements. Shari, the owner, is a class act and she surrounds herself with top notch talent. Splurge for the extra cost to hire them if they are more than some other companies. They are worth every penny. We used Brett Matthews as our photographers and although I haven't seen my pictures yet, I am very pleased with how our photographers and videographers moved around all night and took pictures of everyone! Our engagement pictures came out beautifully and I can't wait to see my wedding pictures. Their service is wonderful, they're always around when I need a question answered and I'm happy I went with them to document the most important day of my life.

Brett Matthews are fantastic and they have earned their reputation. We were lucky enough to work with Chris and he was fantastic. We can't wait to see the final product!

So, leading up to the wedding, I felt that the staff at Brett Matthews was not very organized or attentive. I typically had to chase them down to ask questions and schedule things. On the actual day, I had to be very directive and say exactly what I wanted. I felt my main photographer (who has since moved and is no longer there) was not very creative in setting up innovative and unique shots, but he was great at doing anything and everything I asked for. The photojournalist I had (Jeff) was AMAZING. However, my pictures came out absolutely gorgeous - so it was worth it! I have no idea how on earth I'm going to choose between the pictures to create an album, as I'm in love with every single one of them. They tell the story of our day in such an incredibly beautiful way, and the pictures truly reflect that a good time was had by all. They didn't miss a thing, whether it be pictures of the favors or something fabulous that happened for even just a second on the dance floor. I haven't yet made my album (which is included in the package price), but I'm assuming it'll be similar in that I'll have to chase them down and be very directive with what I want - but I am also confident that it will come out great. I will update the review if necessary!

They shot our e-pics and i also did my b-pics with this company. Quick turnaround for the proofs and they put together my e-pic photo album and my b-pic photo albums. they were truly professional and so friendly. the staff there is just amazing. I can't wait to see my photos from my wedding. I'll update my review at that time. the package that they offered us was great and reasonable. it was truly a pleasure to work with them. not to mention every time you go in the office they have CANDY everywhere. so if any of you have a sweet tooth, definitely stop by there.

Our pictures are stunning! From the moment we walked in and worked with Seth, up to saying goodbye to Chris at the end of our wedding night, every interaction was professional yes relaxed, fun, and enjoyable. our engagement pictures are stunning and i saw a few pictures that chris took the day of the wedding and they were stunning. couldn't have picked a better photographer!

They are a little pricy, but well worth the money. My husband and I hate taking pictures, but they made us feel comfortable. It was surprisingly a lot of fun and Noah, our photographer, was great to work with. They take soooo many pictures and seem to capture the moment every time. Our engagement photos were beautiful and the wedding photos were spectacular. I didn't even know they were there half the time, but you can tell they were definitely all over the place helping to make my wedding memorable. I plan on using them for our children's events because they are so great. Our package included a web ready cd, album, prints and proofs all to keep. We had a photographer, photo journalist and lighting specialist who were all phenomenal.

Sherri and her team were the absolute best--innovative, talented and energetic from before I got my dress on until our last dance of the evening. I am so happy we used them.

When looking for a photographer, I didn't meet with anyone else because many of my friends, and parents friend's children used Chris from Brett Matthews. Because Chris was so highly recommended, we booked him immediately! Chris is not only an unbelievably talented photographer, but he was SO much fun to work with. I highly recommend using him for your wedding. You won't be disappointed!

First everyone at Brett Matthews is really nice and is always willing to help you Are they worth what you pay absolutely not Very overpriced but i didn't realize this till we made our albums apparently our package we paid for included nothing really. Our album cost another $2,000 to make and you don't get a Cd of your proofs. They make you wait 5 years after your wedding date and have to pay a $300 fee to get them rights to YOUR wedding day photos DON'T USE THEM for VIDEOGRAPHY - my video sucks!!

It didn't take much hunting to find out that I wanted Brett Matthews as my photographer. Looking through their facebook and blog pictures, it was apparent their work was a step above the rest. Yes, you'll pay for what you're getting, but you won't be disappointed. We were lucky enough to have Chris as our head photographer - funny yet professional (the way I like it). I truly enjoyed spending my wedding day with him and the crew! I truly respect his passion for the craft...he even laid in the dirt to get the shot he was looking for...dedication to say the least. He orchestrated family pictures with precision, making that part of the day short but sweet. They also gave special attention to my Grandmother who has little to no vision left which truly touched me. They had her follow their voices so she would know where to pose her head. I recently received my proofs and was more blown away than I thought I could be. Our couple shots after the church were absolutely gorgeous...very artistic but not too out of the box. After going through the thousands of pictures, I feel like they didn't leave one moment out and captured sweet moments I will cherish forever. We loved their work so much, we also used their videographer. I understand when people fear having a videographer at the wedding, thinking it may be too "in your face"...but I didn't feel that way for even one minute...it's like they were invisible. In reviewing the raw footage I was absolutely amazed at the moments captured on camera...how did they get that! Go all the way and do both photography and videographer through Brett Matthews - and you'll lose some weight for the wedding b/c you won't be able to afford dinner for a while (KIDDING) - worth every single penny!

Brett Matthews Photography is one of the best at what they do. Their photos are like art and their staff is great to work with. I'm a huge photography fan and I was so worried that a photographer wouldn't be able to capture everything that was going on at the wedding... but with 3 staff members and non-stop shooting, they were able to get everything and more! My only negative is that they don't let you get the digital proofs for a very long time and in this digital age, that can be extremely annoying! But they are great!

Brett Matthews was the best!!!! My husband and I highly recommend them for any wedding, sweet sixteen, significant birthday or any occasion you need to hire professional photographers. Chris was our main photographer, he and his team were on time, friendly and patient. You fall in love with the phenomenal work as soon as you walk into their studio. Ladies please book Brett Matthews but only if you want professional, memorable photographs to reflect on the rest of your life.

We used photographer Brian from Brett Matthews for our wedding. He was outstanding! He was full of creative ideas and made the photos fun and enjoyable to take. We have to wait another few weeks before we see the proofs but we know they will be fantastic!

This studio was an absolute pleasure to work with. Rich made the booking process very smooth and showed us everything the studio could do with photo and video. We met our head photog Noah prior to working with him, that made us very comfortable. Our engagement shoot was lots of fun, done in Central Parl. Noah made us feel like celebrities. The day of the entire crew for photo/video was professional, warm, excited for me and the family. I was so happy that they were a part of the entire process. We shared alot of laughs and memories that day. The proofs were ready in about 2 weeks (VERY FAST) and they are amazing. So many angles, color types, surprise photos, group pictures, candid, and formal. The hard part is choosing for the album. If you need photo and video service book an appointment and sit down with anyone in the office. You will be wowed by their knowledge and how far they go to make your event unforgettable.
