Jakub absolutely killed it! Never seen a crowd dance for 4 hours straight. He did an amazing job!

You might as well stop looking for a DJ because the Bright Light folks are wedding day game changers. Us and our guests simply can’t stop talking about just how fantastic Chris was from the prep, ceremony, reception & dance party - We heard “where did you find him? He’s so good!” Dozens of times. He blew our expectations out the water in every way and was genuinely the highlight of our wedding. We knew when researching vendors that the DJ really sets the tone for each event, and it’s important to find one that isn’t going to just plug and play a Spotify wedding hits playlist but actually mix and craft the music to the couples taste and wishes, and Chris did just that. He is truly a pro and kept the dance party so lively all night, no one sat down and we didn’t even have to make requests. The perfect combination of on brand crowd pleasers, our specific must plays and all the songs in the middle. He captured our vibe perfectly, communicated super well and made us feel so heard and excited. He was so genuine and worked so hard to make it the best night for us - I cannot recommend them enough!

We had an amazing experience with Bright light entertainment! I cold called Jakub on a random afternoon and he was nothing but accommodating. Chris was a fantastic DJ for our wedding day. My (now) husband and I were looking for a DJ for our wedding and we came across Bright Light Entertainment. When we reached out to inquire about services, prices, etc., Jakub was super responsive and provided a lot of details and information. We knew he would be a great choice. Jakub was super flexible so it was easy to customize the type of services we wanted. We decided to book Jakub to provide sound for our ceremony, DJ the reception, provide lighting and a photo booth. Once we booked, Jakub provided a document so that we could make sure all of our requests were met. He also was super helpful in areas that we were undecided about or hadn't thought about yet by making recommendations. The night went smoothly and we felt that he listened to our requests and all of our guests had a great time dancing and with the photo booth. Would 10/10 recommend Bright Light Entertainment.

Hiring Jakub was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! He was so easy to talk to and super helpful from our initial phone call through the entire process. We had a few last minute shifts in the schedule for the ceremony and reception and Jakub handled everything seamlessly. We didn’t meet him in person until the day of our wedding, but it instantly felt like we were seeing an old friend. He kept the dance floor full all night, which was really important to me, and even stayed and kept music going for everyone cleaning up after the reception. We had an absolute blast working with Jakub and he really brought all of our hopes and wishes for our wedding together! In addition to DJ-ing, Jakub also curated a fantastic (and diverse) playlist of music and hosted karaoke at our wedding. Karaoke is a big part of what brought us together with our friends and needless to say, it was a blast at our wedding! Jakub was incredibly well-organized and receptive throughout the planning process of our wedding. He sent over a document to us so we could plan out everything that Jakub would need to know about, such as emcee responsibilities, music that we wanted to have played at different times throughout the reception, karaoke list, etc. We also worked with Jakub by putting together a list of songs that both my partner and I liked for dancing and a list of songs for karaoke. When it comes to music, our tastes are very eclectic, from dance/electronic music from Giorgio Moroder, to ska, to punk, to reggae, to 70s disco. Jakub was very creative and put together a fantastic playlist of music for dancing and karaoke! Seriously, Jakub has some amazing DJ and remix skills! Jakub knew exactly how to get things set-up at our venue (The Farm: a gathering place) and was very efficient throughout the evening. We so enjoyed working with him and recommend him to everyone! Thank you, Jakub! We had such a wonderful and memorable evening (and all of our friends had the best time doing karaoke!).

Sam and Jakub were amazing! Jakub was easy to work with, had lots of options for sound and lighting, and made that portion of planning so easy. On our wedding day, Sam was great. A transformer ended up blowing and we lost power during our reception, and Sam didn't let it phase him, he found a bluetooth speaker and kept the party going. Sam and Jakub both knew exactly what kind of music we wanted and what the reception needed. If you can book Bright Lights, you won't regret it!

