Ashley has all the skills and gifts that make an amazing wedding photographer: she’s well-organized, great at time management, and prepared for anything. We had a tight schedule and sometimes had to work with difficult backgrounds, but Ashley didn’t just make it work—she made it look perfect and unhurried. Her bubbly and high-energy personality put everyone at ease, and made it comfortable for us to be ourselves. She gave clear directions without being too pushy or taking away from the moment, and has no trouble directing traffic. But what makes Ashley a cut above other amazing photographers is her heart for what she does. Photography is about more than beautiful images for Ashley—it’s about the capturing moments where we can see love with our eyes. Her intuition and attention to detail led her to catch so many beautiful "moments in between" that could have easily slipped by in the rush. Ashley was the most amazing photographer. I knew from our first phone call that she would make our day absolutely perfect and she did just that. She will be your biggest hype woman throughout the entire process, not to mention how talented she is! There are so many good things I could say about Ashley and her amazing work. She was so organized and accommodating. We talked multiple times about how I wanted wedding day to run, the pictures I most wanted and every little detail in-between. She even sent me a planner to ensure she captured all the pictures I wanted and with the guests/family I wanted. This made wedding day smooth and when I received the pictures back, all the moments were captures. She was amazing coordinating group shots, family pictures and first looks. I first met Ashley at my best friend's wedding where I was the Maid of Honor and I immediately fell in love. She is so professional and fun! She will make you feel like a million bucks! Once I got engaged, Ashley was the first vendor I booked! Ashley took my engagement photos, my bridal photos, and then shot my wedding. My husband and I are so awkward during photos but somehow Ashley channeled our inner models and my oh my our photos are flawless! The day of our wedding, it rained all morning. Ashley has been absolutely amazing from the very start! She knows what she’s doing that’s for sure! I went to school for production and design and have worked with the top entertainment company in the world….I say that because I tend to put photographers in the area under a little “test”. I went through 3 “photographers” before I found Ashley. From our first conversation, I was “talking to talk” to see if she can “walk the walk”. She impressed me from the start (opposed to the other 3 that had a fancy camera but didn’t have the knowledge needed to capture the perfect shot). I tell Ashley every day that she’s my dream photographer. I could not have imagined a more perfect experience than the one I have had with Ashley! My husband and I first met Ashley, when friends recommended her for couples photo shoot. She made taking pictures so fun and we absolutely loved working with her! All I can say is WOW. Ashley was absolutely everything and more that I ever could have wanted out of a wedding photographer. Ashley had no idea what she was getting herself into by agreeing to be my daughter’s wedding photographer! During the engagement photo session someone busted out her car window and stole her purse and cell phone. Then my daughter’s wedding was scheduled for 5/30/2020 but Covid had other plans. Ashley was so determined to make Miranda’s wedding experience as normal as possible under the circumstances. She located a very unique and beautiful location for her bridal portraits right in the middle of the shut down! Then when we were forced to reschedule the wedding to a later date on a Friday night Ashley didn’t think twice about it and shifted her schedule to capture the event perfectly! There aren’t enough words to adequately describe how incredible Ashley is! She is the most talented photographer around without a doubt. Not only can she take an amazing photo, but she also somehow captures each couple’s unique personality in each shot! My husband is extremely uncomfortable in front of the camera, but Ashley’s extraordinary ability to make even the most camera shy people feel at home had him feeling like a supermodel! I had the best experience with Ashely. She did everything from my engagements, bridals and wedding. My favorite thing about working with Ashley was that on the wedding day she had a plan. She knew exactly what photos to take and made everything happen in a planned fashion. She truly made my wedding day so much easier. She was available to jump in and help move things along the best she could. I also loved working with Ashley because she makes you feel beautiful, just as you should on your wedding day. All of my vendors were amazing, but Ashley was my favorite. There were 3 main things that really set her apart. 