Brian Wolfe(y) Photographer

Brian did an absolutely incredible job!! He made everyone feel comfortable and loose. What could have felt stiff and posed felt fun and easy. He was even able to keep up with some of our more boisterous bridal party members. He felt like he was just part of the group. During the reception he was right there in the thick of it, but it was not obtrusive in the least! We felt like he was another guest having a blast! We've seen a few preview shots and they are STUNNING. We cannot wait to see the rest!! We can't thank him enough for the awesome job he did!

This review is coming FAR too late, but we figure, better late than never! Brian Wolfe. Superstar. Superhero. Camera guy. Dad Joke Superhuman. Combine any of these words and what do you get? Exceptional wedding photographer. Seriously. We met Brian over skype 2 years ago when we were shopping around photographers (you were on trial, Brian. Hope you were aware of that). Within the first 10 minutes we realized how much we all get along and how easy it was to communicate. Music, nerdiness, lame jokes – you name it, we love it. We hired him on the spot! Brian drove all the way out to Chicago pre-sunrise (sorry it was so early) to take our engagement photos. [Who does that?!] It was early. We were all tired. And it was cold. You wouldn’t know it, though, because Brian is a superhuman. Running ahead to find the right spot, rolling around to find the best angle, crawling through bushes to get that perfect shot. We were so happy we booked him for both the engagement and wedding sessions because he made the process fun and relaxing. We are naturally goofy people and he was able to capture all of it on film…well…digital film but you get the picture. (HA!) On the wedding day itself, it was raining, No one knew if the outdoor wedding we had been planning for over a year would happen the way he had hoped (don’t worry, it stopped raining just in time) and the table linens were trapped in the cargo container (did you know those are super hard to break into?). Who turned up for the whole day? Superstar Brian. He was with us from the early morning of getting ready to the late night of walking out, sweating from all the dancing. He was absolutely incredible. He helped everyone stay positive, was instrumental in organizing the group photos, and the photos he took were even more beautiful than we could have hoped. Brian was SO easy to work with. We contemplated spending a little more time with just him rather than returning to our own wedding. He made us feel comfortable, let us be our lame (read: awesome) selves and just documented the day perfectly. After the wedding, he drove out AGAIN to take more photos. This time, though, it was just the three of us. We missed a few shots due to the early morning rain and ended up getting even cooler shots than anticipated. The barn we got married in was completely empty – allowing us to take some pretty beautiful photos. We had such a fun time running around, chatting about everything, being silly, and making lame (again, read: awesome) jokes. We have said over and over that he will be coming out to document all of our children’s first days at home (by the way, we’re hiring you for that) and my mother has stated that all of the siblings must use him to photograph their weddings as well (heads up, that’s coming too). We started this journey anticipating amazing wedding photos (because look at his site) and ended up with an awesome new superhero friend (we’re coming out to visit at some point. We swear). Hire this guy. Lame jokes guaranteed.

Brian was AMAZING!!! It has been such a pleasure to get to know Brian over the last year. Brian offered his help with engagement pictures, save the dates, and other random things that I was stressing out about! The day of the wedding, Brian came to my house to photograph me and my 8 crazy girlfriends, went to the hotel to put up with my husband's unruly groomsmen, and stuck around all day and night to document the ceremony, party bus, pictures at the Henry Ford, and our entire reception! Not only was he extremely professional, he was a blast to have around! Our wedding party and guests had so much fun working with him, everyone has been talking about it! He gave us a sneak peak to some of our photos and my jaw hit the floor. He made us look like something out of a fairy tale!! I am absolutely ecstatic to see the rest! 100% recommend him to everyone!

Brian and his wife, Heidi, did an amazing job photographing our wedding. They came out early so that we could do all the shots, were extremely professional and unobtrusive (they got great shots during the ceremony and I had no idea how), and we had all our pictures within a couple of weeks. The shots are artistically done and Brian's editing makes them shine. Brian does not develop photos, but that's fine - we have the digital copies and rights immediately and can do what we want with them. Even more, we were able to add an engagement shoot for $150 when we booked our wedding - completely worth it. I would wholeheartedly recommend Brian to anyone having a wedding - or other event needing photography!
