Brian Clemens is an international pianist, arranger, and bandleader providing live music for weddings throughout Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, Maryland, and the wider DMV area.
Originally from Los Angeles, Brian has 15+ years of experience performing weddings and private events across the US, UK, and Europe, with events ranging from the beaches of California to the hills of Tuscany. His background includes work as resident pianist at the world-famous Ritz London, along with performances throughout London’s luxury hotel circuit.
Brian holds an M.M. degree in Music Performance and studied with Grammy Award-winning pianist and arranger Bill Cunliffe, a former pianist for Frank Sinatra.
Brian provides everything from solo piano for ceremonies and cocktail hours to piano and vocals, jazz trios, quartets, and larger reception bands. His repertoire spans jazz, swing, Latin and Bossa Nova, R&B, pop, cocktail piano, Broadway, classical, and contemporary favorites. From “Fly Me to the Moon” and Billy Joel classics to Whitney Houston favorites and Broadway songs, the music can be shaped around each couple’s taste, with special requests always welcome.
His professional background also includes performances at The Savoy, The Dorchester, Harrods, and more than 100 weddings and private events. He also leads touring jazz and big band projects throughout the UK and Europe.
Every wedding is approached individually. Brian works closely with couples on repertoire, timing, special songs, and the right lineup for each part of the day, whether that means a romantic ceremony, relaxed cocktail music, or a more energetic reception performance.
