ur result was an intimate but elegant 1920's Mardi Gras soiree for 60 that included a jazz band and vaudeville entertainment since dancing was not allowed due to Covid. Hiring Brilliant Affairs and Denise was the BEST decision we ever made. First, as an older bride with no mother of the bride, Denise followed the entire journey as part of the team on our planning website. She offered suggestions such as locating our florist and unique details such as our' live painter' that painted our first dance. She called vendors, created a fantastic day of schedule, and worked with the venue to ensure every detail was as expected and desired. She stopped by the morning of the wedding to check in and see how I was doing! She was so kind and organized; I really could not have asked for anything more. I highly recommend her to anyone, and we cannot thank her enough for helping us create our dream wedding, or four. She made the weeks leading up to the wedding more fun and less stressful as we waited out changes in Covid rules for our state. Having her there on the "day of" to oversee everything and make sure that all the elements and personal touches were in place made our day so much more enjoyable because we could participate in everything. Words cannot express my gratitude to Denise and Brilliant Affairs. I was fortunate to have had her help. She was always 100% on top of things. The day of the wedding ran so smoothly. Everything, every person, every moment perfect for us. I have already hired her to help with our post-Covid vowel renewal and reception in a year!!!

a few different companies, I ended up booking with Denise as our day-of coordinator. Mainly I was hoping for someone to set up and take down the decor I had made, but Denise went above and beyond all of my expectations. Even before the wedding, she checked in with our other vendors, put together a wedding timeline for the day, ran our rehearsal the night before and even went out of her way to meet with the venue on her own to look into different options I had to enter our ceremony space without being seen. She was on top of things, arguably way more than I was. The day of the actual wedding she brought two assistants with her (who were also wonderful), and the whole venue was set up better than I had even imagined. She made sure she understood the look I was going for and ran with it. The whole day she checked in with the groom and I to make sure we had everything we needed, and was just overall such a calming and wonderful presence in what could have been a stressful day. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Brilliant Affairs to anyone -- hiring Denise was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. With so many moving parts, I could have been stressing all day (and in the weeks leading up to it), but instead I was able to relax and have an amazing wedding, knowing Denise and her staff were more than up to the task.

However, we had multiple hiccups throughout the course of the planning that became problematic just prior to the wedding. All of these issues I have attempted to address with Denise directly with her and all of them have been brushed off and if possible corrected but only at my insistence. - Throughout the planning stages, Denise attempted to push different options on my husband and I. - She talked badly about other brides that she had worked with or was working with simultaneously as me. - She created multiple confusions with the vendors, often misinforming them or changing information that I had already coordinated with them (and she was aware of). - She was not organized leading up the event and I had to step in to help her get ready for the day of. - On the day of she created strife between myself and my MIL by allowing her to make changes to the seating arrangement despite that fact that I had previously told Denise not to allow this. - On my wedding day denise referred to one my bridesmaids as the MOH despite hte fact that she was not the MOH. Denise was aware of this and she knew why this was a sensitive issue and I even reminded her of this on the day of but she refused to stop. - She intentionally threw away a gift the officiant gave my husband because it looked “spicy” and “awful” and never apologized, instead just brushed it off and asked me for a 5 star review. - She spent a significant portion of each meeting discussing how she feels she is undervalued and should be charging more as well as pressuring me to give a 5 star review. Overall, I could not in good conscious recommend Denise to another bride nor would I ever recommend her to anyone I knew personally. month-of wedding coordination. Exactly one month before my wedding, Denise reached out to begin coordination. Her organization skills helped ensure nothing was forgotten. It made the last few weeks of wedding planning feel way less stressful! She reached out to vendors when we needed help, met with us for a venue walkthrough, and gave us ideas for memorable wedding day moments. During the rehearsal and wedding day, Denise, Lauria and Victoria handling everything for us. They were on time, prepared, and made sure every aspect was taken care of. Not to mention, they were so kind to us and our families. We couldn't have asked for more!
