Nneka put her heart and soul in ensuring my day turned out beautiful with the perfect wedding dress! She knew what I wanted and delivered 1000%. I would definitely recommend Brides by Nona to all the would be brides out there. You can never go wrong!

Brides by Nona nearly ruined my daughter’s wedding. I wrote a longer review on Google but I will summarize here. We flew from New Jersey to Atlanta. My daughter’s measurements were taken personally by the owner. We have a huge deposit and we’re told we would receive updates. Weeks went by. No pics and no videos. Text were sent no message. Finally first fitting was set in August. Flights, hotel and rental cars was arranged. The day before we were scheduled to leave, we get a call to say there was a death. We were scheduled again a month later. Once again, a day before we were called and fitting was cancelled. At this point we are in a panic. We have gave thousands of dollars and still no fitting. Two weeks before the wedding we are scheduled to fly in. We get a call from an assistant the day before the flight. The dress has not been cleaned and it take 3 days!!!! Are you kidding me. The week of wedding on a Tuesday an assistant is sent to New Jersey for the first fitting since we did measurements in April. Guess what!!! Dress doesn’t fit. My daughter is crying and hysterical because her wedding is that Friday. Plus the detachable bottom is not what was sketched. It was actually a big ball of tulle that was sewn like a 3 year old made it. Dress is taken back and brought back Thursday, one day before the wedding. My daughter can now pull it up but can’t sit down. At this point we are stuck and have no choice but to use this dress. I think we were after thoughts behind the owners celebrity clients or her millionaire clients. We were willing to spend the same green money but were treated AWFUL. I suggest if you are an out of town bride, DON’T DO IT!!! The communication and business practices are HORRIBLE. Please don’t respond and say I am not telling the truth because I have video and text messages. I would say more, but let this be your warning.

Elegance, Exquisite, Bespoke Gown, Luxury Brides By Nona designed and created my bespoke wedding gown which was simply perfection. The elegance, exquisiteness, beauty, detailing and creativity were superb and like none other. Brides by Nona delivered! My gown was unforgettable and there was no question that I was the Bride. Nneka and her team were top tier, professional, easily accessible and friendly. If you want a luxurious and timeless look I would highly recommend Brides by Nona as they never disappoint.

I contacted bridesbynona two weeks before my wedding in tears after I was disappointed by another designer. Told her that she can simply design any dress for me and that I didn’t care since time wasn’t on our side. I was speechless when I saw the masterpiece digital design she sent to me. It took a while to accept the that fact this new design was going to be MY dress. I am so grateful for Ms. Nneka not only for designing the most amazing dress but for also having a heart of gold. She took her time to speak with me on the phone when I first contacted her and assured me that it will all work out. She listened to me vent and cry which she didn’t have to do. Amazing! I felt so beautiful in my dress. There was a small issue with getting my final fitting completed in Atlanta but Nneka flew to me and fit me at my home.

My overall experience with Nona was absolutely amazing, when I first saw her Instagram page I instantly knew I had wanted her to design me a wedding dress. I had actually already said yes to the dress that I picked out in New York, however after making a consultation with Nona immediately after I canceled the purchase. Nona literally brought all my Ideas to life, first with a sketch and then as an actual gown. She not only designed my wedding gown but my reception dress as well and they were equally beautiful. My husband was in tears as he seen me walk down the aisle, our wedding was a month ago and he still talks about the dress daily. Nona is highly professional a sweetheart and she makes you feel very comfortable, this was very important to me because she has designed gown for many celebrity clients. Nona actually was recently in touch with me to help me sell my veil to one of her brides. I could literally go on and on about my experience with Nona but to sum it all up if you’re looking for a Couture gown to wow everyone don’t hesitate to contact her! Again my experience with her was truly a dream come true!

