When we first talked to Shelley, we knew we wanted her to be our wedding coordinator because she was very knowledgeable and her pricing was very...
reasonable. Even though Shelley lives far, she drove down twice from Bellingham area all the way to Lakewood/South Tacoma for a venue walkthrough and rehearsal/wedding day—we appreciated that a lot. We glad we got her accommodation for one night, but after the wedding, she had to drive 2.5+hrs to get home. Shelley helped us setting up on the day of, and we liked that she does offer to pass on things from other weddings for us to use, like lawn games. She also went to pick up linens ahead of time to save us time with the setup as well. She kept our timeline throughout the day on track and that was super important.
However, there are some things we wish were different.
This is Shelley’s second job and that’s totally fine—honestly amazing (love the hustle), but her communication was so difficult that many times we had to question if we should look for an alternative. We had to both text the same thing many times to get a response—some times we saw the messages were “Read” but no acknowledgement. And we didn’t even have much to ask of Shelley before the wedding in terms of planning (we did all that). We just wanted to follow up on the things she said she would be doing, like venue walkthrough or reaching out to introduce herself to our vendors, which we ended up doing that anyways. We had so much grace for Shelley and understood that life happens, but all we asked for was a reply saying “let me get back to you on X day” instead of radio silence. We texted her our concerns many times as well, and maybe her communication improved for like a day.
During the wedding, a few times we could not find Shelley. She said during consult calls that she would be releasing guests to the buffet, but we had to ask the DJ to take care of that. It was not something that affects us much on the day, just some “where’s Shelley?”moments.
Overall, Shelley showed up and supported her couples. We just wish that the communication was better. We had an amazing team of vendors, but the one vendor who should be our biggest supporter was the one who we had concerns the most.

ng to emails, phone calls, and text messages. I would wait multiple days between each attempt at contact so as not to be too pushy. I tried to contact her over a period of a few months with no response. Finally I had no choice but to break the contract, naturally not getting my deposit back. She never did respond to that final email. Thank goodness I had time to switch wedding coordinators. Completely unprofessional. I would look elsewhere for a wedding coordinator.

I was truly able to trust Shelley to make sure everything happened the way it was supposed to. We appreciated her expertise ahead of time with numerous planning calls and emails. She met us on-site ahead of time to see the facility and ask questions. And on the day of the wedding, she was there, leading the set-up and quietly taking charge all day, keeping things running smoothly. You absolutely cannot go wrong having Shelley at your wedding!

to execute it all. Shelley is definitely that person. I can't put into words how valuable she was not only on our wedding day, but the months leading up. She gave great recommendations, thought of everything that I didn't, and truly put her heart, soul, blood, and sweat into pulling everything off. We had a very big wedding, and my husband and I had big ideas of grandeur for our big day, so this was truly not an easy task. She setup our venue and made everything look how we always imagined it, she corralled the bridal party, family members, and guests, she kept us on schedule, and made sure everyone had everything they needed. Everything went so fast that day that I never even had a chance to go to the bar to get drinks or water, but Shelley made several deliveries to us throughout the day to make sure we were taken care of. There's so much more as well, and so many personal touches that she puts into everything, but I'll just sum it up by saying I can't express the value that you get having Shelley on your team, and she is THE BEST to work with.

edibly thorough questionnaire that helped us conceptualize and point out any holes in our planning. She even met with us after our second walkthrough to go through any questions to make sure our day was perfect.
She started our wedding rehearsal with "I run a tight ship" (which made us very happy to hear) and that couldn't have been more true. She knew our event's timeline forward and backward and gave clear directions for entrances, placement, and cues. She controlled the crowd needed while still being polite, professional, and staying ahead of schedule! She took lead with the vendors the week of the wedding which took an enormous amount of communication off of our plates.
Her daughter needs an extra special call out for doing some amazing work helping us set up! (She definitely needs a pay raise! :) )
If you still think that a day-of coordinator is a luxury, it's not. IT IS ESSENTIAL! And Shelley is the best one for the job. She was on time, extremely prepared, and always went above and beyond with a smile. She takes an enormous amount of care making sure your day goes as if it were her own. Did I mention that she also has a HUGE decor store for brides to utilize? We don't plan to ever need to get married again, but if we do, it will be with Shelley Jefferson as my day of coordinator.

l like we got so much more than that. She has a selection of decor you can pick from (and it's gorgeous- we used quite a bit of it!) She also made my bouquets and boutonnieres (which we didn't think we'd have enough flowers for but Shelley made it work). Knowing she was there setting up and making sure everything ran smoothly allowed my husband and I to truly relax and enjoy our day. I feel lucky to have found her! She is incredibly budget friendly but even if you had all the money in the world to spend on a wedding coordinator I'd still recommend Bridal Wilde. L

s find vendors. She was there for the entirety of the wedding including setup and tear down (over 15 hours). Shelley was very responsive to phone calls, texts, and emails and accommodating to locations of events. She was also the only one at our wedding who managed to capture a video of our first dance! We had a beautiful wedding and were very grateful to have her there.

regnant with twins and all of my energy for wedding planning went right out the wedding. Thank goodness for Shelley! She coordinated with all of the vendors and I didn't have to talk to any of them on the day of. On the big day, I gave her a few decor items and pointed her to the venue's decor closet, and gave very vague ideas about the style I was going for. She totally ran with it and I can't believe how beautiful everything looked. To be honest, I went pretty cheap on decor, but she made it look like we spent WAY more on decorations than we really did.
Throughout out the day Shelley would magically appear with a glass of water or a little snack which was a godsend for a pregnant bride! I feel like the entire day went so smoothly, and I didn't have to deal with anything besides greeting my guests and having a good time. I know that Shelley took care of things behind the scenes, but she did such a good job that I am actually pretty oblivious to everything she did through out the day to make everything run smoothly... which honestly, I think is a mark of a great coordinator. She took care of all of the clean up. All we had to do was retrieve a few boxes after the clean up was done.
Overall, I was feeling overwhelmed by having a wedding while pregnant and low expectations for the day. The day turned out to be wonderful and very low stress for me, and I owe that to Shelley.

th and really listens to your ideas and brings them to life. She is dependable, honest and thoughtful and does whatever it takes make sure all things go as smoothly as possible. We had a very large wedding party and Shelley wrangled everyone (10 kids and 13 adults) and got us all down the aisle like it was nothing all while having a smile on her face!
I honestly can't even explain how helpful and kind she was. I would 100% recommend Shelley for any event you have! She is the BEST!
