st, I want to sincerely apologize that your wedding day experience was anything less than what you had hoped for. It truly breaks my heart to hear that you look back on your wedding photos with disappointment, as every bride deserves to feel absolutely beautiful and confident on such a special day. I also want you to know how much I appreciated you reaching out to me personally after your wedding and allowing us the opportunity to hear your concerns. Your feedback was genuinely important to me, and I am so sorry that we fell short of your expectations. I did want to gently provide a little context regarding the concerns our artists expressed that morning. With your wedding taking place during Mardi Gras, transportation and road closures were especially challenging throughout the city. Unfortunately, just the day before your wedding, members of our team experienced a very similar situation and were unable to leave the area until 8:00PM that evening due to parade-related road closures. Having just experienced that firsthand, their concerns were very real and came from a place of trying to navigate an unusually difficult situation. I truly believe their intentions were never to make you feel rushed or add any stress to your morning. However, I completely understand that this was your wedding day, and those concerns should not have become yours to worry about. For that, I am genuinely sorry. Regarding our trial process, we schedule trials closer to the wedding date so that our brides can work directly with their assigned wedding-day artists. We understand that this arrangement is not always ideal, and I am sorry that the timing made it difficult for you to have that experience. Our bridal questionnaires are designed to help our artists understand each bride’s individual preferences and vision before the wedding day. It is disappointing to hear that you felt the information you provided was not reflected in your final look, and I sincerely apologize for that, as well as the issues you experienced with your lashes. Above all, I never want a bride to walk away from her wedding morning feeling anything other than beautiful, happy, and cared for. We put so much love into what we do, and it truly matters to me when someone’s experience doesn’t reflect that. Thank you again for your honesty and for allowing us to be a small part of such an important day in your life. We have almost 600 reviews between the Knot, Facebook, Wedding Wire and Google that are publicly displayed so I’m unsure what you are referring to when you say our reviews are turned off. Due to you  posting the review with your new last name, the Knot couldn’t verify you so the review was removed until you verified .  Our communication is intentionally streamlined through email to ensure we have clear records for every client — especially when working with multiple artists and timelines. However, I understand that for some, this can feel less personal, and I’m sorry if that affected your experience. In the past, if a bride prefers a phone call I have always been willing to hop on the phone immediately.  You did request our head stylist and her availability is limited due to her battling stage 4 cancer. She was undergoing treatment at the time so I unfortunately couldn’t guarantee her availability. However, I did fulfill your request and she was there on your big day while undergoing treatment because we both knew how important this was to you.  I’m especially disappointed to hear about the unprofessional behavior you experienced on your wedding day. That is absolutely not in line with our standards, and I’m addressing it directly with our headstylist. Our goal is always to create a stress-free and supportive environment on such an important day. The headstylist did communicate with the other MUA prior to leaving about doing lip touch ups. Your headstylist had to leave early due to feeling ill from her treatment. The other MUA was aware of this and was compensated.  I truly value your feedback, even when it’s hard to hear.