There are very few words in the dictionary that can express how much the creation that Nneka made means to me. I was above and beyond pleased with how my dress came out. I simply asked for a one of kind that lit up the room and she created me a dress that lit up the universe! She's amazing at what she does. In absolute awe of Nneka’s work!! She was a delight to work with, and really tailored the dress to my liking. When I saw it, I cried. Her skill is unmatched! Where do I begin when it comes to Nneka Alexander (Brides by Nona). I was introduced to Nona by my amazing wedding planner Shollah(uniqueeventsbyshollah) and the experience has been magical. I’m a bride who doesn’t like to follow trends, therefore my wedding dress had to be unique, and boy did she give me unique. My dress is one of a kind that it has been featured in articles, blogs, and global websites in it’s first week. That is because of the visionary that is, Bride by Nona. Just when you think she cannot make a dress more beautiful than the last, she knocks it out of the park with my incredible wedding dress. All this was done during a pandemic 😷. She is a perfectionist and has an impeccable eye like no other. It’s not just about the dress, Nneka actually takes the time to recommend how the bride should be styled from hairstyle, accessories, shoes, to the type of bouquet that will compliment your dress. Which other designer do you know that takes the time to capture the entire look you envisioned for your day?. Let’s face it... Planning a wedding is stressful! Imagine planning a wedding during a pandemic. 😩 If you’re a perfectionist like me selecting a dress sent my anxiety through the roof. From day one, Nneka listened to my likes and dislikes in what I desired in my dress. At my first consultation she literally sketched dress ideas right in front of me! I was absolutely sold. I imagined a unique dress that would be a SHOWSTOPPER with a lot of bling. Bridesbynona always got right back to me. Answered every question. Even the ones not related to my dress lol I know some of the things she helped with was not in her job description. Apparently she’s also a therapist lol When I received my finished dress it was more than I could of dreamed. The swarovski crystals throughout the dress are breathtaking! She nailed the train with the length and dramatics I never knew I needed lol Quality is perfection! No alterations needed! I highly recommend! Everyone loved my dress!

There is so much to say about @BridesByNona. I knew Nneka Alexandra was doing my wedding dress before there was any reason to be thinking of a wedding. Before I even knew who the groom was, the date of the wedding, the location of the wedding or anything about the wedding. While prayerfully day dreaming @BrideByNona has been my dress maker of choice for YEARS! Fast forward to a wedding coming to fruition. I actually meet Nneka. She’s a dream. True professional. She didn’t make me feel like a client but a friend. I felt like I’d know her for years. I even call her for personal advice, she becomes that accessible to her customers. In the beginning I knew I wanted a modest dress and I knew I wanted a ball gown. Originally, I had sent Nneka inspirational pictures of the type of dress I wanted. Then a few days after meeting her I called her and told her that GOD had told me to give her creative control. I asked her to pray and let GOD guide her in what type of dress to make for me. I never asked her about the dress again. In fact when my wedding planner would ask what my dress looked like I’d tell him that I didn’t know. He’d give me a weird look and say “Ebe what kind of bride doesn’t know what her dress looks like at this point.” I always ended up laughing because he was correct. I didn’t know. I didn’t care. I wasn’t bothered. I trusted the HOLY SPIRIT within Nneka and I knew HE would NEVER steer us wrong. Behold the masterpiece! When the dress emerged it was fit for a Queen. Not a princess any longer but a Queen. I cannot lie at first I pondered if I’d be able to pull this off. The dress was more than I could have ever imagined. It exceeded all expectations. Anyone could see that this dress was divinely touched. And it was for me! I was wedding the best man in creation and now I’d have the best dress ever created. It seemed too much. But that’s the mighty GOD we serve. Just like JESUS said, “with GOD nothing is impossible”. I am living testimony. After the creation of the dress Nneka along with my twin sister @babelbeauty and a sister friend @lindabenjamin helped decide the hairstyle that would accompany this sensational dress. My original vision would not suit a dress so grand. That’s how the updo was born. So @bridesbyNona didn’t just stop at my dress she ensured that all went well. Nneka flew into Houston to dress me. When she arrived she took control. I loved it. She didn’t come to play she came to help. I’ll forever appreciate that. To sum her up she’s an extraordinary visionary. Her creative abilities are orchestrated by GOD. She’s an executor. She meets deadlines and does exactly what she says she will do. And she’s kind, easy to talk to and easily accessible. I’m grateful for my season with @BridesbyNona and I pray that Nneka and I will remain life long friends.