Chris, with Bright Light is extremely talented and made our wedding one to remember. I’ve had numerous folks who attended the wedding mention how he was one of the best DJ’s they’ve ever seen. Bright Light Entertainment (Jakub Holy was our DJ) did an outstanding job at our wedding and served as a great MC. We needed a wide variety of music at our wedding - Caribbean, 70s music, house music and more modern popular rock. Bright Light Entertainment did a great job mixing and playing the music. 10/10 would hire again.

We had Chris at our wedding but talked to both Chris and Jakub throughout the planning process. Both of them were super communicative, and listened to what we wanted. Chris did an amazing job getting our vibe and desired feel for our wedding. I was nervous, because it's hard to give a "vibe" and hope somebody gets it, but he completely understood the assignment! The pre-ceremony, cocktail, and dinner music was beautiful, and the reception was an absolute blast! You won't regret hiring them!

The people at Bright Light Entertainment were friendly in the communications leading up the wedding, as well as the day of. Unfortunately, they did not really meet our vision or standards for what we expected of our DJ. The music for the reception did not meet what we specified in the pre-wedding questionnaire. During our introduction, our DJ forgot to play the song we had specified for our intro. During the special family dances, the timing was incorrect despite us providing time stamps in the questionnaire for what we wanted. We had a specific song listed in our questionnaire to open the dance floor with, and that request was ignored. We also had to ask the DJ to change to a completely different playlist during dinner because the music felt so out of place. Overall, this vendor did not meet our expectations and we wouldn't recommend them.

Bright Light Ent. exemplified excellence in every aspect of our big day! From our original planning discussion until the very end, we had a great experience working with both Jakub and Chris. Why both? Unfortunately Chris had a serious health issue preventing his ability to DJ that occurred last minute, but Jakub fielded the fly ball and absolutely crushed it! From the ceremony music and mic work to the elevated reception, Jakub kept our dance floor sustainably energized. We specifically got multiple compliments that people had never seen a dance floor stay so lively for so long! Things I would like to specifically point out: - Excellent timing and intuition during music-driven moments of the evening (examples include the Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dances, as well as a special song dedicated to a dearly departed family member) - Stellar interpretation of our music tastes when fleshing out the evening's playlist (including at least one song I actively had to walk up and ask 'Who is this? I love it!') - Following up our big day with a playlist of the evening so we could relive the night Truly couldn't imagine a better experience than we have, especially considering the last-minute hurdle that could have derailed our day significantly (but absolutely did not). Hire Bright Light with absolute confidence!

Hiring Jakub was one of the best decisions we made! He is so friendly and easy to work with and also made our vision come alive. During the planning process, he offered great opinions and ways to make the wedding flow and be more efficient. We had Chris as our wedding DJ and he truly blew us and our guests away with how top notch of a DJ he was! Not only was a great emcee through our ceremony and dinner but he gave us THE BEST techno reception we could have ever dreamt of!!! Jakub Holy from Brightlight entertainment was professional, communicated extremely efficiently, did not need any guidance, and from our wedding DJ checklist created an absolutely incredible experience for our guests. He mixed music and incorporated requests without hesitation or delay. My guests were tired including my groom, stating "Jakub kept us on our feet all night. You wanted to sit to catch your breath and eat, but there was always an epic song around the corner. Jakub's eyes were always on us, even when we ventured out on the grounds, checking in and present in our special day. He was smiling and engaging, and dancing to the tunes that even he loved that we chose. My guests said it was the most fun they have ever had at a wedding, even with some of my guests having been married 19 years. He guided us easily through speeches during dinner where the musical selection matched the atmosphere perfectly of our overall song wishlist. He has all the correct equipment we needed and did not need any help setting up or settling in. Jakub was the absolute best ever! He was the shining star of our day. He helped us feel comfortable, energized and even more in love. We thank you Jakub!!!

