photographer - Not only are these memories that you will have forever, but my sister also advised that your photographer is literally with you every second of your wedding day, so it should be someone that you like :) I had seen Britta's work on Style Me Pretty, and she also came highly recommended from a friend. From our very first meeting, my husband and I knew that she was the one. Britta is so warm and friendly, makes you feel so comfortable, and she is SO talented. A few months before our wedding, we scheduled our engagement pictures (which were included free with our wedding package), and I was a little worried that I had selected too many locations (there are just too many great spots in Chicago!), but Britta was more than happy to hop all over the city taking the pictures we wanted, and she even suggested some great locations that we wouldn't have ever thought of. Towards the end of our engagement session, the weather became really windy and foggy, and Britta even suggested a follow-up session so that we could take more pictures in better weather. Her customer service was amazing. The day of our wedding, Britta was with us all day - from getting ready until the very last guest was shuttled home. She made us feel so comfortable through-out the day, and she made it incredibly easy to get amazing wedding shots. Before we met Britta, I remember something that frustrated me when researching other photographers was they way they would ask "Do you want more creative photos, or are you looking for more traditional wedding portraits?" I kept asking myself, CAN'T I HAVE BOTH?!?! I know I am biased, but our wedding portraits around the city are my favorite bridal pictures I've ever seen - However, some of my favorite pictures from the night are moments where Britta captured my husband and I laughing, looking at each other, holding hands, or busting a move on the dance floor. She does an incredible job of not only taking beautiful portraits that you will want to frame, but also capturing the candid, intimate, and beautiful moments from your wedding day. A few last things....Britta gives ALL rights to your pictures (none of that charging per picture nonsense), her turn-around time is amazing (we had our wedding photos by the time we were home from our honeymoon), and my bridesmaids keep asking if they can have her cell phone number because her personality makes everyone want to become best friends with her :) She is fantastic - Can't recommend her enough!

She has an amazing eye for background and lighting and even gave some of our photos a retro feel (which I love!!!). She was so wonderful to be around all day, and put me, and our wedding party, completely at ease with being in front of the camera a lot. She uploaded about 100 of our pictures to her blog within 5 days of the wedding, and we had access to all our photos within 2 weeks. She made it easy to download and share our photos with friends and family. I have people tell me all the time that my wedding pictures look like they belong in a magazine. I feel so lucky that I stumbled across her name! She went above and beyond, was flexible, easy to get a hold of, and didn't waste any time (Which is super important on the big day)! Even my MOH used her for her wedding! I would recommend her to anyone, and I will of course be using her for any big events here on out!

we are SO glad we did. As the title says, Britta was awesome! From the moment we met up with her she was very accommodating and enthusiastic. Our shoot wasn't the easiest because we wanted to go to several spots around the city, but Britta was there every step of the way. Oh...and the pictures?? Well they came out terrific. They were exactly what we were looking for both from how they looked to being able to download them afterwards. She is very talented and we couldn't be happier with how things turned out. The package was very affordable as well, especially for all the things we got in return. We definitely recommend Britta for any couple, both for engagement sessions and weddings.