Before meeting my now husband, I always knew bridesbynona would be making my dress. That dream came through last week when I walked down the isle with her amazing design. I don't know how she did it just 2 weeks after giving birth, but All I can is thank you.

The best experience a bride could have! I contacted Brides by NoNA all the way from St. Vincent and The Grenadines. I was VERY skeptical being so far away but after seeing much of their work I decided to give it a shot. I sent an e-mail (still skeptical) and they responded to my e-mail that same day which impressed me! Their e-mail was extremely thorough (which any bride who has used them before can attest to) so I felt a little more comfortable with them. The owner Neka was very professional and accessible whenever I needed her and she is a brilliant designer. She worked with em to understand exactly I was wanted and she brought my vision to life. My dress was perfect in every sense of the word! I cannot brag enough about this company but just give them a try and you will not be disappointed. Everyone at my wedding couldn't stop talking about my dress and they still talk about it! Very, very satisfied bride here!

Working with Nneka and her team was an absolute dream come true! She executed my bridal gown to the fullest. From the first time we met and from all the fabulous gowns she made, I knew I was in good hands. I came all the way from Brooklyn, NY to work with her in Atlanta. We had three face to face interactions and talked via phone or text as needed. She was patient and made sure to listen to all my request. My experience with BridesByNona was nothing short of EXCEPTIONAL. Nneka designed the wedding gown of my dreams and I couldn’t be more happier. She pays close attention to detail by incorporating every single element of what you want in the final dress. To say I was blown away would be an understatement. What meant the most to me is when Nneka said she will make any tweak to my dress until I absolutely fall in love with it and she did not disappoint. My wedding dress fit my body so well everyone kept telling me that it looked like the dress was molded on my body. Dropped in Swarovski crystals she made me feel like a celebrity star out of a magazine and Cinderella all at once and I will never forget that feeling on my wedding day. You will be making a huge mistake by not going with BridesByNona for your bespoke custom wedding gown. I recommend BridesByNona a million times over.!!

Nneka is amazing!! I could not find anything I liked in any bridal store. With my body type, the fit was always off and the dresses always lacked something. I reached out to her, and after the initial consultation, I just knew that it be a perfect match! I am so glad I did. I was a VERY particular bride and wanted some specific details. But Nneka absolutely delivered. My dress was beyond amazing, so special, more than I could have imagined! The fit! Oh the fit! Wow, it couldn't have been more perfect. So happy with it!

Beautiful work and designs! But-- professionalism and business practices not so much. I was soooo excited to work with Brides by Nona (I knew I wanted to use them way before I got engaged). From the very beginning I should have saw the signs. No emails returned, no calls returned, my mom/myself/and moh literally had to chase the down. I ended up not using them for my bridesmaid dresses (was so sad) because by the time they got back to us it was too late. Used them for my 2nd reception outfit--they weren't ready when I came to ATL for my fitting. She shipped to my house and never followed up on fit, I had to get/pay someone else to alter it since they weren't ready when I was in ATL. I ended up literally throwing the outfit in the trash the night of the wedding it was terrible ($1000+ literally in the trash). I'm pretty sure my outfit was made in 1 week (I could tell) even thought I reached out 10 months in advance. Designs are great, but business is ran poorly. I met several other brides with the same story (so sad). Don't be fooled by 100K Instagram followers--doesn't mean the professionalism is 100%.

