Everybody at our wedding commented on how amazing BRW was! Billy is so kind and always available for questions, ideas, etc. They know what they are doing and get EVERYBODY of all ages on the floor. So thankful for them!

BRW was absolutely amazing! Communication was great, he was available anytime I wanted to call and talk about first dance songs or anything I had concerns about/wanted to make clear. Billy was very accommodating and kind, we loved working with him. I knew from the start that I wanted my sister to sing me & my husband’s first dance song and I was nervous because I think most bands can be pretty strict about those things but Billy was so nice and loved that I wanted my sister to sing. They were so accommodating and even learned the song I wanted her to sing. They also were so amazing with the guests, and my little cousins who loved to be on stage. Me and my now husband were on the stage many time and it was so beyond fun!! Every song was amazing and I know everyone had the best time on the dance floor. I cannot recommend BRW enough!!

Billy and his band provided an amazing performance at our May 2023 wedding. So many guests provided compliments regarding how entertaining and energetic the band was. BRW will definitely get everyone out on the dance floor. They play tunes that appeal to all ages from teenagers to young adults to middle aged people to the older generation. Everyone danced at once all throughout the night. BRW is also very fairly priced for the performance they provide. We would recommend Billy and BRW to any bride and groom or any family or company for a private event. We have used BRW for private family events as well as our wedding. They are simply amazing!!!

We have had the joy experiencing the BRW band for a three events now and they keep getting better each time that we see them. We cannot recommend BRW band enough to anyone who wants the best band experience for their wedding. They play fantastic classic Motown hits all the way to contemporary pop hits that make everyone come to the dance floor. BRW drove all the way to Athens, GA for us and were an absolute delight to be around. If you are looking for a fun New Orleans band, look no further than BRW! We saw them at a Mardi Gras party in New Orleans this past February and loved them. When we started planning a high school graduation party for our son and 7 other families, I knew BRW would be a hit! They drove from NO to Atlanta to play a Sunday afternoon party, and as expected, they were SO MUCH fun and loved by all! As one guest said, "I can't stop smiling!" Their play list is a perfect mix, their sound is outstanding, and their energy is unmatched. When booking, I dealt directly with Billy. He was very responsive, great at following up, and so professional. Do not think twice or hesitate to book this band!! Wear comfortable shoes, because you will be on the dance floor the entire time!

One word: INCREDIBLE! One of my sisters had BRW for her wedding in 2015 and I said I would plan my wedding (on 4-29-2023!!!) around their availability whenever I got engaged and started planning- best decision EVER! They are so kind, Mr Billy is so friendly and the dance floor was PACKED all night!!! They are not just a band, but energetic entertainers and impressive performers! Best money spent on my wedding!!! Billy and his crew bring the party! They are so much fun, so talented, and dress to the nine’s! Their playlist will get everyone on the dance floor! Billy Kennedy and the members of BRW were exceptional at my daughter Katie and son-in-law Henry’s wedding in Destin Florida. They were not just a wedding band but really performed a Motown and R & B concert for our guests. Their energy, crowd engagement, costumes, and showmanship set them apart from your average wedding band. They made my daughter’s wedding a once in a lifetime memory that we will never forget. Billy made the contracting and coordinating easy up to the performance. This Mother of the Bride can’t stop smiling after hosting the wedding of the century for our daughter and son in law thanks to Billy Kennedy and BRW. They are the absolute best band and all my guests and I highly recommend them.

Do not hesitate to book the BRW Band for your wedding! If you love Motown, R&B, and fun modern dance hits, then you can’t do better than this band! The musicians were amazing and sounded exactly like the original recording. As far as the vocalists—is it possible to sound even better than Otis Redding, Stevie Wonder, or Van Morrison? Not sure, but Billy and his krewe definitely gave those legends a run for the money! The lady vocalist ( I wish I had gotten her name!) was beautiful and her rendition of Etta James’ “At Last” gave everyone chills. She did an interactive routine to “Proud Mary” with the bridesmaids that was a highlight of the whole night! This is the kind of band that has everyone on the dance floor and those who don’t dance have fun clapping and singing along like they are at a concert. Not only did my guests rave about them, but The BRW Band went out of their way to always highlight the bride and groom and make us feel special. As far as professionalism, Billy is so friendly and quick to return calls. He is very explicit as to what they and what the bride will need in order to make everything run smoothly, and he provides an extensive song list for the brides to choose from. From start to finish of the planning process I knew I was in good hands and had one less thing to worry about. I couldn’t be happier with our choice to book The BRW Band!

