Where do I begin! Steve Wilson deserves more than 5 stars, I will recommend him over and over again. He guided me through bridal photos and our wedding day photos with such a ease and professionalism while having fun. Our guests said he was very nice and fun to work with. My experience overall was so much fun.

There is nothing more precious than a live recollection of of a wonderful event and a beautiful wedding ceremony. Steve was right in there with us, and by the time we sent off our newlywed couple, it felt like he was part of the family. We love his video! I have personally watched it about 50 times since yesterday. He artistically patches together the very best parts of a five hour evening ... not an easy task at all, given all that was going on. He caught all of the words we will want to remember forever. Many thanks, Steve. I can’t wait for the next family wedding!

Couldn’t have gotten a better photographer. Steven was great. Super professional and an amazing personality. I decided on brilliant captures a year and a half before the wedding took place. He was patient and very flexible with me during changes. He talked to me many times before the wedding to make sure he’d capture what I wanted and just overall calmed my wedding-nerves. If I could have another wedding (which I won’t) I would definitely choose Brilliant Captures again! 5/5!

If I could give Steve higher than 5 stars I would. he was amazing. He gave me everything and more that I asked for. The day of the wedding we had a huge storm and he called before his start time to make sure I was doing ok. All of the pictures came out amazing, and I got them back quickly. I highly reccomend him and will continue to recommend him to anyone I know looking for a photographer.

Brilliant Captures is one of those photographers that you dream of! We loved their photos first off, but when we met with them in person, we knew they were the right fit. They went above and beyond to not only get to know the vision of both our engagement photos and wedding, but to truly get to know me and my then fiance as people. They wanted to know our love story, and wanted to depict that in the captured photos. Steve was even able to round of my now husbands crazy but lovable friends. He was also able to be flexible, but stern enough to get our timeline back on track. Unfortunately, his wedding coordinator wife (Itheewed), and him have moved to San Antonio, but if you are wanting to have your wedding there. Please look them up!

From the very first phone to the delivery of our wedding video and photos Steve and Janell have hands down been the perfect vendor. They helped us avoid a few costly mistakes during planning , save time, tears and a lot of money. Their experience, attention to detail and sincerity were apparent at every interaction — they were so much more than just our photographers . I highly recommend this Amazing Team!!!!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! This team is incredible- Steve is hands down the most on top of it, fun to work with, talented photographer around. He made our engagement session, my bridals, and my wedding day so memorable. The work he did was beautiful. I hate pictures of myself, but I can’t stop looking at these photos and they will be framed all over our home. Steve went above and beyond what a photographer is ever expected to do and I can’t thank Brilliant Captures enough!

Steve was amazing and made my daughter’s wedding experience complete. The pictures were beautiful and he added a unique humor that eased any tensions that exist on wedding day. He also worked with our small wedding situation and made a package that worked for us. I’m so grateful as a mom to have found his company (especially because I was from California planning the wedding in Texas)!

Steve did absolutely wonderful at our wedding! He adjusted to our small wedding and at somewhat last minute! He was a talented photographer and I wished that he had gotten my engaged photos too! I highly recommend him!

Very unprofessional. I spoke to Steven today on the phone, and his favorite thing to mention is how he is bi-racial and how he is culturally advanced. He mentioned to me "not everyone can be a beautiful blue eyed, blonde haired bride" which I didnt understand why he was mentioning that when all I was asking for was packages and pricing. when we started to discuss pricing, he gave me a starting price. I asked about adding extra hours and he explained to me the final pricing would be depending whether or not his wife liked me and my fiance. he said they would invite us over and hang out with us to determine if they liked us or not and to see what kind of couple they would be working with, because he wanted to ensure we have "flavor". since when does giving out pricing depend on judging the people requesting your services? he then went on to explain he has OCD and would plan out my day for me as hes done this multiple times before but that was not needed as we have a wedding coordinator. also, I explained I was having an hour mass at a catholic church, he had the nerve to ask how important is it to my mom to have the full hour mass or if it could be cut down. if it wasnt important to us, we obviously would not have booked an hour mass. very offensive. I then informed him I wanted 12 hours of photo as I want my whole day documented, he was persistent in saying I didnt need a full 12 hours. I advised I want a 12 hour session and instead of telling me he cant do it or wont do it, he just said hes convinced I dont really need 12 hours. he also wanted to "stage" mine and my fiance's exit around 10pm as people wont stay at our wedding until 12am. I explained how my family and friends will be there til 12am as we've had multiple parties in the past and I know them best. i believe he just didnt want to continue to do photos or videos until 12am. he barely let me get a word in. he kept going on and on and didnt care to hear about what we were wanting or needing as far as photos or videos for OUR big day. very inconsiderate. I decided to end the conversation and will be going with another photographer would can listen to want we want and put their own creative twist and provide us with excellent service as this company couldnt.

