I had a wonderful experience at Bridal Bells. The owner has a great selection of dresses for plus size brides and she was honest with how dresses looked on me which I appreciated. I highly recommend and Barbara was very nice and helpful.

I had the most amazing experience at Bridal Bells Boutique! I highly recommend this Bridal Salon for plus size girls, like me! Barbara has been wonderful to work during this entire process - from reaching out to book the appointment to ordering my dream dress! And when I say dream dress...it really is! I contacted Barbara to try on a specific dress that I liked, and to make sure she had it at her store, which she did. I’m a plus size girl and I was so nervous to go try on dresses, and terrified I wouldn’t be able to fit into any sample sizes...but she made it so easy...and she had dresses of all sizes! I tried on the dress I fell in love with on Pinterest first, and loved it. I wanted to see what other options I had though. To make sure I had the full bridal experience, Barbara pulled different style dresses in her store in my size, or close to it and I tried on about 12 dresses in total. 12 dresses!!! I was terrified I wouldn’t be able to try on any, and I was blown away! There was no judgement and she was so pleasant to work with and made this experience so fun and relaxed for me. I really did get the full bridal salon experience and am still smiling about it! I did say yes to the dress and ended up with the first dress I tried on, the one I contacted her about. It is perfect! I am beyond grateful for Barbara - her patience, honesty and expertise! I am excited for the next steps!

This boutique is the definition of "dont judge a book by its cover". The shop is quaint but the dress collection is massive and Barbra helped me find my dream dress in under an hour! It was such a lovely experience and I am so greatful for Barbras bridal gown expertise!

Before going to Bridal Bells, I had gone to three other bridal shops and left each feeling more unsuccessful and defeated than the last. I was worried that I was too picky and my "perfect dress" didn't exist. This was not the case! Barbara at Bridal Bells was beyond helpful and very accommodating to my time constraints. She listened to me and pulled dresses that fit exactly what I was looking for, and was always there with guidance and suggestions. After putting on the first dress, I felt so relieved knowing I'd go home having found "the dress" ... only for the next couple dresses to top the first one! Barbara at Bridal Bells has a beautiful selection of dresses and I cannot recommend this shop enough!

After an absolute terrible experience at Davids Bridal I was scared to go wedding dress shopping again. My fears quickly melted away upon meeting Barbara at Bridal Bells. She was so knowledgeable and helpful. There was so many beautiful dresses to choose from I didn’t know how I was going to decide! But I did and walked away with the perfect dress for the most special day of my life. Barbara was very efficient in having the next dress ready for me and also helping me get zipped in so I looked good walking out to my family. With every dress she fixed the train as I stepped up to the mirror then she stepped aside so my family and I could enjoy the moment. I cannot be more thankful or recommend Bridal Bells enough. If you have any doubts make an appointment and go try on some dresses!! You will not be disappointed I promise you.

I did not have great experience here at all. I did purchase my dress here because I found my perfect dress and I couldn't pass on it. When I walked in the women was very cold I told her what I was looking for and she grabbed some dresses threw them in the dressing room and left. She would leave for longer periods of time and not help me get the dress zipped and tightened. She complained the whole time about wearing a mask while I had two people in my party who are immune compromised but didnt want to miss me trying on dresses. all and all my family made it great but the experience I got here was not what i dreamed when getting my dress. It could definitely be because of COVID but I just felt rushed and she was very cold during the whole appointment.

I loved my wedding dress I bought at Bridal Bells Boutique. Everything there was great from the time I walked in from the time I took my dress home. The alterations done were amazing, well done, and timely. Everyone was friendly and professional. I would definitely go back if I am in need of a dress for a function in the future.

I bought my wedding dress at Bridal Bells, and cannot thank Barbara and Kristina enough for making sure my dress was perfect for our special day! I had a pretty large wedding party... 12 Bridesmaids and a Junior Bridesmaid. Including myself, we all found the perfect dress as Bridal Bells Boutique. My mother and grandmother also purchase their dresses from there. Barbara was great to work with. She opened the store on a Sunday so we could go in just us and look at dresses. She let us bring in light apps and Champagne to make it special. For the bridesmaids, I picked one of the designers the store carries and selected the colors/textures I wanted and then let each of the girls pick their own style. There were TONS of options so every girl felt very comfortable and beautiful in their dress Christine did an awesome job with my alterations, she took the time to ensure everything fit perfectly...even if that meant incremental work for her. The prices were very reasonable and I actually spent a lot less than I had budgeted for. I would recommend this shop! It was a great experience!

