She delivered so many incredible photos that really told the story of our perfect wedding day. Brooke is organized, responds promptly, professional, reliable, and her work is incredible - she is very talented. But what was equally as important to me as great photos (engagement and day of wedding) was how wonderful of a person she is. She was kind, calming, fun and encouraging. She made taking photos fun and breezy. In the midst of wedding chaos, she is an island of calm. She also carried my 12 year old Shih Tzu around on our wedding day going back and forth between bride/groom photos, and it was the sweetest thing. If you want wedding/engagement photos that perfectly capture your relationship and all the people you love, Brooke is the photographer for you.

Hey there! I’m Brooke — a Kansas City native, storyteller, and your easy-going hype lady behind the lens! I specialize in wedding, engagement, and family photography, capturing love with elegance, authenticity, and heart.
When you hire me, you’re not just getting a photographer for one day — you’re getting a photographer for life. I adore staying connected with my couples and documenting every chapter of their journey. Many of my wedding clients come back for family photos, anniversaries, and all the beautiful milestones in between — and that’s truly my favorite part of what I do.
Based in Lee’s Summit, MO, I work with couples all across the Kansas City area — but I’m always down to travel!
I’m also a wife of ten years ( I sure do love that good-lookin man), mom to four beautiful, wild girls, a former fine arts major, and a middle school art teacher turned photographer. My background as both a mom, artist, and educator has given me a deep love for people — and the ability to embrace the chaos, connect with ease, and bring calm confidence to every wedding I document.

She kept taking photos and even accompanied us to our small reception at The Classic Cup to take more photos after everyone got drenched. My husband Lyle was looking at one of our wedding photos the other day and marveled at how happy I look. He said, "How did I do that?!" I was never one to dream about the day I got married. I didn't start to plan anything until I found my guy and had the ring on my hand. One of the first, if not the first, vendors ...
I wanted to find was a photographer. (Heck, I found a photographer before we knew what wedding date we wanted!) I knew, as an artist, that this would have one of the biggest influences on how I would look back and remember our wedding day. After looking online and finding Brooke I knew I had to book her. I scanned with my artistic eye and saw that I was not going to have to re-edit her work, I saw her ability to frame moments and capture the details that I was going to put time into. All that I was hoping to find in a photographer was in front of me.
We hired her for both our engagement and wedding pictures. Her work is incredible! When we received our engagement pictures I cried! She had captured the sweetness of our relationship on camera and those were moments we could cherish for a lifetime! She did such a great job that she made our job of picking our favorites nearly impossible!! ( I know what a problem to have!!)
On our wedding day, she came in, calm, smiling, and was able to read the feel of the room effortlessly! She was engaging, relaxing, and truly such a great addition to an already amazing day! She was able to capture moments of our guests that we were unaware that happened. Sweet moments of our grandparents, family members, and all the time being respectful knowing her job was to be there for us! Her impressive professionalism is only rivaled by her abilities behind a camera and computer screen!

I really wanted our wedding to feel romantic and cozy as it was taking place in January. She captured those feelings perfectly. She also made my husband and I so relaxed in front of the camera. She captured moments that made me feel so beautiful! Brooke was with us the entire day which was such a blessing with our spread out wedding schedule! She was also getting ready to go on maternity leave after our wedding and got our photos back to us super fast (before her maternity leave) which was just so kind of her to think of us during such a busy and exciting time in her life!

I felt so comfortable knowing she was going to be our photographer day of. She was able to make my then fiancé smile, laugh and have a good time - which is hard to come for someone who hates to be photographed. We loved our photos from our engagement shoot and had a quick turnaround. I am a COVID bride and unfortunately had to reschedule my wedding. Working with Brooke to make the switch was easy and she was always quick to respond. She was always there to answer any questions before our big day and checked in with us before the wedding. On the day of our wedding she was the best person to have as our photographer. She arrived before I did and was already taking pictures. Brooke had the BEST personality to be working with our group. She was fun, enjoyable and got us to have fun during our pictures so we have some amazing candids. Brooke also worked really well with my videographer and had the dynamic duo on my team so it made it easy to have them work together along side each other. our pared down, two-weeks-notice, Zoom-enabled, intimate ceremony in the Crossroads District. Photos were important to us, no matter what kind of day we ended up having, and Brooke was able to help us create a vision for capturing the day. She was really helpful thinking about practical things like timeline and safety measures (like masks and distancing), while also making recommendations and suggestions for post-ceremony photo locations that would help us capture a beautiful visual story. The format of our wedding completely changed from plan A to plan B. Brooke was flexible and so POSITIVE about joining us, whatever our plans. She took care of everything, so we didn't have to worry about anything related to our photography the day of. The results were so beautiful. She curated the best of our photos to tell a story about us and our beautiful, intimate downtown KC wedding. We felt like we had plenty of images to choose from while creating our prints and albums. 10/10 would recommend Brooke to any couple or family looking for a talented photographer who is also efficient, organized, professional, and reliable.

and how they look light and airy. A true professional, she responds to emails/calls/texts quickly and was flexible when rescheduling our engagement photos multiple times due to COVID and weather. My fiance and I can feel/look slightly awkward at times (especially in photos!) but Brooke had us pose and move about in a way that looked very natural. Brooke is so down to earth and makes you feel comfortable. I remember telling my bridesmaids how excited I was that Brooke was doing out wedding because we loved her from our engagement shoot. After the wedding my MOH and Matron of Honor both told me how much they loved Brooke. She goes above and beyond what she needs to make sure your day and your photos are perfect. When people overstayed their time in the room I was supposed to get ready in, Brooke politely kicked them out so I could get ready! When my husband put his arm in our cake and had frosting all over his suit, Brooke wiped him off! When a drink was split on our dance floor, Brooke helped clean it up. Brooke is quick at editing and we got our wedding photos back a little over a month after our wedding and all of them look AMAZING, it's honestly hard to pick which ones we want to print. I love the fact she got all the big, important moments but I also love how she took detail shots because I didn't get a chance to enjoy all the little things on our big day. When we need photos taken in the future we know who to call!

She took family photos for us this past December and was so flexible with us and patient and we LOVE our new family photos. She also just shot my mother’s wedding on May 11, 2019. Brooke gave incredible instructions to help us relax and take the best photos possible, while trying different poses than we would have thought to take so that we would get an amazing variety of photos. These photos exceeded our expectations and we can't wait to have Brooke take photos at our wedding!