1. The quality of her photos. Every single one of my wedding pictures looks like it came out of a magazine. Even the picture of green beans served at my wedding reception looks incredible. She did such a great job staging all of the photos so that everyone looked good, and the lighting of every one of my pictures looked beautiful and soft. She made sure to take photos of everything I could have ever wanted a picture of - the dress, jewelry, venue details, rings, invitation, food, decor, ceremony, every composition of family members I could have ever wanted, dances, candids, bridal portraits, wedding party, getting ready, etc. Her attention to detail made it so that I didn't have to worry about whether or not she was going to get a picture of something. She also had so many great ideas for poses and had a great system for taking pictures efficiently. 2. Her attitude was amazing. She was so upbeat and energetic, which really made a difference when I was standing in the sun taking pictures for a couple hours. You can tell she really enjoys what she does and is passionate about it. She also made me and everyone else in the photos feel special and comfortable. She was constantly yelling out compliments and suggestions and made the experience really fun. She was able to wrangle all of my family members and get through photographing everyone, and still left everyone feeling happy. 3. She was super accommodating to any and all requests that I had. When I asked her to photograph my husband's and my class rings, she was happy to do so. When I asked if we could get a full family portrait of all of my husband's parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins - sure no problem. When I asked if I could recreate a special picture of my high school friends, done! When we wanted to take pictures in another part of the wedding venue to get a change of scenery, Ashley found a golf cart and drove us around herself. So all in all, I cannot recommend Ashley/ Broad River Photography enough. I have gotten so many compliments on my photos, and I can't wait to find another opportunity to use her services again in the future.

Ashley was phenomenal to work with! I was absolutely blown away by the pictures I received. However, I already knew her pictures were amazing, so it was other things about Ashley that impressed me the most. She has done many weddings and you can tell in her work ethic. The wedding atmosphere can get chaotic and she worked through it with ease capturing each moment I wanted. My wedding was a challenge! The weather did not cooperate so everything got moved inside. I had my heart set on getting some shots outside so without me asking she brought an umbrella, and watched the weather all day for opportunities to go out. She worked In a room full of guests and still got all our family portraits done within 10-15 minutes. She was probably the most efficient person i have met. She got things done quick in chaos, while still remaining calm, smiling, rearranging things quick because of circumstances, and still providing me perfect pictures! You can tell she knows what she’s doing because she acts quick and has a solution for every “bump in the road”. No matter what you can trust you will get quality pictures with her. Her prices are great and very reasonable, she is extremely sociable, and easy to work with. She even shouted compliments at me the whole time I was behind the lense and it loosened me up! From the first time we had a phone call conference with Ashley, her energy and passion about her work is evident. From the beginning, she was so helpful and communicative with us; from sending us a "style guide" to help us decide what to wear/what photographs best for our engagement pictures, to working closely and seamlessly with our other wedding vendors before our wedding and on our wedding day to ensure every special moment was captured. For our engagement picture shoot in Charleston, SC, Ashley was such a trooper trekking all over the city with multiple cameras to find various/perfect backdrops, and her enthusiasm never faltered. On our wedding day I didn't have to worry about anything-Ashley was there early as promised to scope out the best spots, worked well with alternating the photo taking between the detail shots, the groomsmen, and the bridal party since we were in the hot SC heat in July! For a bride to not have to give a fleeting thought about whether or not she is getting enough pictures is PRICELESS, especially when there are so many other things you are thinking about on the big day. After the ceremony, when we were mingling with our guests, one of them described her to me as a "photography fairy", and I think that description couldn't be more fitting! She is so enthusiastic, sweet as can be, and has the energy to make you keep smiling throughout the whole photography process (this is coming from someone who doesn't consider herself very photogenic/isn't crazy about having her photos taken). Took engagements with Ashley and it was the most fun my fiancé and I have ever had! Even though it was misty/ threatening to rain, Ashley was so positive, relaxed, and upbeat.
