es of texts, emails, and payments). So it's obviously hilarious to me that Amber ONLY has 5 star reviews across the entire internet. Not sketchy at all... Amber was the least friendly of all my wedding vendors by far. We did have a nice intro call and great engagement session… I was so excited! But after that, something changed. It was radio silence for 8 months, and I don’t know why. She made it very clear she was very busy anytime I reached out. She was totally uninvolved and unresponsive in the months leading up to our wedding. If I didn’t have a wedding planner, I would’ve been left with coming up with the day-of timeline and coordinating timing with all my other vendors totally on my own. It got to the point that it was less than 5 days until my wedding and I was scared she was bailing/not going to show up... friends and family were telling me to find a different photographer and I wish I had. I was calling and texting Amber panicked that she hadn’t responded to my numerous emails. Felt odd to have so many wonderful conversations with every other vendor… except my photographer, which I’d argue is probably the most important vendors to have a solid relationship with. Day of the wedding she didn’t interact with us or anyone that much. Her assistant photographer smiled more than she did. A few people made comments about how she seemed like she didn’t want to be there… every wedding I’ve been in, the photographer has been smiling and overly engaging w the bride and groom. Not at all our experience. After the 65 day wait for our wedding photos (wedding contract says photos are guaranteed within 45 days…), it was worse than I ever could have imagined. At first I truly thought it was an error. The photos were so drained in color, my husband and I who are both quite tan look unusually pale, it looks nothing like us. My bridesmaids dresses were a vibrant lilac - they are gray in every photo. The bright green grass on this SUNNY June day is brown in every picture. There is no sign of natural light. No brightness. My stark white dress and our teeth had hues of yellow... Our photos are depressing and do not capture at all the happiness and love from the most important day of our lives. We’re not “glowing” to say the least. I understand everyone has different editing styles but my wedding photos were so extremely and dramatically different than the true colors from our day and nothing like the rest of her portfolio. I politely and professionally reached out as I assumed it was an easy fix to modify the editing, i just asked if the photos could be brightened. I was wrong. She was rude, kept referring to her contract and said her editing has a certain aesthetic. We even offered to pay her to get the raw photos. Nope. She ultimately offered to re-edit "within her comfort". Amber does not care if you are happy with your wedding photos. She will gladly take your money. Take your photos. And deliver gothic dark depressing photos. And leave you shocked that someone who works in the wedding industry could even be so cold. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money to hire a Chicago photographer.

nal and talented and I look forward to hopefully working with her again!

os have turned out and we have received so many complements from friends and family as well. Amber made working together so stress-free and I have to reiterate how organized she was. Our photos are so dreamy and I would absolutely recommend Brick & Pine Photography to anyone looking for a photographer for any special occasion.

n, which helped so much during the wedding planning. Plus, her photography is STUNNING and so dreamy! She captured the day exactly as we were hoping and we received so many compliments on both the photos and how great she was at making the day run smoothly. Couldn't recommend her enough!

to every vibe we threw at her - she was a joy to be around and exhibited the utmost professionalism. The photos are breathtaking, and we will cherish them for the rest of our lives. They capture our love and the love of our families and friends so perfectly; thank you, Amber!!!

ur favorite people were super important to us, she went above and beyond to make sure she was in every possible spot! She impressed us all and we cannot wait to see the rest of our wedding day through her lenses!! <3

still managing to capture every moment that mattered. She was flexible, kind, and intuitive. After the formal portraits, I genuinely don’t remember seeing her, yet when we received our sneak peeks nearly immediately after the wedding, it was clear she hadn’t missed a thing. We chose not to hire a videographer, and looking back, we have no regrets. Amber’s photos didn’t just capture what the day looked like; they captured how it felt. Some of the images left us in awe, as we had no idea she was even nearby when they were taken. Looking through our gallery transported us right back to the day. The photos allowed us to relive the big moments and experience the little ones we didn’t get to witness ourselves. It was like seeing our wedding through a wider lens, full of emotion, connection, and joy. Photography was one of the most important aspects of our planning, and our expectations were incredibly high after falling in love with Amber’s portfolio. She exceeded every hope we had. She delivered our full gallery in under a month, well ahead of the contracted timeline, and every image reflected her care and talent. Even our other vendors were excited when they heard Amber would be capturing the day. So many knew her and spoke highly of her, which gave us even more peace of mind. Everyone appreciated her professionalism and her ability to do her work without interrupting the flow of the day. We cannot thank you enough, Amber. I would not hesitate for a moment to work with you again. If her style speaks to you, lock her in—you won’t regret it.

