Brotherhood Winery is America’s oldest winery, dating back to 1810 when a French Huguenot emigre named Jean Jaques purchased the land and began planting grapes. By 1839, his first underground cellars were dug and Jaques fermented his first vintage wine. Those cellars are still in use today

This venue really spoke to me, my family had so many special memories here because it’s one of the oldest wineries in New York. Without knowing that before we picked that location ...
for our wedding, my mother-in- law planned a double date for us and took us to this winery to consider this for our wedding venue. We were just amazed and so stunned on how breathing taking it was and then we imagined our whole wedding day there.
After that moment, we chose that place to be our venue. We got in contact with Donny - he made our dreams come true. He was helpful and attentive with detail. He truly made our special day come together. Thank you.
This venue made the wedding of our dreams possible, and so too did the wonderful people who work there. They made our wedding day stress-free, and made sure to keep bringing us foo...
d and drinks because otherwise we wouldn’t have had time! We came out of our wedding feeling like we had new friends in the staff. The food was extraordinary and our guests raved about it!
The venue is beautiful Donny was very responsive anytime I had a question for him. We are very happy with our decision to have our wedding here.
There is no question that Brotherhood and Inn Credible made our wedding absolutely perfect! Donny was a gem to deal with from start to finish. The food turned out amazing, the venu...
e set up was everything we wanted, and the bar staff kept everyone quenched! Eileen was an absolute superstar and her team could not have been more helpful and patient with us, toughing it out through the rain and making our guests feel comfortable in every way. They made the day so special for us, even giving us "our moment" after cocktail hour with just us two and our appetizers that I will remember forever. We cannot express enough how beautiful everything came out and can't imagine doing it with anyone else. They are a special group and are a perfect pick for any catering needs, big to small. Thank you guys so much!!!
Beautiful location, amazing people, I couldn't have asked for a better venue!
Absolutely beautiful venue, exactly what we were looking for. We had 165 people at our wedding and the room felt full, without being overcrowded. The venue was beautiful, my guest...
s could not say enough good things about the food, and the bartenders and wait staff worked quickly. Even with last minute thunderstorms rolling in at the time of our ceremony, the team did an amazing job of making sure our day was still special. Brotherhood Winery was the best.

r bride and groom. A huge thank you to the wedding coordinators Trish and Eileen, they are so helpful throughout this stressful process! I am so beyond happy with our wedding day, every single person I spoke to that attended our wedding day was nonstop talking about how much fun they had. They were so pleased with the service, and the food was outstanding. (We used the caterers at their restaurant 1839, def recommend!!!) Not one person said things were just okay, everyone loved it! Thank you times a million brotherhood winery!!!! Your venue is so beyond beautiful. **FYI if you get married here, they allow the bride and groom to take photos in their wine cellar. The photos there come out so rustic and amazing!!!**
Brotherhood Winery is a hidden gem! This venue is stunning and barely needs any decorations to make it look beautiful. The staff is friendly and so easy to work with. Donny was eas...

g points. Mother nature had other plans and we ended up having our ceremony inside, and my fiancé enjoyed it more than our original plan of on the lawn area. The venue more than spaciously fit 125 guests and effortless worked with our vendors. During the evening we received numerous compliments from guests on how awesome our venue was compared to a generic reception hall.
Donny was our point person throughout the process. Super genuine, very helpful and quick to respond and he additionally provided us with vendors contacts as we are not from the area.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about our recent wedding at Brotherhood Winery (11/21). Donny is the absolute best. Planning a wedding during Covid is a nightmare as I'm sur...
e you can imagine, and Donny went out of his way to hold my hand throughout the process and to work with me every time we had to pivot due to the ever changing rules. He was able to work with us to host the wedding of our dreams (with fewer guests per NYS Guidelines of course) that would still be beautiful and safe for our loved ones. Not to mention, the entire grounds are gorgeous and made for amazing photos. We used Inn Credible Caterer's, and they were wonderful as well. Everyone is still raving about the food. Pay extra for the lamb chop appetizers - everyone can't say enough about them. Totally worth it! All in all, don't think twice about booking your wedding here!
From the moment my fiance and I first visited Brotherhood, we knew it was an exact fit for our wedding style and needs. Aesthetic perfection, the history of the location paired wit...
h the professionalism of the staff (Donny especially!) made the booking an easy decision. Donny was attentive from the start providing a personal touch from initial signing through to the end of the big day. Our vendors all agreed- the location was gorgeous and staff accomodating. This space is magic and the ease with which our day was organized by those at Brotherhood made our day and our guests' experience the most memorable of our lives. Highly recommend!!