We hired Jakub as the DJ for our wedding in Asheville at The Farm and he was absolutely amazing!!! He was so professional and experienced and made quarterbacked our wedding seamlessly. He made planning our NC wedding from California so easy and stress-free. We were able to share a list of songs that we wanted via Spotify playlist for our ceremony, reception and dinner, which made things super easy. He was so easy to work with and was both kind and flexible with us as we navigated covid wedding planning. My husband and I loved working with Jakub from Bright Light Entertainment so much! Leading up to our wedding, he was super attentive and always willing to jump on a call to touch base and make any last-minute changes. We were literally changing songs the night before! During our reception, he created such a fun atmosphere. All of our guests were dancing all night and he really seemed to get our taste in music and find gems to make sure everyone felt like there was a song they wanted to dance to. After the night was over, Jakub was even generous enough to give us a ride to the local bar! He's such an amazing person to work with and I would recommend him to anyone!

Words cannot express how grateful we are to Jakub! After our first DJ had to unfortunately pull out of our wedding due to COVID, our venue highly recommended Jakub. To say he came to the rescue was an understatement! With just several weeks before our wedding, he was able to accommodate our wedding day and was such a joy to work with during the very quick planning process. He blew us away on our wedding day. He has such a great, fun personality and kept the party going all night long. All our guests commented on how fun the music selection was – he even played Space Jam which was a crowd favorite! There wasn’t a dull moment on the dance floor and that’s due to Jakub – he really can judge the feel of the party and keep the reception lively. I’ll recommend his services any day!

Jakub was so easy to work with and flexible. Originally, we weren't sure if we were going to hire live music for the ceremony- Jakub allowed us to book him for the reception with the option to add him for the ceremony if needed (we ended up doing that.) He was able to find specific versions of the songs we wanted played. And most of all, he was understanding and communicative as we tried to determine what to do with our June 2020 wedding amidst the COVID pandemic. In the end, he was a great MC and was able to keep the party going even with our guest list downsized to about 35 people. 10/10 would recommend

We had the privilege of having Jakub DJ our wedding day, a true master of his trade who ensured that all DJ related aspects of our wedding would be flawless. Most planning was done long distance as our wedding was in Asheville, NC while my husband and I were located in Colorado. Jakub and team were easy to communicate with, outlining the way forward at each step to make sure we were all on the same page and offered solutions to any concerns. Our wedding was October of this year (2020) so as you know Covid was still in full force. We hired a DJ before Covid and about 3 months before the big day our prior DJ canceled on us because they would not work unless a vaccine came out. My fiancé and I scrambled to find someone who would be able to DJ our venue. We found Jakub and Bright Light Entertainment and he saved us. He didn't have any one to work our wedding date so he personally came and worked our wedding. Jakub never knew our venue but worked it like he has been there a million times. We asked for our wedding to be a full on dance party and he delivered. We had everyone on the dance floor the entire time. He played all the music we requested and read the room perfectly. He was able to accommodate us with lapel mic's for our ceremony and brought numerous other professional DJ/Equipment items. We could not have asked for a better DJ. Family members, friends, and even other vendors were blown away by the job he did. We are so happy our prior Dj cancelled since we got to have Jakub and Bright Light Entertainment make our wedding perfect.