I am so happy with my experience at Bridal Bells Boutique! I was able to send ideas to the owner before showing up, and immediately when I arrived for my appointment, she had multiple styles of dresses picked out for me. I couldn't believe what a seamless, stress-free experience that she provided. She was able to work with my budget and with my ideas, as well. I highly recommend Bridal Bells!!

Where do I begin? Working with Barbara at Bridal Bells was the best experience! I wasn’t quite sure what I was looking for when I went to pick out my wedding dress, but she was amazing at pulling styles that she thought I would like. The dress that I picked ended up being the third dress that I tried on. I was in love with at the moment that I saw it and was all because of her! She was easy to work with, friendly, and helpful. From day one to the day that I picked up my dress for my wedding I couldn’t have been happier. Anyone who is looking to find the perfect wedding dress should seriously consider looking at bridal bells!

Bridal Bells was better than expected! She opened the shop for my appointment on a Sunday when they are usually closed. She had a couple dresses she sent to me before my appointment and had them ready for when I got there. When I found a dress I really liked she pinned possible alterations and different straps so I could really envision what it would look like. My favorite part is she had dresses my size!! Which normally all the dresses were way too big for me. 🙂 I bought my dream dress from here and can’t wait to go back for alterations!

I had the BEST experience at Bridal Bells! The owner is incredibly accommodating, so sweet and helpful. She truly listens to what you are looking for. I was surprised by the wide selection of dresses available at the store... I am SO picky, but I found my dream dress here! :) They also have a wide selection of mother-of-the-bride dresses to choose from which is great for my mom. After meeting Barbara, I honestly can't imagine working with anyone else leading up to my special day. I recommend Bridal Bells to all brides looking for their perfect dress.

I brought my dress to Bridal Bells to be altered since I bought it off the rack at another bridal shop and the dress was about 10 sizes too big. I wanted to bring it to a tailor way ahead of time to talk about what needed to be altered, see if it could actually be done, and talk about pricing. Bridal Bells was the answer to all of my dress problems! They were super accommodating with making appointments and easy to work with. They did a phenomenal job altering my dress and accomplishing exactly what I wanted. I am so glad that I found this place to make my wedding dress perfect!

Love Barbara and Krystina. It was such a relief to find a bridal shop that had real sizes and dresses that I could actually try on. I tried on dozens and fell in love with a few. Barbara let me try on each dress as many times as I needs until I found “the one”. The rest of the process was delightful, including finding my bridesmaids dresses. Barbara knows her stuff and everyone looked amazing. I highly recommend Bridal Bells.

Went in nervous I wouldn't be able to find anything. Barbara didn't even ask my size and just pulled gowns that she thought would look good on me. First one I tried on was perfect and I haven't looked back! They did some customizations to the dress and I'm sure they will look perfect for my big day!

I am in love! I met Barbara at the Connecticut Bridal Expo and called after to make an appointment. I went in with my mom, sister, and future mother-in-law. This was my first time going to look at dresses and was open to trying on anything that Barbara suggested. Within 43 minutes I not only found the perfect dress, but it fell within my budget and I couldn’t be happier with my experience! I would recommend Bridal Bells to anyone who needs to buy a dress!

I purchased my dress from a trunk show at another shop. When it came in I was unhappy with the color (to me it didn’t look the same as the sample I tried on) they told me I couldn’t return it for a different color so I was stuck with that dress in that color. When I went to bridal bells for alterations Barbara worked it out so I was able to order a new dress in the color I really wanted (how awesome is that!). I wish I had ordered my dress from them in the very beginning. They are very knowledgeable and have exceptional customer service! She kept in constant communication with me so I knew when my dress was ordered, shipped, and arrived.

