Hi! I'm Bridget Couwenhoven and I am a wedding and engagement photographer based in Minneapolis and St. Paul, MN. It is really an honor to document the beauty of your wedding day, from the excited preparations to the happy tears and everything in between! (My FAVES are the in-between moments that capture the real you, and you will notice that a lot if you browse through my work.)
I have always been interested in photography, but it really became a passion about 10 years ago. I have been professionally shooting weddings since 2014, and have witnessed many different types and styles of weddings. I love photography because I feel that it tells a story in a way that words can't.
I aim to create a genuine bond with every couple that they work with. My aim is to depict the raw and real emotion of a moment, allowing you to relive the feeling again and again.
Hi! I'm Bridget and I have been doing photography professionally for the past 10 years. Prior to that I was a local Minneapolis photographer's assistant where I learned hands-on experience second-shooting weddings. What started out as a fun side job, eventually grew into forming my own business and fostering a passion. I want my business to reflect who I am. I want you to be able to feel what I value in your photos by how they invoke emotions. I aim to capture your day in an artistic, photojournalistic way. I could rave on and on about how wonderful Bridget was! She did our engagement photos and our wedding day photos! She is so kind and so fun! She was organized and got our preview photos back to us so soon after the wedding. We will definitely continue to utilize her for our future photos needs! Book her!
Bridget was an absolute dream to work with! Not only is she incredibly bubbly and fun to be around, but she is also so professional and efficient at what she does. We got married on one of the (if not the most) hottest days in the summer, we were all sweating and being outside was a challenge, but Bridget kept the photos quick, effortless, and so fun. Our photos turned out absolutely incredible, and we can't wait to see the rest of them. Highly recommend working with her!

Bridget was amazing! She helped us find the perfect spot for engagement photos and we fell in love with every single photo she took! She helped us capture our wedding day perfectly! We once again love all our photos and even have guests still commenting on how great of a presence and photographer she was. Bridget was so fun to work with; she helped us get past any photo jitters we had and helped make our day perfect! You won’t regret having Bridget as your photographer!!

From start to finish, Bridget made the whole wedding planning process seamless and her STUNNING work speaks for itself! I do not consider myself photogenic and generally am not comfortable having my picture taken so I was a bit nervous about our wedding photos. Bridget was so kind and offered to show me the photos as she was taking them which definitely eased my mind.
I met with her multiple times during the planning process. She gave me a working schedule that made it so easy to coordinate everyone for portraits and make sure she would capture all the specific shots that we wanted!
On the big day, she was SO patient with our big family!! She posed/directed everyone perfectly for portraits and captured every candid moment! Her attention to detail and photographic skill is UNMATCHED. We just got our previews back and I am obsessed!! I continue to get compliments from all of my guests and family about how professional and personable she was. I am BEYOND grateful that we had the privilege of having her capture our special day so expertly and perfectly!
Hiring a good photographer is a stressful decision for such a once-in-a-lifetime event since they are the ones capturing and preserving all of your special moments that just dont happen again. If you want to take the guesswork and stress out of the entire process, call Bridget!!!

Bridget went above and beyond to ensure that our wedding day and pictures were perfect! She was so personable and even though the wedding morning was the first time we met her, she made it feel like we have known her for years! We love Bridget's style and felt it was a perfect match for our big day. We have only seen the sneak peek so far and are SO excited to see the rest of the photos! :) Even through torrential downpour, Bridget helped us stay calm and navigate the whole day with ease. We loved having her at our big day!