Nneka is a phenomenal wedding gown designer. I was referred to Nneka by a friend who had an amazing experience with Nneka and spoke highly of her level of professionalism. After visiting multiple well known bridal shops in New York City and not finding what I wanted, I decided to contact Nneka for a custom made gown. I was extremely pleased with the final product and would do it all over again. Nneka was very organized and detail oriented and brought my vision to life. She created my wedding dress as well as my second dress. Both dresses were breathtaking and it was quite obvious that Nneka had spent quite a bit of time with the beading as it was a very intricate design. Not to mention that this was all done within an eight week period during the height of wedding season. No other wedding shop would accommodate me without charging a ridiculously high price. Nneka’s fees were also very reasonable and she is more than willing to work with any budget. My wedding day was perfect and I thank Nneka for all her hard work. I absolutely LOVE my dresses and I would definitely use BridesbyNona in the future!

Brides by NONA hands down is the BEST!!!!! I can’t even put into words the amazement of my experience with Nneka aka Kaka. From the moment I said YESS!!! to my King, the planning for my dream dress began and Kaka was there to walk me through it regardless of her busy schedule. She collaborated with me to create a wedding dress that was only envisioned or imagined, and she brought it to life. I craved for a classic, graceful, timeless elegance gown and she gave it to me. I had the most beautiful dress ever and it was worth every dime!!!! The dress came out super beautiful than sketched. I felt unquestionably Beautiful, I looked like a million bucks! I was floating on air!!!! I have an appreciation for her meticulous understanding of my desires, and my body type. I love her method of easing my anxiety and allowing me breath during the creative process by offering a diverse selection of styles thereby showing her uniqueness to each client is distinctive and impeccable. I ordered my wedding gown and bridesmaids dresses from Nneka and her team because I was a bridesmaid for a wedding where she made the bride's gown and our bridesmaids dresses two years ago. The quality of all the dresses came out great and so I said she MUST make mine when the time comes. I DO NOT REGRET my decision at all. All our gowns were BEAUTIFUL and perfectly made. Nneka was so professional and very accomodating of all our demands (and they were many!). She has a brilliant design mind for sure and I personally think she is the best in the custom wedding gown industry so far. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Brides by NoNA. Just give her a call and speak with her for 5 seconds and you will see what I mean. THE BEST!

Brides By Nona made my wedding reception dress and it was BEYOND my expectation. For me, I wanted an explosion of color incorporated in my reception dress, and she was in full agreement. Her professionalism and passion for her work blossomed in the consultation call. It only took 5 minutes of the call for me to realize "yeah, this woman is IT". Throughout the process, Nneka made me feel more than a client, but a friend. As soon as I saw the sneak peek of my dress, I, literally, squealed at work. Her attention to detail is IMPECCABLE!!! I just received my wedding gown and I am beyond EXCITED!!!!! It is EVERYTHING I dreamed of and more! Nneka really brought my ideas to life...REAL LIFE! I am over the moon excited with joy! I got engaged in August of 2016 and the sheer excitement of it got me started on dress shopping immediately! I was on cloud 9 to say the least, but my excitement quickly died down when all the dresses I tried on at SEVERAL bridal stores just did not look right on me. I was so disappointed that I put my wedding planning on hold. I didn't want to see or hear anything wedding related. My friend then suggested that I get my dress custom made and I thought that was a horrible idea. Custom made sounded so much like "home made" and one thing I feared worse than an ill-fitted dress was a dress that looked like it was made by an amateur! She referred me to Brides by Nona and after viewing much of her work online I decided to give her a call just to talk to her. In my mind I was sure I was NOT going to have a custom dress made. I spoke to Nneka the owner and she explained her entire process, provided sketches of my gown and had me come in for a professional consultation where she took VERY detailed measurements of my body for the making of the gown. I was super impressed. Fast forward to February 2017 when I got the call that my dress was ready for a fitting, you can only imagine the chills that went through my body. At my fitting is burst into tears literally. My dress was exactly as sketched. The quality is perfect and the detail was beyond my imagination. I was blown away!!!! She only took two weeks from my first fitting to get the dress looking perfect on me and then I was ready to walk down the aisle in March. All my guests were in awe of my gown. Several of my friends have said they will use Brides by Nona for their gowns too. I had to take the time to write this up because Nneka deserves this and MORE!! My only advise to future brides considering using Brides by Nona is to start early. Nneka is very busy so it is hard to get a hold of her but once you get her you will NOT be disappointed! In my opinion, she is the best and she knows her stuff! Try her!

