Alexa did an amazing job on my hair trial!! She was so sweet and did super good with my curls (and so quick!). My makeup was also perfect! Barb paid attention to every detail & the colors were not only blended perfectly, but they really went well with my skin tone. Barb actually not only gave me the lipstick I liked (full size), but also mascara primer AND the under glow facial primer all to take home with me so I can bring them all for the big day since we moved our wedding location from Wilmington to Cancun ♥️♥️

Barb and Kerah were an amazing makeup team! Everyone felt and looked gorgeous! They captured the light and natural look while still looking glamorous! Barb and her team were absolutely amazing with all of the planning and execution of our hair and makeup plan for the wedding. I originally hired her specifically because I have a bridal party of a variety of mixed races and skin tones and I knew she had experience with a wide variety of ethnicities when it comes to makeup, as well as her hair stylist, Veronica, who has loads of experience with all different hair types and textures under the sun. The week of the wedding, Barb had an unfortunate accident and was unable to do my makeup...but she immediately called me and made sure to have another amazing artist substitute for me who did amazing. Her communication and planning was great and we had everything put together by the time the day came around. Veronica did all of our hair flawlessly and her makeup substitute artist was great and she always includes the lip color she uses on you for the wedding for you to take home! A very caring touch.

I was one of the lucky clients who was able to get a Bridal Artistry DC contract before Barbara decided to solely focus on her North Carolina location. When I came for my hair and makeup trial, there was a bit of an issue with the stylist I was initially assigned to and within ten minutes of reaching out to Barbara and telling her my concerns, she found an alternative hair and makeup team for me ! I had the pleasure of having Steph Cluff as my hair stylist and Sondra Lewis as my makeup artist and can I just say - wow. I never felt as beautiful as I did on my wedding day and that was a huge part thanks to the wonderful work these girls did! For my trial, they traveled a pretty substantial distance in the evening to make sure they could complete my trial before I had to go out of town and they had the most wonderful ideas for what I can do for my hair and make-up. Unfortunately, one of the people in my party decided to not get their hair and make-up done, but Steph and Sondra were happy to accommodate me regardless. I made some last minute changes for my wedding day hair and Steph perfectly executed my vision and Sondra’s makeup was flawless. Not to mention that these two women are also incredibly kind and were such a joy to have around on the morning of my wedding when my nerves were at an all time high. Highly recommend!

Barbara was excellent from beginning to end. Communication was top notch, she was even able to work with me in getting my trial rescheduled last minute due to illness. She went above and beyond in my makeup look and was very patient with me as I rarely wear makeup. Lauren was able to perfect my hair and I was absolutely obsessed with it. My hair stayed put the entire evening (with lots of dancing and jumping), which was a big concern of mine. Overall the team was amazing. We had 4 stylists total for myself, 6 bridesmaids, MoG, MoB and 2 flower girls. They were quick but thorough.

Barb (makeup) and Alexa (hair) were so great to work with for my wedding! We did a trial a few months before so they were aware of my style and what would work with my skin tone. I knew from then that I was in good hands. Barb was so kind and flexible with last minute additions and brought Kerah (makeup) in to ensure we would stay on time. My bridesmaids were able to select any hairstyle they liked and Alexa was willing and able to accommodate all of their wishes. Barb and Kerah provided flawless makeup and everyone looked so beautiful. I, incorrectly, assumed I needed airbrush makeup to last all day but Barb assured me that her 24-hour, hand applied makeup would work best and she was not wrong. My makeup still looked great 12 hours, and many tears and dances, later! I highly recommend Bridal Artistry for your wedding makeup and hair.

Barb and her team were amazing! Barb took her time during the trial to make sure everything was exactly how I wanted. She took detailed notes and when the big day came, it was smooth sailing. All of my girls were so happy with their hairstyles done by Alexis and makeup done by Barb. They were both so easy to talk to and pleasant to work with. Barb was absolutely amazing!! I was a destination bride, so I did a zoom consult with Barb and the hair stylist, Jenna, several weeks before the wedding. I outlined my vision and boy did they deliver! All of the wedding party looked amazing!! I cried several times that day, and my makeup (and hair!) was still near perfect by the end of the night.