initial phone call helping to decide on a package that would work best for our needs. She was also very helpful in recommending locations for both our engagement photos as well as on-site at our ceremony based on preferences. Additionally, she was able to offer a lot of advice regarding photography timelines and how long each set of photographs would take. Second, Amber did a very thorough job capturing our wedding day. I did not want a videographer so something very important to me was to capture each moment through photography and Amber really delivered!! We appreciated her dedication to ensuring we can re-live the day through our pictures for years to come. Amber is not only very communicative but also very fun and kind. We worked with other vendors who were not very responsive but Amber was always way ahead of us in contacting us and making sure to follow up if I forgot to respond to something she sent me. She is also very communicative regarding expectations for when to receive galleries. Finally, we had a ton of fun working with Amber she is a very kind and fun person. Finally, her work is gorgeous. I initially reached out to work with Amber because I really liked her work on both her website and Instagram. We recently got our pictures and she delivered beautiful work consistent with what had led me to want to work with her in the first place. Again, could not recommend Amber enough!!!

e to work with. My partner is someone who is not very comfortable with taking pictures, and Amber not only captured us in very flattering and candid pictures that captured our personalities, but also was incredibly diligent about making us feel comfortable and listened to throughout the entire process. At no point did it feel awkward or stinted, and it was absolutely worthwhile. The results are stunning, spending time with Amber was fun, and she absolutely made our day perfect.

s to get the photographs she knew or knows we will want. Amber is professional and kind! She really gets to know you as a couple. She reflects how much she cares in her photographs and her assistance throughout the planning process. Thank you! and can’t wait to see our photos!

ional. Amber made our engagement shoot and wedding so much fun! You can truly tell how passionate she is about her work - she even showed us sneak peeks throughout the day! She made us feel so at ease through every part of the process. She was always available to answer any questions we had and even helped us create a wedding day timeline to ensure that we had a plan to capture all of the moments and special people and pieces of our day. We couldn’t be more grateful to her. To say her work is stunning is an understatement, and we’ve only seen our sneak peeks! girl, someone to hold your veil, or even hide you away from guests while they exit the church so you can stay within your timeline, Amber is your girl! Her beautiful pictures are the cherry on top. We loved working with her and highly recommend her for your wedding/event!

ot a sneak peak so far, and we're foaming at the mouth for more. She knows where to shoot, how to shoot, and how to make a moment last. Wish we could get married again just for the photos :) Love you guys!

ited to see the rest!

e smiling and laughing. When my now wife had first shown me Amber's work I was impressed with the 'in the moment' style she captured in her photography, and hoped that she would be able to capture that for us. Our engagement session couldn't have gone better, and though I was still a little nervous and awkward, I tried to follow her directions to the best of my ability. The results speak for themselves, Amber's eye and style captured those movie like moments that we all dream about. They showed me and my then fiancé in a way that feels truly genuine but that I could never find words to describe. During our wedding, Amber was again there to grab those special moments... including our first look (I'm sure there is a teary eyed photo of me in there!) and a few stills of us. She even took a moment later in the day to show me one of the photos she took of my wife and I and IMPRESSED doesn't even do it justice. It evoked grace, power and happiness... while all she did was ask me to hold my wife and look out the window. I cannot wait to see how she captured the rest of our special day! PLEASE, do yourself this favor, work with Amber, trust in the moment... and be rewarded.

w to plan our photos & wedding, with simple templates, consistent communication, and questions that helped us clarify what we wanted. Our pictures turned out beautifully, and she made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera, which is NOT where we are most comfortable. On the day of, she got 3 kids under the age of 5 to smile at the camera over and over - no small feat! - and rolled with it when there were some last minute additions to the group photos. Amber did a phenomenal job as our photographer.

or an advertisement for the venue in a magazine! She made us look that good! She was so organized and had a very direct plan on how to do time everything out and get all the photos we wanted. She went out and reviewed the whole venue previously to pick the perfect spots for photos! We recently celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary the pictures reflect how amazing our day truly was! We have also used her for our engagement and more recently maternity! I always recommend her to friends and family! ❤️

ve throughout the planning process, caring and insightful on the day of our wedding and talented and timely in her editing process and turn around time. She was able to brighten a naturally camera shy groom while also softening a bride that can be little too much at times. Her photos complemented all guests and presented a true representation of our day and who we are as a couple. Even though the wedding was almost two years ago, family members still rave about her work and my former bridesmaids still say she was their favorite photographer to work with. Just an overall lovely experience with Amber.

here every step of the way. Helping me stay so calm and gave much needed advice. She made the vision of our photos a dream come true! Amber, is now a forever friend. Whenever I need a photographer she is my to go girl!

and reached out right away to get to know me and really understand my vision. She was in constant communication throughout the planning and so punctual and attentive the day of the wedding! The cherry on top is her amazing personality… she’s engaging, energetic and just such a joy to work with! Our wedding pictures were more amazing than I could ever even imagine! They were all so beautiful and creative. It’s been a real struggle deciding which to hang in our home. The photos look like they are out of a magazine … she is such an artist. I am so glad I came across Brick & Pine, Amber is wonderful and truly a professional in her field. She captured every moment to perfection and I will treasure our pictures forever. I simply cannot recommend her enough.
