memories she wanted, after all the work we put into having a perfect day. The event photographer was Brian Pepper, supposedly he was one of the best photographers in our area. The online reviews were good and we signed a contract little less than a year in advance. The contract required payment in full before the wedding, we paid all fees as requested. The contract included engagement photos and they were scheduled and done. The engagement photos were never delivered before the wedding day. We were planning on using them, didn’t happen. A few months after the wedding we started worrying and called Brian numerous times asking for updates, he was elusive, barely responsive to calls, messages or emails. When finally contacted he claimed was having issues with his “editor” Four months after the wedding we visited his place, he basically hid and later contacted us by text message asking for time. Reluctantly we gave him a few more weeks. Now five months have passed. We went online only to find out a review from his editor explaining the “issues” Brian had not paid his bills since June 2018! Other clients were experiencing the same issues. No effective communication, no delivery of photos or contracted goods. Brian Pepper has proven to be irresponsible, elusive, he will not deliver the work he was contracted for. On a last pleading to Brian we ask him to give us the unedited images, we just wanted our pictures. He never responded. The next step will be to take legal action in small claims and try recover our memories. By all means, stay away from Brian Pepper!

He advised a 4-6 week turnaround & that I should have the photos by the end of the following week, that they were a bit behind. Ok no problem, I understand things happen. So I waited and after over two months on 9/20/18 I reached out to him again because we still hadn't received any communication from him nor received a link to our photos. In retrospect, I should have reached out sooner, but I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. He responded quickly advising me that he was out of town until Monday 9/24, however he thought we had our photos already, he would let me know when he got back and got to his computer. That we had some how slipped through the cracks. Okay, fine I can live with that, things happen. I have left 3 voicemails and texted him twice over the course of the last week all on separate days to allow what I felt was adequate time for a response considering his previous history of communication. I have heard nothing. Considering we normally would get responses within hours or at least the next day, I was honestly shocked. I would have thought that after discovering we have somehow slipped through the cracks AGAIN that he would have reached out to us unsolicited after he returned. (Our engagement photos were delayed because he forgot to add us to his spreadsheet for editing, which I was understanding of and he corrected the oversight, we had the photos that night and he even edited a few at my request because of the wind that day, my hair was doing some interesting things above my head. I really appreciated that for the record.) At least a "Hey here's the situation, xyz has gone on" would have been appreciated and I wouldn't be writing this review. Now if there is something extenuating or some sort of crisis that has arisen, I understand. I just ask for communication. We have paid in full. Brian has never once mentioned there was anything else due on our part. I'm very worried I won't get my photos or wedding album. Photography, was aside from my groom the single most important thing to me about this wedding. This entire situation is made that much worse and sad really because my husband & I LOVED working with Brian. He was great with our boys, flower girls, and all the kids at our wedding. He got rave reviews from our family for his kindness, and I was and still am cautiously excited for the photos, because of how attentive he was. I noticed him working the room, making sure he caught special moments, taking requests in stride, accommodating our parents and guests. Our engagement photos were incredible. Upon receipt of our album, I had fully intended of giving him an incredible review. Now I'm praying this review is enough to elicit a response from Brian.

We have been trying to get in touch with him by calling and leaving voicemails for months with no response. We even tried going by his office and his store front is NO LONGER THERE!!! The one time he did respond was back in July of this year when my wife finally got fed up and left a bad review on The Knot. He called us WITHIN HOURS that day, after not responding to months of phone calls, asking us to remove the bad review! ARE YOU KIDDING?!? He promised us we would have our album layouts within 2 weeks, it is now nearing the end of NOVEMBER and Brian has not answered a single phone call since July. No layouts, no albums, NO REFUNDS... Don't be fooled! When we met Brian he was adamant about being paid up front. I protested because we've all heard horror stories about photographers being paid and then people never getting their photos. He assured us that wouldn't happen, so against my better judgement he was PAID IN FULL before our wedding date. That payment included a $1,000 "credit" toward our album. Brian got his money UP FRONT and NEVER GAVE US THE ALBUMS OR THE LAYOUTS WE PAID HIM FOR! At this point I'm not sure what else to do besides warn other potential clients that this photographer scammed us and dissapeared with our money. All we want is what we paid for! How do you take payment for a job and just not do it? And then just avoid responsibility by ignoring phone calls for over two years? THIS IS AN UNACCEPTABLE WAY OF DOING BUSINESS. DO NOT HIRE THIS PHOTOGRAPHER!