Nneka is absolutely AMAZING! I was dead set on having her make my wedding gowns and i was not disappointed. I have never felt as beautiful in any dress as i did in the gowns she made for me. Not only did i dazzle on my wedding day, i felt regal as well and it was all thanks to Nneka. You would definitely be pleased in anything she designs for you.

Nneka is a very talented and wonderful designer. She made my reception dress and my bridesmaids dresses for my May 2016 wedding. She was very kind throughout the process and made sure that she had my best interest at heart. I had absolutely no alterations needed for my reception dress which was a complete blessing and she made me feel like a queen! I would highly recommend her if you want a one of a beautiful gown for your big day.

My bridesmaids had the best gowns ever and I had the best wedding reception gown made. I couldn't have a fitting so my dress was mailed to me and it was a PERFECT fit. I was extremely nervous about that but it all worked out seamlessly. The bridesmaids needed minor alterations to their dresses but nothing out of the ordinary that they didn't expect. I am completely happy with this vendor and will recommend her to everyone!

My wedding isn't till next month but I just received my Brides by NoNA gown and not only does it fit like a glove but the quality is top notch! I am excited out of my mind and I am counting the days (more like STALKING the days) till I show off my gown!!! It is the most beautiful gown I have seen and trust me I have seen a LOT of gowns. I had a big wedding (350 guests) and an equally big bridal party with 10 bridesmaids. My wedding was a black tie affair and so I wanted classy gowns for my bridesmaids. I shopped several boutiques but they all had THE SAME bridesmaids dress which were very boring and really limited! I knew I had to have my bridesmaids in custom gowns and a friend recommended Brides by Nona (best decision EVER!!!). I met with Nneka and she understood exactly what I wanted and sketched out my vision. My wedding was last month and ALL my guests kept raving about the bridesmaids dresses. They were unique, perfectly fitted and the quality was exceptional! One advise I would give to brides about this designer is to be sure to start the process early (at least 3 months in advance) because Nneka does get very busy. Other than that, I was extremely pleased with the dresses and the quality of service I received. The best in the custom game by far!

Nneka is very professional and i believe she cares about her clients. I changed my mind so many times on my order due to personal circumstances but she stayed patient, friendly and accommodating throughout the process. The quality of my bridesmaids dresses were AMAZING!!!! and I've still got people raving about them(especially my bridesmaids who were skeptical at first since some didn't know about her) so you are in very capable hands. If I could describe Brides by Nona using one word, I would say PERFECTION! From the initial consultation to production to the fittings and the final delivery. Everything was perfecthe and my gowns were absolutely gorgeous. She is a bit pricey but it is so worth every penny....trust me! My gowns are beautiful!

