Brian Mullins Photography

My husband and I worked with Brian for our wedding on 3/8/2015, and we honestly couldn't be happier! When I first met with Brian, we clicked instantly and even went on a 30 minute tangent about an engineering problem (since I'm an engineer at Duke and he was an electrical engineer before he switched to photography!)! :) Brian took our engagement pictures in July of 2014, and he helped us to relax and be natural/cute/romantic without worrying about him taking pictures of us! The pictures turned out beautifully, and we had several on display at the reception! Brian made the planning process easy for us, which we definitely appreciated! On the wedding day, Brian and Jenn Aan were organized and made sure to get the pictures on our wish list! We had a lot of fun working with them! It made us feel really reassured to know that Brian and Jenn had worked at Duke Chapel before and so they could make sure to get plenty of pictures in the limited time we were allowed at the Chapel! They also were there to get pictures of the fun and dancing at the reception, and they did a great job getting pictures of everyone having a blast! I honestly cannot wait to see the pictures once they're ready! Brian posted one picture of us as a preview on FaceBook, and it was so beautiful! I don't think you can tell, but Jenn was holding my veil to get the "blowing in the wind" look! She also helped us feel less awkward since in some pictures we were kissing with her like right there haha (thanks Jenn!) I also really appreciated Jenn and Brian's attention to detail! Brian must have gotten some cool pictures of the dress in the Chapel parlor with, and Jenn helped a lot to keep the guys' jackets from rising up their arms! And both Brian and Jenn are so nice; I was not worried at all about if they would do a good job or get the pics I wanted because I knew they would if I asked! Brian's familiarity with the Chapel also helped us make sure we were in the right place at the right time! I also remember during the engagement picture session that Brian knew a lot about optics and cameras. He was explaining how the light intensity and angle etc. all worked together to affect the lighting in the picture, and he also explained how to best position the camera, us, etc. to get the best lighting! (I may have enjoyed it more because I'm an engineer and working with medical imaging and therefore optics!) Overall, I can't say enough to fully capture just how good of a photographer and person that Brian is, and I am so excited to see the wedding pictures when they're ready! :) Thanks so much Brian and Jenn!!!

Brian and his assistants were very attentive and professional. They answered all our questions and were able to get wonderful pictures from all angles without being in the way of the ceremony.

Brian and Jenn were absolutely fabulous to work with. They not only put me, the bride, at ease, but, all of my guests. They were fun, yet professional, and an absolute joy to work with! I will miss the friendship that we have formed, while working together!

After a horrible experience with another photographer pulling out of our arrangement mere weeks before our wedding, I frantically sent out emails asking photographers if they were available and could work with the budget and custom package I had set up previously. Brian came to the rescue! He got in our engagement photos, despite my crazy travel schedule, and got the pictures back to us lickity split so we could print some out to display at the wedding. I was able to pickup my wedding pictures 2 weeks later! Awesome! And was able to view pictures on the online gallery before that. The downside I had was that I only have 1 picture of me with a guest, where you can actually see their face. All the other guests disappear into the dackground or it's a picture of my face and the back of their head as I'm talking/hugging them. Brian is literally an older version of my husband, so personalities meshed fabulously. We had so much fun goofing around, and were able to get a lot of unexpectedly wonderful photos. I am so proud to display these pictures in my home!

Brian and his assistance Jenn made our wedding photography experience better than we could have imagined. I knew from the beginning I could trust Brian and I was definitely right. He is always professional and willing to do everything he can to make sure you get the pictures you want. We are so happy with all of our pictures and would definitely recommend them to everyone!

Brian and Jenn were absolutely phenomenal to work with. Brian helped me and my husband plan from over 500 miles away and was always easy to get a hold of by phone or email. Brian accomodated meeting with us when we were in town briefly, and the wedding day he was fabulous. He got all the shots without being seen somehow, and Jenn went above and beyond by helping bustle my dress, hold flowers, get us drinks and anything else we needed! They are a wonderful team, easy going and fit perfectly with our ideal day!! Would recommend him to everyone!!

Brian Mullins was our wedding photographer, and we were absolutely thrilled with him. He was easy to communicate with, very professional, fun to be around, and the photos were breathtaking! The pictures were were just gorgeous, and far exceeded my expectations! Every interaction with him was wonderful!

After an extensive search and comparison of 20+ leading North Carolina wedding photographers, Brian's work kept jumping out at me. His photos had the "in the moment" artistic and photojournalistic style that I was looking for, coupled with top-quality crisp and well-framed shots. After our initial phone call, it was clear to me this guy was not only a stellar photographer, but that he knew the ins-and-outs of shooting a wedding. And, his easy-going manner and sense of humor told me that he'd be great to work with during the busy time to come. Throughout the wedding planning process, the wedding day, and afterwards, Brian maintained a superior level of customer service. He accommodated all of my requests and ideas, made great suggestions, and was exceptionally responsive. Oh, and our pictures...wow! The results certainly speak for themselves.

Brian was incredible to work with! He took such amazing pictures. My husband and I loved going through our pictures, the best part is he captured so many wonderful moments, but we don't remember him in the middle of the action. He is incredibly professional. He works great with not only the bride & bridesmaids; but also the groom and groomsmen. Our guys had tons of fun working with him. We can't thank him enough!!

Brian went above and beyond what our contract called for and even stayed an extra day to shoot more photos the day after the wedding. he had all 600 proofs up on his website in less than a week!
