The selection is unparalleled and Faith was the best bridal consultant I could have hoped for. She asked the all right questions and listened to my vision, ultimately pulling the perfect dresses to try on. She was so patient throughout the appointment as we were FaceTiming in my sister and bestie who live out of town. Faith was so creative and went above and beyond helping me customize and assemble my final look. She even called a designer and specially requested a piece that was not available, making my dream look a reality! The BBY team explained the ordering process thoroughly and even gave recommendations for alterations. Faith and the entire BBY team's expertise, selection and customer service are impeccable! They made what could have been anxiety inducing experience absolutely perfect and memorable. If you are looking for your dream look for your wedding, RUN DON'T WALK, to Brides by Young!

I ended up selecting the first dress my wonderful consultant, Lori, pulled after we chatted about my vision and what I was thinking. It was unique and unexpected and the perfect dress for me.

The bra gave me an hourglass shape that contributed to me feeling so comfortable and confident in every dress we tried. I said yes to the dress and it was so easy I cannot believe it. within my budget. It was a hard choice because she did a great job picking them but I ended up going with the first one she had me try on! I felt like a princess and I felt comfortable the whole time- I loved that I didn't have to worry about the samples being too small for me (street size 18/20, bridal size 22/24). She also helped me pick a beautiful veil to go with the dress. There was plenty of room for my mom and three friends to comfortably see the dresses I tried on and the person I was working with was very attentive to how I was feeling and did a great job fielding other people's reactions. She also helped me find the perfect bra to go with my dress!

dresses on the floor but there was only one that sort of fit my ask. A lot of the dresses were kind of over the top and looked a little cheap (but were not cheap). We also felt more pressure here than any other place we visited. There was one dress I sort of liked but my entourage was not so into it. They didn’t say anything negative, they just weren’t fawning over it. Later, I found out the sales person was shaming them when I went back to change telling them they needed to be more supportive… but I truly wanted their opinions and had told them so before we went shopping. I get that they want to protect the bride (especially a plus sized bride) but I was there for an experience with MY people, not the sales person. And I really feel it was more about wanting to make a sale than actually helping me find the best dress for me. When I didn’t like the dresses they put me in, I felt a bit of impatience from the sales person, something I didn’t feel anywhere else I went. One more thing that maybe other brides like but just wasn’t me…they kept trying to put me in corsets and restrictive undergarments which were really uncomfortable. If we’re going for body positivity, I’m not sure squeezing me to death is the way to go. Other stores I went to helped me find dresses that complimented my shape rather than tried to change it. TLDR: It was fine. I’m glad they exist, it just wasn’t my vibe. I would highly suggest Rare Bridal Bar in Milwaukee. It’s a bit of a drive but was everything this experience wasn’t.

Lori was my consultant and she picked dresses for me based on what we discussed, provides a corset bra, helps you try on all the dresses (no friend assist necessary) and takes your measurements. There are dresses at various different price points too -just be sure to tell them your budget before they start pulling. I was able to find my dress in one visit -- highly recommend Brides by Young!

