Since you generally see a snapshot of a review in the beginning, let me start by saying BRIAN KIRK & THE JIRKS ARE THE ALL TIME BEST WEDDING EXPERIENCE/LIFE EXPERIENCE EVER! I would say that my husband and I are so lucky to have gotten the band to play our wedding, but in reality, I think in addition to us, all of our friends and family are lucky that they played at our wedding. To book them is a celebration in itself. If you are a Jersey Shore dweller in any capacity, you know and love them - true bliss to book them...which by the way was a pretty smooth process in itself. Their team is lovely to work with: kind, organized, responsive, flexible. The band themselves as human beings are humble, energetic, fun. The band as a whole are PURE MAGIC. They learned a few songs and even made my unique father-daughter dance song-combo dream come true. When Brian is MCing and the band is playing, people are moved to the dance floor and singing at the top of their lungs. Our wedding transformed into a live concert-party. My husband’s dad is a former musician and they even let him sing with them! While obviously I’m a bit biased in saying that our wedding was the most fun and best one ever, our guests can attest to this in large part due to Brian Kirk & the Jirks. It’s truly hard to put into words how extraordinary this band and these people are. My family and my husband’s family travel in-flock together to see them as much as possible - why not relive our wedding fun?! If you want have an amazing night and a band that will blow away your guests, then you need to book Brian Kirk and the Jirks. They are the best at what they do!! Our entire party was on the dance floor till midnight on a Sunday, wishing they could play more songs. We received soo many compliments as to how great they were. Brian is awesome as MC. He is interactive, entertaining, and the perfect balance as the head of the band and the MC for the night. The rest of the band is insanely talented. Their lead female vocalist Kristin even learned our first dance song and sang it beautifully. Their horn section cannot be compared. They interact with your guests and trust me, everyone will love it!! We wish we could get married and have them play for us all the time! They were the highlight of our night and our guests’ too. I really have no words to describe how incredible Brian Kirk and the Jirks are and how special he made our wedding. I was a fan before and then we thankfully got to sneak into their insanely packed calendar for our wedding and now we are life long fans - as is every guest who attended our wedding. Everyone came up to tell us how amazing the band was, and even ask them to play their own wedding / event. Brian, his band, and his team are true pros. With how busy Brian is he went out of his way to take multiple calls from me answering my every question and granting any special request. Nicole from his team was so responsive and a joy to work with. Brian made our wedding so special and made sure we were happy throughout the night. Besides being an amazing musician, Brian is also an amazing MC. He made our wedding the most fun party and had people of every age dancing all night. At some point I was literally hoping he'd play a song I didn't like so I could take a break lol! If you get lucky enough to have your wedding line up with one of Brian's FEW open dates, DO NOT HESITATE, book immediately. They are worth every single penny and then some.

If I could give this band 100 stars I would. Brian Kirk & The Jirks made our wedding; they had so much energy it was infectious! We had at least 50 people (not exaggerating) ask us where we found this band! They played all night, did an amazing job of getting and keeping everyone on the dance floor and were extremely talented. This band is an absolute must!

If you’re looking for the best wedding band in the NJ area, look no further! My husband and I got married on June 30, 2019 and we knew from the start that we wanted Brian Kirk & the Jirks as our wedding band. We see them all the time in the local area and they’re always a fun time. They know how to get the crowd dancing and keep them on their feet. Our guests said they had the best time at our wedding because of the awesome band. The performers are incredibly talented and Brian is an amazing emcee (he’s hilarious). Brian Kirk books up really fast so make sure you book them well in advance. We actually planned our wedding date around when they were available. We booked them 20 months in advance. If you want your guests to have you best time and dance at your wedding, you can’t go wrong with Brian Kirk & the Jirks!

