Brooklyn Arts Center was the perfect venue for our wedding day! BAC had us in awe from the moment we pulled up. The entire grounds are absolutely beautiful and it truly was the best, most perfect spot for our special day. Jay and the entire BAC staff were extremely friendly, professional, responsive, offering to help and give vendor suggestions from day one. They made us feel like we were their only wedding because of the amount of attention and dedication they gave us during the entire wedding planning process. Brooklyn Arts Center is not only historic and gorgeous, but it also has so much space for getting ready and relaxing leading up to the wedding, which was a wonderful bonus! We were highly impressed with everything from day one and are so grateful that the BAC staff did everything to make our day one we will never forget. We can’t wait to come back!
I absolutely love Brooklyn Arts Center! It was an absolute joy to work with this venue for Casey & Kelsey’s big day. The venue is a photographers dream, filled with so many special spots and beautiful natural light for photographs. The staff was incredibly kind and professional. My couple had so many nice things to say about working with the staff behind Brooklyn Arts Center. They were courteous and helpful to all vendors and guests. I highly recommend this venue! Brooklyn Arts Center, you are loved by Jillian Knight Photography!
The Brooklyn Arts Center is absolutely stunning, in the perfect location in Downtown Wilmington. It is walking distance to hotels, restaurants, bars and all the other attractions in the Downtown area. The staff at the venue is great, and Rich, the Venue Manager is there for any questions, and ample support for your wedding planning process.
We absolutely loved this venue! Honestly, it was not on our list of venues we were interested in at first. We visited during Courtyards and Cobblestones in 2018 and completely fell in love! We booked The Annex a few weeks later, and two months ago had a beautiful wedding day! Rich is the onsite contact and he is so positive and accommodating. He even let me come in one day during the week and take my bridal portraits in The Annex! There is so much that can be done in this venue, but its just warm and romantic on its own.
WHAT AN AMAZING VENUE!!!! First of all, this beautiful, historical church is an absolutely amazing place to be married and is so rich with history and culture. Secondly, Rich the coordinator is a wonderful person who will make your life so easy. He convinced my family and I right away that this was the place for us. You can have everything you could possibly want and he recommends the highest quality vendors. He isn't pushy and truly wants to make sure that the BAC is right for YOU. I was supposed to have my bridal portraits taken outside at another location and the weather was freezing, the ground was wet, and I probably would have ruined my dress. I emailed Rich at the last minute and desperately asked if we could use the Brooklyn Arts Center and he was so accommodating. We were able to shoot my portraits there with no time limit and when it was convenient for us. His assistant Austin was also equally accommodating and kind. Our wedding day went fabulously and when Rich tells you he does "perfect" weddings it's not a joke. Our wedding was perfect. Thank you so much to Rich, Austin, and the whole BAC team! You guys were amazing.
I recently was married at the Annex, the smaller of the two venues at the Brooklyn Arts Center. We ended up with about 88 guests and the space was perfectly sized. Small enough to feel intimate but not crammed. I absolutely LOVED our wedding at the Annex!! All week I’ve been grieving that it’s over. It really was the most fun and beautiful weekend and I am SO SO impressed with all the vendors. Rich, the executive director at the venue, is very particular and is so invested in the perfection of the event. He has specific recommends for different vendors and there is good reason for it. They are FANTASTIC. My entire family cannot stop commenting on just how fantastic the entire event was. My husband and I and both our families and al friends were traveling from out of town. The venue is downtown close to hotels and restaurants and shopping. The Annex is nice because the ceremony, reception, and cocktail hour can all be held their. This involved a “flipping” of the ceremony space into the reception during cocktail hour, which was AMAZING and went flawlessly thanks to Rich and my wedding planner, Maggie Tyson (Coastal Confetti). It rained the entire day of my wedding and it didn’t even matter since all spaces used were inside. The Annex is now so special to me, I still cannot get over how great it was. The wedding exceeded all my expectations in every way, i loved everyone we worked with. The day was perfect and I felt like a queen!!
Very picturesque. I was in the Annex, which is definitely intended for smaller weddings. It was perfect for my wedding of ~90 guests. My wedding was a few weeks after Hurricane Florence and they worked worked diligently on the repairs between the storm and my wedding. I am very appreciative of their dedication. Rich also had excellent vendor recommendations and was always available when I had questions.
