For the past 25 years we have helped Charleston brides find their perfect dress while celebrating the best and most fun part of planning their wedding! Here we leave the stuffy, high-pressure situations of bridal shopping in the past and become your new bridal BFF. Our dress samples are always on full display so that the bride has full control of her appointment with the help, support, and guidance of an experienced and kind bridal consultant. Browsing and touching the wedding gowns is encouraged! Consider an appointment with us to be the ultimate dress-up experience. to a Facebook message I ALSO called the whole day before as well. They have read my messages and have done nothing to fix it. And to be fair, I never said “why” I had to cancel but all of a sudden they are messaging me saying congrats on finding your gown. I never once said I did, and they never asked me if I needed to reschedule or anything... I believe in customer service and I did give a notice. I attached pictures for proof as this isn’t even about the money, it truly is about the principal of what happened as YOUR COMPANY will charge a bride EVEN WHEN THEY DO give YOU a notice. Their emails also came to my spam. It’s truly not fair and more people deserve to know you will be taking their credit card before even visiting your store if you would like a weekend appointment. I’m a nice person, and tried to work this out with them but they clearly didn’t care by just not responding. They care about your money. Know that, and don’t book here.

Not once, did she ask me what style I was interested in or offer any assistance in trying to pick something for me. My mother and I grabbed a few gowns and put them in the dressing room. The consultant stood outside and told me to put the dress on, and to let her know if I needed any help. I then would come out to display myself and the gown, and the consultant just stood there not offering any advice or opinions. The gowns were pretty, but some of the gowns were in rough shape and I didn't feel like a bride while shopping here. It felt as though I was helping myself try on some nice white dresses.

I found the dress of my dreams. Fast forward to about 6 months later, I was waiting to hear if my dress had come in, having not heard anything yet, I gave the shop a call. Due to an oversight, they had missed the opportunity to call me to let me know my dress had arrived but they were very upfront and apologized for the mistake, offered to ship it to my home for free (I had since moved from Charleston), and even offered a very generous discount on the beautiful veil I had tried on with my gown. The management was quick to rectify their mistake without my asking, and I think that that makes them unique and helpful. We're all human and we all make mistakes, but the personable experience I had with Bridal's by Jodi, as well as their apt management of an oversight is what would make me choose them all over again and recommend them to any bride in the Charleston area. Also, their collection is beautiful and I was able to find a gorgeous gown in my fairly modest budget, but they definitely have higher end gowns as well, a wide range of options for a variety of budgets. They also offer discounts for purchasing the day-of your first visit so be ready to give serious consideration to purchasing your gown that day! I highly recommend Bridals by Jodi!

just wanting to take in wedding dresses in general to see if I knew what I would want. I met Rachel who asked if I wanted to try any on, which surprised me because I didn’t even have an appointment. She was so sweet and helpful, helping someone so clueless and I trusted her to find the dresses. I tried on two dresses that day and one of them made me cry. I went back a month later with my mom and bridesmaid and she snuck those two dresses into the try on pile again. I ended up getting that very first dress that made me cry and couldn’t have been happier. I still get compliments on my dress months later when people see pictures of it because it was so unique and I wish I could wear it all the time!! All of her recommendations in terms of shoes, hairpiece, belt, etc were so helpful and spot on and the seamstress they work with did wonderful alterations. They steamed my dress and had it ready for the wedding and did a wonderful job cleaning and preserving it!

later, I realized the train had to purchased separately. I was already crunched on time, so having to order train, I was scared it wasn't going to be here in time for my bridal portraits. Jodi's made sure it came in no later than a week after my dress and they even ordered the train for me at no extra charge because they did not catch the mistake earlier. They truly wanted to be sure that I had what I wanted!! Can't thank them enough.

dentally it was tax free weekend; win-win! My MOH and I made an appointment and I must have tried on about 7 dresses. I fell in love with a gorgeous, ivory MoriLee gown and also purchased a belt and veil. One thing I really liked about BBJ is that they didn’t try and pressure me into purchasing my Bridesmaids dresses there. I had asked about alternatives to David’s Bridal, but once I explained that my 7 Bridesmaids are scattered across 5 states and 2 continents, they agreed DB is the better and more convenient choice for us. That way every Bridesmaid has a chance to try on their dress and order it locally. I loved that! All about what’s best for the customer and not just about sales. It took about 5 months for my dress to come in and due to my hard work in the gym I had lost 18 lbs and 2 dress sizes. The ladies at Bridals by Jodi reassured me they have the best seamstress and Nadia absolutely lived up to her reputation. She took my final measurements about 6 weeks before my wedding and you couldn't even tell the dress was ever touched and it fit like a glove. Perfection! Our wedding was featured on Southern Bride’s Real Weddings and I am so excited for our vendors. They truly deserve it!

After going places where I only found one dress, that I kind of liked (but you only need one!), I was so delighted and relieved to have so many good options. All of the staff are very friendly and attentive, but never pushy. After I picked my dream dress, we went back and they helped pick the perfect color and style of bridesmaids dress for my girls! I had a slight challenge with the first seamstress I was paired with through their shop (we had different visions for the alterations of the dress), I contacted the store, they totally understood, and took care of everything to switch me to work with a different seamstress. I would recommend Nadia for alterations, she was very friendly, listened to what I wanted, and did a fantastic job. I recommend Bridals by Jodi to everyone I know!

back when I was searching for "the" dress, and Betsy offered me a 10% off coupon for me and my bridesmaids (even though it wasn't my first visit to the shop) for being so patient. When my scheduled seamstress fell ill on the day of my first dress fitting, which my mom had flown down for, Betsy and Jodi were able to fit me into the schedule of their other seamstress (Nadya) who was working over at their sister shop White on Daniel Island that same evening.
I am very happy to have found Bridals by Jodi. Betsy and Rachel were both extremely excited for me throughout the process, offered a lot of much-needed opinions and support when it came to fittings, hair, veil, jewelry etc. in helping me to envision myself on my wedding day. I highly recommend this shop!

A few months later when we went bridesmaid shopping, she had pulled out a sample of my wedding dress so we could visualize my dress next to the bridesmaid dresses. This made the process so much easier! All of the ladies at BBJ made me feel comfortable every visit, and even when my appointment was pushed back, they went above and beyond to put me at ease. I got married a week after Hurricane Matthew and Betsy called me to let me know their process of protecting the gowns, but also giving me the option to come get it before the expected arrival of the hurricane.
