We can't find adequate words of praise to describe Kathryn and the job she did as our officiant. I doubt you can find anyone nicer or more caring. When we met we visited for quite awhile, and she really listened as was evidenced by the funny little stories about us she included throughout the ceremony. Our friends were surprised to learn she was not a lifelong family friend. She really is the best!

Kathryn Siefert was absolutely AMAZING! We couldn't have asked for a better officiant for our special day! We loved her and she made sure everything was perfect the way we wanted it. She also made us feel so comfortable during rehearsal and the day of the ceremony. We recommend her 10/10! We chose her from another recommendation.

Kathryn officiated my son's wedding and we were delighted with her services and the ceremony she wrote. She is professional, user-friendly and approachable. Cannot recommend highly enough! Kathryn was such a joy to get to work with. From our first meeting, she made us both feel comfortable around her and she took time to get to know our story and what was important to us. As we opted for a non-denominational ceremony, she was able to provide us with a few sample ceremony readings to look over. We took those, along with some of our own ideas, and cobbled together a beautiful ceremony reading that truly reflected us as individuals and as a couple. Kathryn's delivery was perfect, just the right combination of warm and feisty. Guests were very complimentary as well.

Choosing Kathryn was the best decision we made for our wedding! I loved our ceremony. We got to sit down with her and customize the details beforehand. And since we felt pretty clueless on what we wanted at first, Kathryn just took over and laid out several options for us. She was very quick to respond by email and send drafts of the ceremony. Several guests came up to me after the wedding and complimented her officiating. She had people in happy tears and then laughing moments later. It was perfect.

I don't know where to begin..... you just can't go wrong with Kathryn. She is warm and inviting and puts everyone around her at ease. She's very professional and organized and truly cares about making your day special. We were 100 % pleased with her from start to finish. It felt more like she was a friend than just our officiant. Kathryn was so wonderful to work with! Neither my (now) husband or I are religious at all and we knew whoever we worked with would need to be someone who understood and could work with that. We met a few other folks who refused to take out any religious language so I was somewhat frustrated by the time we met with Kathryn. We actually met at Sitwells near UC's campus and as soon as we walked in she picked us out, citing "I can always pick a bride out of a crowd." She is funny and warm and stayed well in communication. I'm sure she was working with other couples around the same time, but she made us feel like we were the only ones she was with. I recommend her highly to anyone who needs an officiant!

Kathryn was so great to work with! We left our first meeting with her feeling like we has known her for years. She provided us with lots of ceremony ideas to consider which allowed us to could create the perfect ceremony for us. She was very flexible with us when we decided to change our ceremony location to under the Roebling Bridge within a few weeks of the wedding. Kathryn was very professional and helpful throughout the whole process and we would highly recommend her to others!

I have re-told the story of how we met our officiant to basically every person I know. That is because of how amazing Kathryn was. My husband and I were struggling to find an officiant. When we met with Kathryn, we had just come off a meeting with a different officiant who was awful and I was not hopeful. The original guy we wanted was way out of our budget and I was just afraid that nothing would work for us. But I was so wrong. When we walked into Panera, I saw a woman sitting at a table with sunglasses and a smile. She nodded at me and my now husband slowly, but he and I continued into Panera searching for Kathryn. It took us about 2 minutes to realize the woman who nodded was her. Right away, we connected. She got us as a couple from the first moments and even had connections to my home town of Tucson, AZ! We talked about so many things for almost three hours -- I can't even recall what, but I left that meeting and called my Mom, insisting that I have Kathryn as our officiant. We loved her and we knew. The ceremony she wrote for us was bright, beautiful, funny and perfectly us. She really talked to us to figure out what we wanted to be expressed. As far as business things go, wow! She was quick to answer any questions I had and would even email me just to see how Ben and I were progressing in our planning. I can't express enough just how perfect she was and how thankful I am that she was the one who married us.