So happy I found this place! I love that the entire inventory is online, so i could print pictures of dresses i loved and i knew they would be there and what size was available to try. Also, it being a small boutique, i was the only bride there and my family and I got individualized attention. but the absolute best part is how affordable the dresses are!!! Any dress in the boutique would be doable on my budget, and rather than feeling like i settled, i feel like I just bought the most beautiful dress I've ever seen! i can't wait to marry my guy wearing that dress!!!

Women on the phone was SUPER rude. She told me it was too early to look for a wedding dress and not to come in because I "probably" wasn't going to buy one this early. Like I was wasting her time but trying on styles if I wasn't going to buy yet. So rude! Never going there!!!!!

This was the first place I went for dress shopping and I walked out an hour later having purchased my DREAM wedding gown at a VERY reasonable price. I really could not be happier. The owner knows what she is doing, saw probably three screenshots I had for what I imagined my gown looking like, and along with my budget grabbed 7 or so dresses for me to try on. Every single one was exactly the style I was going for. She knew I would like to not spend as much and ended up having a display that was discontinued that she was able to offer an amazing price for. I thought, because of my budget, that I was going to have to settle on a dress. Instead I got exactly what I was looking for at LESS than what I was expecting to spend.

Bridal Bells have a good amount of plus size dresses. Call ahead and request dresses because they sale out fast. The price is reasonable and Barbara works with you.

With only 3 weeks to my wedding, I found my beautiful dress! I had a bad experience prior, and Barbara really worked with me. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she brought in dresses that were just that. She was wonderful! Would definitely recommend this shop to all. Should of gone here from the beginning!

While the dresses for my bridal party ended up working out, I was very disappointing at the customer service from this place. I noticed things done deliberately to charge us more. For example, the height of my girls was not measured and the dresses came in really long, so we would have to use the seamstress service to shorten them. I will not be returning nor recommending this place ever.

With my wedding only two weeks away, I reached out to Bridal Bells to find a dress after my first wedding dress was altered incorrectly. Barbara even opened her store on Sunday to accommodate my work schedule and to give me a head start with the search process. The dress selections were good and her prices are reasonable. I would definitely recommend you give Bridal Bells a look when shopping for that special dress!

I was very impressed Bridal Bells. Barbara takes great care of the dresses in her shop and her customers. Barbara spent two hours with me during my first appointment; she selected a handful of dresses for me to try on based on the description I gave her of my ideal dress. By the fifth dress, I knew I had found the one! Barbara answered all of my questions and helped me try different strap/sleeve options to see if I wanted to make alterations. When I contacted her a week later to come see the dress again, she made room in her schedule for us to come in that same day. I know I am in good hands with Bridal Bells and can't wait to see my dress when it's delivered in December!

I went to this boutique in a really bad mood. I'd been to a few other shops and NONE had anything that would fit my body type (very top-heavy, broad shoulders, wide hips, but not plus sized) and I was over the pushy, lying salespeople and lack of mirrors in dressing rooms. The owner was wonderful, found a handful of dresses that would fit both my body and my idea of a beautiful dress, and quickly had me in a *comfortable * dressing room. She worked within my budget and my alterations were done in store by their wonderful tailor. First try, perfect fit. I literally couldn't be happier with my dress and the service I was treated with. If I could think of a negative, I'd leave it here, but there really are none. They were fast, efficient, always on time and ready for me during appointments, and super friendly and helpful. Great experience from start to finish, highly recommend!

I had been to a few different places and tried on quite a few dresses but never received the outstanding and knowledgeable service I got while at Bridal Bells Boutique! We started with a dress around what I was looking for and as we were talking I explained a little more of the things I would like to have....she knew every dress in her store and showed it. She picked out dress after dress for me that were similar but different in their own way. I tried on at least 5 before I found the one that brought a tear to my eye and to be honest it was the one I least thought I would like. The seamstress was there and was able to provide advice about the dresses as needed and how they could be altered which helped greatly for me! I am looking forward to going back there and trying on the dress again when it comes back in for alterations. Thank you ladies for all your help!

I got my wedding dress and had the alterations done at Bridal Bells and the whole experience was fantastic! This shop was the last stop on a hectic day of wedding dress shopping and the owner was so accommodating despite us not having an appointment. She helped us looked through the racks for a dress that would work for me, and even dresses that could be altered to what I wanted. The prices for the dresses are very reasonable. The alterations on the dress were done beautifully. I got so many compliments on my wedding day about my gorgeous dress.

