Specializing in Day of Coordination (DOC) is SO IMPORTANT because there are so many moving parts during a wedding day. To ensure all goes as planned on your big day, we work behind the scenes directing your premier to the vendors and even the timing down the aisle. In crowd movement, photographers, caterers, and DJs are all so vital, it'll be like we're not even there. Just like Cinderella was the only one to see the mice turn into horses and a pumpkin into a carriage! ceremony was held was decorated to my expectations before my guests arrived. She coordinated with the hotel where my parents stayed to make sure the decor made its way back to me.
I had two coach buses to transport my guests from my ceremony to the reception, with a narrow window in between. Joy was highly communicative with me and with the transportation company. She sorted out logistics with them beforehand to ensure this transition went smoothly and my guests spoke about how well organized this was.
Again, I definitely felt Joy’s absence at my reception, where things did not run as smoothly. I did not have the helping hands and coordination that the reception venue led me to believe I would have. I highly recommend Joy for wedding coordination. She is thorough, focused and highly qualified to meet your needs. I hope to have the opportunity to work with her again!

in contact with every vendor leading up to the wedding day, she greeted and guided our guests, and flawlessly executed the timing and pace of the beginning of the ceremony. Through the remainder of the reception, Joy was on top of everything with the event details, ensuring we stayed hydrated, and checked in to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. We’re giving three stars as while her day-of abilities were great, we faced many frustrations working with Joy in the weeks leading up. Most were communication hurdles (on two separate occasions she ghosted us on a pre-scheduled call or would take days to respond) along with the many pushbacks we got went asking her to help with vendors. In the intro call, she made it seem like she was happy to help communicate with our vendors in the last few weeks and help sort out the last-minute details with vendors. However, when it came time to pull everything together, we got pushback from Joy (“oh that’s not my purview” or “that’s for you to handle, I just do day-of” etc).
These offers to help in the all-important lead-up set our expectations at a high level. It became incredibly frustrating to work thru Joy than with our already-difficult vendors. We would have faced less frustration had she just been straightforward from the get-go versus what we experienced—getting the run-around from Joy just to lead us back to dealing with vendor issues head-on ourselves. We understood she was “day-of”, but why did she mention she would do the additional assistance way back during the intro call? We’re all human and misunderstandings happen all the time, sure, but dealing with major logistics and communication headaches with the one vendor who is supposed to make communications and logistics easy just did not sit well with us.
Joy is a wonderfully cheerful woman and she did a great job for the 24 hours of the event we thank her dearly for her great work. If you are 100% positive that you will have every single detail with every vendor in a perfect place, then we recommend Joy. If you anticipate needing ANY help from your coordinator in the 2-3 weeks before your wedding (and trust us, you will), then we recommend you consider other options.

nt it to. Since she's been involved in so many weddings, she does have the knowledge to ask questions you might not have considered, but always did so with such tact and grace that I always felt supported.
I've learned since the wedding of a number of small, unobtrusive ways that she helped everyone at our wedding, which is exactly what I hoped for from a coordinator. Once it was my wedding day, I wanted to relax and have fun, and all the little fires she put out without me even realizing they were there absolutely contributed to my enjoyment. We were in a space that could have been very awkward (multiple rooms, like so many old New Orleans locations) and she made a point to keep tabs on anyone in a bridesmaid's dress or with flowers on to keep them appraised of what was happening. She made sure my husband and I got food and drink and stayed in touch with all our vendors throughout the week leading up to the wedding and on the day itself. Additionally, she set up decor for us (though we didn't need a lot of this, she was available to do it).
Overall, if you need a day of coordinator, it would be hard to find someone better for the job than Joy.

I secured my vendors (caterer, cake, officiate, venue, musicians, bartenders, alcohol) and hired Bridal 911 to handle the details, coordination and “day of.” While this was a huge undertaking, Joy made it work – and affordably. Her attitude was encouraging and her advice was realistic. She kept me on track and we met regularly to discuss the logistics. She provided invaluable insight and helped guide me through the steps I needed to take. As the big day neared, Joy and I met more frequently to discuss outstanding tasks and I confidently handed everything over to her. She finalized everything with the vendors and even coordinated our rehearsal (which I had forgotten to discuss with her).
When the big day came, we had a beautifully coordinated garden wedding and reception at a private residence. She made everything I dreamed of come to life! I still receive complements.

A few times close to the wedding, she saved me. I would get flustered and overwhelmed. I called her, and she immediately handled my load in just a few hours. When our getaway car canceled on us last minute ( a classic car that was a surprise for my hubby from his mom), she didn't just find us another. She found several options to choose from. She also went above and beyond what we expected at the reception. When we arrived at the reception, she had prepared us a beautiful little table with sampler plates of our food and drinks to eat before we went in. How many people actually get to eat at their own wedding?? She is amazing. She also coordinated the basics...set up, reception flow, and clean up.
Because of her, we actually got to enjoy our wedding. We didn't worry about a thing!
And just to add...she was 9 months pregnant by the time our wedding rolled around, and she didn't miss a beat. I would give 6 stars if I could!
