rocess of high end gowns is top notch. Carol sat down and went over the whole process with me, video and all, and looked my gown over from top to bottom, I never felt rushed or pressured. When I went to pick it up even the packaging was beautiful. She artistically placed it so that the lace detail as well as my veil could be seen in the window (did I mention she preserved my veil at no extra charge). Carol went over how to open it if need be in the future, with the archival gloves she provided me with. She also saved my bra cups and gave me bra tape to reuse them, she also gave me extra acid free paper to wrap my wedding shoes in for storage. Worth every penny and then some!!

to get my new dress altered and gave me coupons to come back to take care of my dress afterwards. They take such great care of their dresses. You can tell they are about quality not about anything else. I would always recommend these nice people.

s hung in my closet for months before the wedding, and after I tried it on again and again, three weeks before the wedding it was looking a little wrinkled and understandably worn. I had even ripped a small bit of the hem when stepping into it in my high heels during my alterations appointment, to my great embarrassment. I knew that I couldn’t trust bringing it to just any old cleaners, so I found the Clothes Doctor on Yelp, called Carol and made an appointment. Carol sat down with me and described the cleaning process that would be necessary for the particular style and fabric of my gown, showed me the tools that would be used in the cleaning, and described very specifically how the rip would be mended. And when she inspected my dress, she even found a small oil stain that she could easily fix. Carol could not have been more friendly or open to any questions that I had, and able to ease my mind. I had genuine nightmare about something happening to the dress three weeks before the wedding, and with the insurance policy that Carol provided, I felt safe to know that my little dress, inexpensive but already beloved, would be in good hands. Carol was also sweet enough to recommend sewing in a simple wrist loop for my dress so that I could walk in it much easier. This ended up being a complete life-saver on the wedding day, and was something which I would not have thought of / known of without Carol’s recommendation. She was genuinely interested in making sure that the dress would be perfect, and a little detail like that went a LONG way. (And Carol, if you’re reading this, I think that I forgot to thank you for this in person when we last met – so THANK YOU!) My dress was done promptly and earlier than when promised, and it looked like a million dollars. Carol and her team did a fantastic job with the mending, removing the oil stain, and cleaning the dress in its entirety. On our wedding day, my husband and I danced for hours and hours with our friends and family, and in the process I absolutely and completely destroyed the dress, and quite happily too (as in my opinion that’s what the dress is for, to dance the night away in without care!) Even so, in its much loved, dirty and bedraggled state, I brought the haggard dress to Carol after the wedding and she didn’t even blink at the mess that it was. Carol and her team cleaned and repaired the dress once more, and packaged it up for me to keep. It looks as good as the day I bought it from the store. I am so lucky to have found Carol and Bob, they were lovely people, unendingly friendly and sweet, and I felt entirely confident leaving something so important with them. Thank you for your tender loving care of my dress and for your professionalism! I would recommend them highly to anyone in need of wedding dress repairs or cleaning.
