They are all wonderful people who really perform their hearts out for you on your big day. They interacted with the crowd, and from the moment they started playing we had guests who never left the floor. People were always out there. We had the six piece band which was perfect for our wedding, but I would have love to have more! There's no doubt that Brian and the live band are a better experience. Nothing wrong with a DJ, but you will not regret having the Brian Kinney Band at your wedding! I am so grateful to all of them especially Brian for always making me feel important and for giving my guests a rocking good time.

more fun. Dancing our first dance with Brian Kinney Band playing made for beautiful photos and our guests LOVED watching it. Our first dance was to, "The Way You Look Tonight" by Frank Sinatra and for the father daughter dance we did, "My Girl" by the Temptations - Brian Kinney Band absolutely NAILED both of them, and every other song they played all night - we were all so blown away by how good they were and people are still telling us "best wedding ever" because of this band! Our dance floor was packed all night, literally. Brian is incredibly kind, professional, timely and very responsive to e-mails, I was always able to get ahold of him immediately whenever I needed to ask a question. He arranged a meeting with us prior to our wedding and we went over the songs we wanted and exactly how we wanted things to go. On top of all this Brian has one of the best singing voices I have ever heard, and he is such a talented, natural performer. Brian Kinney Band was by far the best and easiest vendor to work with throughout our whole wedding process, and they absolutely made our wedding unforgettable. I can not speak highly enough of the Brian Kinney Band.

. Of course, where he shines is on the stage. He's a great performer, and his band is terrific. (We sprung for the full 10-member lineup, which included a trombonist.) They play to all ages, so we had a lot of the older guests -- folks who I never imagined I would see dancing -- getting down and having a great time. Highlights of their set included Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody," some killer classic Motown, and a two-song Prince suite that brought down the house, of course, in the Twin Cities. When we were planning our wedding, I spent a fair amount of time researching bands and found that many of the other popular wedding bands in the area seemed too slick or corporate. Brian's band is rehearsed and professional but not slick -- there's a welcome looseness and passion that come through and really make the difference. Brian also wore some amazing shoes that the guests were still talking about at brunch the next day. As a general matter, I highly recommend a band over a DJ, for that live energy that gets people dancing. And you could do no better than the Brian Kinney Band. Highly recommended!

s beforehand to go over the playlist and talk about song choices. He gave us great advice as what to choose and had ideas for order of songs. The band has pages and pages of songs to choose from, in every genre including new music. They learned one song for us for our first dance song (Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran) and it was fantastic! That's a difficult song to sing and they knocked it out of the water. Throughout the whole night, we felt like we were at a concert because their energy was so high and they had lights going along with the songs. Brian would often come off the stage and sing around the crowd--it was so cool! The dance floor was NEVER empty. All of our guests were absolutely raving about the band because they were so good!! I would highly recommend the Brian Kinney Band for any event, especially a wedding. The dance at our reception was truly one of the best parts of the whole day, thanks to Brian! I cannot say enough good things about them!!

Brian and The Brian Kinney Band are the premier event band in the area, hands down! o work with. Brian was by far the easiest vendor we had in our wedding and the band was PERFECT! I believe every person there has commented on how great they were and how much fun it was. We had a 2 year old, a 91 year old and everything in between out there dancing at the same time. If you are looking to hire a band, do yourself a favor and book them.

classic wedding songs to learning anything specific that you may want to hear, Brian and his band bring every last bit of energy that they have for your special day. They truly make it feel like they've been waiting to give it their all at your wedding for months. They feel out the crowd and pick up the pace when necessary and slow it down periodically when a slow song is needed. Not to mention, their rendition of "Shout" with the inclusion of the crowd is second to none. I would highly recommend BK and his band with ZERO hesitation. They are as good as it gets in this business!

I was debating between a DJ and a band for quite a while--I'm so glad I made the right decision. My fiance was a little hesitant, having not heard them before the wedding--he was blown away. We didn't have an unlimited budget (about 10K) and we did a lot of DIY decorating to counter the band price. Our reception was at the Withrow Ballroom and it was perfect for this band. Get them. You will not be disappointed!

live band, definitely go for a live band! The vibe is so much different and people will remember it for years to come. Brian Kinney was especially wonderful throughout the entire process. He was very easy to work with for our specific 1st dance songs. We have a relative who is a musician, and Brian Kinney was very accommodating for our relative do our first dance song for us. They will keep the party going and you will forget it's your wedding! We were having so much fun, they even got the waiters and bar tenders dancing with us! Definitely check out their web page and listen to their demo. They are worth EVERY penny. IF I could give them 10 stars, I would!

We could not have asked for a better band for our wedding and will hire them again when we need a band. We were able to meet with Brian before and give him an idea of what songs we for sure wanted to include. He started out with us and then had to leave for another gig and the band was still stellar and professional.;I suppose some people will be put off by the price, but if they can afford it get the horn section too - it really enhanced things. We were able to select how many pieces to the band we wanted included.