The band was AWESOME at the reception we hosted for our daughter at Glen Ridge Country Club on July 6th. Compliments GALORE from our guests that LOVED the music and danced the entire night. They played every song we requested and did such a phenomenal job. All members were outstanding but the sax played especially was so much fun and such unbelievable talent. Brian and the band were absolutely amazing. A ton of bands have horns, but not all horns get as excited and into the gig as the horn section from the Jirks. You can find great singers, but you will not find the range of singers and songs that this band can hit. The entire night everyone was dancing and no one wanted to sit down. We had my sister in law and my brother in laws girlfriend write and sing a song for us. At first Brian was a bit hesitant, as I am sure terrible singers ask to sing all the time, but he let it happen. He loved every minute of it and even asked them to sing a second song. The place was rocking. At the end of the night, he looks to Don at Clarks Landing and goes “I hope you don’t hate me, but this is a Monmouth County couple, we are going over the time.” He continued to play another two or three songs and not a single person left the dance floor. I highly recommend them. They play based on the crowd and know the best songs for each wedding. My wife and I have already committed when we have a house and move from Hoboken to hire them for our five year anniversary and hopefully other BBQs after that. I’ll even go as far as saying, the best band out there. Just make sure to book early as they will book quickly.

Prior to the wedding day, their events coordinator was very timely in responses, answered all my questions and made sure we had everything we needed. Day of, Brian and the band were totally in the moment. It didn't feel like we "hired" them - it just felt like they were meant to be part of the day. They absolutely crushed it and kept the party going all night. Music was one of the most important things to me on my wedding day and the playlist couldn't have been more perfect. They were fun and energetic and I don't think anyone sat down the entire reception! Worth every penny.

We knew we loved Brian Kirk and the Jirks from seeing them play down the shore or in local bars, they were the only band that we contacted about playing at our wedding because we knew they would do a fantastic job and they did not disappoint! Once we had them on board they gave us a list of songs to browse through and highlight some of the songs that we would want to hear, so they could get a feel for the kind of music we wanted. They did a fantastic job of mixing things up, playing songs for all the generations of our guests. Everyone was able to get involved in the music, even those that weren’t able to get up to dance. The rest of the party spent the entire night on the dance floor. Weeks later and everyone who we talk to keeps telling us how awesome our band was. Brian Kirk and the Jirks made our wedding a night no one will forget!

AMAZING! BKJ were absolutely fantastic and made our wedding an unforgettable night for not only my husband and me, but for all of our guests, as well! WOW!! I think that was said from the mouths of every single wedding guest of ours. As suspected, Brian Kirk and the Jirks MADE our wedding GREAT. I've had the pleasure of seeing them at the Jersey shore and knew I wanted them as my wedding band. There were a couple of things for my wedding that I really wanted to make an impression and the entertainment was one of them. We flew them down from NJ for the occasion and they were well worth it! They were professional, coming on time and with ease. They played the best songs from our list and even songs off of our list that they knew would get us going. They had everyone out of their seats dancing from song one until the lights came on - I'm still receiving compliments from friends and family a month later on how it was the best band they've ever heard at a wedding and that they haven't danced that much at a wedding in years. They helped us to throw the party of the year with all of our favorite people - I literally cannot explain how much I love them for helping my husband and I to have the best day of our lives. We just had Brian Kirk and the Jirks at our wedding two weeks ago. They were absolutely amazing! I remember the night my now-husband and I got engaged, we joked about getting Brian Kirk and the Jirks for our wedding, never expecting to be able to afford them! When we contacted them a couple weeks later however, we realized they were much more reasonable than expected, and we booked them right away. I do have to admit that even though they're our favorite band and we see them all over down the shore, I was a bit nervous that some people wouldn't be into a band as much as a DJ. Boy was I wrong!! When I tell you everyone was up dancing, I mean all 200+ people were on their feet from the first song until they closed out the night, it was amazing!! The band was so interactive - starting conga lines, playing instruments at the tables, and just overall creating a lasting memory for everyone there! Brian Kirk even invited one of the groomsmen up to sing "Rosalita" which the crowd went wild for and ended with a stage dive (I'm not recommending lol). We are still receiving rave reviews from our friends and family about how amazing our band was..and almost all want to know who "that saxophone player" is lol!!! They even offer to learn up to 4 songs for the day of the wedding, which I thought was extremely accommodating!! The event coordinator Nicole was also a pleasure to work with!! She would answer all emails promptly with great detail, we knew we were in good hands and had nothing to worry about the day of! Hands down best wedding band ever - they MADE my wedding night, and I guarantee they will do the same for you and your party!!!