I highly recommend Kathryn Seifert if you are looking for an officiant that truly gets to know you and wants to make your ceremony personal to you as a couple. Kathryn was incredibly accommodating and easy to work with. As a laid back bride, I allowed her to take the reins and helped me to design the perfect ceremony. I had no idea what I was wanting for our ceremony (I had never done this whole wedding thing before!) and she assisted me through the steps. The ceremony was more beautiful than I ever imagined and I am so glad she was the one who married us. There wasn't a stranger marrying us, I actually felt like we had a friend there helping us to make the most important decision in our lives. Our guests certainly agreed with us and loved the ceremony just about as much as we did. If we ever do a vow renewal ceremony, Kathryn will be the first person I call!

I loved working with Kathryn. She is an amazing woman and did a wonderful job with our ceremony! She included all the right things and had many options in wording/ passages for us to choose from. We really had no idea what our ceremony would be like until we met with Kathryn, and she had everything so planned out and organized it made it really easy for us to choose what was right for us. She wrote up our ceremony and I was able to look at it and change it whenever I wanted! Nothing was totally finalized until the rehearsal when my mind had to be made up! I planned my wedding in Newport Kentucky from Anchorage Alaska, and I waited a little too long to find an officiant, but that didn't stop me from trying to find someone who was worth marrying me and my husband. Kathryn Siefert was amazing, very knowledgeable and lots of great ideas (since I had never done this before :)) she was a world of knowledge and something about her is care-free and calming. I told her we wouldn't be doing a rehearsal and changed my mind and Kathryn worked it out to where she could be there, last second. She is really good about rolling with the punches. I would highly recommend Kathryn Siefert, of Brides of Cincinnati as your wedding officiant. I couldn't be MORE pleased with her service and how great she was to work with! Kathryn has vast experience and was able to provide so many great examples of wedding ceremonies she had performed and gave my groom and I some really great ideas and direction on how we wanted our ceremony to go as we had no idea. It was a huge help! Kathryn is extremely professional but also so down to earth and easy to work with. When I first met Kathryn, a month or so before our wedding, I felt like I was meeting with someone I knew for years, I was fabulous! The good thing about Kathryn is she is extremely flexible and will continually remind you that no wedding is the same and do whatever makes you happy or what you want to do. Kathryn wrote a beautiful, personalized ceremony for us; even after a month, we're still getting compliments on it. Her personality and sense of humor made things so easy and we loved working with her. We highly recommend her!

We were losing hope: We met with 2 officiants before Kathryn and they were dreadful. So when Kathryn’s meeting came along I was both officiant-leery and –weary, but she was a refreshing change. She was easy-going and delightful to talk to; we talked for hours. We talked about everything from the wedding, to our personal grad school experiences, to our pets, to our shared love of old cars (ask to see the picture of her Mustang), to FI’s and my families – it was wonderful! After the 2.5 hours, just off the top of her head, she gave me her idea for a personalized introduction to the ceremony and I was amazed: she had incorporated the funny, sweet parts of our story into an impromptu ceremony intro right at our meeting. She was the perfect fit and I hired her on the spot - and haven’t regretted the decision one bit. She created a lovely ceremony and made sure every word of it met with our approval. We had a small wedding with a somewhat conservative budget and we considered Kathryn’s fee very reasonable, falling mid-range within the scope of what other officiants charge. However unlike other officiants, with her there’s no charge for rehearsal, no charge for mileage, and she makes no time constraints/charges: a pretty sweet deal, especially if you’re watching your budget. We planned our wedding from out of town, so I did most of my research online, reading reviews. Kathryn Siefert's name kept coming up so I contacted her and we set up a time to talk over the phone. She is so genuine and had so many ideas and suggestions right away, including secular ideas like I wanted. When it was closer to our wedding date, she sent me tons of ceremonies she has officiated in the past so I could see all the different aspects. At our wedding, she did an amazing job! Everyone kept saying that the different parts of our ceremony were beautiful and unique. We had hoped to have my father-in-law marry us as he's a military chaplain. However he couldn't get licensed so we had to look for another officiant. When we told Kathryn about this situation, without a second's hesitation she suggested he co-officiate. We had never considered something like this and were thrilled beyond words this could even be done. So Dad took us up to our vows and Kathryn prounced us and took care of the legal paper work as she's licensed. It was a dream come true for Dad to be able to oversee his son's wedding and there were many, many tears (my husband and father-in-law included). I can't really imagine having chosen anyone better to officiate our ceremony than Kathryn! From the beginning, she was incredibly warm and reassuring. Kathryn provided us with many ceremony examples to look through as we weren't entirely sure what we wanted. Using these examples and her advice, we created a ceremony that expressed everything we wanted to on our special day. Unlike some other officiants, Kathryn's services include a rehearsal which really helped to put my husband and I, along with our families, at ease. I can't you tell how many compliments we received from wedding guests on how well done the ceremony was and how great Kathryn was. People were surprised that we had found her services on a wedding website as they commented that she had such a familiarity towards us. Working with Kathryn was amazing. She was kind and open to any ideas we had while at the same time providing us with the guidance we needed. If felt like we became friends immediately and that she was truly invested in our special day. When looking for someone to hire to perform our wedding ceremony, it was so important that we found someone who "fit" with me and my fiance. We made plans to meet Kathryn at Starbucks to talk and get to know each other. From moment one- it was a perfect match! We met, hit it off, and continue to talk throughout the year of planning before our wedding on October 14th. She compiled a beautiful ceremony completely customized to the style of us. Our ceremony was everything we wanted- and Kathryn added special touches along the way. Not only did she perform a flawless ceremony- but she managed to charm a room FULL of complete strangers. We received endless compliments on the ceremony. We knew she was meant for us day one we met...and I will continue to keep in touch with her. She made our ceremony exciting and easy to plan...and made our wedding day one to cherish forever. She is the best!