Bridal Bells Boutique has PLUS SIZE mother of the bride/groom[and bride] dresses that you can ACTUALLY TRY ON!! [ I visited OTHER salons and they want you to put a smaller dress in front of you and decide if you like it or not! ] She is very knowledgeable about what she has in the store, and makes very good suggestions. There are numerous styles to try on and colors to view. You will be pleased!

Bridal bells was such a blessing to me!! I struggled so hard with finding a wedding dress that I was comfortable in. I went to all of the large chain stores and most times left in tears thinking I would never find a dress that I could stand to wear. My mother and I made an appointment with Barbara at Bridal Bells (she accommodated our difficult schedules and came in just for us when they were closed!). I told Barbara a bit of what I was looking for and what i hated. She pulled so many dresses for me and surprisingly I really loved most of them! I ended up find the most beautiful dress that was still within my budget! I had all my alterations done through them as well and they were perfect and the price was reasonable. I can't say strongly enough how much I recommend this store. Barbara truly has a gift!!

I just purchased my wedding dress here! I'm very small and she was very helpful in showing me what dresses I could order to fit in. I loved all of the dresses I tried on, she listened to what I wanted and only selected ones she knew I would be interested in. She also gave me a deal on the veil I wanted! Everyone was extremely helpful and supportive!

I am so thankful for these wonderful ladies. I had a horrible experience getting my wedding dress altered at Alfred Angelo. When I called them, they told me to come the next day and they would fix it. They found mistakes I didn’t even know happened! They were honest with how much they would charge, and always told me what I would have to pay. They re-did my bustle and made it absolutely beautiful. I would recommend getting alterations done by them to anyone. They did a fabulous job and saved my wedding dress!

Wonderful experience! The shop is small but the selection is quite extensive. I told the shop owner (Barbara) what I was looking for and she selected about 10 dresses for me to try on. All of them were gorgeous and I ended up finding THE ONE. Plus, when I wanted to add some additional designs, she was more than happy to accommodate my wishes. I'm so incredibly happy with the service I received from Bridal Bells. I had a very short engagement (only 4 months), but Bridal Bells made sure I could receive my dress and have all of the alterations done before the wedding date. Even though I'm not an average size bride (size 24), Bridal Bells had a great selection from me to choose from. It was really important to me that I could find a suitable coverage option for my arms. Bridal Bells suggested a lovely jacket that could be altered into sleeves for me. I was nervous about how it would look with the dress, but when it did arrive, the color matched perfectly. I couldn't love the dress more. One last thing, the tailoring is amazing. Attaching the jacket to the gown is not an easy feat. Bridal Bells only had a few short weeks to complete the alterations for me, but even so they have approached the work with painstaking care. The quality of the work is amazing.

A small boutique with lots of options. I ended up getting a discontinued dress that stayed under my budget (wonderful quality). A professional seamstress helped me completely redesign the straps/top of my dress. These ladies are hard working, good people. Very professional and knowledgeable. I booked an appointment and they made sure I was the only bride in the store. I got their complete attention and advice. A wonderful experience after I felt discouraged from shopping at larger shops.

I have been going to Bridal Bells since 2007 for all my alterations for proms and assorted formal events in college. After being stood up by a seamstress that the bridal boutique where I got my dress recommended, I went back to the tried and true place I had been to so many years before. With only 3 weeks until my wedding, I called the shop the night I was stood up, and within an hour of them closing the lovely owner told me to come on down! I DEFINITELY made the right choice and it was totally meant to be. The owner and the seamstress there are so good at what they do and they really work with the bride to make sure everything you want happens just right. My dress was gorgeous and they altered it quickly for an affordable price. The lace was very intricate and the dress was delicate- but that didn't matter because their expertise is great for all things formal. The final alterations were perfect and my dress looked great on me. They also do custom work for brides for accessory pieces. I told them that I was looking for a bolero jacket that matched my gold dress but couldn't find anything without fur or feathers on it, so they made the jacket for me! I went out and found a yard of satin fabric that matched my dress and they constructed my perfect jacket that matched my dress and kept me very warm for the outside pictures on my November wedding morning. It was perfect. I cannot say enough good things about the amazing owner and seamstress at this shop. Their work is impeccable, and their time and patience they give to each customer is unmatched. Don't waste your time at other places... Go straight to Bridal Bells!!