Yes. Yesyesyesyesyes. BOOK THIS BAND. You could have your reception in a cave with no food and no open bar, and your guests would still think it was the most fun they've ever had. I would have another wedding just to have Brian Kirk and The Jirks play. They made our night so memorable and exciting. My husband and I even performed with the band, which was a great personal touch! Everyone had a blast and people were dancing the entire night. Brian was the greatest Master of Ceremonies, even helping my older sister Matron of Honor, who gave birth the day before our wedding, give her speech through FaceTime. I will never forget this night, and I'm so glad that when I think back on this special day, Brian Kirk and The Jirks are a part of it.

I saw Brian Kirk and the jirks at my God-Daughters wedding on Saturday night, the 3rd of October. When I at first heard they had gotten a band, I said in my head, Ugh this will flop for sure. I was so wrong! They had everyone dancing and having a great time. They bring their energy to the event, and look to be having as great a time as you are. I highly reccomend Brian Kirk and the jirks, for any event, especially if you want dancing and overall good times!

Amazing!!!!!! Everything about our experience with Brian Kirk and the Jirks was perfect. We saw them previously at a friends wedding and out at numerous bars and knew we had to have them for our wedding. From the start, Nicole was very helpful and responsive, answering any questions or concerns we had about our big deal. When we meet with Brian, he told us not to worry, they were going to "kill it", and they did. Our friends and family are still talking about how fantastic our wedding band was. They really made the night special. We would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

My now-husband and I have been fans of Brian Kirk and the Jirks for years! In fact, well before we got engaged, my now-husband said when he gets married, they were the band he wanted. Fast forward 5 years and within 24 hours of getting engaged, Nicole had already emailed me back with their availability, and within 3 days of our engagement our wedding date was booked! Yes, we booked our venue BASED on the band's availability. Leading up to the day, Nicole was so easy and fun to work with. She had great suggestions for tunes, and all in all kept us confident in the band. At the day of the wedding - WOW!!! We had an acoustic guitar for the ceremony, who learned signed, sealed, delivered for us, and played the requested van songs to a T. During the cocktail hour, we had a jazz saxophone, who kept the atmosphere light-hearted without being too loud! In a room that carried an echo, we were impressed that he was able to gauge the crowd and make sure the vibe fit the event. Now for the reception - there are no words to tell you how amazing of a wedding we had thanks to Brian Kirk and the amazing band. before we even got the party started, brian went over the requests we made (let me tell you, as a fan, it was SO COOL TO TALK TO HIM!). Ok, hysterical fan tendencies aside, his consideration and diligence in making sure my husband and I were happy over the details was such a nice touch. Brian was a great MC - the perfect amount of talking, but all in all, playing music to get everyone dancing. Everyone was on the dance floor, be it the classic bruce songs, whitney houston, van morrison, billy joel, taylor swift. You name it, we danced! And get the horn section!! So much fun! No one could stay seated for long. Even my 85+ y.o. grandparents didnt sit down, and neither did the 8 month pregnant mom with her 4 year old. Brian Kirk and the Jirks were the ideal entertainment. Our guests have not stopped raving about it, and we know this wont be the last time we see them in action!!!!

I had heard of Brian Kirk & the Jirks growing up in NJ and seeing them perform down the shore. We wanted a band for our wedding that would get our guests up and dancing and that's exactly what we had thanks to Brian and the band. Throughout the whole process, from booking til the wedding day, Nicole was in constant contact confirming our program and songs and making sure any special requests we had were taken care of. The band learned our wedding song along with several others and they were great. They have such a wide range of music that everyone was able to enjoy the music all night long. From the beginning to the end, everyone was up on the dance floor dancing and having a good time. The band members were all professional and very energetic. Definitely the best wedding band I have ever seen and will definitely be going to see them perform any time they are in the area. At one point in the evening the three horn players moved about the hall and sat at several tables and played along with the songs. Our guests have been talking about it ever since (2 weeks now) and are raving about how great the band was in general. If you have the chance to have Brian Kirk & the Jirks at your wedding I would highly recommend them. You cannot beat the best.

