Brooke Shehan Events

stress free and smooth wedding weekend. Highly recommend!

massive rainstorm hit just before our ceremony, Brooke’s calm and composed nature kept everything on track. Her incredible organization, preparation, and deep knowledge of local vendors made working with her and them seamless. We couldn’t have done it without her—she truly made our dream wedding a reality. Highly recommend Brooke for anyone looking for an exceptional coordinator!

grateful for her and her team ❤️

nized. She asks great questions, offers a level-headed perspective for the world of wedding planning, and consistently exhibits a “can-do” attitude. Whenever my wife and I expressed a need to follow through on a wedding planning to-do list item, Brooke calmly told us, that she’ll “take care of it”. From our first phone call, to the wedding venue walkthrough, to the week leading up to the wedding, up until the final moments of the wedding celebration, Brooke remained an invaluable resource to us. Brooke is a fantastic wedding planner. She personifies the expression, “cool, calm, and collected”. We greatly appreciated her help with our wedding and highly recommend her to other couples in need of a wedding planner.

rried in the past four years, all with various coordinators, and Brooke was by far the best of them all. Brooke made so much effort to learn about our wedding day vision and ensured that she achieved what we wanted. Her vendor recommendations were top-notch and we received so many compliments from our friends and family members about each vendor (all while not breaking our budget!). On the day of our wedding, Brooke was on her game. Everything carried on smoothly and it allowed my partner and I to relax and take it all in. Seeing how organized and thoughtful Brooke was made us have so much trust in her! I can’t praise her enough for all of her hard work and positive energy through this whole process. Wedding planning can certainly be a stressful time, but having Brooke helped me relax and trust that everything would work out- and it certainly did!

ubt that Brooke would take care of all the details during the planning process! She was by far the best vendor of our wedding and I recommend her 1,000%

ly. We couldn’t have done it without her. Highly recommend Brooke—she is truly incredible!

edule needs. She was extremely organized, responsive, and knew exactly how to make me feel less stressed leading up to the big day. She gave excellent recommendations throughout the entire process and went above and beyond to get information from my other vendors and execute all the design/plans for our day. Brooke checked in on us throughout the entire day to make sure we were happy/to see if we needed anything, and helped fix my bouquet and bustle multiple times. The day felt so smooth, and if there were any issues, I have no idea that they happened! If you are looking for a coordinator in the Lexington area, I cannot recommend her enough!

alm, cool, and collected demeanor throughout the entire process. There are countless ways Brooke ensured our wedding planning process and the big day itself went as smoothly as possible. To name just a few, she created and maintained an organized Google Drive Shared Folder with all of our important documents, took control with all vendor communications, followed up on important details to ensure nothing was missed, suggested means to help us save money, responded to every single email within 24 hours (I am not exaggerating), and more. I could seriously write all day about how much Brooke helped us!! The quality of Brooke's services on a scale of 1-10 is at minimum, an 11. She is the definition of a superhuman! We cannot recommend her enough. Brooke: thank you SO much for everything!!!

g and Brooke certainly rose to the occasion. Just being able to be present for my daughters big day and not have to answer questions or worry about a thing meant more to me than I could ever express in this review. Brooke was knowledgeable, very responsive to all my emails leading up to the big day, calmed any anxiety I had and was an absolute pleasure to work with. I could not have made my daughter’s wedding “the wedding of her dreams” without Brooke and her team’s assistance and for that I am forever grateful.

two hours from their home. Brooke Shehan was an incredible asset to the planning of their wedding, and, just as importantly, the day of the ceremony. My daughter’s wedding day had no stress and was an absolutely flawless event. If a bride is planning a wedding, particularly in the Lexington area, I’d say that Brooke is the smart choice! We loved her!

sted in our day as we were! She responded quickly, thought of things we never would have until it was too late and was overall a joy to work with! Book her ASAP!!!!

ran smoothly. It was easy to "pass the reins" to someone as caring, organized, and friendly as Brooke on our wedding day!

sful than we anticipated and Brooke really saved us. Our wedding was also completely off grid, in the middle of nowhere, with no cell service/plumbing/water so she jumped through a lot of hoops when it came to vendors and logistics. She is so thorough and made sure that we were 100% happy with everything. Brooke was absolutely worth it and I am so so glad we went with her!

work with and very helpful throughout the planning process. She has some amazing vendor relationships. Brooke made our big day a dream come true. You will not be disappointed!

ery area!). She took care of all the details so that on the day of my wedding, I truly could soak in every second of it and not have a care in the world. If I had a dollar for every time she thought of something important that I definitely would have forgotten about, I'd have over a 100 dollars by now!