Brooklyn Arts Center is the best! I would have my wedding there over and over again. It's a beautiful venue with indoor and outdoor space, accommodates a larger number of people, and Rich Leder (who runs the venue) is so amazing to work with.
When you book the church, it includes the courtyard (outdoor space) as well as "The Manse," which is the house next to the venue that the bridal party can use that day to get ready in!
There are preferred vendors, and you must have a wedding coordinator when using BAC. I appreciate that because it's part of what makes weddings there the best. Rich is on top of it and wants you to have the best wedding ever!
I would highly recommend this venue. Book way in advance if you're interested because it does book up really fast!
I was an out of town bride, and not being close to my venue or having vendors my friends could recommend made me nervous. Rich was amazing with helping me think of things I might be forgetting, and he had great recommendations for vendors previous brides had positive experiences with. Everyone at the wedding was talking about how beautiful the venue is! It was an absolute dream. The bridal suite is a huuuge plus, as well. It was the perfect space to get ready in, and nobody felt crowded- even with 7 bridesmaids, 2 moms and an aunt. The venue is so versatile and you can really make any vision come alive. Whether you drape every inch of the place or leave it completely bare- it is completely gorgeous. I loved that I could decorate it to my unique taste and that no two weddings look the same there. All of the vendors I worked with told me how lucky I was to be getting married there and how much they loved doing weddings there. All biases aside, Brooklyn Arts Center weddings truly are the best! Your guests will be wowed and you and your spouse will feel like royalty!
We had the absolute perfect wedding here this June- Thanks Rich... couldn’t recommend more !
Rich Leder and his team at the Brooklyn Arts Center made our day and the days leading up to the wedding so special! He allowed me to have my bridal portraits taken at the venue and was more than accommodating throughout the entire process! Our reservation covered nearly 15 hours for the entire day! The annex has a bridal suite that my girls and family took full advantage of! We were able have a morning brunch as well as room for my hairdresser & make up artist to get everyone ready in time for our big evening! They also allowed my husband and I to bring in our own alcohol for the wedding to lower some of the costs for the dinner. I cannot say enough about the facility! It has such potential and there are so many combinations of decorations to be used, but the building itself is perfect for your wedding, reception, or big event. Rich promised me a perfect wedding and that is EXACTLY what my husband Jesse and I had- I have no regrets in choosing Rich and his team!
I can’t say enough positive things about the BAC!! Our daughter was married there on 3/17 and it was beautiful. Rich Leder, the director couldn’t have been more kind, responsive, or enthusiastic! When Rich first took us on a tour, my daughter kept standing behind him and put her fingers into the shape of a heart! So needless to say, BAC was the venue we chose, and we are so glad you did! When you choose BAC, as Rich would say, you will have a perfect day. I guarantee it!!
Our venue was perfect! The owner Rich gave us so many resources, tips, and ideas to help us create the perfect wedding. I loved the beauty of the church with it's stained glass windows and the brick exterior. I knew it was the right choice for our reception immediately. The courtyard is intimate and was perfect for the ceremony we envisioned. I loved the greenery and the flowers. Being able to get ready in the house at the same location was such a convenience.
I couldn't have found a more perfect venue for our big day. Growing up in Wilmington, NC there are so many gorgeous options but I truly believe Brooklyn Arts Center is by far one of the most historic, unique, eloquent ,and multi-functional venues in town. It was able to hold my 230 guests with a band! I was also able to have the flexibility to pick and choose every single vendor from rentals of chairs and tables, to china and flatware, to food, florals, and decorations. It is the total opposite from what we like to call a "cookie cutter country club wedding." IT has so much personality and the space is so gorgeous in itself that you don't have to spend so much money in dressing it up the way you like. We had our ceremony inside, cocktail hour in the courtyard and then reception back inside. The flip was made possibly by my awesome wedding planner and it was stunning. Rich and his crew at BAC are the easiest to work with and are the sweetest. I was able to use the manse next door to get ready all day with my girls and will cherish it for a lifetime. It was the perfect day in the perfect space and if I could do it again I would do it at the BAC!