After a disappointing appointment at a large chain bridal store, my mom and I decided to stop by Bridal Bells since we live in the area to see if they had the mother of the bride dress she had seen online. We arrived only a half hour before closing time but were welcomed in by the owner, Barbara. I had an appointment scheduled in two weeks to try on wedding dresses but Barbara and I got to talking about what I was looking for while my mom tried on dresses. She pulled a dress she thought I would like and let me try it on right then. I knew immediately it was the one! Even without an appointment and close to closing time, she spent time showing me different options for adding sleeves or a belt. Her seamstress came in to show me the different ways I could have it bustled too. I could not be more pleased with the service and the professionalism! I look forward to working with Bridal Bells on the dress of my dreams!

I'd been searching the internet for a couple months looking to find bridal salons in Connecticut that carry plus size bridesmaid dress samples for one of my bridesmaids to be able to try on. This is not as common of a find as one may think. I had an appointment earlier in the day at another salon that claimed to have a wide selection of plus size dresses to choose from but only carried 1 or 2 dresses that MIGHT fit or looked totally awful. The consultant "assisting" us was not attentive or helpful whatsoever and after only about 30 minutes, I became fed up and left. After stopping in multiple stores and looking online, I feared I would have to resort to choosing a style from catalog and keeping my fingers crossed that it would look good. I had a list of dress shops I hadn't visited yet and Bridal Bells was first on the list. I remembered I called them earlier that week to see if they carried plus sizes and decided to give them a call to see if we could drop by. Barbara welcomed us to come down as soon as we could. Upon arrival, we were greeted as soon as we walked in. I briefly explained what we were looking for and she immediately starting pulling dresses of what we had in mind and would suit our needs. When trying on the dresses, she gave us her honest opinion when asked and offered us different options and creative ideas to customize and get the perfect look. We had gotten to the 5th dress and it was a hit. We loved everything about it! Perfect look for an even more perfect price. I was overjoyed as were my bridesmaids. The search was over! Thanks so much, Barbara, for all of your help! I would definitely recommend visiting Bridal Bells for a great selection and very kind, quick, attentive service from the ladies here. They were all just wonderful and made it all so easy!!

Bridal bells in berlin has the biggest plus size slection in the area. you wont find that many gowns elswhere dont waste your time driving out of state to those famous bigger salons or drive all over the state she has everything right in her shop. she has plus sizes in 14-30w and lots of options to choose from, not only does she specialize in plus but she also carrys regular size bridal gowns as well. barbra the owner is very friendly and not pushy she knows its your most important descision she knows what looks good on your body and will show you all the gowns she has for you to try on. i tried on over 13 gowns. if you want something added on to the dress like sleeves or straps no problem she will tell you what works with each dress you try on.. she carrys morilee jasmine, venus and a few other designers and she does not carry expensive gowns the higest gown i think i tried on was 1200 her gowns start at 400-500 and go up to i would say 1300 the higest priced gown. she also carrys mob bridesmade, viels shoes acessories and flower girl. onsite seamstress to do all of your alterations. dont even bother to call up many local bridal shops in the area to find out what they have in your size to try on most places will tell you 0 gowns or 1-4 gowns not even worth it call bridal bells and get an apointment you wont regret it. purchased my morilee gown with an additonal strap to make it 2 straps instead of one strap

I found the dress I wanted for my bridesmaids on chance, called Bridal Bells from a list and struck gold. After dealing with East West over the phone I knew I was not interested in bringing them our business. However Bridal bells was night and day, the owner is a DOLL with a strong honest opinion she will NOT steer you wrong. She went through the trouble of ordering the dress I ordered so my bridesmaids could try it on. She was quite fair with all the pricing and always helpful with a friendly attitude. I would definitely recommend bringing your business to her in the future, you may see our picture hanging if you are lucky :)