nailed our vision 100% and made it even better than we could have imagined! She was so easy to work with and she was very responsive and was on top of everything so I didn't have to worry about a thing! She is such a joy to work with and is such a kind person.

te and even helped to be a liaison between me and my other vendors. This is super helpful when you have a lot of vendors. I would have been so stressed without her help to set up and break down all of my decorations, as well! Brooke is so kindhearted and helped to ease my nerves throughout the planning process. She is so dedicated to her work and was committed to helping us have the best day ever. I could not recommend her more!!

nagement expertly. On our wedding day, she took care of all the details so smoothly, was very kind to work with, and relieved our planning stress well before the big day!

r out and Brooke helped with every detail big and small. Brooke is kind, professional, and very organized! She made me feel stress free with everything and was a big help in making our big day special! I knew we were in good hands from the start. Our wedding day felt like a dream!

nown needed to be done that she took care of with ease. On the wedding day I knew all I had to do was get ready and have fun, there were no other tasks on my plate. I knew I could trust her completely that things would be done well. Many of our vendors told us what a good choice we had made in hiring Brooke, she is clearly well connected and well respected in the Shenandoah Valley wedding community. We are happy the wedding planning is over but a little sad we don't get to talk to Brooke anymore!

nd beautiful as I had always imagined. She was attentive, detail oriented, and truly there to make our day everything we've always dreamed of and more. In addition to being the most amazing at wedding planning, we could truly tell that she genuinely cared for our day to be as best as it could be, always being so kind and encouraging. Brooke was one of the best decisions we made in wedding planning and it made our day the most magical and special day of our lives! :)

xington area and central Virginia, she helped us book our entire vendor team and helped us feel confident about each category of vendors. She is SUPER organized and on top of communication. Brooke created a detailed timeline to make sure the day went smoothly, a detailed budget to make sure we didn't miss a single payment. Don't know where to start with your seating chart? She has a template for that. Above all else, Brooke is such a kind and sweet person. At the end of it all, after the wedding day fades and you get back from your honeymoon, you will be left with a sweet friend.

oes exactly as planned. She is patient (we made many changes not by choice), professional, and thorough. She is always responsive and gets in back in touch very quickly. She has worked with many of the vendors in the area and has wonderful recommendations if needed. In addition, she has great working relationships with them which makes coordinating with the numerous vendors much easier. She is also very familiar with the venues and their current rules/policies which is so helpful. She goes above and beyond for her brides and their families to make sure that every detail is taken care of. Highly recommend Brooke Shehan to take care of your wedding coordinator needs!

the final month of wedding planning with ease and confidence. We can't imagine doing our wedding without her. She's also just super sweet and constantly made us feel like a million bucks. We also appreciated how she was willing to work with us based on our vision, and was committed to executing it along with her helpful team. Everyone- from our parents to our bridal party- was grateful for Brooke's guidance during the rehearsal and the day of. She was friendly and organized, and put everyone at ease. We 100% recommend Brooke for any special occasion you may be planning, but especially for your special day!

ts, and we knew at the first meeting that she was the right choice. Very personable, a good listener, proactive, and kept us organized and informed. She and her team had us prepared for every move on wedding day, and table decorations were exquisitely done. They also stayed late after the wedding to break down and pack up. We thank Brooke for making our daughter's wedding day perfect!

even secretly worked with my brother to plan a surprise dance without me having a CLUE. She truly went above and beyond and all with a smile on her face! I think everyone needs Brooke as part of their wedding!

out our experience with Brooke. They say that only a spare amount of people in this world find a profession that was truly meant for them, and I mean it with every fiber of my being when I say that Brooke has found hers. Brooke was of course incredibly professional, timely, organized, has well-established connections with any vendor you could ever need, and so much more, but what truly sets Brooke apart for me is her uncanny ability to make you and your partner feel warm, loved, appreciated, and excited to share in this special planning time. It’s an ability that can’t be taught, and deserves to be recognized on the highest level. She is able to smooth out any bump with grace, and she’s the most supportive, and kind planner I could ever imagine. I can see her pulling any and every wedding dream into fruition without fault or fail for all couples. If you’re able to plan with Brooke, rest easy knowing that you have the BEST planner in the business, and all of your wedding dreams will come true. Ours was an absolute perfect day down to the last detail, and I know in my heart that the cause was due to her abilities.

ur wedding so organized- from the decorations and the flowers, to the music and flow of the reception she was on TOP OF IT! Her communication with vendors was amazing and allowed me to relax on my special day.

