Quite honestly, hiring Briana Morrison was the absolute best decision my husband and I made for our wedding. I truly mean that, because looking back on that day almost a year later, we remember Briana and Andrew as positive forces that helped us create beauty in the middle of a pandemic. Not only did they share their photography with us, they shared their kindness and compassion. So much so that our guests were shocked to find out that we hadn’t known them as friends for years. If you are looking for a professional photographer for your wedding, event, photoshoot, anything, she is your girl. Briana photographed our wedding in Seattle, and we're so happy with how our photos turned out! While planning our wedding, we were looking for an observant photographer that captured genuine moments with a tasteful sensibility — Briana was a perfect fit! Briana was a pleasure to work with, and she made a point to get to know us. Generously, Briana included an engagement shoot with the package as well as complimentary gifts and prints before and even after the wedding. And despite being based in Portland, she made the roughly 3 hour trip up to Seattle for our engagement shoot and wedding. Throughout the process, we were constantly impressed by her professionalism and responsiveness. At the start, Briana clearly outlined a roadmap for the months and days leading up to the wedding. And despite how hectic the day of our wedding was, Briana kindly kept us on track while photographing us and our families in various locations around Seattle. Miles beyond expectation. Briana is so professional, she inspires me to be better at MY job! Professionalism: Early on, we narrowed our choices to two photographers. One in Boston with incredible artistic talent. Briana was more professional and polished. Our meetings were promptly scheduled and efficiently conducted. This proved to be massively important. As romanticized as weddings are, they are large, expensive events more similar to the execution of a project deliverable. We wanted a professional with an artistic flair. Not an artist with some professional skills. Art: My partner wanted an artistic and unique touch. Briana introduced some film photography that was incredible. The polaroids were fun and the film photography was groovy. Yes. Groovy. Attitude: I was constantly impressed by Briana’s positive attitude, which helped us stay on course. Even through COVID, as things were becoming delayed and even cancelled, she brought a positive attitude that kept things fun and optimistic. At times, I felt like she was more excited about our wedding than us. At times, she was. I did not find the wedding planning process to be a fun experience. Working with Briana made it an efficient experience. She allowed us to focus on our priorities, including each other. I would recommend Briana in a heartbeat.

Briana and her husband were amazing to work with! So professional, knowledgeable, and fun throughout the entire experience. They were able to capture the photos we really wanted (and some we didn't even know we wanted). They made the day seem so smooth to have people photograph you during one of the most intimate situations. Highly recommend the follow up design session (even during a Pandemic online) for input and incredible digital craftsmanship where the output is beautiful. Our experience with Briana was amazing! She went above and beyond with her attention to detail and captured us at our most vulnerable and authentic states. My wife and I are so beyond happy that we chose Briana as our photographer for our wedding! We planned our Portland wedding from Germany, where we currently live, which wasn’t easy to do. Briana was very comfortable to talk to and put us at ease right away, and we never felt judged for the unconventional or non-traditional aspects of our wedding or personal story. Making one bride happy and calm is hard to do, but catering to two brides and making them both feel special, takes talent! She was experienced in shooting an LGBT+ wedding, and loved that we chose to have a pagan style handfasting ceremony. She helped us with details of our wedding timeline and gave us some suggestions to make a few things easier on us. She tailored a photography package for us that included all the important things we wanted and fit within our budget. Once we arrived in Portland, she met with us and our wedding planner in person and worked out all the details, which really made us feel like we were in good hands. The day of, with the help of her amazing husband Andrew, they got familiar with the venue and coordinated with our videographer on getting all the amazing shots we asked for. Briana was everywhere during the wedding, capturing the magical moments in our ceremony, the wonderful energy of our guests during the reception, and catching some beautiful and natural portraits of us with family and friends. Our bride/bride photoshoot overlooking the Columbia River Gorge was breathtaking and we can’t wait to have so many of these photos displayed in our home for years to come. We have recommended Briana to some of our friends, and hope to work with her again in the future when we return to Oregon.