Billy and the entire BRW band and crew were absolutely outstanding. We booked BRW a year in advance for my daughter’s wedding in Dallas. Our guests had an absolute blast and Billy had everyone on the dance floor the entire night! Could not be happier with our choice on this band. They were amazing and engaged the crowd the whole reception. They also made sure that the bride and groom stood out and was recognized during the reception. The band is a very important decision to make and this is definitely the right decision. Played all kinds of music and only took one small break! Oh, and they dress nicely and fit right in with our formal wedding!

BRW is it! We pretty much chose our wedding date based off their availability. That’s how good they are! Besides having them at our wedding I have also seen BRW perform at other weddings and they have never disappointed! Billy and his crew are true entertainers and make it their mission to get the crowd up and moving. Our dance floor was packed from beginning to end. They are a dream to work with! We booked BRW a year in advance after I attended a friend's wedding where they performed. It was the best dress rehearsal ever! For my own wedding, Billy was very easy to work with. He provided a song list for us to select songs. He was clear about his and his band's needs for the wedding night. And on the wedding night, he definitely brought the energy. Billy's extensive experience in entertaining enables him to read a crowd and know just what songs to sing to keep the energy going and the crowd staying on the dance floor - even if it's not a song you selected :) . Trust him. As the bride, I knew I only wanted to be on the dance floor during the reception, and that's where I was the majority of the night -- on and off stage, dancing and singing with Billy. He's a crowd pleaser! One of my favorite memories was during the second set, after he had an outfit change, he had a jacket ready for my husband to wear and be center stage as BRW performed a song which changed the lyrics to include my husband's name! It was awesome. Thank you so much Billy. You're the best!!!!

The band was fabulous! So many came up to us, asking about them! They were ready for whatever impromptu dance/ethnic tradition we threw at them. Billy is charismatic. But most of all, they sounded GREAT AND help make it a blast!!

Billy Kennedy was absolutely wonderful! I could not have envisioned our evening to have been so special for us while extremely fun for our guests. Hands down best band. Billy and his crew seriously know how to throw a party. They are also so kind and reached out so often during wedding planning. One thing I loved about them is how they included everyone. Even my grandma was on stage having the time of her life. I can’t thank them enough for everything. If you want to have a great wedding or event, you 100% need to book them! Thank you BRW.

BRW knows how to bring the FUN! Our family has had three weddings in New Orleans and BRW has brought the FUN for all three weddings! The band has an extensive catalog of the best songs to dance to, and they also provided the brass band for our second line. The musicians are very talented and interact with the bride and groom and guests as well! Billy communicates well and was very responsive to all of our questions and needs throughout the planning process. If you want your guests to stay on the dance floor, BRW is your band!

DO NOT book this band! They canceled 5 hours before a wedding. Despite us trying to find transportation for them, they still did not come, claiming they needed more money! Here we are weeks later and they STILL HAVe NOT paid the money back! Very sketchy business/people .

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. I hired BRW for my wedding this past October for 10/29/22 and the day of my wedding I received a text message from him at 11 AM stating the following: “Hello Haylee, they just called me the van broke down in Slidell. I'm trying to see if I know of a other and close by or a DJ I can refund the money. This has never happened before.” It is November 15th and he has still not refunded the money. My family has given him multiple opportunities to refund us based on his convenience even setting up a payment plan where he could slowly pay us back, however, each time he has not fulfilled his end of the deal. I was very lucky that our venue owner knew a band and we were able to last minute book a replacement, however, that was an unaccounted cost for my parents considering BRW never refunded us the money that day like he originally stated in the above text. I just wanted to share my experience because I truly would not want any bride to undergo the stress and anxiety I went through on my wedding day.

BRW was FUN & FUNKY! They had an extensive and impressive catalogue of songs - we loved being able to dance to all our first songs “live!” Their energy is contagious, we got so many compliments both from local and out of town friends and family on what a blast BRW was. To top it off- Billy was professional, warm and a pleasure to work with. We can’t say enough nice things about BRW!