rooke to plan both our smaller COVID wedding last year, and our larger celebration a year later in October 2021, and simply put, Brooke is absolutely the best! Her attention to detail, responsiveness, professionalism, wisdom, and sincere kindness is unmatched, and we'd enthusiastically, and without hesitation, recommend Brooke Shehan Events to any couple looking for a wedding planner! To answering all of our emails, providing seamless and supportive recommendations and flexibility during our initial COVID wedding planning shifts, providing quality vendor recommendations, and assistance during day-of-coordination, our experience was incredible. Brooke puts her heart into her work, and sincerely cares about the couples she works alongside-we're so glad we got the privilege of working with her for both of our events! Thank you, thank you Brooke for such a wonderful experience with BSE.

bride needs Brooke in their life!! I knew from our first conversation that she was going to be amazing - going above and beyond to make our dream wedding a reality! She leaves no detail behind and through any curve balls in the planning process, she was kind and calm and always came up with a solution. I left every meeting we had feeling so confident and so much less stressed! Brooke truly cares about you as a person and about your wedding day vision. I can say with 100% confidence that we could not have planned our wedding without Brooke! If I could give her 20 stars I would because that's what she deserves. Brooke is also one of the most genuinely kind people I know and I am so lucky to call her my friend! I truly cannot thank Brooke enough for all that she did for our wedding day. If I could give you one piece of advice for planning your wedding, it would be to hire Brooke! I promise you will be SO thankful you did!!

involved in every aspect of planning so she did not miss a detail. She would answer my text messages late at night or even early morning emails with silly questions. I’m so thankful for her and her team. Brooke not only was my favorite wedding vendor but has became a great friend.

rldly wedding planner. I am so sad writing this knowing that the wedding is now over because we no longer get to work with her. I cannot even begin to say enough great things about this amazing lady. Planning our wedding was immensely stressful during Covid, but Brooke was there every step of the way to make sure everything went smoothly leading up to and during the most perfect day we could have ever dreamed of. She genuinely cares about you and makes you feel like you’re her only client. She even stopped by on our wedding day with a bottle of champagne just to check in and say hi! She is so kind and caring that she actually started working with me even before our package started because she knew how stressful everything was and always wanted to check in and offer ways to help out in any way possible. She listened to and flawlessly executed every single thing I said. I would email her at rapid speed everything going through my mind trying to keep my head on straight with all of the details (and boy did I have a lot), and she would be right there with prompt organized responses that always eased my mind and made the planning feel secure (and it always was because we had her). I felt comfortable working with her and and she basically became more of a friend than a vendor. Brooke made our wedding EXACTLY as we always dreamed, so good that it’s hard to believe it was a reality and not still a dream. I can’t thank Brooke enough for everything she did for us. Please please please do yourself a favor and book her. It will hands down be the best wedding planning decision you make!!!

ll melt away! Brooke Shehan is hands down amazing and our wedding day was flawless because of her!! Hire her for whatever your needs are and I promise your expectations will be exceeded and then some. My expectation for her as a wedding planner went above and beyond what was asked for. What you get with Brooke has everything to do with how great of a person she is, in addition to her experienced skill set. Hiring a wedding planner requires a great deal of trust; you have to trust that they are reliable, can get the job done efficiently and smoothly leading up to and day of, and ability to see your vision. Brooke exceeded this and so much more and I will tell you why. I hired her for month of coordination, as I generally knew what I wanted/needed but having a destination wedding I needed the extra help to coordinate not to mention coordinate day of. She was helpful from the get go an entire year out from our date and her help with little details prior to was my literally my second brain. I can't emphasize enough how much Brooke is a literal mind reader/magician. Which was SO helpful. In addition to this, Brooke is one of the kindest, thoughtful individuals I have ever met and is very easy to get along with. I knew instantly after our first conversation, reading careful reviews, and browsing her thoughtful and well planned website that she was the right person for the job. Brooke was able to coordinate with my vendors from afar (where I couldn't), understand what I needed on day of, and flawlessly execute what was asked. I am a little bit of a type A girl, and I can't communicate enough because of Brooke's attention to detail, effective communication skills, expertise and experience, how easy it was for me to let go and let her do what she does because she is trustworthy and just that good. Our wedding day went off without a hitch! Furthermore, at the end of the day it was nice to be able to get to know someone as sweet as her. I would shout it from the roof tops if I could, but if you need a wedding planner hire Brooke! I recommend at least doing month of coordination as I did as there is so much that goes into a wedding, that last month of coordination is crucial and it was great to have someone I could trust help me with it. Thank you, Brooke, From the bottom of my (and Troy's!) heart! Also, cost wise she is very affordable and worth EVERY penny (if you can even put a dollar amount on a heart of gold). As a girl that scoured many reviews prior to her big day, I promise hiring Brooke is one less thing you have to think about and you will NOT go wrong.