I have never had my hair or makeup professionally done, and while I was hesitant to spend the money, I am so thankful that I booked with Bridal Artistry NC. The rates were by far the best I could find, and the quality of services was outstanding! I gave myself a $350 budget for my own hair and makeup and was so pleased that they were able to accommodate my budget! I did a hair trial with Alexa and she was able to trial a couple of different styles so we had a clear game plan for the day of the wedding. She also did my sister and mom's hair, and helped keep their hair full of volume despite the NC summer humidity. Barb did our makeup and walked each of us through step-by-step what she was doing so that she could create the look we envisioned. For instance, I rarely wear makeup, so she applied small amounts at a time and periodically checked my comfort level. While I wanted a more natural look, my mom wanted a full glam look and she was able to accommodate that request, showing how versatile she is! Both Alexa and Barb made us feel comfortable and confident. They also traveled to my venue without an additional travel fee-which was a game chnager! I highly recommend booking wiht them if you are getting married in Wilmington, NC.

Barb, Lauren, and their team were amazing! From my trial a few months before to the actual big day, working with Barb was so fun and very easy! I had a total of 10 women plus a flower girl getting their hair and makeup done the day of my wedding so it was a busy morning. Barbara was a joy to work with. Like most brides,at first, I thought I knew exactly what I wanted. A natural look with subtle lashes and lip color. As the wedding day approached I realized that this was the one day I could/ should be able to be total glam. Barbara was super understanding and allowed me to do another trial makeup session for a total glam look, the week before the wedding. She nailed it! Also, my advice to anyone who may fake and bake like I do be sure to ask Barbara for her advice on skin care, cleansers, toner, etc. I have dry and oily skin so going to the tanning bed usually helps my breakouts, but with all the stress of the wedding I had a bit more breakouts then usual. Barbara did a fantastic job. I personally fell in love with the Bridal Artistry line Makeup she uses. My skin can be very sensitive as well and this line of makeup has been the best by far! Her assistant also received all the praise for her ability to do a total BOMB red lip all the way down to a simple elegant eye and lip. If you take anything away from this just know that Barbara and her Team truly care about every single client they work with from the Bride herself, the mother of the bride and all the bridesmaids. These ladies really take their years of experience and focus on your skin specifically. I would love to work with Barbara in the near future:)

Barb did my bridal make up as well as my two bridesmaids and my mom's make up the day of the wedding. My appointment was made rather last minute so Barb and I met via zoom in advance and she listened and really understood all my preferences and concerns. She traveled to our location to do our makeup which really made the day less stressful. She wore a mask for the entire visit and respected everybody's space and safety concerns. She even helped me solve an expected skin problem when I woke up to a peeling back and had to be ready for my open back dress. We all loved our makeup and felt beautiful all day!

Barb and Jasmine were an absolute delight to work with! They gave good recommendations and were extremely flexible. Last minute my flower girls wanted their hair done - Barb and Jasmine were extremely accommodating. Highly recommend!

Bridal Artistry is a wonderful place for all your Bridal make up needs! Barbara, the owner, is fantastic! So nice, so professional, and so helpful. She had great ideas. I did a trial with her a few weeks before my wedding so we could work out what kind of colors I liked and see what worked well with my skin tone. When I originally did my trial I picked a more red lip color. The day of the wedding I changed the lip color I wanted. The original color I did during my trial was pretty, I just got nervous about doing something that red since I almost never wear lip color. I told Barbara what I was thinking the day of the wedding and she instantly had a great idea for a lighter lip color. It worked perfectly! All my bridesmaids looked beautiful as well. Barbara made them look fantastic from just their ideas and some pictures. The make up is so light, you barely notice you're wearing any. Everyone looked beautiful all day long. The make up lasts the entire day! You cannot get anyone better than Barbara and Bridal Artistry!

Barbara and Lauren were both so wonderful to work with from start to end result. They were both very professional, fun and accommodating - especially since my wedding was on a holiday (New Year's Day). The communication with Barbara was very easy and she was always responsive to any questions. They took my hair and makeup ideas and turned them into a beautiful reality. Even after standing out in wind and cooler weather my hair and makeup still held up beautifully. They also made my mother and mother-in-law both feel beautiful which helped make the day special for them. I was very impressed and would HIGHLY recommend.

Bridal Artistry was the perfect answer for my makeup and hair needs! I made a quick change due to Covid-19 to cancelled my destination wedding and we decided to get married locally less than two weeks out. Her response time was immediate, and she asked the appropriate questions to clearly understand my vision and really made my girls and I look our best. I could not have asked for a more accommodating and professional vendor.

