Your photographer is the person who will be around you for your entire wedding day, so if you don’t vibe with them, that’ll be hella awkward. I encourage my couples to always be honest and straightforward with me, not only so I can document your wedding day as beautifully as it happens, but also so I can be in your corner. I Wear Multiple Hats At A Wedding I am your photographer, but I’m also a mediator, a therapist, a boutonniere application expert, a hype-woman, and a cat-herder (I’m looking at you, bridal parties and extended family members). I’ll get the bridesmaids in place before your first look with them, help you with deep breaths before you walk down the aisle, and pull you away from talkative guests so you can get a moment alone. I’ll hype up the groomsmen with crude jokes and give them s**t (lovingly, of course). Looking After You I’ll make sure you have a beverage and snack while we’re doing family photos, run to hunt down wandering family members that we need for a photo, and make the kids in the photos laugh with silly faces and fart jokes. I’ll make friends with your moms and dads, because you’re getting married, but also, because they’re watching their children grow up and make a huge step before their eyes, and they may need some extra support too. I’ll direct you through the cake cutting, dance with you on the dance floor, and talk you through the grand exit so you know exactly what to do.