Honestly, I never expected to be overly impressed with a DJ at my Wedding. I knew I didn't want the cheesy guys who sound like they are on a radio station, and I also knew I didn't want the other extreme -- someone who never speaks and forgets that they are actually the host of the evening while running a spotify list in the background. What I didn't expect was someone who guests would still be talking about nearly 3 months later. Jakub is professional yet friendly, and will take as much or as little of the reigns as you would like. When the bridal party hadn't yet finished their processional, he quickly began to reply their song so that there was no awkward silence -- as if it was planned that way. He also humored my Gilmore Girls inner super-fan and agreed to play the theme song as my husband and I walked down the aisle - SO FUN. Jakub ensured the bridal party (who he had to corral!) was lining up correctly before entering the reception and was informing them of what to do/where to go/etc. He had printed out the entire schedule I had filled in for him (an amazing google doc that he made which helps you think of EVERY SINGLE MOMENT and sometimes things I didn't even think about making a decision for, such as the song to play while we cut our dessert). He was extremely accommodating to our unique requests -- allowing a family friend to play guitar during cocktail hour, playing old Jazz CDs that were performed by my Great Uncle during dinner, having another family friend play and sing at the live piano before the blessing, and then handled (with so much class and grace!) several last minute surprise requests that evening including a serenade to me by all of my dad and husband's fraternity brothers followed by a family member singing live while Jakub played the instrumental. No matter what we threw at him, he was game for all of it and did it with a smile! He felt like an extension of our family. We gave him dozens of songs that we love (and a few we didn't) to help him build an idea for what to play during the dance party and boy, does he know how to read a room! At the beginning of the night as guests are finding their groove and confidence, there were a few songs that weren't quite landing with them (that I had requested, lol). Jakub would immediately recognize this and seamlessly transition into a new song keeping the dance floor packed. One guest was requesting a line dance song, and Jakub had noticed that many line dances were on my "do not play" list so before just going for it, he asked my permission which I appreciated so much. He graciously agreed to extend our reception by 30 minutes because none of us wanted the celebration to end. I've never seen a dance floor so full for an entire reception (it even included all of the older crowd...literally no one was going home!!). The value for what you get with Jakub and his team is off the charts. If I can make one suggestion it would be to book him now before he's gone because you don't want to have your Wedding (or other special event) without Bright Lights Entertainment! Oh, and whatever you do, make sure to add on the light package. TOTALLY WORTH IT! Thanks for being amazing, Jakub. We can't wait to work with you on all future family events!!

My wife and I both have somewhat eclectic tastes when it comes to music, and it was important to us that our wedding DJ be able to draw from each of our styles in order to adequately represent us as a new married couple. Additionally, I was unsure of how many of my nerdy friends would be interested in dancing at all, so didn't want the whole "get on the floor and line dance!" sort of thing that might make them feel out of place. All of this seemed like a tough sell to me, and I expected to have to compromise when making a choice on a DJ but Jakub dropped the beat (or raised the roof, or whatever appropriate music-related metaphor one should use in this particular instance). He gave us an easy-to-fill-out checklist of details he needed, and my wife—fianceé at the time—set up a Spotify playlist for him. Each of us threw a dozen songs on there, and I came up with a far-too-long list of my favorite swing/jazz standards for the cocktail hour. Then we put our trust in Jakub and handed him these lists and told him "you don't need to play these songs exactly, we just wanted to give you a solid sense of what we're about." He did exactly that, using our suggestions as a baseline and even pulling out some awesome covers we hadn't heard. Jakub exists in the rare overlap between the hyper-professional and the laid-back, and it was a delight working with him before the wedding as well as listening to him do his thing. Highly recommend! Jakub DJed at our wedding and had our dance floor packed the WHOLE night! He's a really nice guy to work with and was a perfect emcee for our big day. His song selection was great and had people- old and young - up and dancing throughout the evening. The gear he brought was first rate and sound quality was amazing. He also miced our ceremony (which was outside) and everything went off without a hitch. We also had a friend perform a song towards the end of our reception and Jakub accommodated her with all of the equipment she needed. Thanks Jakub for bringing the dance party to our wedding - we wouldn't have had it any other way!!

Jakub and Chris were a pleasure to work with from the time that I booked them. Jakub was quick to respond to any questions that I had prior to booking via email and sent me a DJ checklist that made all of the planning super easy! Chris was the actual DJ for our wedding and he kept us dancing all night. He was dressed to the nines in a suit that coordinated well with our colors. As soon as the dance floor opened, he played a song that would get everyone out there and then he just continually played amazing music all night that kept everyone dancing from the teenagers to the grandparents! I would highly recommend booking them!!

He was very responsive as we planned our wedding and did a nice job of introducing us, directing guests, etc. We got the bucket lights (blue), which he did a wonderful job in placing for a subtle, effective highlight of color. Choosing Jakub as our D.J. was arguably one of the best decisions we made in planning our Wedding. He was amazing. Not only was he friendly, fun, and outgoing, but he was able to figure out exactly what we envisioned for our Wedding with very little to go on. We sent him a list of a few songs and essentially told him we wanted songs that everyone loves to dance to. ALL of the songs he played were exactly what we were looking for and everyone was on the dance floor throughout the entire night! We would recommend him for anyone who wants to have a great time!

