Thank you, Bridal Boutique by New Name, for blessing me with such a positive, uplifting, wonderful bridal dress shopping experience! After a not so positive initial experience at David's Bridal, I came across Bridal Boutique by New Name and made an appointment. They were extremely responsive and flexible even when I had to cancel 2 appointments due to illness. We were greeted by 2 wonderful volunteers who spent time talking about their mission. They assisted me in trying on almost 20 dresses, some I picked out, some they recommended. Ultimately we narrowed it down and sealed the deal when putting it together with the veil. We stayed well within my budget! I felt beautiful, confident, encouraged, and supported in the decision. All of the proceeds from dress sales go to an incredible mission of supporting abused and trafficked women so I walked away feeling so good about my purchase. All together, an incredible organization with well trained, compassionate volunteers. I feel so fortunate to have had this experience. Thank you, Bridal Boutique by New Name!!!! Highly recommend!

Absolutely recommend this place! Incredibly kind, and thoughtful volunteers, working for a great cause. I felt very comfortable there and did not feel pressured to buy a dress. They helped me to find a style that I wasn’t expecting for myself, but love! They really seemed to care about finding the right dress for me, and didn’t make me feel rushed into choosing. I was able to put my dress on hold and able to try it on again a week later. Will be telling all the brides I know about this place!

My experience at New Name was wonderful! The ladies helped me find a dress, try them on, and in no way were they pushy. I enjoyed there genuine questions and it was super neat hearing about the mission of the organization.

I absolutely LOVED my experience at Bridal Boutique by a New Name! I had a perfect experience from start to finish - from speaking with the director of the organization on the phone about their mission, to booking the appointment and then trying on dresses and finding the one - it was seamless! I got the same experience (if not better) than my friends who went to larger boutiques and spent 3x what I spent. Not only are you having a private and personalized bridal experience, but you are supporting an incredible organization while doing so. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was perfect - they had a lot of variety in styles and sizes. Sue and Stacy helped me pick out dresses that would fit my personality, wedding style and body type, as well as interacted kindly with my family and never once rushed me. I found a gorgeous dress and I'm so glad I can help a very worthy Christian organization! I HIGHLY recommend shopping at this boutique!!

I had an amazing time! I loved having the boutique to myself and the staff was very helpful. There was a decent selection of wedding dresses for my size and I ended up finding a dress I love. The added bonus is that I got to take the dress home the same day and my money went to an amazing organization.

While I did not end up getting my dress here, I highly recommend this organization. They had a very large variety of dresses that are in very good condition (many dresses are samples or gently used), the volunteers so very helpful and friendly, and it was an overall great experience! The mission of this boutique is an added bonus.

I highly recommend bridal boutique by new name. It’s very welcoming from the second you walk into the boutique. You feel heard and your feelings are completely validated. There was no rush and that was very clear from the beginning. The experience was unmatched. I found my dress and recommend all brides check it out.

These ladies were absolutely lovely to work with. Such a great wedding dress shopping experience. Super personalized. They really listed to what I wanted and were able to support with their opinions when I was unsure. When I found a dress I liked they also jumped in and held up vails and belts and hair bling to support in me seeing the full vision. They are not pushy at all and just so supportive. This goes to a great cause on top of it and these dresses are so reasonably priced! This was the first and last place I went to look for my dress! 10/10 would recommend!

I HIGHLY recommend Bridal Boutique by New Name! They have amazing dresses for an amazing price. Not to mention, the mission behind this shop is one that I stand behind...helping local women in need. I had my appointment on October 27th. After trying on many gorgeous dresses there, I found one I absolutely fell in love with. The ladies were very nice to work with and helpful with getting in and out of the dresses. I wasn't rushed at all. It's in a nice location. It's in the basement of the owners house but you would never guess it because it's set up and looks exactly like a dress boutique shop. They also have accessories for purchase as well. 10/10 recommend Bridal Boutique by New Name!

I couldn’t recommend Bridal Boutique by New Name more. Besides having so many gorgeous gowns to choose from and a warm and welcoming atmosphere, they have the most wonderful mission. I was able to walk away from my appointment not only with my dream wedding dress (at an insanely discounted price), but also with the amazing feeling that my dress directly helped benefit exploited and trafficked women in the area. Don’t hesitate to make an appointment!