She was on time, easy to work with, responsive, flexible with times (it moved a few times right before due to weather), and she did a great job!

Barbara drove to our house (over an hour away!) and did make up on 7 of us in a row. She is truly an artist! I thought everyone looked absolutely beautiful and very natural as well. We had porcelain white skin to Hispanic skin tones and her color selections were great on all of us. She knew how to get our eyes to stand out as well as hide my dark circles. I loved Barbara and her team, getting married during this strange time is difficult, so having a great team makes it all the more important. I don't wear makeup on a daily basis, and during our hair and makeup trail I got to see what I liked and didn't like. Barbara was so patient when I change lipsticks a few times to find the perfect one. I felt like a princess, and it all photographed so well! Bonus you get a full size lipstick to keep and I just love mine.

Barbara and Bridal Artistry was perfect for our wedding day! We originally planned to have a wedding in April 2020 where there would be 6 people getting their hair and makeup done; but due to COVID-19 we have to change to a super small ceremony in June. Barbara was so flexible and understanding and so kindly drove 4 hours just to do my makeup to make sure I looked beautiful for my wedding day. She also found someone last minute do my hair for the big day! The wedding plans definitely were stressful during this time and Barbara was very comforting and made me feel much better about the big day! My hair and makeup for the big day was perfect!

Barbara was amazing!! I wanted a very natural makeup look on my wedding day since I don't usually wear much makeup and wanted to feel like myself. She was extremely accommodating while also giving me enough extra coverage for the makeup to show up in pictures and emphasize my features. Barbara also did an amazing job at covering the redness I have from Rosacea, and finding the perfect color for my foundation despite me accidentally getting a tan before the wedding. Barbara was so nice and easy to work with! I was planning my NC wedding from OH, and honestly looked into hair and makeup later than I should have. Even with a short notice, Barbara and Jasmine got me in for a trial run while I was in town for the weekend. They both did such a great job! Barbara even had experience with different cultures and was able to help place my tikka and dupatta for the Hindu ceremony. Unfortunately due to the Hurricane, and mandatory evacuation, I wasn't able to have my beach wedding, so the trial is as far as we got. Barbara and Jasmine were so nice and understanding about the cancelation. I was looking forward to having them for my wedding day and I'm sure they would've done a wonderful job!

I got married on July 22, 2018. When I first met Barbara, she was so easy-going, warm and friendly. My first makeup trial with a different company didn't go well at all, so I was happy when Barbara took her time during the makeup trial to understand what I wanted and then delivered great results. A few weeks before my wedding, I got really tan by accident and was nervous this would make things difficult as she would have to time extra time to match my new shade of makeup. Barbara was very reassuring and on my wedding day she did an excellent job with not only adjusting my makeup but doing all my friends' makeup really well. She was very talented at making us look like a more enhanced version of ourselves but still natural looking! Each lady in my bridal party was allowed to keep a full lipstick and our makeup stayed the whole day- no smudging or melting in the summer heat. Thanks, Barbara. It was a joy to work with you!

I am now the third bride in my group of friends to have Barbara and the Bridal Artistry team do their wedding hair and makeup. What I appreciated was that there wasn’t a minimum number of services or people I had to have to work with Barbara & Mandy. I respect for the time and commitment to this type of service, many other companies have minimums. I was trying to keep things simple and wasn’t having a big bridal party. It was just going to be me, my (now) mother-in-law, and then hair styling for my (now) sister-in-law and 2 “to be determined if they will sit for it” young flower girls. Barbara was totally fine with this and didn’t add any additional charges for not having a certain number. Additionally, when my (now) husband tells me the night before “hey, my cousin was wondering if she could get her hair done” …they were wonderfully flexible and added her. My hair & makeup trial was included in my hair & makeup package, which was reasonably priced when I researched this against how other companies charged separately for the trial and then the wedding day. Personally, I couldn’t see trying to opt out of a trial so welcomed having all this bundled together. The reason I gave them all 5 stars – not only for their beautiful work & talent, but their commitment. Mandy (hair stylist) had a small injury and I would have totally understood if she had someone else from the team sub for her that day. Nope, she showed up and did an incredible job despite being under the weather. To me, it meant a lot to not have a new person jump in on my wedding day even though everything was documented with pictures and you get the sense that the whole team are true professionals. My group of friends is running out of brides, so I hope my review can inspire others to hire Bridal Artistry!