I got to know about Brides by Nona from several wedding blogs and wedding magazines. I always knew I wanted my wedding gown to be custom made but it was so hard finding a designer that could understand my vision for my dress. After my first consultation with Nneka, I was relieved! She completely understood me. She put her creative spin on my ideas and designed a gown even better than what I wanted. I had just one fitting and my gown fits PERFECTLY! It hugs every curve on my body exactly as I imagined and the bead work on it is simply immaculate! I am beyond happy with my dress and I will say this to all brides out there, if you have heard of Brides by Nona and you are in doubt about her work just give her a call. After that first phone call you will understand why I HAD to have her make my gown. My wedding was this past weekend and everyone is still talking about how beautiful my gown was (almost one week later). I am still over the moon at how Nneka was able to bring my vision to life! I was one of those brides that didn't really know what I wanted but I knew I would know THE DRESS when I saw. I contacted Brides by NoNA to make a custom wedding gown and several months and fittings later I am IN LOVE with my gown. The quality is exceptional and the service I received was great! Nneka is such a sweet lady. She answered all my questions and put my fears to rest. I felt comfortable with her and trusted her completely. I will recommend Brides by NoNA to any bride still contemplating using this company. Best wedding gown ever!!!

I believe this designer does great work but lacks in communication. As I understand running a business can sometimes be hectic, it takes the designer a long time to return emails and/or phone calls. Due to this, I looked elsewhere for a dress. Besides that, I believe she is a nice lady but needs to do better with communication.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!! Do not, I repeat DO NOT put your trust in this lady's hands for your special day. Very inconsistent, and does not follow through with time frames that SHE sets in place. She will lie about the production of your dress or just flat out won't make it period.

"I had heard about Brides by Nona but being the picky bride that I am, I was very skeptical and paranoid about ordering anything online. I then attended my good friend's wedding at the beginning of this year and I loved her wedding gown so much. When I asked where she purchased it from she responded that it was custom made by Brides by Nona. This was my first time seeing a dress ip from Brides by Nona in person so I took a VERY critical look at the design, construction, fit and quality, I must say I was impressed but still skeptical. So I decided to book a consultation with Nneka in person. I was blown away. She is very intelligent about fabrics and design. I ordered my wedding gown and my bridesmaids dresses from her. Fast forward three months later, I have all dresses with me and I am VERY pleased! The quality is out of this world and the fit for my gown is perfect! So far two of my bridesmaids have been able to fit their dresses and they fit perfectly too. Eagerly awaiting the others to fit theirs. I am so excited about MY gown I can't wait for my wedding day. The process was great with Nneka. She really took her time to answer my questions and alleviate my fears. Thank you so much Nneka. I am not totally over to my fear of making online purchases because not every business is accountable like a Brides by Nona, but I will MOST DEFINITELY recommend Brides by Nona to ANYONE contemplating using her. Just give her a call and you'll ne'er stand what I mean. She never rushes you off the phone like some vendors do. She spends time with you and I loved that! "

My perspective is that of a bridesmaid who paid $320 for my dress. Let me begin by saying the experience I had was nothing short of deplorable and the quality of the dress I received was unacceptable for the amount of money I paid. Not only was the dress not made per my Brides request, when we spoke with Nneka to discuss what did not meet expectations, myself and other bridesmaids were met with disdain, flippant and blatantly disrespectful comments. While I understand that Nneka felt she only needed to please the bride, what she failed to understand was that I (and the 8 other bridesmaids) paid for our dresses (not the bride) and therefore we were as much her customer as, if not more than, the bride. I do not doubt that other people have gotten great results, however I believe the timeframe in which Nneka had to complete our dresses was not enough time for her to execute them to the standard one would expect. I don't believe Nneka should have accepted this commission knowing that she would not be able to execute the dresses properly. Furthermore, even after a fitting that was late due to slow production my final dress was still ill-fitting. I am 5'0 and the dress was supposed to be hi-low; the proportions were way off and the hi part of the dress that we requested to hit above the knee (initially and at the fitting) came down to my ankles. Additionally, the arm hole was too small and the welt that was left under my arm took several days to resolve due to the dress cutting into my arm for 6 hours! Overall, I feel this dress was nowhere near what I was led to expect and am very disappointed in the service as well as the final product. I feel that Nneka would tell us things in order to appease us in the moment but never implemented the things that were discussed in the final dress. I will continue to not recommend this vendor and tell all my colleagues to find a different vendor.