got engaged, my fiancé and I quickly booked Brian. Our engagement shoot went great. We were able to get comfortable in front of the camera, and Brian knew all the best places for photos. One of the places we wanted to take photos at was super busy that day, and we weren’t able to utilize that location. Brian took it upon himself to suggest we come back there for a 2nd engagement shoot which was SO nice of him! We met back up a week or so later and took more engagement pics. It ended up being perfect and we got so many great photos. About 6 months later was our wedding month. About 2 weeks before the wedding I reached out to ask about a shot list and a timeline schedule. I didn’t get the shot list to fill out until 3 days before the wedding. And I didn’t find out what time he was arriving on my wedding day until 11pm the night before. Now I have no doubt he is in full on wedding season mode and is super busy, but I wish an assistant of his could have sent me the shot list weeks before so I wasn’t rushing to fill it out and we could have nailed down a schedule/timeline beforehand too in case we needed to adjust anything like hair/makeup/flower delivery etc. Finding out last minute brought lots of stress since I felt like things could have been adjusted to maximize the time that I had with Brian (I thought I had 10 hours with him, but he told me the night before the wedding he would only be there for 8 hours due to how other things were scheduled). As expected, the wedding day flew by and was such a whirlwind. I couldn’t wait to get my pictures back. He got them out to me fairly quickly as promised (think it was roughly 6 weeks after the wedding) and I LOVED them! So many amazing beautiful moments captured perfectly. I couldn’t have been happier. As I started going back over them again though, that’s when I realized a few things were missed; items that were specifically on my shot list (artsy ring shot, guestbook table shot, something old/new/borrowed/blue shot) as well as typical wedding photos (bridal portraits from front/back to show off gown, detail shots of church décor like programs/entrance sign, and detail shots of reception décor like bubble exit sign, seating chart, etc.) It made me so incredibly sad that these pictures were missed since you only wear a wedding gown once in your life and that I personally made all the wedding décor over the past year and these things weren’t captured. I wish I had made a shot list to give to my MOH and have her check off what we did/didn’t do so that she could keep track as the day went along and could remind Brian. I am still very happy with the pictures that I did get and would highly recommend Brian because I think he is a great photographer and his pictures are gorgeous and timeless. I would just highly recommend to future customers to reach out to him WAY EARLY ON regarding shot list/timeline details so that you don’t get stressed out the week of the wedding and make sure you have your Maid of Honor/Mom/someone make ABSOLUTELY sure you are getting all the pictures you want because the day will fly by and it’s hard to keep track yourself since you’re trying to be in the moment.

So I find it odd that I see all these poor reviews and feedback about "awful communication" and "it took months for my photos". He told me 3 months...so I waited patiently. Yes, he is a very hard man to get a hold of. But he's not in the profession to have excellent communication skills - he's in the profession to take EXCELLENT pictures. And he does!!! I got my wedding pictures back in 2 months and 5 days. They are fantastic. Everything is natural. He doesn't use filters and that's what I love about him. He used different lenses to make different pictures and I loved that too! Communication with him isn't speedy - but I always heard back eventually. I highly recommend him and his team. They showed up early, they had my list of 200 specific pictures I wanted and captured every single one. Brian and his team were very calm throughout the day and gave instruction on what position to stand in and who goes where to make sure they captured the perfect shot. I feel like the day I did on my wedding day when I looked thru my photos. Some gave me butterflies...some made me cry. It was a spectacular feeling to feel again. I will sit patiently and wait for my wedding video now - he said 6 months. So I'm not going to fuss if I don't have it in 4. To all you ladies or gents out there who are looking for someone for your wedding day...BOOK BRIAN. He's simply the best. Brian - I can't thank you enough. Your pictures made me as happy as the day my husband asked me to marry him :) -Terri

Brian and his team were able to capture the emotions of the day: the happiness, the nervousness, the excitement, the joy, and the love. He got it all. Multiple photos bring tears to my eyes because of how well they encapsulate the day. The only minor drawback is that Brian is a very busy man who is solidly booked, a testament to his skill. So, he did take a few extra weeks to get our photos back, but was very prompt in replying when I reached out to him about our timeline. ge a few things about the style of photos, Nelson was SO kind in making the small shifts so we could have the photos we wanted for our wedding. The photos honestly came out better than I could have dreamed, breathtakingly beautiful. Brian and Nicole were always (and still are) very prompt with answering questions and returning phone calls. The only thing I wasn't in love with was the 2nd photographer (Mike); he was not creative at all in the way that Nelson is and he needed an extreme amount of direction. When Nelson was taking the family portraits, Mike should have been taking the pictures with the family members that didn't have the bride and groom in them - I needed to tell him to do that. Brian was extremely receptive to my feedback when I spoke to him after the wedding. Another thing that we LOVED about the BP team is how quickly our images were available. It was about 3 weeks after the wedding when we got our "sneak peak" blog post, and then within a week after that, we had ALL of our photos. We have loved working with Brian and are looking forward to continuing our work as we create our albums. All in all, an excellent wedding photography team!!!