I first worked with Bridal Artistry as a bridesmaid in a friend’s wedding in Nov 2016, and asked for so many of her vendor recommendations as I began planning my own wedding. I had thought Ky did a wonderful job with my hair in my friend’s wedding, and asked for her by name. Barbara was quick and responsive over emails the whole time , and Ky was available for our day. The day of the trial, we also discovered a bit by chance that Laura (makeup) had worked my friend’s wedding, too! Ky spent a lot of time asking questions during the trial: I had a few photos, and she was able to get me to describe what I liked and didn’t among the different ones. We landed on the perfect look on the first try, and didn’t need a single change. Laura was spot on with what I wanted from makeup: nothing over the top, but clearly better than my every day! The day of went wonderfully for myself, and five bridesmaids (plus a blowout for my mother in law). Everyone looked stunning and the styles held through the very last dance.

I spent A LOT of time researching bridal hair/makeup before I chose Bridal Artistry and they are by far the best out there. I'll start by saying that I have A LOT of hair and I'm always apprehensive when it comes to having it styled by someone because I know how overwhelming it can be. When it came time for my hair and makeup trial Norma was able to tame my mane like the pro she is. She had no problem getting my hair to do exactly what I wanted it to do! Sondra was my makeup artist and she was able to create the exact look I was going for and took the time to mix a few different shades of foundation to get my exact shade of incredibly pale! On the day of the wedding Norma and Sondra both arrived to my house 10 minutes early and got to work immediately. I have hair and make-up done for my brides maids and the mothers of the bride and groom and everything was perfect. I even changed up my hair and make-up slightly from my trials and both artist perfectly captured my vision of what I wanted. Everyone looked gorgeous the entire day and both hair and make-up held up in the July heat!

Barbara and Norma did a great job on me and my family members. I normally do not wear a lot of makeup and did not really know what would look good, but Barbara created a look that was very natural but still looked right for the event. Norma also did a great job on my hair. I have very thick wavy hair that she made into a great braided look. My mom also got her hair and makeup done and it looked amazing. My mom sent some pictures of what she wanted for her hair and Norma came up with something that was just what she was looking for. I recommend Barbara and her team very highly. After going to the hair/makeup trial, I was very assured that it would look great on the big day and it did.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Barbara and her team (Sondra-makeup & Norma- hair). From the beginning, they were always responsive to my emails and really put me at ease. On the day of my wedding, Sondra showed up early and the rest of the day was a breeze and stress-free from there. Hair and makeup was done for over 10 women with different complexions, styles, etc and they worked with each of them to ensure they liked their final product. For my hair and makeup, Norma and Barbara knocked it out of the park! Highly recommend this team!

Disastrous. Makeup was not what was done at the trial and I had to wash my face and do it myself 15 minutes before my bridal photos and video. I had to ask video and photo to wait while I reapplied my makeup, chewing up very precious time and money. One of my bridesmaid's ended up washing her face and doing her makeup herself as well. I paid in advance by 8 months and gave both stylists their final payment, plus advanced tip 30 minutes before my makeup was finished. We were asked to pay immediately after hair was completed because the stylist who had done our hair had to leave early for another appointment. I should have waited until my makeup was finished before I tipped, but we were being pressured to pay quickly so that the other stylist could leave. When my makeup was finished, it was obvious that I was extremely unhappy. The makeup artist never asked to fix it and instead started packing up her things and left without saying a word to anybody, while I sobbed and was consoled by my family, while everyone in my suite (including my photographer) frantically tried to help fix this disaster 45 minutes before we had tp leave for the cathedral. I am just relived that the hotel hosting my event was able to come through and find me a celebrity makeup artist to meet me in my suite before the reception. This of course took away from the time that was supposed to be used for the remainder of our photos, all thanks to this business. I am hoping that the several grand spent for video and photos will not be ruined because of the lack of skill of one individual at this business. Both stylists were late by an hour and 30 minutes to my trial 3 months ago and I should have known the direction that this would take during the biggest event of my life. The owner was very dismissive over the near no-shows for the trial and just as well for the disaster that had been my final bridal makeup. Thank goodness that the hotel saved the day.