Steve and Janell are a dynamic duo! They make you feel very comfortable and relaxed and I found that very important to ave that level of trust and confidence read true in my photos. Your wedding photos and wedding video are your keep sake from you best day ever that you will look at upon and Brilliant Captures truly did an incredible job. We got the package including engagement photos, bridals, two photographers at the ceremony, one at the reception, video and wedding planning and having everything together took so much stress off of us. Janell coordinated with all of our vendors, created our timeline, helped us shop for decor, and had multiple budget and timeline touch bases. This organization truly helped. Steve coordidted every detail with our photos, he even checked on what outfit we would be wearing in our engagement session to make sure we were comfortable with certain poses, so organized. Steve’s photography is elegant, and full of emotion, you fall in love with you photos every time you see them. We were blown away by the amount of beautiful photos we got back from our wedding, hundreds of photos that made you relive your special day over and over. We also received our wedding video and photos right after our honeymoon, so quick! Steve and Janell are so laid back and can handle any situation, and will take any stress away from you on your big day. They even partner with an amazing florist, Bodacious Blossoms, that took everyone’s breath away with stunning floral arrangements, bouquets, boutonnières, archways, she can do it all and more! Brilliant Captures is a one stop shop and will truly help in every way for your best day ever!

I couldn’t be more happier with any other photographer for our wedding! From our engagement pictures to our wedding day Steve really made us feel so comfortable during our shoot and had such an amazing time while doing it. He was patient with my bridal party ( 9 bridesmaids and 9 groomsmen to be be exact) and we all know how difficult that can be. I love how him and his wife which was my wedding planner Janell worked together. They make a great time and know how to make the bride and groom feel special! Steve did a fantastic job for our wedding! He was easy to work with and went beyond our expectations. He was more than just the photographer, he also helped with the scheduling and directing the guests. All this to get the best possible shots. The photos and video that the Brilliant Captures team created were just amazing! We couldn’t be happier! Their professionalism, execution, and end-product are the best we’ve experienced. Steve was hired as a videographer to come to my wedding last minute because the person who was supposed to come had a family emergency. The original person I hired actually told me last minute that she was not going to come, so another vendor reached out to me and offered to give me my videography for free because she recommended the original videographer I hired and felt responsible. Because of her conflict, Steve came to my wedding. He was kind and had everything together and seemed to be a really cool person from the interactions I had with him. However, AFTER my wedding was a different story. Apparently someone said something to him that hurt his feelings. It was completely out of my control. And instead of telling me or reaching out to me, he sent the money back to the person who hired him, and deleted my video. So after everything I went through, and the stress that already happened from the original videographer, Steve ended up ruining my wedding too. I tried reaching out to him and got continued lies and then eventually no responses, so I gave up. I have no idea about his talent or anything because he never gave me the ability to see it, but he is a shady person and I would give him zero stars if I could. It is petty and unprofessional to do such a thing in general, ESPECIALLY since I had nothing to do with it. Thanks for nothing.

Steve was heaven sent from the beginning until our actual wedding day. He was so flexible and worked with us to schedule our engagement photos since we lived out of state. He was able to break us out of our shell and capture some fantastic moments; everyone is still talking about how gorgeous those pics were! On the day of the wedding, he was both our photographer and my comforter. We were running behind but he found a way to use that time wisely and get some bridal shots in. We were worried about losing the sun to the sunset, and he helped us navigate through the ceremony to shorten it and STILL get all of the shots we wanted before the sun set. I don't know if any other photographer would've had the patience or talent to get that done! I can't wait to see how our photos turned out!

