Brides by Brady

Brady and her team were amazing. The trial was great, Brady came to my house and did my hair and makeup. She was efficient and organized and professional. Day of, she and her team did an amazing job with both hair and makeup on myself, my bridesmaids and the moms. They even did touch ups prior to leaving. We were a head of schedule and finished with an hour to relax. Brady and her team were amazing, would highly recommend to any other bride and even book again if I were to need professional glam.

We had an unbelievably bad experience with Brides by Brady. My daughter hired her to do her makeup for her rehearsal dinner and for her wedding the next day. She was scheduled to come to our North County home at 1:00 to do the makeup for the rehearsal, allowing 2 1/2 hours, we had to be at the church at 3:30. At 12:45 my daughter received an email from Brady stating that she was uncomfortable approaching our home and was going to have to cancel both that day’s appointment and the following day’s (her wedding day) appointment. She offered no alternative, just canceled. My daughter emailed her back within 2 minutes to which she got no response. She tried to call her immediately as well and got no answer. By now she is in tears and scrambling to figure out what to do, with now only 2 hours until rehearsal. My other daughter also tried to call her and also got no answer. Finally, her sister did receive a call back an hour after the original email. At this point they were already at Ulta buying makeup and preparing to do the makeup themselves. The person who called said he was Brady’s husband and suggested meeting a a hotel, by this point there was no time, plus the other vendors (hair and videographer) were coming to our home for the wedding, we couldn’t change at this point even if we wanted to. If Brady didn’t want to come to our house that’s certainly her choice, but the way she canceled was inexcusable and unprofessional. To have her husband finally respond an entire hour later after repeatedly attempting to contact her is ridiculous. She never has responded to my daughter (the bride) either by email or phone, only her husband replied to the brides sister. If someone would have told me that a professional could do this I would not have believed it. If you live in North County I would think twice before hiring this vendor.

I had an extremely negative experience with Brady. She is unprofessional, unorganized, and unreliable. She canceled on me the day before my wedding. She’s a bride’s worst nightmare come true. The communication was problematic from the start. After agreeing to do my makeup, she did not respond to my emails for days. Once I followed up with her, she informed me that she has a $1200 minimum. This minimum was unrealistic for me as it was only me needing my makeup done. The minimum was never communicated to me in the contract, on the website, or in our brief conversations. I told her I could not reach that price and would understand if she was not able to do my makeup. She agreed to do my makeup anyway, which I was grateful for. She agreed to come to my mom’s house where we were getting ready on the wedding day. She was also going to come to my mom’s house for my rehearsal dinner the day before. She had the location of my mom’s house, which is in North County, for more than 2 weeks. Only 15 minutes before my appointment, she sent me an email saying she felt “very uncomfortable” as she approached my mom’s house. She said she had to cancel both my trial appointment and my appointment for my wedding day. She bailed on me with less than 24 hours' notice for my wedding offering no other possible solutions. I immediately responded to the email asking if we could meet somewhere else close by. I also offered to wait outside and walk her in. She did not respond to this email at all. My sister attempted to call her with no response. I didn’t have any makeup with me since I assumed when Brady agreed to do my makeup that she would follow through. Apparently, you cannot assume this with Brady. My sister drove me to Ulta to buy new makeup. I was in tears the entire time. While we were there, an hour after my original appointment time, she had her husband call my sister! She was not even brave enough to face her problems on her own. We bought all new makeup and had to rush home to get ready for the rehearsal. As if this was not unprofessional enough, she then posted on her Instagram story gossiping about me. She claimed we called her names. This is untrue. We were upset, but we never got to speak with Brady herself! We only got to speak with her husband and expressed our dissatisfaction in a mature manner, unlike Brady. As a woman who has traveled alone, I can understand her concerns. I am not upset or offended over her expressing that she was uncomfortable, even last minute! The problem lies in how the situation was handled. Abandoning a bride the day before her wedding should never be a solution to the problem. As a makeup artist in STL, she should know the limits of where she is willing to go. Apparently, the North County area makes her very uncomfortable and does justify canceling with a bride the day before her wedding. I would have been happy to meet somewhere else if she told me about her concerns beforehand. Even when I tried to accommodate her, she did not respond to the email or answer the phone. No worries though, she’ll make sure her husband calls you back later when you’ve already been forced to make other arrangements. My other wonderful vendors who have seen her work in the past are no longer recommending her. I can’t imagine what I would have done had she canceled on my actual wedding day. It was an unbelievable display of unprofessional and unreliable behavior. No bride should be brought to tears the way I was the day before my wedding.

Brady is such a sweet breath of fresh air! She's hilarious, shows up early, and listens to you as her bride! She was easy going when I got sick and had to re-book my trial. She was so sweet to my whole bridal party.I would hire her again in a heartbeat.
