I was referred to Julia by our wedding coordinator, and I'm so thankful that I was. She just made our wedding! While we don't live in New York, we were getting married in Central Park. Finding someone I trusted to handle hair and makeup was essential. Julia was responsive to emails and calls. She was on time for both the trial run (the day before the wedding) and the day of the event. Her work was spectacular and just made the photos! Brush Beauty was recommended to me by my sister-in law who is a photographer and said that the high studio that she shoots for always recommends Brush Beauty to their clients and everyone is always thrilled with the work. Initially I was skeptical, as I had done trials with an embarrassingly high number of "celebrity" makeup artists before meeting Julia and was turned off by how arrogant many of them were and not very happy with my makeup. As soon as I met Julia, I could tell she was different. She is sweet, down to Earth and made herself available around my schedule, even coming to my apartment to do the trial. She had the confidence to ask me for feedback on different things she was doing to make sure I was happy. Prior makeup artists seemed to have a set routine they do for everyone and sounded annoyed when I wanted to change something. Julia was happy to stay as long as I needed to make sure I loved my makeup. And I did! I hired her on the spot to do makeup for my wedding. On the wedding day, she was punctual (early even), professional and most important, my bridesmaids and I LOVED their makeup. Julia stayed with me until after the ceremony to touch-up my makeup, and it looked perfect all night. I could not have been happier with my decision to go with Brush Beauty and Julia Dalton-Brush as the makeup artists for my wedding. I HIGHLY recommend her to other brides with high standards.