When I first read all the accolades about Kathryn on this site I wondered how anyone could be that great. But then I met her, hired her, watched her create our perfect, romantic ceremony, and got married by her...and I'm here to tell you absolutely everything said about her here is true. Every. Single. Word. She is awesome X 10! We and our families love her to death. She's like some hip young granny with a wicked sense of humor. And she knows exactly how to treat whatever situation might arise: she was warm, charming and reassuring to my grandmother; she was friendly and professional with our other vendors; and she was very quietly yet very firmly 'the wedding Nazi' with one of our groomsmen who was doing Jagermeister shots before the ceremony. I'm borrowing what another bride said about Kathryn on The Knot Community Board: "Without exception, she was the easiest vendor to work with in our entire entourage of vendors." That sums it up perfectly. In reality, I find it hard to think of her as a vendor - she's more like a family friend. Jay and I both have the feeling she’s a good omen to start out our married life - like she was our own personal good luck charm. [My great-aunt Francesca says Kathryn has 'the gift of second sight' and I'm beginning to think she might be right, not just an Old World superstition.] I hope other brides will be as lucky as we were to know her and have her involved in their ceremonies too.

I met Kathryn at my sister’s wedding anniversary where she oversaw the renewal of their vows. I asked Kathryn for a few minutes of her time and ended up monopolizing her for an hour. I asked her all sorts of wedding questions and she very kindly and patiently shared tons of information. Being older and it being the second marriage for both of us, Ben and I wanted a small and intimate ceremony. We were considering having a judge marry us at city hall but that seemed so cold and impersonal. I asked Kathryn about the smallest wedding she’d ever done and when she described it to me I knew then and there I’d found what I wanted and no one but Kathryn would do to marry us. I ran it by Ben and he agreed 100%. So Kathryn married us at daybreak on a quiet morning on a small overlook above the Ohio River with the sun rising above the river as a backdrop. It was just us and our sweet rescue dogs, Thelma and Louise. It was the most romantic ceremony ever! What a lovely lady Kathryn is to have helped make this happen for us. We’re moving to Colorado at the end of the year and I’m looking forward to a new life in a new place with my new husband – my only regret is I won’t be in close proximity to Kathryn to include her in my close circle of friends.

