Bryan did an absolutely amazing job photographing our wedding. We first met Bryan at the engagement shoot, which serves as a great means to get to know each other, though it took no time at all to feel comfortable with him. He’s such a warm person with an amazing eye for the scenery/pose needed to get a great picture. On the day of the wedding, Bryan came early to capture some of the getting ready chaos, and he was immediately ingrained in the group. It genuinely felt like a friend with a camera rather than a vendor there to capture the moments. As everyone says, the night was a blur, over so quickly that we couldn’t wait to look at the photos and see everything we missed. We were blown away by the fact that Bryan caught every moment. It seemed like he would need a team of people, all spread out over the venue, to catch everything he did. From posed photos with family to action shots of people dancing, he nailed every one. He also got the perfect group shot, which shouldn’t be possible with over 100 guests! We had the best time with Bryan and cannot thank him enough for giving us pictures that perfectly summarize the night. I would highly recommend Bryan for anyone looking for a photographer.

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Bryan as our wedding photographer, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the results. If i could give 100 stars I would!! Where can I even begin with Bryan, he was simply a delight to work with in every aspect. From scheduling our shoot til the day of, Bryan was prompt with his responses and extremely detail oriented. The day of our shoot was so seamless, Bryan made my fiancé and I feel so comfortable in front of the camera and in front of all of new york who watched as we took our photos at the top of the rock. Bryan was so accommodating, kind and provided such a calming energy for us and our photos reflected that. On top of being so personally wonderful, his photos not only captured our vision, but exceeded anything we had in mind, and quickest turnaround I have ever experienced (i’m talking next day!!!!). So long story short, if you find yourself needing a photographer, I couldn’t recommend Bryan enough.

We had a hard-to-name style we were looking for: a combination of editorial (drama! lighting! art!), journalistic (candid! capture the real, authentic, unscripted moments!), and film (gritty! vintage!) which asks for a level of expertise and experience. While researching wedding websites, Bryan's photos made us stop dead in our tracks and look at each other. Here was the mix of digital that had film-like coloring and actual film. Here were the drama-filled editorial shots, like decadent pages from magazines. And here were the incredible, INCREDIBLE candid moments that captured volumes of emotions in split seconds: The surprise on a bride's face when their friends bumrushed them in public, the genuine laughter tossed by a groom over his shoulder, the mother looking in a mirror. THAT is what I was looking for. - A PROFESSIONAL: Bryan is just... really good at what he does. And he is really good at running his business. He is reliable, highly communicative, and high quality. QUICK PHOTOS + TURNAROUND TIME: Dude, Bryan is incredibly fast. He identifies money shots quickly, directs you expertly, and has his photo in seconds. His turnaround time is insane. He delivers you the photos within a few days. You get a ton of photos. Each photo is amazing and we were stunned at the beauty of the shots that sometimes, we didn't even remember him taking. Most of my friends wait months to get their wedding photos back. We got ours within two weeks. There were 400 photos and they were all edited. Select black and white. He even had film photos. I don't know how he does it. - A GENUINELY NICE AND FUN PERSON: He is so nice and really funny and sweet. I learned so much about him as a person. We bonded over silly things like the Simpsons. He loves his cats. I'm his biggest fan. He's worth it, if you are looking for one thing to NOT worry about and fret over during wedding planning - if you are looking for someone you can kind of blindly trust to do amazing work and be on top of it at all times - hire him!

Bryan Sargent was exactly the photographer we were looking for to shoot our wedding. We were looking for someone with an editorial style who would be more like a fly on the wall and let us and our guests enjoy our ceremony and reception as it happened without interrupting nor needing to take us away from our special day. Once we met him we loved his energy. He just is a fun and happy person to be around. Personally I was nervous about photos because I don't consider myself a photogenic person and tend to involuntarily make awkward faces when a camera is around. We got to meet and learn more about each other during our engagement shoot. We originally didn't plan on doing engagement photos but it was instrumental in him getting familiar with us and how we do in front of a camera. The photos turned out amazing. As for the wedding, Bryan made the whole experience seamless. He is very efficient and got all the shots he needed to without really needing to stop us or pose us. He just went with the flow of the day and got what he needed as things happened, and that was really important to us. He did his research with the venue and even got us up onto the rooftop for the best photos of the day which we weren't sure we would get access to. Bryan also has a good eye for catching unusual, unexpected, yet super interesting moments that happen throughout the day, which is also what drew us to him. He definitely captured some of the moments for us for our wedding. We skipped on getting a videographer, and don't regret it because we felt like the essence of the day was fully captured in Bryan's photos.