seating. It featured a great dance floor with it's size and smooth feel, allowing us to party all night. Restrooms were accessible and could handle a large crowd.
Donny was very facilitating, making sure everything was orderly while still being flexible. He was very responsive from the time we first reached out, all the way to the end of our evening.
5 stars, definitely recommend!
Brotherhood winery is a beyond beautiful venue. Most of our vendors, who were familiar with the venue, kept telling us to keep our decorations simple so that they didn’t take away ...
from the venue’s natural beauty and character. The venue itself is absolutely stunning with its romantic rustic charm including exposed wooden beams, original fieldstone, and antique chandeliers. With the venue as perfect for us as could be, what made our overall experience perfect with Brotherhood winery was the staff, specifically Donny Nap. We planned our wedding from 900 miles away, and therefore couldn’t do much of the face-to-face meetings that are part of normal planning. Given the circumstances Donny was extremely accommodating with both us and the vendors we chose. He was basically our wedding planner. He made sure to frequently check in both via email and calls to make sure we were on track with each and every part of the wedding from florist to caterer to DJ and photographer. He provided us with the names of ALL the vendors we ended up using which to no surprise were AMAZING. Donny was there for our wedding night and stayed with us the entire evening to celebrate. We could not be more thankful and appreciative of all his help- he truly made our wedding the best day of our lives! He is the best!!
Donnie is great, quick to respond and accommodating. Does a great job communicating what you can do, what people in the past have done, different vendors they have worked with in ...

everything. Brotherhood is such a unique place and I feel privileged to have held our special day there! Thank you so much, again - I can't wait to plan our next visit to the winery!

n Colorado) and making our wedding day such a beautiful occasion. Thank you so much for everything. Brotherhood's charm is extraordinarily beautiful and elegant and we would suggest this venue to everyone! We cannot wait to come visit again!
The Brotherhood Winery is one of the most beautiful, unique, and magical locations to get married at. It is truly a great value because of what comes included in the site fee, but ...
as they become more popular and "in-demand" I fear they won't maintain the best value. I hope I'm wrong, because it would be a shame for this location to become "priced out" for local residents. Donny can be a gem and once you book he is super helpful, professional, charming, and quick to respond. I think we got off to a rough start during the actual booking process, but our relationship course corrected quickly post contract signature. And night of, he truly was one of my favorite people in attendance. The rating reflects the lack of flexibility due to the historic location. No open flame, and there is limited flexibility with what you can bring in, no space to get ready at, and the winery is open for normal business hours the day of meaning people will be around the site while you're trying to take pictures. However, don't let this sway you. There's not really much you need to add to the property because it is so beautiful, so I wouldn't worry too much. BOOK EARLY if you want this spot. We were booking 18-months in advance and still didn't get the date we wanted, though it all worked out for the best and the weather was a perfect fall day in November. Also there's not really a weather "plan B" other than tents so keep that in mind if you're getting married onsite (this also affects the "Flexibility" rating). The day was truly perfect though and I am so unbelievably thrilled we chose this location, and cannot thank Donny and his team enough for everything.

old rustic buildings in the snow were marvelous and our guests LOVED that our wedding was somewhere historic. Definitely worth every single penny plus the wine is FANTASTIC! Thank you so much Donny & staff for making our night magically and everything we ever wanted!

ll in love. It is historic, stunning, and just absolutely amazing. Donny was so helpful from day 1. He was always available to answer all of my questions and concerns. I had a snowstorm on my wedding day and the winery looked absolutely MAGICAL. Guests are still raving about the venue. SO WORTH THE MONEY!!!!!!! Thank you Donny & the rest of the staff!!!!!

Everything was so beautiful and my guests had a great time. The process was simple and Donny was super responsive to all of my questions (no matter how crazy they were). And the day of - it all came together perfectly. The venue itself is just breathtaking which makes decorating easy. I 'm still in love with this venue and it was the perfect backdrop to my perfect day.

