roductory phone call, we knew she was exactly who we wanted to photograph our wedding. She was flexible, professional, empathetic and such a calming presence. Our wedding was in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and despite everything going on, Brooke made our day feel completely special and unique. Our guest list consisted of just our immediate family but having Brooke there felt more like working with a close friend than with a vendor. Her kind and patient demeanor made everyone feel so comfortable and at ease in front of the camera (a true feat in our family). My mom still regularly asks how Brooke and her family are doing-she truly won everyone over. She went above and beyond on our calls before the wedding, throughout the entire day as well as when delivering the finished album. We were blown away by her attention to detail, her personability and as well as her ability to make us feel like the most authentic versions of ourselves on the big day. She captured every single shot that we wanted and all of the shots we didn't know we needed but are now so grateful to have. At our initial meeting, we sat and talked for probably close to 2 hours and I left feeling like I just made a new friend! Leading up to the wedding, she walked me through every detail so I knew what to expect the day of the wedding. I am a teacher and I invited my students to my ceremony. Well, a group of them showed up (even though the school year was over and it was summer vacation). I told Brooke I did not want to stay at the church for any pictures, except for one with my students if there were any there. Well, she pulled me around to the side of the church (so I could get away from the crowd) scoured the pews after the ceremony for any little kids and told them, "Miss Hile is hiding and waiting for you to come take a picture with her." That picture, that moment, is one I will never forget. I have it framed on my desk at school and on the days I forget why I became a teacher, it reminds me. erfect wedding photographer. I am beyond thrilled that I did. I live out of state so I first met Brooke over skype. She is so bubbly and personable. She knows that this is not an investment to be taken lightly and that she will be capturing the love, joy and beauty on the biggest day of your life. I was so comfortable after an hour of skyping that I felt like we were already friends. I was supposed to chat with another photographer the next day but my fiance and I decided that night to go with Brooke and canceled our other appt. My fiance and I recently had our engagement session with Brooke in NYC. Brooke and I spoke several times leading up to the session regarding locations, details, best time and light, etc. I became pretty concerned leading up to the day of the shoot as the forecast was gloomy at best. Brooke called me the morning of and we debated for a while whether to cancel. Since we were in town from San Francisco and I had already purchased a giant polka dot umbrella, we decided to proceed. Brooke showed up at Grand Central with a huge smile on her face and was nothing but positive and upbeat all day despite showers here and there. The best part of all - in the world of photography, the lighting on our gloomy day was absolutely perfect! In fact, perhaps better than a really sunny day. We had so much fun shooting with Brooke all over Manhattan and Brooklyn. I think the best part about Brooke that day was that she was just as excited as we were about every aspect of the day. It felt like we were hanging out with a friend or family member that just happened to be a truly gifted photographer. She does an amazing job of capturing the classic iconic picture, yet manages to put her own modern twist on it. She is enthusiastic to the exact level you would want without being over the top. We love her! We just received the disc in the mail with our engagement photos and I am beyond pleased with how amazing they all are.