Briana’s photos of our wedding are an absolute treasure. They are so beautiful, so “human”. They capture the spirit of the day in an incredible way! The lighting & colors are amazing - but I am most impressed with her framing & ability to find & capture special moments. Briana is the best. We hired her for our wedding photography, and it couldn't have been a better choice. She perfectly captured all the moments - both big and small - from our day and was able to do so very efficiently. You won't have to spend hours holding a smile for the same shot. Briana is able to get the photo she needs right away and then move on to capturing the next. We loved her documentary style of photography and are so pleased with how everything turned out. I can't think of enough great things to say about Briana! Her photos absolutely blew us away. We were simply floored with how she handled everything and the little things she did to celebrate with us and make us feel truly special. Briana was a joy to work with! We chose her because we loved the candid style of her photos and felt like she captured so many perfect little moments. We are so glad we did!! We did an engagement shoot with her first and she made us feel soooo comfortable. I was really nervous and feel pretty awkward in front of a camera and by the end I felt like a professional model. I was so glad we practiced because on the day of the wedding we felt like Briana was an old friend—although we probably would have felt that way anyway ;) During the ceremony we literally never noticed her or her husband (who we hired as the second photographer) but then got such incredible photos. Throughout the day they were so professional and blended into the crowd, popping up every once in awhile to gently guide us to take certain photos we wanted or make sure we were on track. They were so fun and easy to work with and made us laugh so many times. The photos are absolutely incredible. We get so many compliments on them. They captured some of the most memorable moments of the wedding but also so many unexpected moments and beautiful details of the decor and the venue. And the whole process was so professional—she included so many thoughtful touches like sending us little goodie boxes along the way. Sooo glad we hired Briana. It was a wedding decision done right!!

2022 wedding review update: 3 years have passed since our wedding day...and I still think about what an incredible job Bria did, so I thought I'd leave her a review! Of course, Bria delivered absolutely gorgeous and artistic photos, as all talented wedding photographers do. But something I appreciate more and more looking back that sets her apart is that Bria’s photos are also very honest — they really captured the “feeling” of that day for us. Through her photojournalistic lens, many intimate tears, smiles, spontaneous reactions and interactions were beautifully captured because we had a present, attentive photographer - shots that might easily have gotten missed by someone else in a rush to snap exclusively “pretty” shots. I have since attended weddings where the photographer took up a lot of space, barked at people to get the ideal shot, never stopped taking flash photos on the dance floor, or otherwise changed the dynamic of how loved ones interacted. Bria’s easeful and unobtrusive presence yet warmth and charisma meant our wedding party and guests felt at ease to engage their experience authentically. This balance showed up in the many emotional, natural, quirky, and artistic photos of our loved ones that I treasure to this day — in addition, of course, to the tons of classic, breathtaking shots she captured with sheer talent and sharp eye for great backdrops, form, and light. Throughout the nerves of the big day and inevitable small hitches, Bria’s presence was reassuring, confident and kind. I was amazed by the fullness of life her photographs captured when I think about how she never once felt obtrusive to the magical chaos of that day. I can only imagine how Bria has further honed her incredible work in the years since. I couldn't recommend a better wedding photographer! I had heard amazing things about Briana's photography, and had even looked at her website many times and thought there was no way we could afford her, but I was happily surprised when she was able to customize a package that fit our budget, and trust me when I say it was worth every penny! Briana is extremely detail oriented and she is so much fun to be around. She made us feel so comfortable and my wedding pictures really turned out better than I could have hoped for! She is extremely kind and genuinely cares about each client! She captured the true essence of our love and wedding and I am forever grateful for her dedication and hard work! Briana was so great to work with! We did a lifestyle shoot with her after we’d been married for almost five years. Briana is a true artistic photographer! She understands the elements and principles of design. She uses natural lighting to capture the perfect photo. Briana makes you feel very comfortable and at ease. She has the ability to understand her client’s needs and wants. All I asked her to do she made sure to do and pulse more. She does a great job capturing candied photos as the wedding is going on. All the photos tell a story of the wedding day. All the little details were documents. After the wedding day she was so fast in showing some of the photos. The book she put together was highest quality. Both my husband and I were amazing by her work. From the beginning Briana is so comfortable and easy to be around. Nothing ever felt 'posed' and she calms any fears and answers any questions, she keep communication up, I never had to harrass her to get back to me, she was very prompt!
