I did a hair and make-up trial with Sydney and I was thrilled. Gorgeous updo, excellent make-up. Even gave her a tip on the already $250 bill. Wedding day though, different story. ...
We were a small wedding party, really small. Not everyone did both services. But even with that the MOB and MOG didn't get to hair until 3:30 and 4:00. Pictures started at 2:30. The MOB missed helping the bride get dressed. Sydney refuses to provide a schedule, so everyone was there by 10am. Arriving at 10am and then finally getting in the chair for hair at 4:00 is not ok. But the biggest reason I'm writing this review is that the updo that was gorgeous on trial day, was a complete disaster on wedding day. Sydney was so rushed and frazzled, that she just threw my hair together. No teasing, no fillers. Teasing and fillers made the hair gorgeous on trial day. I didn't even see fillers on the counter, so I don't think they were even in her kit that day. I asked if she was using them and she said yes. Well, when I took my hair down, yeah, no, no fillers. Also everyone was supposed to get a touch up kit. No one got one. I reached out to Sydney post wedding to express my disappointment. No response. Several weeks later I reached out again and said I'd sent her a Venmo request for $95 for a refund on my hair. Every picture that comes out of the wedding, the lack of care in my hair, especially compared to trial day, is glaringly obvious. Since I've had no response to text or the Venmo request, writing this review seems appropriate. Beware ladies.

ob. I stumbled across Sydney online and was so impressed by her work that I didn't even bother booking a trial.
The day of my wedding she took the hairstyle I showed her a picture of and adjusted it slightly to work better with the local weather conditions. The results were absolutely gorgeous!!
Same beautiful results with makeup. I have literally never been satisfied with makeup services because my fine lines and hooded eyes always look terrible.. not with Sydney! She did an outstanding job on my makeup which lasted the evening throughout all the tears and sweat. I am very grateful to Sydney for doing such a wonderful job on such an important day.