rocess so easy and was there to help us every step of the way. From hiring and contacting vendors to ensuring the perfect wedding timeline and coordination, Brooke left no detail unnoticed. Along with her professionalism and attention to detail, Brooke is one of the SWEETEST people you will ever meet in your life. She truly cares about her couples and wants to make sure they are happy and that their vision is implemented perfectly. We will forever be grateful for the role she played in making our wedding day a dream come true. We love you, Brooke!

and helped us with each step, small or large, along the way leading up to our very big day. The journey to that special moment when my now husband and I got to say "I Do" was not an easy one. The world faced a pandemic. Our family faced loss of my father. When things finally started to turn around Gov. Northam placed new restrictions on the state just one week prior to our big day forcing us to go into complete panic and come up with an on the spot plan B. How did we get through it all you may wonder...? Well, Brooke. She was so much more than a wedding planner for me this year, she has become like a dear friend. When she reached out to share her condolences it felt sincere and as if she had known me for years not a few months. When the heartbreaking news came about the new restrictions she reached out immediately. She consoled me, empathized with me, contacted all my vendors, she became my voice when I couldn't form words if I tried. Again, her warmth shines through and truly made us feel so cared for, not just a vendor to client relationship but one human being caring for another. It didn't stop there...she continued to deliver the impossible. Wedding plan "B" immediately went into play and Brooke didn't skip a beat. She poured herself into all the details and coordination of a 6 day notice for a new wedding solely so my husband and I could have the most magical day...and let me tell you...it was FABULOUS. I am still in such shock at how amazing everything turned out and am wondering if she has real life magical powers. Brooke is generous, kind, warm, the sweetest and cutest, caring, professional, compassionate, organized, an amazing listener, and she is client first 100%. She will go above and beyond for you and your husband/wife to be. She will make you feel like you are her #1 client, like you are her only client and your wedding is as important to her as her own was. She is without question the worlds greatest wedding planner. I am so beyond blessed that Brooke came into our lives and incredibly grateful that we get to CONTINUE to work with her as we reschedule our post-poned Fall 2020 wedding for Spring 2021. Bringing BSE to our vendor team was the best decision we made when planning our wedding. My words truly don't do this amazing woman the justice she deserves. I'm kind of obsessed with her...that's how you know SHE IS GREAT!

ed! Brooke is so on top of everything it is unbelievable. From keeping up with all the vendors, to creating a timeline, to reminding us the things we need to stay on top of, she does it all! If you want to save yourself some time and some stress you need to hire Brooke! If you want a fantastic person to run point for your big day, Brooke is your person. On top of all that, she is so friendly and sweet, there could not be a nicer person to work with. We'd give her 10 stars out of 5 if we could! Brooke is amazing!

t choice because how quickly she was able to share our wedding vision. She was extremely relatable, which was ideal for us as a more laid-back couple. She made us feel like we were the only couple in the world getting married; she made us feel like a priority. After meeting with Brooke in person, we knew we made one of the smartest choices in our wedding planning career by hiring her. We are from Norfolk, but got married in Charlottesville. Since we weren’t local to the area, we didn’t know any vendors. Brooke was able to recommend multiple vendors – and never pressured us to go with anyone specific. We did use some recommended vendors by Brooke and they were amazing! She was also able to work perfectly with our other outside vendors. She provided detailed vendor specific timelines to everyone and managed contact with them. Our DJ was a relative, who told us specifically how impressed he was with her timeline. Brooke’s vast wedding experience is a true gift because she was able to predict where potential problems could occur on our wedding day, and allowed us to be prepared and avoid all the typical wedding day stresses. I can honestly say our wedding was perfect. She was incredibly patient and detail oriented when we discussed the vision of our ceremony and reception décor. When the Wedding Day came, Brooke made our vision come to life! Our wedding was unique due to Hurricane Florence forcing us to delay out original wedding by 2 months, and Brooke stayed with us through it all. Brooke reached out to all our vendors and kept everyone in the loop with the date change. In a way, she planned 2 weddings for us! The week before our new wedding date, Brooke was on her own personal vacation but still found time to e-mail with us regularly. She truly cares about her couples. Bottom line: Hire Brooke! She’s a talented and professional wedding coordinator – but even more, she’s a genuine wonderful person who wants to give every couple their happily ever after.
