Phoebe Browne walked us through the venue package, the catering options and the alcohol program in real detail, and — more importantly — told us what to actually expect. What's included and what isn't. How the day flows. What decisions we'd need to make and when. We came out of those early meetings knowing exactly what we had bought, which meant no surprises later and no scrambling three weeks out. If you've planned a wedding, you know how rare that is. Most venues hand you a PDF and let you sort it out yourself. She also helped us spend our money in the right places. One example: instead of a full open bar, we went with champagne toasts. It was the right call — it fit the feel of the evening, our guests loved it, and it freed up budget for things that mattered more to us. That's the kind of guidance you get when someone actually walks you through the options instead of just upselling the biggest package. They knew their lane on the day, and stayed in it. We had our own wedding planner, Brittany Pryor, running our timeline, and Briscoe's day-of coordination worked with her instead of against her. No turf war, no conflicting direction to our vendors, no confusion about who was calling what. Their team handled the venue side — setup, the spaces, the staff, the service — and let Brittany run the rest. For any couple bringing their own planner: this is exactly what you want from a venue, and a lot of them get it wrong. Getting the space the day before was a real advantage. Briscoe let us in a full day early for setup, and that took an enormous amount of pressure off. Brittany and our vendors had room to work, decor went up without anyone rushing, and we weren't fighting the clock on the wedding day. A lot of venues meter your load-in time or charge for it. Briscoe didn't, and it changed the entire feel of that morning. The value holds up. Transparent pricing from the first proposal, and the catering and bar options gave us real choices at different price points rather than one take-it-or-leave-it menu. When you total up what you'd pay assembling all of this separately at a raw venue, Briscoe came out ahead. he tasting, rehearsal, and finally our wedding day, Connie and Anna were helpful and responsive every step of the way, especially with all the questions I had along the process! The venue itself is beautiful, and we were even able to take our engagement photos there. We also loved the convenience of having both our outdoor ceremony and indoor reception in one location, along with the in-house catering and staff who took great care of everything related to the food and service.