When it came to the style of Brian’s photo’s, that’s what really pulled me in, I wanted to look like the other brides he had photographed. There was something in the lighting, the scenery, I wanted it. We had our engagement session about a year prior to the wedding, Brian guided us on exactly what to do and although we were nervous and uncomfortable for the first couple of pictures, it was easy to warm up to him and go with the flow. The engagement pictures were beautiful and we were really excited to see how the wedding photos were going to turn out. Our wedding was no different; Brian and Tammy were calm throughout the entire day and kept us on schedule. They had posted a glimpse of the day on the blog, and WOW! It’s great that you get a taste of how they came out but then you just want more! Everything turned out great and we couldn’t be happier with Brian and his team, they were excellent! Any emails that we sent to them were answered quickly and to say we love our pictures is an understatement. HIGHLY recommend Brian Pepper.

Maybe it was nerves, but I didn't notice him at all during the ceremony (that's a good thing!), and he again patiently took family pictures and those of the wedding party and my husband and I after the ceremony. We met up again at the reception where he took more pictures. He had to tell my husband and I how to cut the cake LOL!!! We were SO grateful for his help and guidance throughout the entire day. We had a preview of our photos on his website within two weeks and our full set within three weeks. My jaw dropped when I first saw the photos. I am BEYOND THRILLED with how they turned out!!! I can't believe that's ME, and my husband is ecstatic, too!!! I truly cannot put into words how very, very, very happy I am with Brian. Do not hesitate! Book him today!!

ur special day, I mostly took to the metaphorical backseat and just nodded and agreed with most of what my wife and her mother told me would happen. They mentioned hiring a photographer and I just said "that sounds good to me" without giving it much thought. Well, let me tell you, now that the big day has come and gone and only two weeks later we have our pictures, I can say it was one of the best decisions they could have made. The photographers, Brian and Nelson, were very good at staying on schedule while also making sure to capture every moment from every angle. It seems to me that they literally thought of every possible combination of family and friends that we could have asked for and the candid shots they got truly documented all of the "little moments" and emotions as well. The wedding moved along wonderfully and we have several hundreds of amazing pictures to look at as we relive that incredible day. Then, as we moved on to the reception, Brian and Nelson kept it going as they captured the mood of the room and the wonderful decorations. The cameras kept snapping with the arrival of the wedding party and all of the speeches and dancing that soon made it the best night of my life. In my experience, Brian and Nelson were always in the right place at the right time. Something funny or awesome would happen and I would think to myself, "I really hope someone got that on camera," only to look up and see one of them right there catching it all. I was truly impressed by the skill and professionalism we got when we hired Brian Pepper Photography to capture our special day. We now have nearly a thousand pictures of joy, laughter, family, and friends from that wonderful night and I will enjoy looking at them for many years to come. We loved the fact that he made himself available the whole day to capture our wedding. He even arrived at our venue before I did! Now that the wedding is over I have realized all you have to look back on are the pictures and I just can’t thank the whole crew at Brian Pepper photography for making mine so memorable.

He was on time always, very attentive, relaxed in the midst of chaos, and delivered STUNNING photos. Any photo we asked for, we got. The best part of booking Brian Pepper Photography was that they included a free newborn session when the time came. In January of 2010 we had our son Noah and Brian and Nelson did an amazing job capturing the moment. We will definitely be recommending Brian Pepper Photography to all our friends and family. I also appreciated that he brought extra colleagues along with him the day of, which really helped since we were running a little behind. Brian and his colleagues were professional and half the time I forgot that they were even there, which I think is a great quality in a photographer since you can just be left to enjoy your day. There were a few business hiccups, but nothing major (reason for the reduction in stars).

I didn't meet him until a few days before our wedding when we did our engagement session. He was on time and very easy to work with. He told us exactly where to stand, what to do, how to pose, etc. On our wedding day he and Nelson were the 2 photographers to capture those memories for me. They were both so professional and you didn't even know they were there! They were able to photograph every moment of the day in pictures and even showed me a couple pictures on their cameras during the reception. I honestly cannot say enough good things about Brian Pepper Photography. I am so glad I chose him and his company. Our pictures were amazing and will forever be cherished.