They were timely, played a great mix of classic party songs that the crowd loved. Billy was always responsive to my messages and emails and did everything to make sure the day went as planned. When my daughter got engaged, Billy was all over coming to our celebration! The band was the best, guests danced all night....we even had them play an additional hour! I highly recommend BRW band. We loved Billy and the rest of the guys. Billy always responded quickly to my messages, was reasonably priced, and the music was fantastic. They learned our first dance and mother/son dance and had us on our feet all night. Family called it the funnest wedding they'd been to in years and I think a big part of that was BRW. They've played three of the 4 wedding s our family has had in the past 5 years.

I hired BRW for my daughter's wedding in early February. I had heard BRW at several events and always knew when it came time for my daughter's wedding, this would be the band. They are over the top fun - they had almost everyone up and dancing the whole time. Their outfits are fantastic and they can play just about anything - they do put on a show! Billy was so easy to work with. I would highly recommend BRW for your wedding or party - absolutely the best!

Billy and BRW made my wedding reception the most fun I've ever had. My husband and I literally did not leave the dance floor... they also invited us up on stage to dance and we were LIVING FOR IT! I have had multiple guests tell me it was the most fun wedding reception they'd been to. They are SO lively, spirited, and interactive with the crowd! Not to mention the range of songs they play. Truly outstanding. I sincerely hope all my friends hire them for their weddings so that I can party with BRW again!

We paid Billy -BRW band upfront 8 months before wedding date and paid for all band members airline tickets to Sun Valley, ID. We canceled because the venue cancelled because of Covid. We gave him 4 months notice. He said he would refund all moneybut yet has still not . He even has not paid back the airline tickets. Very disappointed after years of asking and him promising to pay back and do the right thing.

I would give Billy and the BRW Band 10 stars if I could!!! Their performance made our wedding reception the amazing event it was. I can't tell you the number of people who asked for their contact information and told us that this was the best band they'd ever seen at an event of any kind. Billy did an incredible job from the moment I contacted him about booking to the last song they performed! The time, attention to detail, and energy that they put into our wedding is something I'll never forget. Stop what you're doing now and book them!!!!

The #1 wedding band in New Orleans! I’d book then 1,000 times again. They had our entire wedding on their feet from the first song they played! Everyone kept coming up to saying this was the best band they’d heard at a wedding and we couldn’t agree more. Every member of BRW, especially Billy, were FABULOUS. They were kind, accommodating, professional, and most importantly so much fun. The outfits and costume changes were on point! The music sounded incredible. Everyone was singing along and smiling the entire time. Do not hesitate to book them!

It's hard to describe the extraordinary funky joy that BRW brought to our marvelous wedding, held just as COVID was subsiding for a while! From the moment BRW started to play, the dance floor was giggly with happy hearts and grooving feet. If you take away anything from this review, let it be this...BOOK BRW. Seriously. There is no need to even bother entertaining any other band for your wedding or special event. BRW came HIGHLY recommended to me from another couple who used them for their wedding day. They had convinced me they MADE their wedding, so I literally booked everything else for our day around the band...AND SO GLAD I DID. They were THE HIGHLIGHT of the wedding. From start to finish Billy (the band leader) was an absolute JOY to work with. He is so funny, upbeat, and downright talented. They pour their hearts and souls into their performances and ot shows. Not to mention, they have THE MOST AMAZING OUTFITS. I cannot tell you how many people came up to us during and after the wedding asking who our band was because they were STELLAR. People who I have known for years I have never even seen dance couldn't resist BRW. Literally, the saddest part of the night was when they said it was their last song. I am already trying to convince my husband to throw a year anniversary party so we can book them again. Billy - thank you and the guys so much for playing our special day. I couldn't imagine anyone else. You came so highly recommended for a reason and lived up to the expectations...then exceeded it! If you don't book BRW for your wedding, you're doing it wrong. Billy & the BRW Band are unbelievably fun, joyful, and talented. I cannot recommend them enough. Billy is thoughtful and so excited to be performing. Everyone who is on stage has contagious energy. BRW got every guest on the dance floor (even my uncle, who NEVER dances). If they are available the weekend of your wedding, you should hire them - no question. We loved them - I'm already dreaming about how to throw another big party and hire them again.