Bridget did both our engagement photos and wedding photos and the entire experience was absolutely wonderful. After meeting with multiple photographers, we chose Bridget because she was laid back, easy to communicate with and had the personality of a photographer we were looking for - easygoing, funny, yet professional! Bridget was the most expensive of all of the photographers we were talking too, but paying the "extra" was 110% worth it. She was worth every penny and then some! We took our engagement photos very last minute and Bridget was able to turn them around back to us very quickly! On the day of the wedding, she (second shooter included) just jumped right in - it felt like they were part of the wedding party ; I loved it! She coordinated our first look and even snuck in a surprise for me with the help of my Husband. She was constantly taking photos of our guests and they loved it, too! We are still receiving compliments from our guests about how awesome our photographer was. The wedding previews were PERFECT. I still can't stop looking at them! All in all, I would use Bridget over and over again - I cannot recommend her enough!

We highly recommend that you select Bridget for your wedding photographer! She was so easy to work with and brought such a warm energy to our wedding day, playing music while we took our family and wedding party photos. Her infectious smile and positive energy put us at ease.
Bridget sent us dozens of photos within two weeks of our wedding. We were so surprised that it was only a preview of all of the fabulous photos to come! She captured so many amazing candids that help us to relive our wedding day whenever we see them. We selected her because we love how natural her photos look, and they perfectly captured the ambiance of our day.

We highly recommend Bridget for so many reasons. I never realized what a huge impact on the day your photographer and videographer have. They are with you during all of these special and intimate moments and I cant think of a better person to have by our side. Bridget’s personality is so warm and calming, while at the same time exciting and infectious. I don’t like getting my photo taken and she (and my husband of course) couldn’t have put me more at ease. She really felt like a new best friend. She is also crazy talented. Her work speaks for itself but she has a knack for catching the little moments and articulating the feeling of the whole day. Thank you Bridget! We will quite literally cherish these photos for the rest of our lives.

Bridget, is really exceptional at what she does! She captured my proposal to my girlfriend and just so you know I had this grand plan but it did not go exactly how I wanted it too and she was so super flexible and patient. I am thankful for her eye to detail and her gentle spirit she made us feel very comfortable and we got really beautiful pictures that we love.
I would highly recommend Bridget to anyone, she is one of the best photographers around. My fiance and I are hoping and praying that she will be able to do our wedding as well!

Bridget is so incredibly talented and has such a good eye when it comes to capturing the most sincere version of your relationship! When I first worked with Bridget for our engagement pictures, I didn't really know what to do, but she was able to get to know us and find the most perfect area and snap the most amazing pictures of my now husband and I. If you are on the other end and know exactly what you want, she is great with taking direction from the couple. On our big day, Bridget was SO good at being invisible while still being able to capture the most raw and romantic photos. She has a special talent and i'm so glad she is able to share it with all of her clients and future clients! I would highly recommend Bridget for anything wedding related or for a romantic, fun, candid couples shoot! She has such a good energy!

Bridget does an amazing job of not just capturing your day but the special moments when your true selves shine through as well. She is super kind and makes the whole process very easy! We loved working with her! The photos are received in a timely manner and are of fantastic high quality that have no problems being sized into larger prints. We would wholeheartedly recommend her for your special day!!

When planning our wedding, we knew our photographer was going to be one of the most important pieces and we wanted to make sure we had a good one! We couldn't have picked a better photographer to be part of our day. Bridget met with us beforehand to talk about our vision and came out way above our expectations. She was organized, patient and got every detail we could have ever wanted. Fantastic, high quality pictures that we will cherish forever! I absolutely loved working with Bridget. She was so flexible and so willing to help us figure out so many different logistics of our day. It certainly felt like I had friend with me on our day that happened to have a camera with her. I still look through our wedding photos almost weekly because I love them that much. She was always willing to help me answer my many questions and offer suggestions on how to fit my very large family into a photo in a small space with minimal lighting. She rolled with whatever happened (including a Segway tour practicing in the space we were using to take photos). I highly recommend Bridget for your wedding photography, she really will capture the best of your day.

Bridget did our engagement and wedding photos and they turned out amazing. We have been so happy with her work we have referred her to all of our friends. I think she has done 4 of our friends weddings now and all of them have been super happy with the result. I highly recommend Bridget to everyone!!