My sister was married last year in Cincinnati Ohio. She first met Kathryn through a mutual friend. When first meeting Kathryn, my sister (Sami) and the groom (Joe) were thrilled to find how friendly yet professional she was. She took time to ask questions about how they met, where they were from, what they were looking for, even about their kids and pets. She sent my Sister several different vows to choose from and also said she could write her own if she chose to. My family is Native American and the groom was from Africa, so it was interesting to see how we were going to combine the two backgrounds into one ceremony. Kathryn was able to make it all come together beautifully. Even at the last minute a friend of the groom ( another minister) showed up as a guest and Joe requested that he take part in the festivities. Kathryn gracefully accepted the interuption. They worked so well together, It was like they had rehearsed several times before. The tidbits of information she had gathered from Sami and Joe during their visit was incorporated into the ceremony, so it was like a friend of the family performing the wedding. She was there early and even read the Native Blessings, also adding the Sand Ceremony to the day. The way she personalized everything was amazing. If I ever get married I hope to use Kathryn as the officiant. Thanks to Kathryn for making my Sister and Brother-in-Laws day one to remember.

wedding is planned for early next year. When first meeting with Kathryn, I found her to be sincere and honest. She has many different vows to choose from but if we want she will allow us to write our own. (still deciding) The best part is how she personalizes the wedding. She took time to get to know us, our backgroud, our religion, even our pets, so that she would be more in touch with us personally when the big day arrives. She arrived on time to the first meeting and it makes me feel better knowing she will be there on time when our day arrives as well. She is very professional, yet personal. It was such a joy working with Kathryn! On our first meeting I knew that we had found the perfect person to marry us! After talking for a while and getting know one another we found out that she is a patient at the Dentist office my mom works at! I believe everything happens for a reason and Kathryn is such a free spirt and it was truly her words and kindness that made our ceremony so beautiful! Kathryn was absolutely wonderful. Kathryn put us at ease from the moment we met her. She was very organized and shared with us many sample ceremonies that she had previously officiated. She had so many terrific ideas that made it very easy for us to design our own personalized ceremony. Our ceremony was beautiful and we received so many complements from our friends and our family. I loved having Kathryn as our officiant. Planning the ceremony was one area where my husband and I were having trouble finding direction. Kathryn shared a wealth of ideas and knowledge with us and together we created the most personalized ceremony imaginable. From beginning to end, you could tell the words spoken and actions taken truly represented "us." It was such a joy to work with Kathryn and a delight to get to share the fantastic experience we had with her.

I don’t even know where to start - this lady is awesome. I’ve been either in the wedding party or done a reading in three weddings she’s officiated. Let me share some of her wonderful stories. She works with brides to make sure the ceremony is exactly the way they want it. Whenever I’ve heard someone approach her afterwards to rave about the ceremony, she always demurred to the bride saying it was what they chose (although I’m sure most of it was composed by Kathryn). But the best was when she literally saved the day. My friends Josie and Don live in Kentucky but got married at Pyramid Park in Hamilton, Ohio. They got their license the day before the wedding and at Kathryn’s request they brought the license to the Friday evening rehearsal. When she saw it she said oh dear, this isn’t Hamilton County this is Butler County...this license isn’t valid here. Not being from Ohio, I guess they just assumed that Hamilton, Ohio is in Hamilton County. Josie nearly fainted and was on her way to a full-blown panic attack. Kathryn said wait a minute...before we waste a good hissy fit for nothing, what are you doing tomorrow morning at 8:00? Don said just packing up the car to bring the decorations up to Pyramid Park and Kathryn said OK, how about if on the way you meet me at the Krohn Conservatory in Eden Park (that’s smack in the middle of Cincinnati definitely Hamilton County) and I’ll marry you and then we’ll just go through with the evening wedding as planned? That way they could still celebrate their anniversary on the same day. Don literally hugged her and Josie calmed right down. And that’s exactly what they did: got married at 8:00 a.m. in Hamilton County where the license was valid and again at 6:00 p.m. in Butler County. When they returned from their honeymoon and we had a chance to talk more about the wedding I asked if Kathryn had charged more because she did two weddings and Josie said she never even mentioned it - she did it all for her regular fee. Is this woman wonderful or what? She most certainly deserves her #1 rating. I’ve already booked her for my wedding even though it’s not for another 17 months. I’m not letting her get away!

Kathryn has proved to be one of the best decisions I've made wedding-wise. She's sweet, funny, extremely helpful and has put together the most beautiful ceremony for us. Plus my mom is wild about her and my mom is one of the pickiest women alive; this alone makes Kathryn nothing short of heroic. You absolutely cannot go wrong having this great woman oversee your ceremony.