Bryan is without a doubt the most talented photographer in the game. Our pictures are the best investment we made in our wedding with Bryan - I receive so many compliments on the style of his photog skills and how he was able to capture our true essence as a couple. He is hands down the best option and you will be SO happy that you booked him - you will hold onto these pictures FOREVER.

I’ll start my review simply by saying we love Bryan and would choose him again and again! During wedding planning, we interviewed many photographers to get a sense of style, personality, and price. With some of the companies we talked to, I felt like we were just another couple they wanted to add to the docket and it was super impersonal. When Russell and I met Bryan, we realized we met someone really special!! We were nervous about our engagement shoot because we didn’t want to be awkward, and Bryan put us so much as ease. We had so much fun with him, and honestly couldn’t wait for the wedding. Leading up to the wedding, communication was clear and consistent. A week before the wedding I thought I might have communicated the schedule wrong to my hair and make up girls and he made himself available right away to go through the timeline and ensure me that I was right and all was ok. The day of the wedding, Bryan arrived early and the energy was so positive and fun! We had some rain but that didn’t stop us from having a blast and getting some of the most beautiful shots I’ve ever seen. When the rain cleared, we ran outside and got great photos there too! All the while, despite the weather (and our crazy family) Bryan stayed cool and calm, which was great for us. The day was truly so fun and magical and he played a huge part in that. After the wedding we got all of our photos back in less than 2 weeks!! It was AMAZING! I speak so highly of Bryan and all I can say is that I can’t wait for more family events where we can hire him to come photograph. We used Bryan Sargent's photography services for our wedding a few weeks ago. We just received our photos back (so quickly), and they are beyond my wildest expectations! They are absolutely stunning and they so perfectly and genuinely captured every part of our special day. Bryan is the absolute best! We can’t recommend him enough. We LOVE our wedding and engagement photos and hope to continue working with him again in the future. The top 5 things that stand out about Bryan: #1 His photography skills are top notch. In addition to having our planned shot list and locations selected, he creates on the fly and captures candids and movement so well. These creative and candid photos are our favorite from our big day. #2 We love his editing style. We prefer a style that’s a bit more editorial and all of our photos from him look like they could be in a magazine. It’s amazing. #3 He is truly the nicest person. He brings a kind calmness that helps so much on days like wedding days and is also the type of person you want to hang out with. This made working with him so seamless and easy. #4 He edits very quickly. Bryan was able to get us our fully edited set of engagement photos within just a few days and somehow managed to get us our full (and giant) library of beautifully edited wedding photos in just a week after our wedding. He said it typically takes him no longer than 1-2 weeks to do this which is so great as no one wants to wait a month or more for their wedding photos. #5 He was very accommodating when we requested adding a second shooter due to the size of our wedding. Although he typically shoots weddings solo, he had a great recommended colleague who came on to support photography for the day. She shot within the same style as Bryan, and because he edited all the photos, they all fall within the same style and the high standards that Bryan has.

Bryan is fantastic! His professionalism, friendliness, and skill is second to none. Can't get over how great our wedding photos turned out! They are so beautifully shot, and perfectly composed, with the sort of "Coveteur"-esque flash photography that makes everyone look fantastic. Bryan is the best - look no further. Bryan has been through all of our COVID events beginning with our engagement shoot, mini wedding and then the big wedding this past weekend (dying for these photos) and I am in love with the all of photos he has given us. You will find yourself accidently ordering a million prints to hang and realizing you are out of wall. His style is warm and real and he has the unique ability to find that "OMG" shot without having to stage it. He sees YOU and shows it clearly through his work. Deserves a 6th star. We were lucky enough to be recommended Bryan and meet him at our friends’ beautiful wedding and after seeing his work were so excited to have him photograph our wedding day. We had to change our original wedding date due to COVID restrictions and he was so kind and supportive to us during this time. Working with Bryan was wonderful! There were a lot of last minute details for our wedding (including in the hours before it began) and he adjusted with us at every turn. On the day, Bryan was on time and cordial. He provided direction when necessary, but really Bryan's talents shine with his candid photography. His photos bring a sense of energy and intimacy that take us back to our wedding day. I also have to point out how impressed I was when we were setting up the 'first look' photo. Bryan was not only looking for the best location, but also was aware of my wife's dress and wanting to put her somewhere where the dress wouldn't get dirtied up prior to the ceremony. It's the small things like that which show his expertise and professionalism. In short: Bryan was an excellent photographer and his skillset is amplified by his ability to work with you on getting those shots you've envisioned in your mind. Hire him!