At the end of the day it was up to me to find the exact style I was wanting. Bonnie put me at ease about the whole process and I can’t wait for everyone to see my dress. I will recommend this shop to anyone who asks me where I got my dress! This shop gave me the exact experience I always imagined wedding dress shopping would be like. It was such a wonderful day. d my dream dress and would have to settle. However, thanks to BBY I found my dream dress and feel like a princess!! I had an appointment scheduled for 12/27/23 and after traveling to visit my family for the holidays from Ohio, I was beyond nervous to go fresh shopping. I knew what I liked but I had zero clue how they would look on me. With my mom, sister and grandma with me we went to another bridal shop before visiting BBY. That experience literally crushed my spirit. It was my first time ever trying on dresses and I was left alone in the dressing room to put the dresses on myself and then when I was ready to go show my family the stylist was nowhere to be found. I started to panic and walked out myself. The dresses weren’t really what I was looking for and the sizes were very limited. So we left, but I felt hopeless and hesitant to continue on to BBY. Between appointments we stopped for some coffee and regained our spirits. Upon entering BBY the vibe was completely different from the first store. The stylist at the front was very friendly and greeted us and let us look around at the dresses while we waited. Turns out the girl who greeted us, Nicole was my stylist for the day and she was amazing!! Not only did the store provide me with a proper bra to get the right feel for the dresses but she stayed with me the entire time!! Not only was she helpful in guiding me towards certain dresses but I felt like I was really heard. She helped simplify the process by having me rate the dresses 1-10 on how they made me feel. She was also an amazing hype woman!! I felt so comfortable and at ease with her!! I don’t remember how many I tried on at BBY, but I tried on 21 total between the two stores and ended up picking the third dress I tried on at BBY. And it was even better than I imagined!! I literally cried because I had never felt so pretty and I honestly didn’t think I’d ever feel that way about my wedding dress. Then they put the perfect veil on and put my hair up and it was all over from there!! I can’t say enough amazing things about this place!! I am so beyond happy that I booked an appointment with them and trusted them to help me find my wedding dress!! The Schaumburg team is amazing and Nicole was a godsend!! If you’re a plus sized woman and are questioning if you’ll have to settle for a wedding dress, DON’T!! Got to Brides by Young, you will NOT regret it!!! Thank you BBY for making my dreams come true!!!

t fears! We flew from Cleveland to Chicago to go to this Botique as it was one of the few that had alternative dresses as I didn’t want white. My stylist Gonca was amazing. She made me feel heard and so comfortable before we even started trying on gowns. I had printed out pictures from their site prior which she went thru and pulled all that were available. We had actually saw a new dress in the window before the store opened which was nothing like my pictures and wanted to try it on. She didn’t hesitate to get it for us and it was actually a dress she put in the window the night before and that was the dress! I felt so amazing in this dress the moment I got in to it. We tried on all the others and she was so kind thru out it all even when I got a dress on half way and the feel of it was bothering me so much I said I need out of this and she was like absolutely and got me out so quickly. Everything fit and I felt good it all the dresses. It was beyond a magical experience!

ly went to Brides by Young, expecting the same "plus size" style dresses I had seen everywhere. The first dress that I tried on was the one that I bought. I was initially uncomfortable that my rep looked like a size 0 (at a plus size store?) but she instantly made me comfortable and it was easy to move past that lol. My only complaint was that I did feel pressed to purchase my dress on my first "exploratory trip" which I did. It gave me a lot of anxiety while waiting for the dress that I made a decision that fast. But the dress came and I still loved it, so all is good :) Their recommended seamstress Aynur was also the absolute best and altered my dress from a Bridal 22 to about a Bridal 16/18.

I was blown away by the level of service and care provided by Alyson and the whole Brides by Young team! With Alyson’s styling, I tried on 7 of the most gorgeous gowns, each making me look and feel spectacular. The gown I selected showed such intricate detail and was one-of-a-kind. It made me feel like a princess on the happiest day of my life! Thank you so much for giving me this unforgettable experience!

Since I was about an hour and a half away I called the store ahead of time to see if they had what I was looking for before I made the drive. The ladies at the store were so helpful and convinced me it was worth the drive. And I am so happy they did! Not only did I find my dress but I was able to try it on in my exact size. It was so nice to be able to realllly see what i was getting without all the clips and bands. I would 1000% suggest checking them out!

s. I think we both knew when I put on the one! I tried other dress places, and this one had the most amazing selection of plus sized gowns. All of them fit, and I didn't feel judged for being a bigger bride. I am suggesting this place to friends who are engaged for anyone size 16 and above!

She was very knowledgeable and overall great to work with. She made the experience what it was for me! They communicated very well before I even went in, called ahead, and explained the process and what to do to prepare for the appointment, too. I did find my dress there, and they explained the process with me thoroughly and made sure I got copies of everything. Overall, the experience was amazing, I felt confident and comfortable the entire time, which made the experience that much more enjoyable.
