Brooksley started playing violin and traveling with her family at five years old! She quickly discovered her passion for music and travel, and aspired to combine them into a thrilling career. She also comes from a musical family as her Great Grandfather's cousin, bassoonist Hugo Fox, conceptualized making the famous world-class bassoons in the United States. Some of the places she has lived in and traveled to include France, Sweden, Japan, Cayman Islands, Turks & Caicos, Costa Rica, New Zealand, Italy, Denmark, England, Alaska, and the Grand Canyon. She studied with the Suzuki program and private teachers, including Paul Stein from the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and she was a first violinist for the Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphonies Orchestra in Minnesota for ten years. She continued her musical studies at George Washington University in Washington, DC while also studying French and English Literature, and she also performed as a professional string trio. She was the featured violinist at George Washington University Alumni Association's Featured Solo Musician's Concert.

Save yourself time shopping around for a violinist and hire Brooksley Bishop! My new husband & I hired Brooksley to play at our wedding in Fallbrook, CA early August 2024. Not only did she show professionalism and knowledge throughout the entire planning process but she also genuinely cares about creating the targeted vibe and choosing the best song list. I honestly would have been lost without her & her song recommendations. She definitely nailed it!!! We ended up having her play pre-ceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour, first dance and dinner. She played beautifully throughout the event and made our day that much more magical.

Brooksley is so amazing to work with and has been nothing. but great to begin with. I appreciate all of her suggestions and helping me putting a playlist together for our ceremony. Planning a wedding is already hard enough, but Brooksley was such a delight to work with. I would recommend her to anyone. She has a big playlist and even helped looked up a song for us as my now husband and I met at an Above & Beyond concert. Ahh, let me just tell you how beautiful it was. I recently received some raw clips from our wedding and hearing her play is just giving me chills again. She definitely help set the mood and I heard there was a lot of teary eyes during our ceremony. I cannot thank you enough Brooksley!!

Brooksley was, without exaggeration, the sweetest and most perfect choice we possibly could have made for our wedding. Along with being extremely talented, she was patient and kind throughout the process of selecting songs and background tracks and went well out of her way to make sure that everything was exactly the way we wanted it. My only regret is that our wedding was an absolute whirlwind and everything went by so fast that I was unable to enjoy her full performance! Our guests all said she was amazing, and they were spot-on in that assessment! Walking down the aisle to her music was magical, and if we could choose our musician again, we’d choose Brooksley in a heartbeat! Highly recommend! Thank you, Brooksley, for being the best!

Brooksley did our ceremony violin Music! Our guests enjoyed the outdoor music! She did a violin rendition of our wedding song “Till They Take my Heart Away…” as part of the special request ! She made is extra special by talking to us prior to the wedding and she had a clear plan of what to do and she was very professional about it. Thank you Brooksley! What can I say she is an absolute talent and a dream to work with! Brooksley played at my wedding and impressed all of our guests! She can even play the Thong Song by Sisqo, and my mind is still blown from that!! So incredible! She can literally play any song on the violin and with perfection. Wow! Brooksley is simply phenomenal. She has such an incredible and diverse range of music, from hip hop to adult contemporary - and she plays it all on her violin so seamlessly. Prior to the wedding, I sent her a specific playlist for the ceremony, pre-ceremony and recessional, all of which she played beautifully. Brooksley was so friendly and accommodating in our email communication that when I finally met her in person, I felt as though I already knew her! She is a joy to work with and I would recommend her without question to anyone looking for a talented violinist for their special occasion. Brooksley provided live music for our ceremony and cocktail hour. Everything about working with her was amazing! She was very communicative and her track list was awesome! I would definitely recommend working with her for your wedding or special event. She provided a total wow factor for guests! On top of that she is super sweet and a great presence to have around on your wedding day! Also, I didn’t have a wedding planner or coordinator and she handled set up with a breeze which helped me out a lot. Thanks Brooksley!!

Surprise Engagement and Wedding! Brooksley was absolutely amazing! From the very initial contact, she was prompt, responsive, helpful, professional and a blessing. Her music and suggested playlist could not have been anymore perfect! Wish we could give more than 5 stars! From our very first chat to the day of the wedding, Brooksley was everything you would want a professional to be: kind, thorough, confident, accommodating, encouraging, excited, organized, quick to respond, and extremely talented! My only regret is that I didn't take time to chat more with this beautiful person on the day of the wedding! But those who did raved about how sweet and genuine she was! I'm not surprised because that is exactly what I'm imagined via our email conversations! I am forever thankful for the beautifully rich sound she brought to our daughter's wedding!

We had Brooksley play at our wedding and it was absolutely amazing! My family and I had a blast. She was able to play each song we requested and even pulled in background tracks as well! She is also so sweet and the entire planning process was a pleasure. Brooksley made our wedding even better. I would highly recommend her if you’re in need of a musician, better yet a violinist!!

I highly recommend Brooksley, she was amazing to work with. With COVID, we had to make several adjustments to our wedding and Brooksley was by far one of the easiest vendors to work with. She was very understanding and accommodating. When it came to song selection she went above and beyond. She was willing to look for sheet music or create her own if the sheet music was not available! Brooksley helped with making our wedding a beautiful event that was truly a day to remember. I can’t say enough how grateful I am to have found Brooksley.

Brooksley was more than I could've ever asked for She played so beautifully at our ceremony and cocktail hour. She is so talented and so sweet and when our Officiant was late she continued to play until we were ready to start the ceremony, and when our DJ was late she continued to play as cocktail hour went a little over the time we were expecting Brooksley is such a talented violinist, her music made our ceremony so special And she is such a pleasure to work with, she is a beautiful human being inside and out and I am so happy I booked her for my wedding

Brooksley did a wonderful job playing at our wedding - both the ceremony and cocktail hour immediately following it. She was fantastic and I would highly recommend her to anyone! First, she was very responsive to all emails, had great suggestions (particularly important since I didn't really have much of a "vision" and she was able to almost read my mind), and was very flexible when our plans changed and we wanted to add in a bit more playing time. She made the entire experience super easy and was great to work with. Second, she is super talented. So many of our guests commented on her outstanding performance and really enjoyed that atmosphere she gave to the cocktail hour. She can do it all - classical to modern pop. Can't thank her enough!

Brooksley was nothing short of AMAZING!!!! She communicated with me from beginning to end, which provides ease and comfort when planning a wedding. Her music selection was exactly what I was looking for, and when I met with her she asked if there was anything I wanted to add...she was extremely accommodating especially when I changed one of my songs a week before! This part of my wedding planning was definitely the smoothness! She plays beautifully and I received so many compliments on the ambience she provided for my guests.