Brotherhood Winery was a beautiful backdrop for our wedding! If you're looking for a unique and beautiful atmosphere, look no further!

y to my decision and convinced me that I needed to see the venue asap. So I drove up from NYC and knew within 10 minutes that this venue was not the place.
The main room is beautiful. If you plan to only stay in this room, it's a great venue. But the rest of the complex leaves much to be desired and the view outside of the shoprite parking lot didn't appeal to me.

High ceilings, exposed wood, stone and brick walls. Amazing! My guests raved about it's beauty and rustic vibe. The owner Donny is very nice and easy to work with. The only thing this venue is missing is a bridal suite. I would recommend this venue without a doubt! Brotherhood Winery made my dream wedding come true! Thank you.

ot a 65 degree day in the middle of December). Almost every guest commented on how beautiful the space was. I worked with Donny who answered every single random question I had with speed. He was super easy to talk to and easy going regarding several of my requests. The entire staff was friendly and kind. For catering, we went with InnCredible Caterers who were just that, incredible. The food was absolutely fantastic (huge thanks to Kayla at Inncredible for putting up with me). All in all, it was a magical evening and much in thanks to the Brotherhood Winery.
A wonderful location for our wedding. Casual yet elegant, and lots of space for kids to run around!
An unforgettable venue for an unforgettable day!

at the venue and helped everything run smoothly. The event space has a ton of charm and it was the perfect atmosphere for our wedding. We were able to use the lawn, the patio and the grand monarch hall. The winery also provides wine and champagne. We could not have imagined a better location for our wedding!
There is only one word that comes to mind when I reflect upon my wedding day... Magical. I got engaged to my husband two years ago. We immediately decided that we wanted a rustic w...
edding reception, different than any typical catering hall. We looked high and low, and ultimately I decided to visit Brotherhood... the FIRST place my father suggested for me to look, however the last one I actually looked at. I immediately walked into the room and said "I am getting married here".
Donny, our contact at Brotherhood worked closely with me for TWO YEARS to help me plan my dream day. He answered every single possible ridiculous question I had. He found out my father is a wine lover and brought him in to the tasting room before the reception to allow him to sample some wines which would be reserved especially for him.
Brotherhood Winery offers a rustic vintage feel for a reception. My guests were in awe of the beauty of the Grand Monarque Hall. I heard a few guests exclaim that this place was a "hidden gem". Every photo taken at my reception is GORGEOUS because of the beauty of the hall and the scenery. My guests had an absolutely amazing time, as did my husband and I... this day was everything I could have dreamed it to be and more...
Our decision to have our wedding at Brotherhood Winery was not only the most important but best decision we made for our wedding. My now husband and I visited the winery on a trip ...
a year before we were engaged, took the winery tour, and decided then and there that one day we would have our wedding at Brotherhood. Our guests were blown away by the beauty, history, and fabulous wine at this venue! Not only was this a great venue with a gorgeous setting, but working with Donny Nap could not have gone smoother. Donny was quick to respond to any questions we had through the process, attended our walkthrough with vendors to give key guidance for day of set-up, and oversaw the wedding day-of. Donny was extremely professional and courteous to my husband and I in every interaction and ensured that we had the wedding of our dreams. We could not recommend Donny and Brotherhood any higher.
Everyone loved the Winery. It looked like a fairytale with the fountain at night. Donny Nap was a huge help and I can't thank him enough.
I LOVE Brotherhood Winery, always have. And having my wedding there was extraordinary.Donny Nap was great to work with, everybody there was wonderful. Monarque hall left my guests ...
speechless from it's beauty and warmth feeling. No need to overdo with huge centerpieces and black table cloths look way more elegant than white in that room.

solutely everything we could've wished for, wonderful wine made on site, an accommodating staff, and a manager who worked so closely with our caterer (Pamela's Traveling Feast) that between the two of them we didn't need a wedding planner!
Our winter wedding was everything and more we'd hoped it would be; for that reason I would HIGHLY recommend this venue and all of our amazing vendors.

wedding factory look wasn't for us. We searched through multiple winery throughout the 1 hour radius from norhtern NJ. As soon as we met with Donny from the Brotherhood Winery and saw the hall that was being built we knew we found our reception site. The grounds are one of a kind and the new Grand Maraque hall dosen't have words to describe how amazing it is. With exposed beams, stone walls, dark wood floors and high chandellers, I know that I will never go to a wedding like mine. If you are looking for a one of a kind amazing wedding here is your venue!
