Denise made my day run extremely smooth and was right by my side throughout the day if I need anything! (including ginger ale to settle my stomach during pictures) Her day of timeline and organization was flawless. Even my hotel coordinator made a comment that she was on point with her organization and details of the day and that I had a great coordinator! I could not be more pleased with my experience! First, as an older bride with no mother of the bride, Denise followed the entire journey as part of the team on our planning website. She offered suggestions such as locating our florist and unique details such as our' live painter' that painted our first dance. She called vendors, created a fantastic day of schedule, and worked with the venue to ensure every detail was as expected and desired. She stopped by the morning of the wedding to check in and see how I was doing! She was so kind and organized; I really could not have asked for anything more. I highly recommend her to anyone, and we cannot thank her enough for helping us create our dream wedding, or four. She made the weeks leading up to the wedding more fun and less stressful as we waited out changes in Covid rules for our state. Having her there on the "day of" to oversee everything and make sure that all the elements and personal touches were in place made our day so much more enjoyable because we could participate in everything. day-of coordinator. Mainly I was hoping for someone to set up and take down the decor I had made, but Denise went above and beyond all of my expectations. Even before the wedding, she checked in with our other vendors, put together a wedding timeline for the day, ran our rehearsal the night before and even went out of her way to meet with the venue on her own to look into different options I had to enter our ceremony space without being seen. She was on top of things, arguably way more than I was.
The day of the actual wedding she brought two assistants with her (who were also wonderful), and the whole venue was set up better than I had even imagined. She made sure she understood the look I was going for and ran with it. The whole day she checked in with the groom and I to make sure we had everything we needed, and was just overall such a calming and wonderful presence in what could have been a stressful day.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Brilliant Affairs to anyone -- hiring Denise was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. With so many moving parts, I could have been stressing all day (and in the weeks leading up to it), but instead I was able to relax and have an amazing wedding, knowing Denise and her staff were more than up to the task.

Denise was my wedding planner that I hired approximately 6 months prior to my wedding. Initially she recommended to me some great vendor contacts including the photographer, DJ, florist, and officiant and we signed all the contracts through her...
. All of the vendors she recommended were top notch and ended up saving us so much money that it well paid for her expenses. However, we had multiple hiccups throughout the course of the planning that became problematic just prior to the wedding. All of these issues I have attempted to address with Denise directly with her and all of them have been brushed off and if possible corrected but only at my insistence.
- Throughout the planning stages, Denise attempted to push different options on my husband and I.
- She talked badly about other brides that she had worked with or was working with simultaneously as me.
- She created multiple confusions with the vendors, often misinforming them or changing information that I had already coordinated with them (and she was aware of).
- She was not organized leading up the event and I had to step in to help her get ready for the day of.
- On the day of she created strife between myself and my MIL by allowing her to make changes to the seating arrangement despite that fact that I had previously told Denise not to allow this.
- On my wedding day denise referred to one my bridesmaids as the MOH despite hte fact that she was not the MOH. Denise was aware of this and she knew why this was a sensitive issue and I even reminded her of this on the day of but she refused to stop.
- She intentionally threw away a gift the officiant gave my husband because it looked “spicy” and “awful” and never apologized, instead just brushed it off and asked me for a 5 star review.
- She spent a significant portion of each meeting discussing how she feels she is undervalued and should be charging more as well as pressuring me to give a 5 star review.
Overall, I could not in good conscious recommend Denise to another bride nor would I ever recommend her to anyone I knew personally.

With only 6 months to your wedding day, it was a pleasure to help you plan, coordinate, schedule and attend meetings with our top professionals in the wedding business for photography, music, flowers, transportation, and hair and make-up. I was happy you went with all of my professional contacts and especially excited you went with my suggestion to surprise your husband, who is a huge Eagles fan, with the Original Eagles Tailgate bus.
We pride ourselves on making your experience special and I hope we did this by driving you to your make-up and hair trial in Philadelphia and treating you to brunch at The Grand Luxe Café in Cherry Hill NJ afterwards. It was also my pleasure to provide you at no additional cost my own personal décor for your big day.

She reached out to vendors when we needed help, met with us for a venue walkthrough, and gave us ideas for memorable wedding day moments. A lot of people think it’s not necessary to have a wedding planner that they can do it on their own but Denise was so helpful she really knows the wedding world and has a lot of connections with so many great vendors. From day one, Denise was organized and quick to respond to emails. We held an initial walk through of our venue so she could get a sense of the space, and she quickly caught on to our decor theme and style (romantic wood, candles, and greenery). The majority of our communication was via email, but we felt confident the Denise was ready to make our space beautiful based on the pictures we shared.
The day of the wedding we arrived at the venue and were beyond thrilled. Our cocktail space decor looked fantastic, and our centerpieces were arranged in a way that was even better than we planned on/envisioned! Denise’s keen eye had guests raving.