I've worked for BK&J as their events coordinator for nearly 8 years. I've seen them in so many different settings- from fundraisers to corporate events, from weddings to bar gigs. I THOUGHT I knew exactly how good they were. I was wrong. Brian & every single band member were EVEN BETTER than I imagined. They completely surpassed my expectations in every way. Brian Kirk is by far the BEST MC I have ever seen- & I've been to weddings with other very popular wedding bands & I've seen some of the best DJs in action. None of them even compare to Brian's skill. Brian is warm & welcoming- from the first time he sees you & your wedding party, until the the very last note (& even after as guests come up telling him how fantastic they are). He puts you & your wedding party at ease as you are about to be introduced to the songs that you have so carefully picked. I'm not sure how else to say this but he does not overdo being an MC- he speaks the perfect amount of time & in a way that is fun & engaging to guests. He truly made our entire night about us, our love & our families! Now the band- The talent of this band speaks for itself. They are more than some of the best musicians in the area. They love what they do & you can see that throughout the entire performance. The chemistry between not only each band member but how they interact with you & your guests is out of this world. They are constantly smiling & having a great time. And the music is unbelievable. Let me also note that my husband & I are NOT Bruce Springsteen fans- not in the least bit. And the Jirks are known for their Bruce tunes. They did not play one Bruce song our entire wedding. They actually played a handful of Led Zep songs that I didn't even know they did, which meant so much to us! They put so much thought into every aspect of our wedding, This band is worth every penny. You will never forget how the music this band plays makes you feel- from the first to the last note.

These guys were EXCELLENT!! I heard more than one person say "best wedding band ever." You couldn't get much better than that, and I completely agree. We first heard BK&J's at the wedding of a friend, and I knew then that I wanted you guys for our wedding. We were not disappointed. The music was fantastic, and the pacing was on par. I'm a wedding photographer (Jonathon Peter Photography), and I've had the chance to work with many wedding bands. In all of the weddings I've worked, I had never seen guests have as much fun as the ones that Brian and The Jirks played. Having them at our wedding was pretty much the most important detail of our wedding to me. Lori and I even changed our wedding date so that we could book them. We couldn't have been happier with them and the music. We both had MANY people come up to us during the reception to tell us it was the best band they'd ever heard, and it was great seeing my non-dancing friends dance the whole night. We are still having people tell us how great they were. They even learned (and were excited to play) a song that I danced with my grandmother to; that was my grandfather's favorite song. Between the reception, and the great job David did playing our ceremony and cocktail hour, we couldn't have been happier. Brian Kirk and the Jirks is the ultimate good time. We love these guys and have been seeing them for years all around Jersey bars. We chose them without hesitation for our winter wedding. The band was out of this world and added a personal element to our celebration that could not have been beat. In addition to the quality of their craft, Brain is an amazing MC. He is funny, charming, and knows how to keep a crowd moving. The Band was fun, energetic, and faithful to the reputation we know and love them for. Nicole, the Bands event coordinator, was also a joy to work with. She was clear, and quick to respond to questions. She made the process really easy! All in all, Brian Kirk and the Jirks made our day better that we could have hoped for. Book these guys, you will not be disappointed!!!

Brian's Kirk and the Jirks are by far the best wedding band ever! All of our wedding guests couldn't stop raving about how good they were and how much fun they had at our wedding. The song list was amazing, and they really work with you before your wedding to make sure they have all of the songs you want to have played. Nicole was great with answering all of the questions I had in a professional and timely matter. Book this band if you want the most memorable and fun wedding ever!!

This band is THE BAND if you want a rockin good time. Our guests, including myself and my husband, spent the entire reception on the dance floor. It was hit after hit from them. I think my high of the night was Whitney's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" - they did an amazing renditiion and everyone loved it. We basically had to be dragged off the dance floor at the end of the night with everyone chanting "one more song!" I can't even tell you how many of our guests told us that ours was the best wedding they'd ever been to, due in large part to Brian Kirk And The Jirks. It was the best money we spent on our wedding and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Just plain awesome guys. I'd also like to mention that Nicole Tegge, their Event Coordinator was nothing but helpful and responsive. It was a pleasure working with their team. Thanks again for a spectacular night.