I had such a wonderful experience! I couldn't believe how beautiful the boutique is, completely hidden away. The volunteers went out of their way to help me feel comfortable, and really made the whole experience feel special. I tried on so many beautiful dresses - it was tough to choose! I had no idea what to expect going into my appointment and was mostly just going for fun to try on different styles of dresses and support their mission- but I ended up finding my dress and having the best time! Carol and Danka were so helpful, they helped explain which alterations could be made to dresses that didn’t quite fit, brought out veils and accessories, and made the appointment so fun and relaxed! I am so thankful for the experience I got to have here and I got the most beautiful dress (for less than 1/4 of the original price and all going to charity!!) that I cannot wait to wear on the big day. I’d highly recommend this to any brides in the Chicago area and beyond!

I highly recommend this bridal boutique. Their dresses are stunning, the space was clean and intimate, and the staff were so friendly and attentive. I loved that I was the only bride in the space, and they really listened to what I wanted in a dress. They made me feel so comfortable with the process, and they helped me find the perfect dress for a reasonable price. They were even kind enough to let me stay a little longer to decide if that was the dress I wanted. I highly recommend this boutique!

New Name was wonderful! I appreciated how flexible they were and how helpful they were. Their space is beautiful and the dresses are gorgeous. They have a large selection of styles and types of wedding dresses. I found my wedding dress here for a great price and I'm so glad that I did. It is also a wonderful cause to donate to.

My experience at Bridal Boutique by New Name was fantastic, and I found a beautiful wedding dress there! Several of my friends had found their wedding dresses there, so I decided to give it a try. It feels like a bridal boutique despite being in a basement, and there were so many dresses to choose from! I tried on about 12-15 dresses, all in my size and in the style I was hoping for. The volunteer was very helpful but not overbearing. Overall, great experience, great dress, great price, and best of all, great cause! I would recommend Bridal Boutique by New Name in a heartbeat!

I am a huge fan of Bridal Boutique by New Name, and I tell every bride I meet to look for their dress there! They have an amazing selection of dresses at any price point. I got my dress there and I’m guessing it was previously altered to someone my size, so I am not paying a dime for alterations (super rare, it was meant to be!) I got the dress itself for under $700, and it has gorgeous lace and beading over the whole thing. It was so nice to have the entire boutique to myself and my guests, and the volunteers are incredibly kind and helpful. Also, no wait time for ordering a dress is awesome for anyone wanting a shorter engagement! One of my best friends also got her dress here, and we much preferred this experience to a local bridal store we visited. We’re both pretty tall, and New Name had plenty of options for both of us! Also, the mission of the boutique to help victims of trafficking in the Chicago area is a major draw. So many things you pay for in planning your wedding are hundreds or thousands of dollars towards the wedding industrial complex; Bridal Boutique by New Name is an investment in the lives of local women. CANNOT RECOMMEND ENOUGH. Carve it on my gravestone, this place is great. No other bridal boutique can compare.

Bridal Boutique by New Name is the best place out there!! Their mission is amazing, their volunteers are so helpful and sweet, and not to mention their dresses are gorgeous! I ended up getting the last dress I tried on here and I am so glad I did :)

The staff at New Name were so sweet and helpful. They were eager to help me find the right dress and didn’t pressure me to make a same day purchase at all. They have a great selection of dresses at great discounts. This is a hidden gem of a store! They had a great selection of new and consignment gowns, and what's great is that proceeds go to charity. The consultants were wonderful that we worked with. They gave up a lot of their time and were so kind and helpful.

I went to multiple more traditional options (David's, etc.) before I came to Bridal Boutique by New Name, and this boutique gave me by far the best service, options, and pricing of any I visited! The boutique itself feels totally magical since you would never expect to find something like that in a basement, the volunteers were professional and fun, and it was amazing that we got the whole place to ourselves. Plus, they were so well equipped for my needs and questions, and even had racks of shoes and shape wear to try with the dresses! I felt like a princess in this boutique, and best yet, I knew my money was going to a great cause. I cannot recommend this place enough. Whether you have a lower budget, want to support women who have experienced trafficking, or are simply looking for the perfect dress, you need to make an appointment.

I came upon this INCREDIBLE organization through a friend who mentioned volunteering for their organization. As a bride who loves thrifting, sustainability, paying it forward, and pretty dresses, it was everything I wanted AND MORE! After getting engaged, I decided to go to their overstock sale just to 'dip my toes' into dress shopping. After meeting several of the lovely volunteers, I walked to the first rack and I couldn't wait to try on a GORGEOUS dress, so I threw it on over my gym clothes. BOOM! I said yes to the dress! And yes, it got even better! Since it was an overstock sale, I took home a dress originally marked at $1800 for, wait for it… $20 DOLLARS Y'ALL! BEHOLD, THE GREATEST THRIFT OF MY LIFE! I donated in addition to the purchase, and returned to find my veil because this organization is WONDERFUL in all that they do to help women get setup for success. PLEASE look here first for your wedding dress/accessories - It makes your dress and your day much more fulfilling and you will be helping contribute to a great cause.

