The group came together in 1972 as "Profascination." In 1978, they entered a talent contest from a local radio station, WBOK, winning first place. This afforded the group their first studio recording which was released in 1980. The songs were entitled "Something On My Mind", "Overpowering Love", "Try Love Again", and "Wrap You In My Arms." In 1992, the group was renamed "BRW." The acronym "BRW" encompasses the names of its members: Billy, Rohillion, and Wayne. The group incorporates three-part harmony with a high energy performance that is reminiscent of such legendary groups as the O'Jays, The Temptations, Solo, and Boys II Men. BRW received the 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award for 45 years in the music business.
