Absolutely recommend! My visit to Bridal Affection was my second time trying on wedding dresses. I did not think I was going to find anything and thought it would be an appointment...
to try on dresses to help narrow down the style of dress I would like.
Fast forward, I said "yes" to the dress! I highly recommend Bridal Affection! I had a wonderful experience. Clearly, they surpassed all of my expectations since I walked out with a dress.
First, the staff was incredibly kind and so patient while I tried on dresses. I probably tried on about 12 different dresses, retrying on a handful for my final decision-making. They were supportive and kindly kept me focused when my mom was being a little difficult on Facetime as we went through the final dresses. (They could tell I was getting annoyed with mom's lack of focus and helpfulness.) I went during a huge sample sale, and they had so many beautiful options. (My dress was only $500 for a designer gown!) The selection was amazing, and there are multiple dresses I would have been happy with, but, of course, I found the one I loved the most. I can only imagine what the selection would be like if I wasn't only looking at samples that day!
Mel is amazing. I caught up with her months after I purchased my dress, and she remembered me, my family, and the exact dress I purchased, which I think speaks so much to her as a store owner! I also learned that Mel and her husband own both Bridal Affection in Hamden and Bridal Trousseau in New Haven. I only got to experience Bridal Affection, but I imagine Bridal Trousseau would be a similar experience if you're looking! I cannot recommend Bridal Affection enough!

I said yes to the most elegant maggie sottero dress (my FAVORITE designer) that felt authentically me. I'm getting married at 36, and so many dresses lately feel too youthful. So happy we found this sophisticated gown. Ava and Mel were so sweet and supportive. I'm an indecisive person and I felt supported and encouraged to try different things. Mel and Samantha were able to open another appointment for me the next day so I could sleep on my options. It should be noted that prior to my visit at the boutique I was feeling stressed and defeated after trying on several other dresses at another location and not loving a single one.
After deciding I was completely obsessed with the gown they offered to customize the dress even more to make it completely the “one”. I had an impeccable experience and I could not recommend this business more.

shopping stop. We scheduled a Bride n Bubbly appointment and my guests really enjoyed themselves as well. We were greeted at the door by Mel when we got there and as we walked in there were signs everywhere saying welcome with my name on it. She really put a LOT of time and effort into making this appointment so special for me and my guests. Mel was very attentive, patient, and she really listened to what I liked and didn’t like and it was clear to me she is very experienced in what she does and also really enjoys it. She was careful not to let me try on dresses over my budget, and she knew exactly where specific dresses in her shop were that I wanted to try on. My appointment even went slightly over the booked appointment time and she still let me try on a few more dresses and we didn’t feel rushed to finish our appointment. Mel was not pushy at all like some salespeople can be and that really took so much pressure off and made the experience all around even more enjoyable. I found my dress and it was exactly what I had dreamed of. Bridal Affection should be your #1 stop when you are dress shopping. The variety, price points, service, atmosphere, etc are top tier. Bridal affection has an array of BEAUTIFUL bridal gowns both in their flagship and sample stores. I was allowed the opportunity to try on as many dresses as my heart desired - I even tried on the same dress 3 times in one appointment. In addition, walked around in the gown and even tried it on with a veil.