Jakub was a pleasure to work with in every way. He got a real sense of who we were and what we were looking for in our initial phone conversation and that carried through all our interactions. He suggested using a Spotify playlist - what a great idea! We kept posting songs to it as we came across them, giving him a bigger and better picture of the kind of music we wanted. Jakub was always responsive to questions and ideas. We worked together on the pre-ceremony music, as well as cocktail hour and dinner background ambiance. He emceed our toasts during dessert, as well as introducing our short live set (my husband's daughter is a professional jazz pianist who accompanied two dear friends in a few songs). And the rest of the evening was a flow of the dance music we wanted. Never was the dance floor empty. We would recommend Jakub to anyone. Professional, easy-going, competent and fun. We might have to create another celebration soon so we can use his services again!

DJ Jakub is the absolute best! He is very attentive and accommodating to the music that you as a client want to hear at your event. His DJ Checklist Survey helped us identify the genres of music that we enjoy, artists that we love, and our "must-play" songs for our wedding reception. He delivered on all fronts. What can I say about Jakub? I hired him to handle all things music at my wedding. From the initial conversation to the actual ceremony, he did an amazing job. You know that he did his job well when the groom remembers him so clearly. He walked in dressed to impress (but not to outshine me), stealthily made the speakers do their thing, and when the dancing started, the coat came off and the music started pumping. He managed to incorporate our likes and was able to adapt to the group by switching up the music and keeping the dancing going. Couldn't be happier!

Weddings are one of the most joyous times in a person's life, and the setting and atmosphere of your wedding is incredibly important. Everything has to be in place, timely, flexible to change, and cohesive. With Jakub from Bright Light Entertainment, that was certainly the case. He showed up and had everything set up, well before any guest arrived, and was quick to greet my partner and I, at the appropriate time. Jakub's part in our day came later in the evening, during introductions, dinner, and the reception. Everything was perfect. The correct music was played, it was on time, it was very clear, the audio was evenly balanced, and his voice was very professional. We didn't get around to telling Jakub what we wanted to hear or what music we wanted to play, until we met him for the first time, the day of the wedding. I can be a difficult person to please musically, and I couldn't have chosen better music myself. He definitely had a finger on the pulse of his audience and played accordingly. My partner and I, and our small wedding party, all listen to a wide range of music, and every time I looked around the room, the only reason I saw someone away from the dance floor was for a break from dancing. Even Jakub seemed to really enjoy himself. We made two requests, no music from one particular artist, and that Bohemian Rhapsody has to be played. Jakub smiled and obliged, then sang every word, like he was on the dance floor with us! I would highly recommend Jakub for any wedding or event. He's professional, has a clean look and set up, and put on a great time. Someone once told me that it's the music, food, and atmosphere that people remember the most, I now wholeheartedly agree. Having almost all of my guests' comment on how much they enjoyed the music alone, was icing on the cake.

Jakub Holy at Bright Light Entertainment was on point! My Wife and I had so many things on our plate getting ready for our big day, Jakub was so helpful. He walked us through the entire process making everything quick and easy. On parts that we had no idea about, he jumped in and used his expertise to make the night flawless. Everything went better than expected. From up lighting to timing music for certain parts of the ceremony. We will be referring Jakub to our closest friends and family, and the price point is hard to beat.

Jakub was amazing! Pre-planning before was a breeze and he even helped me pull off a surprise. He knew when to cut things and keep things going smoothly. The uplighting was a cool feature, and he brought all his own equipment to different areas of the venue. The dance party was awesome! We didn’t stop dancing the whole night and were shocked when it was the last song. Everyone had commented on how awesome the DJ was afterwards. I highly recommend Bright Lights for any event!