From the very beginning Steve and Janell were very welcoming We Think of them as family ! Me and my now husband got married at the ages 20 and 21, that being said Steve and Janell went out of there way to make sure we had wedding photography that was not only in our budget but also way more than we could of asked for! We started out with an engagement shoot and then followed with the wedding! Everyone at our wedding loved Steve,s personality he even got down with us on the dance floor! I still have guest asking for his info! All in all we are beyond blessed to have had Steve and Janell as part of our big day.

Steve came out to photograph my daughters wedding in the first part of November working under conditions that were not completely ideal but you wouldn’t not be able to tell it from his work! He had a plan in mind and created some of the most beautiful photos and a stunning video of my daughters wedding that she’ll always have as a perfect memory of that day.

A picture says thousands words so know what you want to say. Steve gives you a backyard home feel with the professionalism of one of the best out there. You can tell soon as he gets the camera in his hands it’s all business while making you feel relaxed if your camera shy like I am. It’s all about how you want to express yourself through pictures or telling a story in a video. If you want that once in a lifetime picture captured without worries Steve is the eye behind the lens I trust.

Steve was by far the most incredible photographer to work with!! He went above and beyond to make sure that our day was the best it could have possibly been. I am so thankful we got to work with Steve and have him be such a big part of our day. The video he made was just perfect and I can't wait to see our pictures! I would recommend Brilliant Captures to any and everybody!!!

I’ve struggled typing this review and have retyped it at least 5 times now because it’s so hard putting into words just how amazing Steve and Janell are! From the consultation to the wedding day, these two have been nothing but pleasant and have gone out of their way to help us in any way they can. The second we met them they were very warm and welcoming, which made it easier to stand in front of a camera (we’re very shy people and aren’t fond of having our pictures taken). They helped us create timelines, kept us positive and laughing in stressful times (It poured during our engagement shoot and rained 10 inches on our wedding day), responded within minutes of any text we sent, and even made it possible for us to have a videographer at our wedding! They are a delight to work with and a heaven send! The photos are breathtaking and something we will cherish forever! Thank you guys again for everything!

Where to even begin! Choosing the right photographer was a huge deal for me. We interviewed a few different ones, but when we met Steve and Janell, we knew right away that it was the right fit, booked, and never looked back. Steve picked our engagement session location, and completely knocked it out of the park with his pick. He completely understood our vision and what was important to us. The pictures turned out great and he was prompt in getting them to us. Over the course of the planning season, Steve was the vendor who went above and beyond. He was always there to answer a question if needed, and even visited our venue with us and talked through the whole flow of the day with us and then again with the venue staff. Even the venue commented on how awesome and helpful he was. Actual wedding day, Steve was our hero. Not only did he make everyone feel comfortable for pictures, but he gave guests plenty of direction and truly helped with the flow of the whole event. I had so many compliments on our photographer and how he was very helpful. Same as before, he took the time to understand what was important to us and made sure to get those sunset shot pictures I was dying for. He always made us feel comfortable and at ease in front of the camera. Brilliant Captures was the best choice we made and our favorite vendor. If you want great pictures AND a great experience, I HIGHLY recommend booking if they are available!

I’m a corporate event planner by day and I’ve collected a great list of vendors over the years. My go to photographers were booked on my wedding day and also really expensive. I was reffered to Steve and Janell by a coworker who used them for both her wedding videography and photography. From the intial phone to the day I recieved our wedding albums I was wowed. Their level of detail, planning and execution is unmatched. I can honestly say they are the absolute best vendor I’ve worked with. If you haven’t guessed — they are now my new go-to photographers for corporate events and you would be lucky to have them as part of your big day!! Amazing experience and amazing results! Brilliant Captures had a very professional crew and made directions simple and easy to follow. I and my groomsman were totally not excited about taking pictures but Steven and his photo crew made us ease out and relax. At some points even forgetting they were there! Everything felt natural and the pictures match that natural state. My wife is very pleased as well with how clean and sleek our pictures came out. Steve was so easy to work with. My fiance (now husband, yay!) was super awkward in front of the camera and not really looking forward to the shoot.