Don’t waste your time looking for a band - this is THE ONE! My wife hired Billy and his band a year before our daughter’s wedding reception. (My wife said we had to hire Billy, because he was awesome and the band is the key to a great wedding reception. My wife was right: the band is key and Billy came through!) Simply outstanding!! Great music, big energy, awesome outfits. Billy and his boys are super showmen. Very professional, fair price, great music - what more could you want. Like I said: stop looking around, this is the band to hire!

Billy and the BRW Band were amazing at my son's wedding send off party. Billy was great to work with. I had attended a wedding as well as a charity event that BRW played at and knew I had to have them for my son's wedding party. They did not disappoint and believe me I had high expectations. We danced the night away. They don't just sing, they perform and engage the crowd. Its been 5 days and I'm still receiving texts and calls from people who attended and they can't stopping talking about how great the band was. You can be assured that the next time I need a band for a party, Billy Kennedy and the BRW Band will be who I will call. They made the party so fun that I had a friend text me the following day to say she danced so much that she was hungover and she didn't even have one drink.

Billy and the BRW band were fantastic for our New Orleans wedding at the Ursuline Convent. We rescheduled our wedding twice due to COVID and Billy stuck with us the whole time. He communicated with us regularly and honored the original agreement. The band played the hits and had incredible showmanship. Everyone at the wedding was raving about the band. I really can't recommend working with Billy enough. Overall, the band talent and experience working with Billy was A+++++++++

I'm very disappointed in BRW and how they handled our wedding. Our wedding was moved due to Covid. The original date was during quarantine and we could not have the ceremony or reception. We gave Billy the new date and he said they already had a show scheduled for that date but would issue us a full refund. This was in April of 2020. Over the past 17 months I've had multiple phone conversations, text conversations, and even Facebook Messenger conversations with Billy. Every time it was "I'll send you something next week". In June 2021, he said he would give a 50% refund instead of the 100% refund. I haven't heard from him since June 14th, it is now September 13th, 2021. I would not reccomend BRW to any of our friends or family. We had this same conversation with every vendor, from flowers to catering, and all were honest and accomodating. Even when we could not get a deposit back, we were told that up front and they worked with us to make it as right as possible. BRW misled us and strung us along.

BRW was amazing and such a hit! Billy was so responsive and great to work with during the planning process! We had a hurricane hit the week of our wedding and were worried about our wedding and while we had to change the venue, and even city the wedding was in Billy and the band showed up with everything else going on that week which meant the world!! They were a blast and kept the partying going all night!

top notch band. They are responsive, personal and ROCKED the dance floor. Would have them back WITHOUT question. Oh and their outfits were awesome!!

The day after our wedding our guests could not stop talking about BRW! A few years ago my mom and dad went to a wedding where BRW performed and they never left the dance floor. They got their card and the rest is history. Best band hands down!! So much fun and great to work with. We love Billy! Thank you for making our day so FUN!

If there were 100 stars, that is what we would give Mr. Billy and BRW Band! From start to finish, they showed out for our wedding night! From helping us with ceremony music played by their sound engineer, to coordinating our favorite songs for cocktail hour, adding a horn ensemble at cocktail hour, playing the perfect fun song for our first dance, they did it all amazingly! They put on THE BEST SHOW from start to finish! Billy and multiple members of the band interacted with the crowd and walked around playing different instruments in the crowd all night and got everyone involved! When it sprinkled towards the end of the night, the band graciously went with the flow to move instruments inside and were so kind about this hiccup. Billy was so responsive throughout the whole process and helped us move multiple covid dates. Also, Billy coordinated a second line band which was the perfect ending to the night! They are first class and the best band I have ever seen - we are still getting countless compliments about how fun they were! Thank you to Billy and the entire BRW band!

BRW is the absolute GOAT. From booking, to planning, to the actual wedding reception they were hands on and willing to do anything to make the evening fantastic. People are talking a week later about how every single person was dancing that night and no one wanted it to end! We had Assata Renay perform as the female vocalist and WOW is she good. It added so much to the night. They did an amazing job getting crowd participation and made me, a very crowd hesistant/nervous to be in front of people kind of person, up on that stage dancing next to them multiple times without a thought. They just make you feel so comfortable and happy!!! In my opinion no other band is necessary to consider because Billy and the BRW team has truly got you and will just elevate your wedding to a night no one will be able to forget!!! Thank you BRW ❤️