Bryan was the perfect photographer for day of our wedding. We also did engagement photos with him to get to know him prior, and it really helped get a sense of the style we were going for. He captured our "old New York" theme perfectly and overdelivered on framable photos and candids that really outline how the full day was! Would highly recommend.

It's not often that you get to sit down to write a review and have absolutely nothing negative, albeit constructive, to say. From the very first interaction up until the delivery of the files, Bryan proved to be one of the best photographers I have ever worked with (personally and professionally). We had a small, 10-person, wedding ceremony and Bryan captured the intimacy in truly amazing splendor. He also worked with our budget, which was way below the typical NYC wedding cost. We felt so lucky our planners recommended Bryan - we’d also seen the accolades he had received on the Knot! Something we liked about Bryan’s photography when looking through his galleries was the authenticity he captured in his couples - he had beautiful candid shots that were captured at all the right joyful moments. When we met with Bryan to discuss our vision, we felt he immediately got us! We used him for both our micro Covid ceremony in 2020 and our larger wedding celebration in 2021, and he was an absolute pleasure to work with. Bryan went above and beyond for both occasions to capture our special memories and we’re thrilled to have the stunning photographs to remember it all.

Bryan absolutely blew us away with all of the images captured of our October 2021 wedding at Gotham Hall. He is so fun and easy to work with, and really captured the energy of our day. What I loved most was how he showcased the emotion in every moment. He is a pro and a very genuine person. We didn't include our dog in our wedding day but wanted some memories with her and he took the most stunning photos of our pup during our engagement session! He went above and beyond and scoped out the exterior of our venue the week in advance to find the best and most NYC centric spots to capture photos. Bryan is the best of the best!!

Bryan was easily the best vendor we had hired for our wedding. His photographic talent is not only excellent, he is just a delight to work with. He was very flexible and understanding with COVID related changes and actually photographed two separate weddings (a small elopement and our big day when it finally came) for us, as well as engagement photos, and delivered the same quality throughout. Not only did he nail all the normal posed shots, but he captured candid moments all night long without ever being noticeable. Additionally, he was always very responsive to questions or inquiries and turned around all the photos in a very timely fashion. In a sea of uncertain moments and rescheduling difficulties, we were impressed at his ability to roll with everything time and again. Finally, his dedication shone through when we got to our wedding venue and found out he had spent time the few days prior scouting out shots just for us, even though he had worked our venue before he took the time really personalize the experience and find new shots just for us.

If I could give Bryan more than 5 stars I would! He was a pleasure to work with, and very accommodating when we had to postpone our wedding by a year due to covid. We did engagement photos with Bryan (a year after we actually got engaged) after already booking him for our wedding, and we were thrilled with how those came out. But the photos of our actual wedding day blew us away. Bryan was a joy to work with throughout our big day and was such a fun and calming presence. He pretty much let us do our thing and captured every moment - posed or candid - perfectly. He did a particularly amazing job getting some fun dance floor moments on camera! His style is the best mix of being refined and polished without looking too contrived/overly posed/cheesy. Both my family and my husband's keep raving about how great of a job he did, and my husband and I want to use him for any family photos in the future!

We worked with him three times (engagement photos, zoom wedding, and then our delayed reception one year later) and he did such an amazing job each time. Amazing engagement photos! My Fiancé and I loved working with Bryan. We live in Manhattan and wanted to take some pictures around our neighborhood. Bryan made us feel very comfortable from the beginning even during Covid and especially because my Fiancé hates getting his picture taken. The photographs are perfect - very natural and un-posed and capture our favorite parts of the city. He captured the sunset lighting and shadows perfectly. They are exactly what we were looking for.
