Brule River Barn Wedding and Event Center

The Brule River Barn was an amazing venue for our wedding in June. It undoubtedly sets the gold standard for barn venues in the north woods. It was a pleasure to work with Jill - she is very kind, helpful, and prompt when responding to my emails throughout the planning phase. She also has a great eye for detail and design, from the gardens, to the cottage, farmhouse, ceremony site and the barn itself. A huge advantage of the BRB is that every part of your wedding can take place there, including staying overnight or for the weekend. The couple's cottage was comfortable and sweet, and the farmhouse is a beautiful home and that was very convenient for my family - seven family members stayed there, ages 9mo-88 years. Every wedding I'll attend for the rest of my life that includes travel between ceremony and reception venues will make me think back to our wedding and how well it worked to select just one place. One hesitation I had before the wedding was that some guests might find the location too remote and far away, but that was not at all the case. Everyone remarked on how beautiful the drive was, what a relief it was to be out of the city, and many families made a longer vacation out of it, either in Duluth or on the shores of Lake Superior. Many thanked us for making the opportunity for them to come up north. I can't recommend the BRB highly enough!