My wife and I heard great things about Brian Kirk & The Jirks and they lived up to all the hype, and more. They were incredibly professional and fun throughout the entire process, including any and all communication leading up to the big day. In terms of the actual wedding day, they were on top of EVERYTHING. Brian checked in with my wife and I multiple times during the wedding to make sure everything was perfect (and it was). They have tremendous range in terms of song selections and perform all different styles beautifully. We wanted to dance for the majority of the night, and the band was more than happy to provide the soundtrack. They kept everyone on the dance floor with not just the music selection, but the energy that they played each song with. The horn section is a little bit of additional money, but they are well worth it. They sound great and add to the party atmosphere. I would recommend Brian and his band to anyone who wants to have an amazingly fun and energetic atmosphere at their wedding (or any other event they play). Brian Kirk and the Jirks are AMAZING. My husband and I have been following them for over 6 years now. We have always wanted to have them play at our wedding; my husband even contacted them the day after we got engaged to start the process - before we even had a wedding date!!! Of course, we were not surprised when the band delivered an amazing performance at our wedding. The band was fantastic and they had the entire wedding up and dancing. Everyone I speak to tells me how great the band was. By the end of the night, our guests had completely taken over the area where the band was playing with our dancing. And my husband got to sing a few Bruce songs with Brian...which completely made his night! Thank you Brian Kirk & band.. you guys are great and never give anything less than an epic performance! I didn't want my wedding to ever end!

Brian Kirk and the Jirks did an absolutely amazing job at our wedding. Any time the wedding comes up in conversation, the statement "that band was fantastic" is never far behind. The flow of the reception was perfect and it was a pleasure to work with Brian, the band, and their manager. The band's performance was exactly what we envisioned; everyone out of their seats and having an awesome time. Our biggest fear (which I've seen happen at other weddings I've attended) is that people would congregate at the bar, or otherwise outside of the ballroom, but not with this band. In fact people at the bar were asking to rush their drink order so that they could get back to the dance floor. And that's not to say Brian and the band took over the party, they just made it even more amazing, reading the crowd perfectly, interacting with the guests, and making the most of their time at the reception.

Brian Kirk and the Jirks made our wedding complete! They are THE BEST and always do a fantastic job. If you want them...book them early because they get booked quick! They are classy, professional and remarkably talented. Don't miss having them at your wedding.

Brian Kirk & The Jirks were absolutely amazing! One of the first things we did after we got engaged was check the band's schedule because we had to have them. Nicole was extremely helpful and accommodating in planning and arranging for the band. The band even learned a song for our first dance, and it was amazing. Our guests actually missed parts of dinner because no one wanted to sit down. They played all of the songs we requested in addition to some crowd favorites that got everyone out of their seats--literally everyone (my Grandma never even sat down!). We are still hearing from guests about how much fun they had. I would absolutely recommend Brian to any couple that wants to have a truly unforgettable event. We cannot thank them enough for making our day so special!

Brian Kirk & the Jirks were the best decision I made in my wedding planning!!! They made our wedding reception more fun and entertaining than we could have ever hoped for! After following the band for over 10 years, it was a no brainer to have them perform at our wedding, and I am more than thrilled with our decision! They were so much fun, had our guests dancing for 5 full hours, and looked so great wearing the pink ties that I got them :) They also played during the ceremony and cocktail hour and were just perfect with their song choices for those areas as well. I would highly recommend them to anyone and wish I could relive our wedding day on the dance floor with the band because they were so great!!!

Brian Kirk & The Jirks did an amazing job at our wedding!!! Their assistant Nicole was very helpful in the weeks leading up to the wedding. We had to do minimal work with them which was a great thing considering everything that goes into planning a wedding. Absolutely no worries with them. They learned songs we wanted played with no problem. Very accomodating and such great performers. Our guests raved about them and they really took our wedding to the next step! Love love love!!!