I highly recommend Bridal Artistry. We used them for on-site hair and make-up services for myself (bride), the bridal party, and our mothers. Jacinda (hair stylist) did such a lovely job and helped find a special look for each of the girls. She also had everybody ready with time to spare. Audrey (make-up artist), was fabulous as well. Her work was impeccable and we all looked just as good at the end of the night as when she left us that morning. Very happy we went with Bridal Artistry. They listened to everything we asked for and made excellent recommendations, captured the whole vibe of the wedding and really brought out the best look in each of us.

Barbara did my makeup on my wedding day and it was absolutely fantastic. I'm a wedding photographer, so I've seen tons of different makeup artists but Barbara was the one I decided to go with for my big day. Her knowledge of makeup and her professionalism stood out amongst all the others. Admittedly, I was kind of nervous after my trial, I think mostly because I normally have my hair in a ponytail and I don’t really wear makeup, I just didn’t feel like myself. On the day of my wedding, I admitted this to them, and Jo and Jacinda listened to my every request, and were very reassuring. They were accommodating and toned down my look, and even had the photographer take pictures throughout the whole process so I could look at myself and see how it would translate to pictures. I am so grateful for their patience with me! I looked like myself…but better! I felt so confident the whole day and my make up and hair stayed in place! My bridesmaid’s hair looked great and I know they enjoyed being pampered, too. Their prices are very reasonable considering they travel and come to you! I highly recommend Jo and Jacinda!

Bridal Artistry was fabulous! The trial process was fun and easy and I left knowing that I would be in excellent hands on my big day. Audrey was my makeup artist and Shaunda my hair stylist. They were prompt, professional, and everyone looked absolutely amazing when they were finished working their magic! I couldn't have been happier with the results! It was a lovely experience working with them and I highly recommend them both!

The company was very quick is responding to me and very flexible, especially considering I waited until 3 weeks away from my wedding to find a hair/make up stylist! We were paired with Norma and she did a fantastic job. During the trial run at her house, she listened to all my ideas and was able to fit all of them in. She is lovely and such a sweet person. The day of, my hair was exactly how I wanted it and stunning. It stayed in place all day which was a big deal, because my hair tends to go straight after an hour of being curled. The make up was also great; I looked flawless and radiant. I woke up with big bags under my eyes that she helped make disappear. I received so many compliments from my guests! Norma was also so flexible in being able to fit one of my bridesmaids in last minute. The overall cost was a bit pricey. I think the company could be a little more competitive if the prices were lower. I'm happy though! Everything turned out perfectly and the company, and it's artists, are definitely reliable.

i chose my hair stylist Roshaundra through this company and she did a beautiful job on my hair, my moms hair and my four year old daughter. she was on time, professional, friendly, and she was there when i needed her even before the wedding. the trial session really helped me focus my vision for my hair.

First let me start by telling you a little bit about my needs: I was arranging a intimate wedding in DC from London,UK. This posed a few complications. First I was only going to be in DC for a week before my wedding and 4 months before my wedding. Needless to say having a trial 4 months before when my dress wasn't even in yet would have been pointless. After explaining all this to Barbara, she made it possible for me to have my trial and then have her for the wedding a week later. Next issue, we don't have a car in the city, and the trial is at her studio in Virginia, Barbara was so generous and kind to pick myself, my mother and my maid of honour up for us all to share the trial experience from the Metro stop. I had Barbara for make up and Ky for hair. Next to the details of the trial, we discussed colours of dresses and flowers, and then decided on a soft eye and dramatic red lip. Barbara's skill is amazing. Then Ky looked at the pictures of the hair styles I liked and came up with a perfect style. Both Barbara and Ky listened to what I wanted and the ideas that I had and taking all that in to consideration made sure that I had the perfect look. You know that feeling you get when you try on THE DRESS and know, well I had that after looking in the mirror at my wedding look. It's like they took the idea in my head and made it a reality! Bridal Artistry are a team second to none, and while I was lucky to have Barbara herself, I can tell that no one on her team wouldn't be there if they weren't up to her high standards. When there was a little hiccup with my powder and lipstick accidentally going back with Barbara in her case, she turn right around and again and dropped it off, not actually that I ended up needing it until 6 or so in the evening, (I had a morning ceremony and lunch reception) my face was flawless in all the picture and has garnered many compliments, the main one from my husband who was literally slack jawed for at least 90 seconds when he first saw me. Thank you Barbara and Ky for adding to my special day and making it even more amazing.