I finally found my dress!! I had gone shopping for my wedding dress 6 times before my appointment with Bridal Boutique by New Name with no avail. The second dress I tried on at my first and only appointment with New Name was the one!! I didn't find anything close to what I wanted at the other dress shops. I found multiple top contenders at New Name. They had so many different options and current trendy styles. I was the only bride there for a 2 hour appointment and I felt so cared for and welcomed. I actually had fun trying on dresses, where at the other shops I felt frustrated and disappointed. Angela was wonderful to work with! She made me feel so special and beautiful! She did not pressure me at all and she was just truly committed to helping me find my dress. The cherry on top? 100% of your dress purchase proceeds go to help local women who have been trafficked and exploited. I cannot recommend Bridal Boutique by New Name more. It was a wonderful experience and a fantastic cause!

My dress shopping experience was so great! The volunteers were so excited and invested in finding my dress. They were super flexible and patient with me as I figured out what it was I wanted. It was a very individual experience which was exactly what I wanted. AND the prices were great and supported a great cause.

Great spot to find a dress! Most of their dresses are donated (some are off the rack, unused), but all are in great condition. All proceeds go to trafficking victims. Great organization. As far as the quality of the dresses go, there's lots of variety--modern, up to date dresses, but also classic dresses! The people helping us were awesome. Very knowledgable, professional, and fun! I found my dress, as well as my veil, and an idea for what shoes I wanted. Awesome place!

Everything about Bridal Boutique by New Name was exactly what I had hoped for in a bridal dress shopping experience and more! I couldn't believe there is a nonprofit where 100% of the proceeds of my dress purchase benefit exploited women. (brilliant idea!) I knew without a doubt I needed to get my dress from here! They were super warm in communication via email as we set up the appointment.Upon arriving, we were welcomed by a chalkboard sign with my name on it, plus three WONDERFUL volunteers who supported me during my whole shopping experience. They told me more about dresses and sizing, and even helped me pick a few out! Every single person there was super welcoming and warm, and we laughed and smiling together the whole time. They were so patient as I went between two dresses I loved and helped me decide on my final dress! (which I am totally in love with!!!) I would not higher recommend this place if I wanted to. I was obsessed with every aspect and will be referring all my friends and family here over the years to come.

They have so many gowns to choose from and I really enjoyed having the opportunity to look on my own first as well as to be provided with recommendations. I found my dress based on a recommendation from Angela who had paid close attention to what I liked and ultimately allowed me to find my perfect dress! Bridal Boutique by New Name also has an amazing mission and helps human trafficking victims through their organization. In the end, I was able to get a high quality dress at a fraction of the cost and felt like my money spent was much more worth it based on their mission to help others. Highly recommend to anyone looking for their perfect dress!

First time wedding dress shopping and I SAID YES TO THE DRESS! My experience at Bridal Boutique by New Name was amazing. It was such an intimate experience being the only bride in the boutique. The kindness and care put into helping me find my dress was so nice. I really want to make our wedding meaningful - supporting small businesses, keeping things sustainable, etc. What a better way to make my dress meaningful by choosing to shop at New Name where 100% of the proceeds are given to help victims of human trafficking? So grateful to have found this place and would recommend them to anyone!

This is a nonprofit boutique out of someone's house, so you might expect something plain-Jane, but, it's really just such a scrumptious experience! I brought my little sister here to shop, and she found a stunning dress that fit her right off the rack. Amazing! A 5k designer dress for 1k. They have lots of donated floor models from other boutiques, so there are lots of never-worn dresses in the 6/8 and 12/14 common model sizes. I am 6' tall and wear about a 10/12, so when I bought my own gown a few months ago, I had so many un-hemmed brand-new dresses to choose from! It'll fit beautifully with moderate tailoring. All of the volunteer saleswomen are excellent and make it such a fun experience in the beautiful space. They make you feel like a queen. 95% of the time, you'll be the only group shopping. Pros: - Reject one-use fashion! Wear something that would have been tossed or sit unused otherwise. - Pay 20–40% of retail - Whatever you DO spend goes straight to support for women leaving the sex trade. - Selection: So many different styles and vibes compared to what you would find in the 3-4 collections featured at other new boutiques. Cons: - Selection, in another sense. Obviously, you can't get any gowns ordered in a different size.
