inator we thought we were hiring. We ended up with a new woman who had no idea how to do her job. From the minute we got there until we left there was one problem after another including not getting service we paid for in the contract. During the rehearsal my daughter ended up running it and lining everyone up because the coordinator seemed to not have answers for anything. We never saw the coordinator all morning long after being told the bridal room we were to go to was "upstairs" without even being escorted to it. She was not aware of where the bride or groom was and the boys were walked right past the bridal room. The girls were running downstairs to set up stuff that wasn't put out correctly. Despite explicit directions about adult vs children's thank you gifts, the children got adult gifts which were not appropriate. The children's gifts were found under the table at the end of the night. No one was directing anyone where to go and one of the guests had to open the ceremony doors and direct people to be seated as they were all hanging in the foyer and the wedding started in 10 mins. !The list of major problems is very long - the potato bar and prime rib station were placed in a separate room and no one bothered to inform the guests so no one knew they were there. We paid for two servers but there was only one. There was no silverware put out and when we asked we were given plastic forks and knives. The dirty dishes piled up on the cocktail tables. The temperature of the ceremony room was very cold and the reception area was very hot. We were told the manager controlled the temperature (2 times by 2 different employees) and he wasn't there. When we requested something be done about it we were told to open doors. Was that our job? When the coordinator was addressed as not doing her job she was very rude and unprofessional. She then hid in the kitchen for the rest of the day. When my husband and I met with the manager to discuss 5 pages of complaints and poor service, he acknowledged that it was unacceptable service and we agreed to a small reimbursement of funds. No contingencies attached. However, he sent us the check, and then stopped payment on it causing bank fees because my daughter wrote a fair but poor review. He threatened us that we needed to take it down. We said she did not have to take any review down and that he could not change the agreement we all had accepted. I had it in writing as per email. My husband was nothing but respectful when speaking to him and yet he was incredibly unprofessional and rude. We ended up having to speak to a lawyer and going over his head before he finally gave us the reimbursement which was mostly for breeches in the contract in the first place. He never reimbursed us for the fees. I ended up writing a very poor review for him at that time which I would not have done if he would have honored his agreement. And apparently he had it removed as I didn't see it after I wrote it. So I guess you can't believe all of the ratings.

more hors d'oeuvres options than we could count. Most places that we looked at gave you your choice of 6 to 8. Not Brookside, they gave us everything. The owner there, Dave is great to work with. His attention to detail is what made the day great. We picked kielbasa for our menu and he went down to Port Richmond to get it. He setup an ice cream bar at our dessert station. I had various decorations, he made sure they were all exactly where I wanted them. We had 11 kids at our wedding, he made sure that they were well taken care of. Brookside's pricing beat out several other venues that we looked at and they offered us much more. To top everything off, the venue was decorated for Christmas and looked absolutely stunning. We could not have asked for a better reception.

he food was delicious, and the drinks did not disappoint! If you are looking for a beautiful venue with excellent service, this is the place for you!

le. He's also extremely accommodating to you in terms of menu (food and alcohol). I had a wedding of 275 people and the night went seamlessly - highly recommend for your wedding event!