5-stars to BRW!!! I wish I could give them 10-stars!!! We recently booked Billy Kennedy and BRW for my daughter’s wedding last weekend. All I can say is “Amazing!!!” The whole “BRW Experience” far exceeded my already sky-high expectations – and THAT’s saying something!!! Lol. Having heard BRW play twice before (as a guest), we certainly knew what we were in for -- world class musicians and entertainers! What I didn’t appreciate (but quickly learned, as the FoB) was all of the hard work that Billy put into making our event such a rip-roaring success. Billy is a class act and is the consummate “hands on” professional – and such a delight to work with. Truly. He went way above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that every detail was perfect and every venue rule was complied with. We had booked a venue at which BRW had not yet played before and there was road construction in the block in front of our wedding location. On his own initiative, Billy made multiple trips to the venue during the week ahead of the wedding to closely monitor the situation. The night of the wedding reception went off without a hitch and can only be described as “magical.” BRW put on a show for the ages and they literally had every single one of our guests (ages 16 to 86) on their feet dancing all night. No one wanted it to end. Do yourself a favor – book Billy and BRW for your wedding and then sit back and relax. Trust me. Billy’s “got you!”

5++++ stars for BRW! Billy was so fun to work with and a joy on my wedding day. Everyone had the best time and I got so many compliments on how great the band was. I really can't say enough good things. He took the stress out of planning and on my day made sure I was happy at all times! Highly recommend booking them for your event, you will not regret it!

BRW Band was absolutely amazing!! They are so talented and made our evening such a blast. Billy communicated really well with my wedding coordinator and really just made the entire evening magical. We all had so much fun thanks to them and we were VERY sad when it was over!! Highly recommend :)

There are not enough words to express how thankful I am for y’all. Y’all had the party going from the moment guests walked in the door until we exited the venue. I truly fell in love with your amazing female vocalist as she led the charge for the second half of the night. The whole band had the most amazing personality and naturally allowed for our guests (and us!!) to have a BLAST. I would recommend you guys to every bride and groom I could. I love y’all!!! BRW is hands down the best wedding band I have experienced! Billy and his crew are incredibly talented, fun, friendly and interactive, they read the room and keep the energy up throughout the night. I had never saw BRW perform in person before my wedding. I was trusting what other people said about them; they made it seem like they were the absolute best. So, I went ahead and booked them and it was the BEST decision I ever made! They kept the crowd alive! Their dance moves were my favorite, they danced just as much as the guests! Everyone was asking about them and even looking them up online for more details at the reception! Their choice of music was perfect and they could not have sounded better! THE BEST! We enjoyed them so much at a previous wedding that we had to book them for ours. Billy is easy to work with and always makes you feel like a million bucks when you talk to him. The band really brought the party alive with their dancing, their talent, and even a soul train! We had so many guests tell us they've never had so much fun at a wedding and how much they loved the music.

Having BRW play at our wedding was the best choice we made! Billy was great to work with leading up to our day (even worked with us through a COVID reschedule) and their performance was above and beyond! They are so talented, fun, and entertaining! They played all of our requests and even learned a new song for our first dance. Every guest was on the dance floor and had the best time!

I have been to a few weddings were BRW has played, it was a dream to have them play at our own wedding! They were everything we wanted and more! They played the exact music that We love, they were even able to learn a new song for our first dance. We loved the way they incorporated our guest into dancing and singing etc. i’ve lost count of how many people came up and asked about them and raved about them. Such a fun time!

BRW went above and beyond and were SO easy to work with despite all of the rescheduling due to COVID. They showed up on a Tuesday night to celebrate our wedding with family and friends and had everyone on the dance floor all night long! Their stage presence is second to none and their variety of music appealed to everyone! In fact, my cousin booked them for her wedding the very next morning! As a lifelong dancer, my band was something that was very important to me as I planned my wedding and I couldn’t have been more pleased with BRW!!

Y'all. If you're getting married in New Orleans, BRW is the ONLY band to help you celebrate. These musicians and vocalists are astounding and they put on quite a show. We knew we needed a great band for our wedding because our families and friends love to boogie. Still, BRW exceeded our expectations! They filled the room with the most positive energy and had everyone -- even the wallflowers -- on their feet, grooving. By the end of the reception, they were basically part of the family! Billy was incredibly responsive throughout the planning process and helped us throw the best party I've ever seen. I wish I could give BRW 10 stars because they absolutely made our night.
